Pink Therapy!

Pink always was and is a challenge to me. Some of you might remember times, when I tried to act like I had a pink allergy and even had a special skin with pimples and spots. Or if I got pink outfits for shows, I always predicted I had to have my medicine and pills with me to not get those allergy symptoms again. It was fun times and for what ever reason even nowadays people approach me about that allergy 😉

That even more encourages me sometimes, to try something in pink as it can be a very strong color and not just a Barbie girl tone.

First I wanted to do a picture where I sit on an object, because I wanted to showcase the shoes as well as the dress, the hair and the jewelry. I realized, if I just have a simple standing pose, most of the time the shoes get lost in the whole picture as they turn out way to tiny compared to the the rest of the picture. But I did not just want a little close up on the blog either and no hint for my flickr picture.

Everything what I tried to sit on – that did not seem boring and strong enough as well as matching my mood – did not work out. After some time I really got frustrated and had to step away from the whole thing. I logged out and went to the couch, to continue reading my book. After a couple of hours, I took a look at the watch and it was not yet that late. I thought I should give it another try and see if now the muse would be genuine enough to come back and maybe even kiss me again.

First I did throw the idea away to pose sitting on something and reduced the set drastically to some lights and effects from E.V.E Studio. I still was I a certain mood, which I wanted to express via the pictures as well. Something pensive, lightly fragile and with – here I have to credit Ephemeral Skye, since he was so kind to listen to my frustration and had kind words, which helped to go back to the whole project – “a hint of defiance in her as well”. It made me speechless that he tried to see “behind” the picture and saw what I tried to aim for. He is an incredible artist, which I adore personally for his creativity and ideas and if someone with that outrageous skills gives you such kind words… that is really motivating I have to admit and I am really grateful about that.

If you have a very minimal background, poses and angles count even more to have an interesting picture in the end. I love to jump into my Poseidon poses folder when I try to have a strong mood or attitude in mind. I have no idea how Gryphon Vendetta does it, but he ALWAYS hits the nail on the head when he makes his poses. They are so strong and expressive, even if they have an ’emo’ feeling to them. You can play with the angles amazingly with Poseidon poses as there is always more than one view that works. With the right crops you can even use extreme poses or flying poses without having their initial purpose shown.

Before I now go back to my inventory and look, what I could use for my next look, I would like take a closer look at the shoes, even if they are shown in the picture at the beginning. I so often feel that shoes are underestimated and as well way too often taken for granted.

The new “Charlie Platform Sandals” are available at the actual round of Fameshed (like the amazing dress that I am wearing for todays post as well). The perfect spring season heels come as usual for Maitreya, Slink and Belleza feet and have the amazing 3 new HUDs that [Gos] includes for all their new releases. Afterall I have to admit… pink isn’t that bad 😉

The Darkness Inside

I did think a long time about a title for this post and pictures and after a conversation with a dear, sweet friend today, I suddenly had the idea – “The dark beast inside of me sometimes needs some release”

We all know that feeling I guess. You often just try to be polite and kind even if you feel that the inner beast tries to break free. In my life I learned that his beast has two different sides. It is very emotional and hot-headed on one side and sometimes it can be very dark ironic and sarcastic on the other. That is why I learned to control it and keep it locked in chains inside of me.

Certainly I was told to not always swallow all my emotions and everything that I get told, but the same time there is way how you can express this in a polite and adult way.

The most difficult it gets when you feel hurt. Because then this beast inside just rambles and rattles with the chains, developing immense power so that I sometimes really be afraid it would break that chains and just break free.

But exactly those situations taught me the most. When I was able to still keep it inside, it felt as a success to not let it win over me just because of someones judgement, rumors, gossips or words.

