Fragilestrong with Salt & Pepper!

Salt & Pepper 02final

Today I have something very special and as well a personal favour for you.

Lately I got an incredible rope harness from Salt & Pepper. I did not know that amazing designer personally before and I was super surprised, that we share the same country in RL*grins*

It is always kinda funny, if you talk to people in English and after a longer while you discover, that you could have spoken your mother tongue :p

Salt & Pepper 10final

When I met that wonderful lady, I immediately had an amazing and comfortable feeling talking to her and the more we talked, the more I felt, I would like to do that sweet lady a favour. Just because she was so nice and kind to me πŸ˜‰

She released an amazing Rope & Flowers set on a very new event called Objets d’Amour, which was hosted by the owners or the ROMP event. The first round, where this artpiece was released, was going on from the 4th or February until the 15th.

Sadly, RL did not let me do the pictures in time of the event :/

But since I wanted to do something very special, I simply could not rush the pics through.

But I took a peek at the main store of Salt & Pepper and I saw that she has the gacha machine up there now with that amazing items πŸ˜‰

Salt & Pepper 08final

I know that many people have prejudices about ropes on a nearly nude body and many times it just falls towards porn or gets judged like that. But as in so many cases, it is always in the eye of the beholder or about personal taste I guess.

To me ropes can be very artistic and as well, tasteful and artistic lingerie or nude shots can be very impressing and amazing.

And exactly that, I wanted to transport on my todays pictures πŸ˜‰

Salt & Pepper 01final

First I put on the harness and all the parts that came with it and looked at it very close. It comes with HUDs for all pieces, where you can change the colors of the ropes, metals and roses. The set contains even more parts than the ones I used but for the purpose and look I was going for they did not wanna really fit in to my view this time πŸ˜‰

I decided to go with the harness, the gag and cuffs for ankles and wrists. All parts are scripted for roleplay as well.

The more I looked on the different pieces, the more I found all those incredible details like the little chains that lead for the ropes to the metals or the amazing detailed texture of the rope itself. That already proves the high quality of the Salt & Pepper designs. The whole set contains 5 standard sizes for the classic avatars, Slink Physique/Hourglass and a Maitreya Lara fitting version.

Salt & Pepper 03final

When I was staring at my pixels wearing the awesome parts of the “Ropes & Flowers” set, imaginations ran through my head about what to do with it.

First I tried the black ropes and everything I tried to style kinda was sexy and seductive… but I wanted more. The more I tried, the more an idea got stuck in my mind about opposites. I wanted something artistic, something sexy, something classy.. something fragile and something strong and powerful.

First I thought that will be too many in one but the more I played with stuff the more I was confident about it can work.

Salt & Pepper 06final

I got stuck on the white ropes with the rose golden metals and the darker red roses. To give an opposite to the strong and kinky look of the “Ropes & Flowers” set, I wanted some white lingerie – not too playful with lots of ruffles and lace. More something classy, simple but still modern and different looking AND for the Slink Physique mesh body. After spending more than an hour on Marketplace, I made my way into the Starwalkers2010 chat and asked – kinda depressed – about ideas for something like that.

I got some very good advises but one girl hit the nail on the head with her suggestion… Thank you Voshie Paine!!!

She lead my way to Chocolate Atelier (c.A.). I TPed over to the store and already was very impressed about the designs and I was curious what Marketplace would give me for that brand since sometimes gacha items or older products are not available in world anymore but still there.

Salt & Pepper 09final

BINGO!

I found the “Thea Bra & Panties” ensemble. The amazing layer set can be worn on many different mesh bodies and mesh body parts with the provided appliers and it has the layer versions inside as well.

The simple looking light, smooth fabric has some very fascinating cutouts on both parts, that make an amazing front and back view πŸ˜‰

Salt & Pepper 07final

While I was searching through my inventory for any kind of scenery or decoration ideas, I stumbled over something that I got a long time ago and never really used it. It comes out of a time long before mesh even was talked about :p .

The “Draped” set from Glitterati was released back in 2011 and comes with a sheer satin looking fabric prop and 10 different poses. I did not use all of them but for a few I wanted to give it a try.

