LOTD 08/16/2015 – Summertime

Summer Breeze 1a

As Time Passes Me By

The butterflies are floating through the air.
The grass is green,
and the trees are tall.
As the wind whistles through my hair,
I let life pass me by.
As time ticks and the clock goes by,
the flowers grow taller as life passes me by.
And I dream of floating right on by.
But now it’s time to stop dreaming,
and wake up to a hot summer day.

[Alice G.]
Summer Breeze 2aToday I was in a total summer mood…
That does not happen too often, but sometimes it really happens πŸ˜‰
The outfit I am wearing we made for an event called FAD. The theme was Sundae Sunday.
Something dreamy and summer colored immediately came to my mind and it should have a little bit of ‘Kitsch’ as well. Why? Because Sundae Sunday reminds me of kinda the good old 50s/60s times with all the neat pastel toned colors and as well with a lot of plastic jewelry and accessories :p
The “Summer Breeze” dress – here shown in yellow – is a short dress with an amazing deep neckline in the front and as well a super sexy back with a lot of lines crossing your back side.
The “Tea Time” hat should speak for itself with the cute tea-pot and cup on the top.
To match the whole look we made the “Manon Heels” in yellow as well, with their cool heels, that totally add something special to the sweet look πŸ˜‰

MVW 2012: Evening Gown for Miss USA 2012 by Azul & Alienbear

So it seems today I will have my last Miss Virtual World 2012 gown πŸ™‚ The competition is already 3 month over now but the stunning and beautiful gown of Miss VW USA 2012, Miss Michaela Benazzi, made by Mami Jewell, owner and designer of Azul, could not be missed in my MVW 2012 gown series πŸ™‚

The “Michaela” gown like you can see it on the picture is the original version , that Miss Michaela Benazzi was wearing on the MVW 2012 runway. Mami Jewell created more colors and a fully cream-white version for all those who do not like the white-blue-red combination πŸ™‚ The wonderful top is made with such lovely details, like lights, shadows and folds that you nearly can feel the sating that is wrapped round your upper body. The flowers are a wonderful decoration that hold the blue and red flexible lines that fall down in an amazing way. The delicate light white fabric that makes the skirt falls down in a dreamy flexible way to the ground. The skirt a well is ornamented at the bottom end and again shows how much love for the detail Mami Jewell puts in her designs. The “Michaela” gown you can purchase in many different colors at the Azul Mainstore.

The wonderful elegant jewelry was made my Alienbear Gupte, genius designer of Alienbear. She totally picked up the white-blue-red theme combines with the roses and created a wonderful filigree and sophisticated set, called “Michaela”. The incredible crown is made of 3 parts that you just add one after another. The necklace is made of 2 parts and the earrings and bracelet only take one attachment spot. Alienbear again showed that she is one of the most skilled jewelry designers in SL if it comes to ideas, designs and texturing. Her jewelry always makes every person wearing it at least a princess for one evening πŸ™‚ So make your way to the Alienbear Mainstore and see what is new beside the “Michaela” set.

MVW 2012: National Gown for Miss Greece 2012 by ALB Dream Fashion & Alienbear

Today I have the great pleasure to show you the wonderful national costume of Miss Greece 2012. The amazing “Medusa” outfit was made by AnaLee Balut, skilled and experienced owner of ALB Dream Fashion. AnaLee Balut is a well known designer for contest gowns as she madeΒ MVW 2009 winnerΒ΄s evening gown,Β  MVW 2010 winnerΒ΄s costume and she was one of the finalists in the “One in a million” designers contest. With the “Medusa” outfit she captured many little details of the Greece mythologies. What caught my attention the most are the wonderful 3D looking snakes that go through the whole dress. The all look so real but not one snake looks like the other. The huge headpiece as well is part of the outfit and for the clothing layers AnaLee Balut shows her skills when it comes to designing. She combined different fabrics in different colors in an awesome way to one piece. The headpiece as well combines a lot of amazing little details. The golden part with the huge red gem, the long tail parts that again catch the snake theme and the hair itself. A stunning creation for Miss Calypso Oliphaunt, the Miss Greece for Miss Virtual World 2012. The beautiful shoes are as well part of the outfit. Very filigree done, again we can see how much love for the detail AnaLee Balut puts in her designs. The shoes come with a HUD so you can match the perfectly to your skin tone. The “Medusa” gown you now can purchase at the ALB Dream Fashion Mainstore.

The jewelry for this incredible creation was made by Alienbear. Alienbear made the perfect addition in gold and red for this wonderful dress. The thin golden lines in amazing shaped and ornaments holding tiny little red gems and white diamonds… really the work of a professional and Alienbear again shows why she is one of the top jewelry designers in SL with this wonderful and gorgeous “Esmeralda” set. The set contains the earrings and a two-part necklace. I am sure you will find the stunning “Esmeralda” set at the Alienbear Mainstore together with all the other breathtaking creations of Alienbear Gupte.

MVW 2012: Evening Gown for Miss Greece 2012 by Azul & Alienbear

Yesterday Mami Jewell, owner and brilliant designer of Azul, released 2 more Miss Virtual World 2012 gowns. I am very happy that I am allowed to showcase the stunning MVW 2012 Evening gown of Miss Greece 2012Miss Calypso Oliphaunt. This beautiful and aerial gown is another piece of art out of the hand of Mami Jewell.

For Miss Greece 2012, Mami Jewell decided to go with the traditional colors blue and white for the evening gown. The front has a very deep neckline and the aerial fabric caresses your upper body with every step you take.

