Yesterday the amazing Art in Hats 2014 event started. Again Quan Lavander took the challenge to again let her amazing event happen, wich brings together photographers or bloggers and designers.

I felt very honored, when Quan last week IMed me asking if I would like to be part of her idea and make the pictures for the stunning designs of Miamai. I love Miamai since in forever, so there was no doubt about it, that I wanted to make that. Quan TPed me over to take a look at the awesome hats of Miamai and instantly I had ideas how I would like to make pictures with them.

The basic idea of the exhibition is to bring designers, artists and photographers together in an art exhibition / sales event by presenting hats built by artists and fashion designers in combination with photos made by photographer, bloggers or graphic artists. The photos are meant to be an art shot.

Hats are such an important accessory to so many stylings that the idea of an event only made for hats really caught my attention already last year.

This year as well I am allowed to blog some of the amazing designs so it will be great fun after contributing those 3 pictures to ply around with some of the other amazing creations 🙂

I am very proud to be invited to be part of Art in Hats. These are the 3 pictures I have made for the exhibition and there they are available, certainly without the Art in Hats letters ;).

Today I have the honor to start a series of posts for the amazing label Orage Creations. I know Elettra Gausman for quite some time and I always adored her creativity and ideas. Today I am happy to be allowed to showcase one of her latest designs.

The “Leather Glam” dress in the violet, metallic leather is an awesome eye catcher. The dress is fully mesh made with the huge and high belt that reminds me about the 80s a little bit. The violet version is only one of all those amazing colors that you can choose from. For the belt you will get a HUD that allows you to change the metal texture between gold and silver.

The wonderful jewelry, wich I chose to wear with the “LEather Glam” dress from Orage Creations is the “Midbar” set from Finersmith. The whole set is menu driven and you can decide about the color of the gems, metals and pendants so that you can make sure it fits all of your looks perfectly.

In a Tim Burton Mood with FrEgo & [AD] Creations

A few days ago I got a call from 2 dear old friends if I would have time to pose for his new top… what a question! Certainly I have time for those I call friends no matter what.

Plus… I know what amazing things they can do and so I was really excited and curious 😉 .

Since yesterday you can find the amazing “Sleeveless Summer Wrap” top there as well in 4 awesome summer colors.

But not only the top comes from FrEgo… The cool “Cutoff Jeans” and the kick ass “Combat Boots” with all those sweet little details and in different colors, you will find as well at the FrEgo Marketplace store together with some more super awesome designs.

The huge and stunning hat was made by Aliza Karu, owner and designer of [AD] Creations. The “My head mesh hat” comes with a HUD, wich lets you change the headband, the upper, lower and inner hat texture.

Together with the arm warmers from .shi I felt dressed right and had this Tim Burton mood already because of the colors and the huge hat. So I added some ripped socks and a small necklace to not drag the attention to far away from the clothing and the hat.

For the scenery I wanted to use something Tim Burton like and I remembered a skybox I got longer time ago from DRD and together with the poses from Del May I had a lot of fun going against the casual idea I had in the beginning for that look*snickers*. Sometimes the first idea of a look changes with every detail you add to it or even with everything you remove 😉

Girl Power

A few days ago, as I was working my shift, a sweet girl landed. She IMed me and before she could say anything I remembered, that I know that I know her from a blog I found recently. Cierra Emor – cute sweet and a little rebel like me 😉

After we talked a little bit I had the feeling we should do a post together and I asked Cierra about it. First she said she would be too busy at the moment with her blogging for the FFL and I told her we do not have to do it right away, just when we both are free and wanna have some fun.

The more we talked, the more I found out what a sweet heart she is and when she finally offered me the friendship, I felt very honored 🙂 .

So I finished my shift and went back to my work, when all of a sudden my IM box rang and Cierra was in telling me she just put together a look she would like to blog with me. So quick it can come… *snickers*… and I asked her if she could send me a quick snap, so I could style something according to her look.

She came up with a bad girl look in a short dress and when I saw this, I remembered the “Uruwa” dress I found at Collabor 88. I never found an occasion to blog it but with Cierra’s look it was totally perfect. What caught my attention for the “Uruwa” dress was the amazing texture and the open back of that sweet and short mesh dress.

To complete the look, I added the “Cat Tights” and the “Piccadilly Overknee Boots” from LeeZu.

The wonderful “Birdy” tattoo comes from White Widow, made by the super talented Julie Hastings and the hair with the light windblown look I got at LeLutka.

Cierra found a wonderful place to mak the pics and we just tried several poses until we found a few matching ones.

The whole time we had great fun. Thank you so much Cierra for your patience with me and that wonderful time we spent together – I hope it was not the last time 😉 .

Nautical Dreams by GizzA

The latest collection of GizzA brings amazing summer dreams. The marine themed collection will touch all the retro fans the same as all the ones who wanna be dressed up to date.

I was super happy when Giz IMed me asking if I would have time for a shoot for the new collection. The whole Nautical collection is a super amazing summer line. From high waist pants, over puffy sleeved tops, skirts, short dresses, bikinis… all you need for summer you will find in the wonderful new Nautical collection from GizzA.

Today I would like to start with the “Sailing Dress”. This amazing short dress is available in 4 different patterns. I loved the blue & white one with the red accents like the anchor at the chest. The whole outfit in that pattern for me totally goes towards a super cute retro look, wich I really like a lot.

As well part of the new line is the super cute “Nautical” jewelry set. You can purchase it as single parts or as a full set. The necklace, earrings, bracelet and ring are decorated with amazing little sailor accessories and they match perfect to the “Sailor Dress”.

To complete that little fashion dream, Giz Seorn – owner and designer of GizzA – created matching shoes and bags for the collections.

The “Betty” heels are made for the slink high feet and they come with a color and texture HUD, where you can customize your shoes matching to the whole Nautical line. The bags as well have a texture change HUD and so they are perfect for the outfits and wich lady could resist to another bag :p .
