LOTD 07/29/2016 – Lazy Afternoon

sys 4

Today I have again a post that fell together just by trying things πŸ˜‰

Sometimes that is the best way to create looks – unplanned looks I just love it :p

sys 5

First I put on the “Sensa Tank Dress” and immediately fell in love with those huge buckle in the back and the amazing counter parts at the front. Usually this is meant to be a dress but I could not resist to play with it to see what I can come up with :p

After I tried various pants, shorts and skirts, I got stuck on the “Hunter Pants” from Pixicat. With the laced sides and the great sand color, they looked perfect to the “Sensa Tank Dress”. With the pants and the top the whole look took a more heavy casual look and so I added one of my favourite shoes to the outfit – the “Triumph Boots” from [GOS].

sys 3

Β The cool arm straps are part of the “In Flames” outfit from Asteria. With the huge buckles they matches so nice to the top with the buckle in the back πŸ˜‰

Since I am really a short hair cut lover I could not pass the “No.Meaning” hairstyle of the actual round of On9 (July.. today is the last day you can find it there I guess) made by no.match.

sys 7

Now I needed a location to shoot. With this look I felt, that a inworld location would look better than an editorial shot in my studio. My first way lead me to one of the amazing Neva sims. I am sure you all know about those as they are the most awesome sims for photo shoots πŸ˜‰ If not you really should make your way to one of them. This time it was the Neva River Village. A wonderful sim with a lot of water, bridges and paths and a wonderful urban but modern and trendy look. I love the colors and tones and how everything works together so well for all of the Neva sims anyways what theme they have.

Summer Trend 2016 – Denim Shorties (featured in Eclipse Magazine July 2016)

E-Clipse Magazine - Wicca Merlin - Shorties 01

Look #1

When Trouble asked me, if I would like to do a few pics for the upcoming (just released) Eclipse Magazine, I just said yes without even thinking about actual summer trends, as I really do love to take pictures and work with magazines. Then he immediately asked me, what summer trend I would like to go for… I did not look over all the summer trends the past few days, so I jumped to google to be informed before I choose.

While I was looking over all the amazing summer trends something immediately caught my eyes… Denim Shorties! All kind of shorts, mini skirts, used, with fringes and what not… That sounds like fun!

I told Trouble about my idea and he seemed to like it. First I thought this would be easy as I really do like denim in RL and SL, but I shall discover soon it sounded easier that it was in the end…

Look #2

So first of all, I looked through my inventory what kind of shorts, shorties and mini skirts in denim I would find – hell I had no clue how many non useful things I have when I type ‘denim’ in the search of my inventory…

Β Most of my favourite denim things are still layers and I did not wanna use old layer items this time… and the next problem – a usual problem with mesh items – sometimes different mesh parts do not fit over each other.

But after some serious searching, I found a handful denim shorties, which I totally love. Now I just need to style them. Because I was told so often, I always only do extreme styles and mostly dark and gothic looking ones, I wanted to do 5 totally different styles for this little spread in the Eclipse Magazine.

Look #3

For my first idea – Look number 1 –Β  I started with the “Booty Shorts” from [M.o.w] together with the “Havana” short and head wrap from [sys], the first look went to a more boho type of style. For the accessories I went with the “Vilma” earrings and the “Sile” necklace from Kunglers paired with the “Wooden Bracelet” from artilleri.

Look number 2 is based on the “Briony Shorts” from Erratic. For that look I was inspired by a picture I saw from a country side advert, which told about the great lake sides in germany πŸ˜‰ To achieve the summer casual look, I added the “Polly” top from Asia Rae and the amazing summer floppy “Laila” hat made by Zibska. For the shoes I chose the “Tropicana” wedges we made for Wicca’s Wardrobe (Yes Grand, we did that.. once *snickers*) The look I was going for,was something trendy, summer looking and as well something simple and kinda ‘girl next door’ looking.

The 3rd look, I wanted to do something more fashion forward in a hipster or clubbing look. I started off with the “Wendy Denim Skirt” made by GizzA. A super short denim mini skirt. First I added the “Dead Romance” tank from Mon Cheri, a tank I used for various styles already as it is a perfect top to go for many different looks and the sizes are made amazingly with the thought to wear something underneath. The mega trendy “Pulsar” glasses and backpack certainly come from [sys], the home for unusual and futuristic designs πŸ˜‰ The cool boots I found at Stelloane.