With all the new windlight, the old sculpties did not cooperate too well and I had to rework them a little later in PS. Since I am not a trained graphic artist in RL… go figure… that took a while, but it was well worth every minute for me and I learned new things πŸ˜‰

I had so much fun doing those pictures and post. I met a wonderful and kind person, I learned about 2Β  – for me new – brands I definitely will put on my “to shop and watch out for” list so overall it was a wonderful experience and try to play with lingerie, ropes and opposites πŸ™‚

Fantasy Dreams with Wicca’s Wardrobe

Miniel 1

Today I would like to showcase one of our latest releases. The “Miniel” outfit is available at the actual round of The Fantasy Collective (TFC).

Miniel 9

For today I chose the blue/brass version of the outfit, as it looked the best in the wooden environment I chose for my pictures. At the event you will find 5 different colors for the outfit.

The body is decorated with some armor looking parts as well as with some very filigree chains. The cool arm and leg armor is part of the whole “Miniel” outfit too.

Miniel 7

When I saw the “Eva” wings from NeverWish, I totally fell in love with them. They matched so perfect in style and color to the “Miniel” outfit.

Miniel 5

The “Eva” wings are incredible detailed and wonderful textured, little wings, that fit to many different looks. With the delicate roses and the wonderful filigree metal shapes they are a must have for every fantasy wardrobe. The wings do have a HUD to recolor the wings and metals separately.

Miniel 3

The cool “Nanina” hair was made by EMO-tions. The hair is made of many little braided parts, that are non symmetrical and have an awesome high top part.

The boots are as well from Wicca’s Wardrobe. The “Inara” boots with the little golden spikes and chains totally rocked the style and the blue version of the ‘Chic Edition’, even matched the color of the “Miniel” body suit.

Atlantis – Inspired by [E.V.E] Studio

Aquarius 7

Today I would like to spotlight the [E.V.E] Studio. Owner and designer Noke Yuitza, always puts a lot of effort in her designs and she has a very special sense of art and design. Her creations always have a huge art aspect anyways what she creates. Today I would like to drag the focus on her contribution to the Fantasy Gacha Carnival event.

The whole set she created is inspired by the myth of Atlantis by Jules Verne’s book Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. The stong steampunk touch totally caught my heart from the very first moment when I tried the different parts of the set.

Aquarius 8

The whole “Atlantis Set” contains way more parts than those I used for today’s post.

For the pictures I decided to wear the Catsuit, the Ankle Boots and I combined the Wave hat with the Great Wave hat.

The whole set has materials enabled and reacts so wonderful to the windlight settings and surrounding lights. So for the best and most realistic look just activate the “Advanced Lighting Model ” in your viewer to enjoy the full beauty of the designs.

If you would like to see all the amazing parts of the set you can take a look at the [E.V.E] Studios blog: https://evestudio3d.wordpress.com/2015/11/06/atlantis-gacha/

Aquarius 5

To go more towards the Atlantis look I decided to add the “Eye Deco” from Elysium, which were made for the Cosmetics Fair. The cool geometric parts which are arranged like artistic lashes are the perfect match for the look.

For the makeup, I used a fe different ones from Nuuna. The blue “Litzi” stripes that go over the upper part of the face and the amazing “Ninja” in black wich covers the bottom half of the face.

Aquarius 3

I wanted to add some scales but more subtile than totally obvious. So I just used the “Dragoness Scales Black Overlay” from Talyia Tarber and for the body I got me the “Dragon Blue Scales” from [Even~Tides].

For the pictures first I wanted an under water scenery, but all that I tried did not really do what I had in mind and so I ended up at ChouChou, one of ma favourite sims for pictures. WithΒ  the wide field of water and all the artistic structures this place always inspires me even more πŸ™‚

Mother of Dragons…

Mother of Dragons 1

I always had an addiction for dragons and my mom always laughed at me when I said “I know there must be some left dragon eggs somewhere, just nobody yet found them. Dragons will be back some when!”