Every time I was able to keep it locked away, I felt that I did grow stronger. It was a long process and it took me years and sadly it is still not perfectly locked. But maybe it does not have to be, because everything has an end as well and so does patience, understanding and politeness. Sometimes people really need to know when they overstepped a line or did hurt me even if they will not believe nor change their behaviour – most of the time because they can’t as they have nothing in their life than trying to make others miserable. Then you do not even need to argue with those, because you can’t win. Anyways what you will say to prove them wrong they will turn it around and again use it against you no matter what. So all you can do is let it go, turn around and move on.

If you move on, you will meet new people in the future who will treat you with more respect and in an adult way. Certainly not only those, but all the others will wait for you left and right as well and maybe it is the personal challenge of everyone’s life to pass those who do not matter to meet those who DO matter – if that makes any sense. That does not mean you should not take any critiques, but you can learn to decide between the good and the bad critique. The bad, that only was used to hurt, blame or accuse you without any content OR the one that sometimes hurts too a bit – because you might have seen it different – but that as well contains facts and things that let you learn and grow from.

In the end you are the one, that has to make the decisions in your life – nobody can do or should do that for – as long as you can.

For me it feels better to have a mainly positive life (all of us have bad days or experiences) instead of a hate filled, jealous and not satisfied one. I always ask myself – before I react on things – if it would be worth fighting or arguing about something, or just smile and say thank you, turn around and move on. Both cases did happen and both will happen in the future, but if I argue or discuss I try to stay with the facts, be polite and kind and as well stay adult and not just release the inner beast without thinking. If that happens, I exactly would do that, what I do not want be done to myself – hurt, accuse or become personal and unobjective – and that is not an option to me if I can control it. I have to admit, over the years I became way more calm in such situations and maybe it is the age that lets you think before you take any action 😉

True Friendship

“And now to something completely different!”

In RL my English teacher – back when I was at school – used to say that if he was changing his topic, and after a roll of post apocalyptic posts (one is still missing), I wanted to do something different and finally my mind was able to do something else *giggles*

I am always fascinated from white pictures and rarely – if I try one – , they come out as I want them too.

But this time it did! I wanted to do a combination of power and fragile moments in a very soft environment.

All I added for the set were the “Waving Bioluminescent Fungus” in white and the “Rapunzel in Evie White Tower” in front of a white background. The “Rapunzel in Evie White Tower” reminded me of the thought of your inner voice, that talks to you if you have decisions to make or that you ask when you are down and do not know who to ask. It looked great in the background for the idea of the picture.

Do you know that moment, where people want you to be strong and you feel right the opposite but cannot show that, because you have a task to end or you have to be there for someone?

It is like an inner fight with yourself, trying to not let the fragile side win. Sometimes you need to be strong, no matter what. Even if I have been told several times to not hide my feelings – if you have a true friendship, sometimes your own feelings have to be pushed behind to be there for your friend. Thank god it does not happen too often that those 2 ‘souls’ come up to the same time. Would you not expect the same from a true friend – to be there for you when you need him or her most? and even if I am always afraid to bother someone with my problems and moods. But IF I do, I really to expect close and true friends to be there for me. And saying that I would even get up in the middle of the night and drive 500 and more kilometers to help , when it would be needed and possible.

True friendship is rare and even more rare in an online environment, but it is there. Many times you might be disappointed from people who you thought you know but if you stop trusting… you never will find those who are true and honest. You would cut yourself off to meet people who could be potential true and honest friends. I do not know if that makes sense – bear with the German – but I hope you know what I am trying to say.

In the past 10 years in SecondLife, I met many people. Some I still talk to, some quit playing and some just vanished. It was a rollercoaster journey in terms of meeting people. A few I let come close to me and they ripped out my heart and left me in pain for weeks. sometimes I even thought I will quit playing Second Life. But then there are some that I met, which caught me, gave me the feeling of being close to them and those I would not want to miss again. It might only be a handful people who really do know me – know more behind Wicca’s pixel – but those I highly value and I could not think about a life without them anymore. Even if we never met, we shared tons of hours on skype or inworld, even further on mobile communication tools and they became part of not only my Second Life but my real one as well.