Look #4

For Look number 4 I wanted something that I would wear RL as well. Some loosely casual but trendy and chic. something I would use for shopping or just go to the university or drink a coffee out with some friends. I always liked the ‘college girl’ look even if I am not in that age anymore πŸ˜‰ The “Boyfriend Jeans Shorts” made by Maitreya, are one of my long time favourites. With their loosely fit they are a great everyday wear. I combined them with the “Liliana Top” from Glam Affair and put on the “Batschkapp” we made as a gift for the Indie Teepee event. Even if I like all 5 looks that might be my personal favourite out of them πŸ˜‰

My 5th and last look is some more native and maybe gypsy looking. The idea came out of some pictures I saw of american native fashion trends. The denim shorties for this style come from GizzA. The “Loose Denim Short” was a perfect start for the idea I wanted to go for. With the lightly dirty looking fabric and the ripped trims it was just perfect to add a more simple, and light top. The “Julia” top from Asteria perfectly went with the shorts and kinda put them more in the focus. The cool necklace was one of the first original mesh releases from PurpleMoon and the incredible hat and back bag again came from [sys].

It was great fun to explore and try different things for this special spread of denim shorties and I have to admit, I found some goodies in my inventory, which I already forgot that I have them πŸ˜‰

A workers day with Neurolab Inc. ;)

As I got this cool, new mesh baggy pants from Neurolab Inc.,Β  I thought about what I can do to let them shine in pictures as they earn it πŸ˜‰

After all the glamour and high fashion I thought I can try something different and make the “MESH Baggy Pants” for woman in camo and uni color, center of my post πŸ™‚

So I thought of a ‘workers day’ :). As I can not go only with the great “MESH Baggy Pants camo” in white I had to add at least a white tank top, for this post it was one from Maitreya.

To complete the ‘working girl’ look I got me some welding goggles and a bit dirt in form of a mud tattoo πŸ™‚

Shoes… have to match that look as well and none of my pumps worked*grins* so I decided to go with ‘dockers’ style shoes without any heels :p.

The “MESH” Baggy Pants” for females are available in different colors and fabrics. For my post I was wearing the white version of the camo style, but even the camo you can purchase in different colors…

If you take a closer look, you will see how detailed this pants are made. The pockets, as well on the back, look so realistic and with the ‘mesh’ feature even the knee part looks so cool.

As mentioned before if you are not the camo fabric type you can make your choice from all the awesome uni colors that you will find at the Neurolab Inc. Mainstore as well. The pants come in 2 sizes as well to make them fit best to your shape.

Casual City Chick by Nemesis!!!

Today I have a new label on my blog. Nemesis – a beautiful casual and chick label owned by Calypso Clip. For today I combined different parts to a neat city fashion outfit.

Lets start with the top. the “Illegal Tank” here in black is a perfect basic for that sexy outfit. It has a deep neckline and it is hold by a slim line in the back of the neck. What caught my eye was the decoration on the upper back that goes from the neck to the beginning of the tops fabric. 5 big rings that hold the top in place in the back..simply wonderful and a neat little detail that makes a top like this to something special. That Nemesis has defiantly an eye for the detail you also can see at the awesome high waist pants called “Robot High Waisted Shorts”. The buttons are attached with tiny prims on a spot that you can imagine the shadow of the buttons on the pants itself as the shadow is painted to the layer of the pants… another detail that shows how much Calypso Clip counts on realistic details. Perfectly matching in color and style are the “Wrath Bangles” in gold. All 2 parts of the outfit you will find in more colors than just the ones that I have shows in this blog πŸ˜‰ If you are curious wich ones…make your way to the Nemesis Mainstore and take a look for yourself you will see it is worth it πŸ˜‰ Also you will find the new Nemesis Collection called “Casino”… so don’t wait too long πŸ˜‰

Colorful and wild – Springtime at Kunglers!

The “Francesca Blouse” made by Kungler gives you a great summer feeling! A tank top made blouse in amazing prints!

Animal and flower prints make this tight tank top to an eyecatcher. Anyways which version you will always turn heads with that conspicuous textures. If you take a closer look it looks like you wear a color matching bra under a sweet textured corsage.

A great addition to complete the summer look is the “Boyfriend’s shorts” also made by Kungler. A short and wide jeans that you can wear with an attached prim belt or without πŸ™‚

All of the top version have a cute attached ribbon in the back that looks very sweet and you are tempted to pull on one end to see what will fall down πŸ˜‰

To see all the other great new designs of Kungler you just have to make your way to Kungler’s Mainstore and you will see that they not only do great casuals πŸ˜‰