But believe it or not, even if I am a well-educated and taught person and have some knowledge of science… I am still not willing to give up that thought πŸ˜‰

Mother of Dragons 2

Second Life, gives me the freedom to play with fantasies and so it was kinda a given that I needed some dragons πŸ˜‰

Last month when I was invited to put some pictures at Windlight Gallery, paired with the fact that I was watching the latest Game of Thrones season, the idea did grow in my mind to do my very own vision of the Mother of Dragons inspired by the Khaleesi πŸ˜‰

Mother of Dragons 3

Β The dragons I fund at Manticore (Thank you so much Daff for showing me!!!), a wonderful shop for all kind of animals and fantasy creatures. They are wearable and will walk around with you as soon as you have them attached.

The idea of having kinda series for this pictures, came by snapping… first I wanted to just do one picture, and the more I snapped the more ideas came to my mind and all of a sudden they fell together like a short story. In the end I was not able anymore to decide wich one I wanted to use and I just let them be the whole story in the end πŸ˜‰

Mother of Dragons 4

For the outfit I chose one we made for Wicca’s Wardrobe. Originally it was made for a Game of Thrones inspired theme, but we now put it at the store too in 3 different colors.

The “Visenya” is a short outfit with the great collar and some armor plates arranged as a back skirt. It goes very well together with the “Dragon Queen Headpeice”, the “Dragon Earrings” and the “Alysanne Booties”, which also were made for that event.

It really was great fun to play around with the dragons and loose myself in a time that has been long gone… but dreams.. they stay and who knows… maybe someday someone will find a mysterious egg.. somewhere πŸ˜‰

Avantasia for THEMA Magazine

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 002

Avantasia

(some when in the future round about the year 2525 maybe….)

Be aware of the life on Avantasia before you venture into this world in the climax of war and anarchy, their enemies, the sirens of Venus who else.Β  The Avantasians are a complex race but by no means should they be underestimated, from their flexibility to the swifness of their long sharp talons, their catlike movements ooze in deadly elegance and subtle seduction as they prowl their world in search for the ultimate in style to seduce their next victim…I mean mate.

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 005

Sometimes you just need 2 to 3 pictures and you end up with 9 and cannot decide which ones to use. That happened to me when I made my pictures for the actual THEMA Magazine (http://issuu.com/themapublications/docs/thema_terraefirma)

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 003

The theme was Terrae Firma, and we was asked to create pictures about a new race of the existing planets or a new planet. When Tayler told me, I was immediately sure I wanted to create a new planet with a new race.

I wanted to do something still fashion related and human but to the same time, futuristic and apocalyptic. I love apocalyptic movies and art and so I watchedΒ  a few of my favourite movies while I was styling.

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 010

The first piece that came to my mind was the “Lucian Hat Nox” hat from Machoire. An incredible headpiece made of so many filigree parts and textured with such a great feeling for materials.

This amazing art piece is available in different colors, wich you all can see at the Machoire main store or at their website (http://machoire.blogspot.fr/)

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 007

Now I had to find something what kinda showed evolution for the future but still has a human aspect for the whole look.

The head-piece gave a rough idea for the general colors, back and some kind of metal should be the basic.

So started with a super old but still amazing top from Muhi. One of the brands I really miss in SL as they always were up to date and very fashion forward.

I know some people are against wearing old stuff and tell always to delete older things, but I am going more with my belly feeling and keep old things which I really like to combine them with new things. That sometimes can make a look very unique, as long as you keep the general style up to date and modern. Certainly some things are outdated some when, like the super old skins or hair, wich automatically let you look like 2007 :p , but for some clothing pieces and accessories that might not be the case πŸ˜‰ . As well I would say there is a difference in wearing old things for a picture or on the runway as some of the older things just react weird with movement, especially if they have huge static prims or sculpties, wich can look better with a nowadays mesh prim that actually moves with your properly.

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 004

To add a modern touch I put on my “Lavinia Leggins” in anthracite, which I made for my store Wicca’s Wardrobe. With the leathern garter belt over the leggings – one piece to wear – it got a strong and powerful look but as well some sexy attitude.

To finish the basic human look I added hells from Death Row Designs with some heavy chains and a huge plateau heel.

Now the challenge started to develop the human race forward to fit in the futuristic and apocalyptic environment, that I had in my mind for the new planet and race.