Friendships are different – Some are super close and with some you share moments and experiences but you do not talk to them on an everyday base. That does not have to be bad though, they are still friends I do care for and in the moment we meet we have the biggest fun ever 🙂

I never would wanna change the past, as it did make me to what I am now – SL and RL. Even the pain made me learn something –  I never stopped to trust people or give people a chance to know me and become new, true friends.

Sometimes it is hard, but if you go out to find new true and real friends maybe do not give them the burden or the doubt out of your past experiences. They are not responsible for that, nor they know.

I hope I did make sense with what I was trying to say – if not… maybe holler at me inworld and you can help me doing it better 😉

Summertime and the living is easy…

Summer would be so nice, if it would not be so damn hot all the time :p

Ok, I am not a friend of too high temperatures. For me it would be enough round about 25° C with some wind during the days, but I know not too many would agree with that 😉

After a few days off, which were really needed I feel way better again and the little “hole” that the musical left in my life, needs some filling. So I thought, why not do a summer time blog.

The base for today look were the amazing new “Iris Heels” from Glamistry and the “Iela Bikini” from [sYs]. I do have a weakness for unusual things and the “Ilea Bikini” was really something that caught my attention. It is available in 7 different colors and was originally made for the Kinky event, but I am sure you will find it at the [sYs] main store now. It is made for all popular mesh bodies and has a perfect fitting for nearly any kind of movement.

The new “Iris Heels” are super detailed and I fell in love with the strappy design for summer. The shoes come with the amazing, huge HUD system like always for Glamistry. Glamistry always amazed me with their amazing details and materials and this new heels again do so. I love how you can see the shine of the leather for every color and as well you get the impression as you could feel the leather if you would grab it.

The beautiful hair, was made by EMO-tions. The “Summa” hair comes in a normal and a busty version and with all the amazing butterfly attachments! The butterflies are modifiable attachments, so you can replace them where ever you want.

The cool pool scenery I got at Trompe Loeil and it is called “Keliana Pool”. The pool has some inbuilt poses, but for my today’s post I used the “Beach Bunny” and the “Pool Bunny” set from Foxcity. Both sets are bento enabled and just matched perfectly to the outfit and the scenery. I have the pool set up on the little parcel besides the Wicca’s Wardrobe store, which is open to public as well to make photos or just hang out. Maybe you might meet India in her lovely tree housey there too 😉

Let’s take a closer look on the incredible headpiece and the stunning makeup of todays look. The headpiece was made by Noke Yuitza for her brand E.V.E Studio. The headpiece has 2 different versions. one with 2 flowers at the upper side (Version A) and one with one flower only (Version B). For both you get a HUD to customize the flowers, and the pearls.

The wonderful makeup was made by Julie Hastings for [White~Widow]. The “Bird” face tattoo was just so perfect for the look. It come sin many colors and for all popular mesh heads. You have the choice if you want to use it with eye shadow or just the wonderful ornaments around the eyes. For my post I chose the black version with eyeshadow.

I am usually not a summery-butterfly girl but this all fell in place so lovely so I could not resist to play with it and take some pictures :p

And again I find myself doing black & red tones pictures… I do not know what that is, but to me lack & red are a very strong color combination especially if you have a deep hued saturated red 😉

For the set I used several items from E.V.E Studio. I love the way how she does her designs, as they can be used from casual to fantasy up to artistic surroundings.

When I unpacked the “{The Wall} Mural Tir Na Nog ” pack from E.V.E Studio, I was totally in love with all this tiles that make a wonderful structured wall and ground. playing with projectors was fun with this wall as the tiles reflect the lights in such an amazing way 😉

The cool dress comes from [sYs] and I found out it’s ‘secret’ when I put on the HUD. Each color comes with a HUD and you can color 2 parts of the dress separate! If you own more than one HUD you can even mix the different colors :p

Tattoos – I rarely wear other tattoos that the amazing art pieces from [White~Widow]. Julie Hastings really is a genius with her tattoos and I rarely found such original, filigree and detailed tattoos somewhere else. Usually you have RL tattoos that, someone brings to SL, but Julie seems to hand draw hers one by one and it looks like her creativity has no limits 😉 The “GetOut” tattoo you can find at the actual round of the Kinky event.

