Girl Power

Cierra & Wicca 01

A few days ago, as I was working my shift, a sweet girl landed. She IMed me and before she could say anything I remembered, that I know that I know her from a blog I found recently. Cierra Emor – cute sweet and a little rebel like me πŸ˜‰

After we talked a little bit I had the feeling we should do a post together and I asked Cierra about it. First she said she would be too busy at the moment with her blogging for the FFL and I told her we do not have to do it right away, just when we both are free and wanna have some fun.

The more we talked, the more IΒ  found out what a sweet heart she is and when she finally offered me the friendship, I felt very honored πŸ™‚ .

So I finished my shift and went back to my work, when all of a sudden my IM box rang and Cierra was in telling me she just put together a look she would like to blog with me. So quick it can come… *snickers*… and I asked her if she could send me a quick snap, so I could style something according to her look.

She came up with a bad girl look in a short dress and when I saw this, I remembered the “Uruwa” dress I found at Collabor 88. I never found an occasion to blog it but with Cierra’s look it was totally perfect. What caught my attention for the “Uruwa” dress was the amazing texture and the open back of that sweet and short mesh dress.

To complete the look, I added the “Cat Tights” and the “Piccadilly Overknee Boots” from LeeZu.

The wonderful “Birdy” tattoo comes from White Widow, made by the super talented Julie Hastings and the hair with the light windblown look I got at LeLutka.

Cierra found a wonderful place to mak the pics and we just tried several poses until we found a few matching ones.

The whole time we had great fun. Thank you so much Cierra for your patience with me and that wonderful time we spent together – I hope it was not the last time πŸ˜‰ .

Etchaflech & Voluptia featured in the Maniera Magazine

ManieraModels_CorsetFeature_LovelyMiwako7399 Menna_December12_Lineup_v3

For the actual Maniera Magazine December 2012 (http://manierasl.mymaniera.com/) I had the great honor to be featured in a wonderful fashion spread of Lovely Miwako. She made a special corset themed article about how different corsets can look.

We all got sent different corsets from Etchaflesh and Voluptia and Lovely asked us to style them in a vintage non typical lingerie manner. As well she wanted us all to choose one tattoo that we wear through the whole spread.

ManieraModels_CorsetFeature_LovelyMiwako7399 Menna_December12_02

For the first picture Lovely placed me on the floor besides SterlingZen. The corset I was wearing for this picture came from Voluptia and everyone that knows me… I am a corset addicted even in RL, so to style the corset in a non lingerie way for me was like if you tell me I just won in a lottery *grins*

I love a lot the different vontage stylings from the 50’s to the 80’s ( it still scares me that 80’s are called vintage now too^^) and so I was going for my favourite urban look as well with the heavy boots and the tattoos and some fishnet stockings and torned stockings. The huge glasses and the pinup hair added the perfect finish for the look in my view.

ManieraModels_CorsetFeature_LovelyMiwako7399 Menna_December12_05

On this picture, I had the great pleaure to be with Katherine Comet a wonderful and classy Lady that shines at my side with a wonderful corset styling that reminded me a lot on the old racing pinups I saw so many times on that collectable retro/vintage, metal signs from coke or even others… not sure how they are called in english, mostly you find them in bars πŸ™‚

For the second look I was given the corset and the sneaker boots from Etchaflech. I added the neck corset as well from Etchaflesh, pantys and garterbelt from Maitreya.

Lovely did an amazing job in putting different ladies, diffrent looks and attitudes together to show a wide range of what corsets can do… weither of elgant, grunge, rocker, lingerie, vintage or burlesque… as different as we ladies are as different corsets can be used for anykind of styling, that you can think of πŸ™‚

OMG!!! Journey made a dress named after me!!!

God I nearly fainted as Herradura IMed me and gave me a folder with the new Prism outfit and I saw my name in the line… you can make a bet that I could not wait and imediately tried it on… the “Wicca” dress is a wonderful dress made of the mesh technique. It looks similar to the “Yoko” dress but it has a few tiny sweet differences. The little peekaboo at the top for example, that shows the cleavage so wonderful. The colors and patterns of the “Wicca” dress that I already saw are wild, crazy and colorful … crazy like I am :p

Mesh News from Prism!

We all know the awesomeness and problems of the new mesh clothing in SL πŸ™‚ Many designers already released mesh clothing and it really is a wonderful possibility to let the avatar look with certain clothes come more real. No more silly knee angles, no more skirts that fall trough chairs if you sit on. The idea of mesh really is a great revolution, even if there has to be done much more work on still.Everyone that uses one of the mesh featured SL viewers, can wear mesh.

Prism now released their first mesh dress as well. A wonderful short dress that can be used in all kind of stylings you can think of. I decided to go for a kinda Rockabilly styling, because I really liked that with that dress ;). Journey included 3 different sizes of the dress and 2 different alpha layers to make it fit better. For mesh you cannot anymore edit the prims, when you wear them, so that different sizes really make sense and with 3 options you pretty much have a good chance to make it fit your shape. For this post I used the “London Leather” version of “Adele” and I am sure if you make your way to the Prism Mainstore you will find many more amazing colors and versions of the “Adele” dress πŸ™‚ Dare to wear mesh :p

Future Fashion with Finesmith

Again I was in a funny mood and tried to find a way to show case the new Finesmith “Aphrodite” set. In the end, after trying different looks and styles I got stuck on a future fashion vision. The set contains earrings, necklace, bracelet, ring, lip piercing and the fantastic helmet. Again yula Finesmith created something extravagant. I never saw a jewelry related helmet before in that way. She included this helmet in an awesome way to the whole set. The set is sold in separate different colors but as well a huge fatpack , where the jewelry again has yula’s great color change menu. The menu let you change the metal parts in 2 ways. The petals can be retextured for another color and the spiked as well. Also the gems can be changed in color with the menu. “Aphrodite does not only have simple metal textures that you can change in color. Every texture has wonderful ornaments that decorate the basic metal, very filigree and light but they add an extra touch of noblesse. The lip piercing for adds the edgy touch and is a cool accessorie for the whole set. The color driven set and all the single colors you will find at the Finesmith Mainstore πŸ™‚