The first idea was the “Demonhands” from Death Row Designs. The sharp claws are important to fight and survive on the new planets face.

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 006

I so many apocalyptic movies females wear corsets in some style and this made me add one corset of Trilobite over the “Asymetrical Bodysuit” from Muhi. And what should not miss? Some weapon looking accessories. Those I found as well at Death Row Designs.. I bet you can tell I love this store really a lot πŸ˜‰ .

Β The finish was the “Centipede” spine attachment, that comes with a wonderful tattoo layer. The tattoo makes the spine look like, as it would grow out directly off your back.

All the poses used in this post are from Del May, one of my favourite pose makers beside PosESioN or Corpus to just name a few.

And like I said in the beginning, It was so hard to decide between all the pictures I made, that this post is a little bit picture heavy πŸ˜‰

I would like to thank Taylor Wassep for this amazing opportunity and the great inspiration of her theme. The THEMA Magazine is for me really kinda an art exhibition with amazing stylists and photographers and I am feeling very honored that I was allowed to be part again πŸ™‚

LOTD 12/12/2014 – Featuring GizzA & EMO-tions

Gizza 001

Today I had another shift at GizzA and I went through all those fantastic new releases I got lately.

So many new and amazing things and I had a hard time to decide what to wear today πŸ™‚

Finally my decision fell onΒ  the “Spiked Bodysuit” in silver from GizzA. The suit comes together with the amazing overknee boots and is as well available in gold and black. Even if I love black most of the time today the silver one kinda talked to me more πŸ˜‰ So I started with the “Spiked Bodysuit” and it’s awesome high boots. For the jewelry, I as well used something made by GizzA as the colors went so perfect with the suit and underlined the metal character ofΒ  the whole look.

The “Chained Treasure Set” contains necklace (2 parts) and 2 bracelets. For this post I only used one part of the necklace wich can be used alone perfectly as well.

For the hair I used one of the newer ones frm EMO-tions. The “Brandy” hair might not be the common choice for that kind of look but with the kinda clean look and still the cool braids made the perfect look for my mood today πŸ™‚ What i liked the most is that this special hairstyle has as well a special hairbase to it wich features the braids in a very realistic way.

For the makeup I wanted something simple day style looking so I went with one of my favourite makeup artists, L.Faune. The “Twotone Makeup” in siver-warm-gray and the “Natural 2” lipstick underlined the metal look just perfect πŸ™‚

MVW 2012: National Gown for Miss Turkey 2012 by Tres Beau

Today I would like to show case the incredible national costume of Miss Turkey 2012, Miss Xandrah Sciavo. With this amazing firework of textures, prims, fabrics and colors, Kimmera Madison worked out an art work for Tres Beau. Again Kimmera proved that she really takes it serious if models come and ask her for the national costumes for Miss Virtual World. She takes a great effort to research the typical elements and colors of the country she makes the dress for. If you google about traditional outfits of Turkey, you will find many designs that come very close to what Kimmera created. The colors, the shape of the prims and the combination of laced, sheer and opaque parts… super awesome. If you take a look on all the ornaments that decorate this stunning dress… the little chain parts and decorations at the belt, the wonderful chest part with the coins that are made as prim parts, you only can imagine how long Kimmera sat on this piece of art. The head-piece as well is part of the outfit with the beautiful decoration at the right front side. Talking of chains and coins, the jewelry of this great outfit as well is part of it if you purchase it at Tres Beau. Kimmera as well made the effort to create the perfect matching jewelry to this outfit. The cute earrings with the little bells as well are typical for the country and it’s belly dancers πŸ˜‰ The huge necklace combines gems and noble metals with a leather line in an amazing way. Again we can see, that Kimmera really has an eye for the detail. This as well made her to one of the most popular designers in SL and the SL Fashion world I guess πŸ˜‰ If an outfit is not just made of its basics, even if they are great, then you can see how much a designer puts in to his creations and this little details mostly make those outfits so special and unique then πŸ™‚ If you make your way to the Tres Beau Mainstore you can get your “Miss Turkey” and feel like an oriental princess πŸ™‚