If we take a closer look on the glasses and the shoes you will remember both being made by Glamistry. The shoes come – as usual for Glamistry –  with  several HUD options so you can customize them to your likings. The glasses are made the same way 😉

I more and more like playing with projectors in combination with the SL windlights and I am sure, I will have something more for you soon 😉

Red Poison!

I have no clue why but lately all the cyber and the vibrant colors to it, have an impact on me as never before.

Maybe it is the new hairstyles from EMO-tions that got me into it again, or as well the suspense between black and intensive deep hued, saturated colors.

Today – as I just said – the base of my styling was the amazing new hair from EMO-tions, which was available at the passed round of we ♥ RP, but it should be available in the EMO-tions main store by now.

I could not resist to make one picture with the newest feature from LeLutka for their bento heads. Finally we can stick out our tongues with LeLutka as well and even if I might not have that chance too often, I totally love it :p

LeLutka released a few more new expressions on the Skin Fair lately and they are so easy to install to your LeLutka Bento head, anyways which of them. You as well can keep them separate and use them vis the HUD that you get with the box as well. They are all cool and they are so different from really photogenic smiles to as well those few tongue out expressions, which I really got addicted to the past few days 😉

The cool makeup is not a super new release but one of my personal faves when it comes to cool and extraordinary ones. The “Tammy” makeup with its unsymmetrical look just was perfect for that cyber punk look 😉

The awesome dress I am wearing for this post comes from [sys], wich was released for the Tres Chic event. The “Ellea” dress is just really cool with the huge laced part t the top and the bottoms that look like upside down jacket lapels on the skirt. together with the “Jassy” boots and gloves as well with lots of lace, it just totally did it for me 😉

To just add one accessory I decided to go with the “Joyce” necklace, that was created by Wicca’s Wardrobe for our collaboration with Enfant Terrible.

The super amazing tattoo comes from White Widow again and it is one of Julie’s newer ones.

For the scenery I used some of the awesome designs of E.V.E Studio. I love to make scenes with her creations as they always add some artsy feelings to all of the pictures. I totally love her surreal environments 🙂

I guess I go and find a place now where I can stick out my tongue to people a little more before I go to bed, as I enjoy this new feature way too  much at the moment :p

“Happy Valentines!” – Every Rose has a Thorn

Sometimes, strange moods can be very productive…

And exactly that I had today when I started to work on the styling for this post. It was a mixture of depression, sadness, the will to do something and the red all over because of Valentine :p .

I started with the “Oru” dress from [sys]. With it’s very cool and unusual shape, it made a great base for my look today, especially because it comes in such a bright and strong red 😉 .

When I tried on the “Luzy” hair from EMO-tions with the “Oru” dress, it was clear this will become kinda crazy :p

Valentine’s Day is something we do not celebrate in Germany as much as the US or other countries do. When I googled it, it said the first Valentines Party was round about 1950 in Germany, even if the traditional custom of that special day goes way back in history. So the biggest fortune of Valentine’s Day in Germany probably goes to the florists 😉

Anyways, I personally never was too much into Valentines’s Day as I do not believe, that only one day per year can tell how much i do love a person. To me it is more the steady and little things, than a bunch of flowers on one day.

But with all the Valentine advertisements and what not, you have a hard way around that and all the red at least inspired me for this post and the pictures.

The cool set I built with the “Tree of Nightmares” and “Koi Glitter Puffs” from E.V.E Studio. The red version of the tree really kicked my mind to go even more crazy with the whole look and so I decided to add some heavy makeup. Usually I am for either heavy eye makeup OR a ‘loud’ lipstick but today… It was calling for both 😉 .