The back view as well is very attractive. The deep back neckline gives a very sexy touch as well to all the elegance πŸ™‚ The “Calypso” gown you can find at the Azul Mainstore as well in a few more colors πŸ™‚

The wonderful jewelry was made by Alienbear Gupte, genius designer of Alienbear. Alienbear always stood for high-class and very elegant jewelry. Since I started modeling, Alienbear always was on the top for jewelry design. That she still is there shows the amazing “Calypso” formal set, that she made for Miss Greece 2012.

Alienbear used the deep front neckline of the “Calypso” gown for an awesome long necklace that ends with the neck line of the gown just right before the belly. The upper part includes one pice on the left side th looks like a part of a laurel wreathΒ  in gold and the right side again repeats the greek colors black and blue. The bottom end of the necklace repeats the same shape that we can see for the earrings. A wonderful set for a greek princess πŸ™‚

Mea Culpa – Hot Flamenco Nights? ;)

Latest news from Mea Culpa πŸ™‚ I am happy to be allowed to show you the last 2 creations of Tatanka Kaligawa, designer and owner of Mea Culpa. The first one is called “Baile Flamenco” and it really is what it is called. A wonderful red gown with a long train in the back, awesome ruffle parts and decorated with beautiful flowers.

If you take a closer look you can see how much Tatanka cares about details and the eye for the extravagant styles. The ruffles are wonderful made with shadows and lights and the flowers add an amazing “Flamenco Feeling” πŸ˜‰ The head decoration as well made of flowers is part of the whole outfit.

The second outfit carries the wonderful name “Night Spell” and it is a very elegant and extravagant gown. Petals and ranks are all over the black beauty. The skirt and the hat are mainly opaque while the top has a wonderful laced part, that I would like to show a little closer.

The delicate lace top shows again the amazing skills of Tatanka Kaligawa if it comes to ideas and texturing πŸ™‚ round the waist additional to the great flexible prims you have kinda golden belt, very filigree and again in shape of many little petals. The wonderful veil adds again some elegance πŸ™‚ As well Mea Culpa released some new shows but this will be one of my next posts πŸ˜‰

Lexi Vargas for “Claim the Fame” – Week 2 – Formal

For the first week of Claim the Fame the designers had to create a formal attire for male and female and make a description that was read during the TV Show on Metaverse TV. (http://metaversetv.com/blog/2011/04/claim-the-fame-2/)

All designs of the Claim the Fame Shows are available at the KULT District (for surl please click here)

Lexi Vargas, designer ofΒ  Brocade Tiger, brought a neat firework of amazing textures with the “clockwork” couple outfit that was not just formal in my view πŸ˜‰ As well I saw a light steampunk touch in that as well what really touched my soul πŸ˜‰

Lexi Vargas:”‘Lady Clockwork’, a striking formal gown in the Steampunk tradition. A three-layered skirt gives depth with two layers of striped fabric topped with a draped and partially jeweled top layer in the signature clock print fabric. The fitted, square necked bodice is a combination of the striped and print fabrics and the same theme carries into the beautifully shaped and traditionally fitted sleeves embellished with puffs at shoulder, elbow and wrist. The whole ensemble is drawn together by a semi opaque bow and drape effect that makes a dramatic silk waterfall down one side of the gown. Sure to be an eyecatcher at any formal event where Steampunk/Victorian dress is required.

The male model strikes a dashing note in ‘Lord Gear’, a formal outfit that has its roots steeped in Steampunk tradition. There is much attention to detail in this suit. A duel fabric jacket of chocolate leather and striped fabric skims the shoulder line, with the same effect carried into the pants. These clever styling details make for a simply stunning outfit. The jacket lapels and collar are decorated with gears and cogs and the pants with buckles and straps. A cream satin edged shirt with frilled jabot collar and brooch completes the look. This outfit could be worn at any suitable formal occasion enabling the wearer to stand out from the crowd and it would certainly delight any Steampunk gentleman worth his cogs.”

News at Angel Dessous – Elegant, Classy and just Beautiful!

Again I have the great pleasure to show you some of the latest releases from Angel Dessous. Nando Korbase again proofed his skills and great ideas for elegant dresses and gowns πŸ™‚

“Caitlin” in redkiss is one of the great colors that this dress can be purchased. A short and elegant dress that totally fits for a summer night cocktail party. The dress it self is shoulder free and a wonderful shoulder attachment in silver white gives the whole dress a very elegant touch. The short skirt goes into a light puffy shape like an opening flower that looks down to the ground πŸ˜‰

A very nice detail is the flower rank that goes from the shoulder attachment down over the whole upper body to the waist from the right to the left side. This attachment comes in 2 colors for every dress. In black and in the actual color of the dress.

To show the different attachments I just put n the “Caitlin Autumn” dress.Β  There you can also see the attachment one time in black and the other time in the matching color to the dress itself.

The second outfit that I would like to show you the beautiful gown “Carrie” here in chinared. This gown is just wonderful and has a very sophisticated touch.

The gown can be worn with or without that amazing jacket that is decorated with filigree silver ornaments on the jacket lapel. The skirt goes wide as it meets the floor and all the amazing folds and ruffles imagine a high-class gown with many little attachments πŸ˜‰ but the skirt is worn as one πŸ™‚ The love for the detail that NandoKorobase gets in his designs again can be seen as if you take a close look how the skirt is connected to the corsage. He did not simply add a skirt.. no he made a wonderful lead over with an amazing sash. The corsage carries a wonderful detailed texture and it is closed with lines in the back.

If you like to wear it without the lovely jacket, also this possibility works as we can see on the black version. Then the wonderful brooch on the left chest side gets more attention πŸ™‚

But best will be you make your way to the Angel Dessous Mainstore and take a look wich color or style you like most πŸ˜‰