I tried to find a nice pose for this amazing outfit but no pose wanted to do what I had in mind, or the different parts of the outfit were hidden, so the one I used is my first one, I made on my own*dances around* Basically I have to thank Kimmera for this dress that finally put me making my own poses as well πŸ™‚

MVW 2012: Evening Gown for Miss Turkey 2012 by Tres Beau

The wonderful evening gown of Miss Turkey 2012Miss Xandrah Sciavo – was made again of our genius Kimmera Madison, owner and incredible designer of Tres Beau. Kimmera seems like a barrel with no bottom for wonderful ideas of designing and textures. Not one of her gowns – and there were quite a few – of the Miss Virtual 2012 finales looked even close to the other, neither in design or color or textures or prims. The beautiful “Miss Xandrah” gown is a very elegant and shiny design with the amazing prims of the skirt. The skirt looks close to a mermaid skirt but does not start that deep as we know it usually from mermaid dresses. The first layer of fabrics that is made of feathers starts round the knees and it flows in an awesome bigger skirt part that looks more solid but still very aerial. The mixture of this 2 very different fabrics again shows how great are Kimmera’s skills in ideas and designs. The bodice is made very filigree with a shining fabric and wonderful dark ornaments. If you take a closer look you can see that this ornaments are delicious gemstones that are repeated in the earrings and the necklace as well. Talking of the jewelry… the awesome set is part of the gown and as well made by Tres Beau!!! The mixture of the dark gems and the white pearls is just the perfect jewelry for this amazing gown and I really love the idea to have the gemstones as a decoration for the bodice of the gown as well. It gives such an overall round and just perfect look. The amazing headpiece made out of filigree and aerial feathers just gives the little extra sophisticated touch to the “Miss Xandrah” gown. I like the idea of the side, non symmetric placed attachment for the hair. So do no think too long… be honest with yourself, you must have this amazing elegant and sophisticated gown for your personal wardrobe πŸ˜‰ Hurry over to Tres Beau and get yours πŸ˜‰

MVW 2012: National Gown for Miss Panama 2012 by Tres Beau & Finesmith

Today I would like to take a closer look in the national gown of Miss Panama 2012, Miss Mely Gibbs. The fantastic “Miss Panama”costume was made by Kimmera Madison, yes again a Miss Virtual World 2012 design by Tres Beau πŸ˜‰

I was thinking by myself, if I could think about something typical for
Panama, and I was not really able to. I tried to google a bit and found a few traditional costumes, that looked very close to the one Tres Beau did. Again was impressed on the research, Kimmera did to create this incredible and adorable costume. Panama is the southernmost country of Central America, and many different cultures and influences got settled down there. To get the exact information about that I recommend to take a look at Wikipedia, what I did too and why I should just copy information you can read at the place where it came from ;p (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panama) But I saw a lot of indian influences as well and some of those looked very close to the one Kimmera did πŸ™‚ She really put a lot of work, love and eye for the detail on this costume. All this different fabrics like metal, feathers, delicate fabrics for the clothing layers… for me a again a masterpiece of art. First, as I put on that gown, I thought ‘omg how can I ever find a pose for that huge gown?!?’ but I have to admit it was not that hard as I thought of… I kinda think Kimmera knows about that and she designs even the most huge looking gowns and costumes and you still can find poses to showcase them. The attachment points are chosen so very well that the gown moves naturally with every inch you move by yourself. For me that just underlines, that Tres Beau is one of the most popular and everlasting brands in SL for a reason πŸ˜‰ “Miss Panama” is now available at the Tres Beau Mainstore.

Miss Mely Gibbs chose an already existing set from Finesmith to complete her look. The “Coral Blossom” set sets an awesome blue accent as well with the necklace, the wonderful earrings and the stunning face ornament. All the wonderful round shaped gems picked up the theme for me and I think it was a good choices for the beautiful “Miss Panama” costume. Normally you have an awesome tiara as well that is included in the “Choral Blossom” it just would have got lost under that huge headpiece of the “Miss Panama” costume πŸ˜‰ The “Coral Blossom” set you will find in different colors as well at the Finesmith Mainstore.