The more I was playing with my style and the set, the more the thought of the phrase “every rose has a thorn” settled down inside myself and it became a working title for this post somehow. Like every wonderful moment you have, always can be destroyed by one little ugly ‘thorn’ that hides on that beautiful rose. If you do not think about it, it all of a sudden hurts you. That reminded me of some recent things that happened and so the phrase became more and more something I kept saying to myself, to remind me about the beauty of the rose and not think too much about the thorns.

The leggings from Cureless [+] even more dragged into the darker side and together with the “Nemesia” ankle boots from Glamistry, the whole look got some kind of a rocker chick touch to me.

Every year I discover my own little Valentine thoughts and it always is a lot of fun to see how they turn out if I try to make pictures or posts during that time of the year. But in the end I always enjoy them and I always discover new visions and thoughts of myself about Valentine’s Day looks and red challenges 😉

Styling Challenge – It is all about a Bow!

Ok… I admit I am a little bot crazy sometimes :p, but most of you know that anyways 😉

Anyways, today the reason for my style and pictures was a wonderful head bow.

A friend gave it to me, it is part of her new gacha and when I saw it, I just HAD to think about a ways how I could showcase it 😉

So, where to start with… first of all, put the bow on. That already was a hard choice, because Twelve gave me not only one to choose from :p. In the end I decided to go with the”Black Snow” one. I always had an addiction for black, white and red so that one just really caught me.

First I thought about a lingerie styling for the bow only and went through my lingerie folder, where I found the “Claire” teddy set from Blacklace. When I did put it on, I realized only lingerie would not be what I would like for the ‘Bow style’ and I started experimenting with several ideas.

I tried some dresses and gowns, they all looked nice, but maybe too nice and smooth 😉

Then I found the “Hisa” leather leggings from Lassitude & Ennui in my leggings folder and with the black and white combination they looked amazing to the bow, but had a serious break/collision at the hips with the lingerie. I needed something to cover that up without hiding one of both. Next step – I typed ‘shorts’ in the search field of my inventory. Oh man… I better should not have done that… I did not even realize before how many ‘shorts’ I have…

Ok… focus Wicca… focus… you need something to cover the waist area. Maybe some high waist shorts would be a good idea! Back to the search window – ‘belted shorts’

Bingo! The “Celine” shorts from Asteria popped up as oe of the first and when I tried them on, I knew those would be the ones to use.

Now the arms looked a little bare and I thought about some kind of jacket. After trying some long-sleeved jackets, which usually were either close or too close in the front, I came across the “Neith” jacket, made by [sys].

That amazing jacket with the scales looking fabric and the short sleeves was just perfect, with the great open front. That even gave room for the amazing necklace from Empyrean Forge.

A tattoo for the arms came to my mind first, but after trying som of my favourite tattoos, I realized I need something more subtile. The amazing slit and sheer sleeves from the “Occult Jacket” just matched awesome under the short sleeves of the “Neith” jacket from [sys].

Looking at the style from all sides I really was happy with it, just some shoes were missing. No high boots, that would take off too much from the leggings, but pumps or stilettos would be too ‘tiny’. All of a sudden an ankle boots came to my mind, which I got longer ago and never had a chance to wear them. The super cute “Wicked” shoes from Moon Elixir. They even come with an amazing socks option!

With that weird mix and match, I got the feeling, that no location, that I know of would fit and so I started to build my own little set for the picture. The “Kira” sculpture from E.V.E Studio is an ultra rare of one of Noke’s gachas. First I thought it would be too huge, but with the great liquid looking ground part it worked out so nicely. I added the “Ivy Bonsai” and some parts of the “Chained Roses”. First it looked like a whole mess, as I am not the greatest set builder, but after some moving and twisting and turning it fell into place 😉

I never made a style based on just one hair bow, but I have to admit, that style would have never come together like this, if I would not have started with the bow :p

Maybe I should do that more often again… just start with a little accessory and see what it does lead me to!
