Yasum+LeeZu 001

Today again it was one on of the days where I did not plan to style something special… it just had happened during I sorted my ineventory ;).

Not too long ago I had a little chit chat with Azlyn Vaher, owner and designer of Yasum. I got her amazing
“Face Armor” mask, that she put in the Gacha Fair and I was lucky to pull the rare one while I was gambling at those gatchas. I had no special idea for that mask in that moment and sometimes things even get better when they lay around for a while, just like cheese or a good red wine πŸ˜‰ . Usually I do not sort those “I do not know yet” items in my inventory right away, I just leave them be where they are so every time when I open my inventory, I stumble over them and so, I keep them in mind better, than when I sort them in where they belong to.

Yasum+LeeZu 003

I put on that mask and while was wearing it, I kept sorting all the amazing stuffs I got and those I already blogged and was too lazy to sort in yet. That brought me to the amazing, sweet “Kitty Skirt” as well from Yasum. This short dress really is a cute base for a smart styling. I chose the black version with the light red accents and the red tartan pocket in the front. The “Kitty Skirt”Β  is top less so it starts right under the chest, so IΒ  had to find a top for it.

I was trying different kinds and in the end my decision fell on the “Lourdes” top from LeeZu. It is not a very new item of LeeZu but one that I really like and already was wearing a few times in all of its colors. The “Lourdes” top was perfect with the huge ruffles over the chest and the one line that leads up to a beautiful neck collar wich is ornaments with little flowers. The short dress and the ruffled top reminded me on my youth and the punky styles I loved so much, so decided to go towards that direction. With some Vivienne Westwood in my mind because of the tartan pattern I wanted to add some leggings since she is really well known for all her socks and leggings stuff and that she combines different fabrics that do not get together on the first view. First I tried some socks and ripped stockings but that became way to trashy for that what I wanted to go for. I tried more the cute side of tights and socks but that as well was not that what I was looking for. Again the choice fell on one of my long time favourites from LeeZu, the “Cat Tights”.

Yasum+LeeZu 005

To add a bit more I put the “Knee socks” with the little holes over the tights. To not go towards the cute look too much I added the “Triumph” boots made by [GOS]. The heavy boots gave a good contra to the sweet ruffles of the “Lourdes” top. The amazing tattoo comes from White Widow. The “Mission” tattoo has 2 options one low and one normal. I decided to go with the normal one as I remembered some cool bangles from Xplosion I got long ago. The red leather together with the silver metals and that 80s look of them, just perfect matched the look. The huge tunnels and the piercings for the ears, are part of the mesh ears from Mandala. With the HUD that comes with them yo can recolor the tubes, metals and gems to match your outfit.

Yasum+LeeZu 004

Now the question came towards a difficult point again… wich hair to choose? I went through my hair folder, wich is not that small. One after another and none really wanted to match. The I came across a folder from KMADD. I am not quite sure where that was from, but I remember it was a special event. In that folder was a male shape and some other things and the “Seneca” hairstyle. Probably it was meant for a male avatar but if you know me for a while you know, I do not care about that facts too much, I just wear what I like πŸ˜‰

A last look into the mirror… perfect… I feel like years ago again πŸ™‚

The Runway Perfect Hunt #4 – Part 1

TRPH #2 001

The Runway Perfect Hunt goes in it’s 4th round :). Morgane Batista again made it, to get amazing designers to participate in one of the most famous hunts on the grid. Even if the title says “The hunt with models in mind” does not mean this hunt is limited to models only. All the amazing and versatile designs are amazing additions to everybody’s wardrobe, even the males will find some amazing hunt prizes in some locations πŸ˜‰ This year the hunt is not a total freebie hunt, each hunt item costs $5 Linden. With a total of 50 shops you reach a maximum of $250 Linden, what is a great amount for so many amazing quality designs!

For today I would like to spotlight the first 4 stores with a mix & match styling.

First store would be *PosESioN*, store #19. Dahriel made a little set of 5 poses called “Andromeda”, made for females only. Maybe the brave guys wanna give it a try as well πŸ˜‰

The outfit comes from location #28, Svart. Angexx Quandry created one male and one female outfit. Certainly I used the female one called “Ren”. Shorts and top are mesh made and come in various sizes to make sure that it fits all kind of avatars.

The super cool hat comes from Xen’s Hats. A blue Feodora style looking hat with an amazing texture, that really gives the hat a realistic fabric.

The amazing lips gloss was provided by [mock]. The “Mariellis Lip Shine” comes in 3 different colors and each has 3 different versions.

To complete my styling I added the “Cubism” glasses from epoque because they underlined the retro feeling, that came with the outfit and the hat,Β  in such an amazing way. The jewelry is one of my long times favourites from Mandala called “Sinra”.

The Runway Perfect Hunt will last until the 30th of May so do not hesitate too long to grab your hunt prizes πŸ˜‰

“Wicca’s Raven”

Kyra Camel, owner and designer of Baboom and as well a wonderful friend, gave me a great honor, with dedicating am incredible gown to me. The “Wicca’s Raven” dress is an amazing not symmetric outfit with just one arm and one leg covered. The bodice is made of stunning lace and all the feathers really give the whole creation a wonderful elegant touch with the little artistic edge I love so much πŸ™‚ I thought a long time about something special, that I could add to this post and as I was looking again and again on the pictures the raven poem of Edgar Allan Poe, one of my favourite writers. came to my mind πŸ™‚

The Raven

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`’Tis some visitor,’ I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door –
Only this, and nothing more.’

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; – vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow – sorrow for the lost Lenore –
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels named Lenore –
Nameless here for evermore.

And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me – filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
`’Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door –
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door; –
This it is, and nothing more,’

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
`Sir,’ said I, `or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you’ – here I opened wide the door; –
Darkness there, and nothing more.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the darkness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, `Lenore!’
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, `Lenore!’
Merely this and nothing more.

Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.
`Surely,’ said I, `surely that is something at my window lattice;
Let me see then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore –
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore; –
‘Tis the wind and nothing more!’

Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore.
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door –
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door –
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
`Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,’ I said, `art sure no craven.
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the nightly shore –
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night’s Plutonian shore!’
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’

Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,
Though its answer little meaning – little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being
Ever yet was blessed with seeing bird above his chamber door –
Bird or beast above the sculptured bust above his chamber door,
With such name as `Nevermore.’

But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only,
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered – not a feather then he fluttered –
Till I scarcely more than muttered `Other friends have flown before –
On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before.’
Then the bird said, `Nevermore.’

Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,
`Doubtless,’ said I, `what it utters is its only stock and store,
Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful disaster
Followed fast and followed faster till his songs one burden bore –
Till the dirges of his hope that melancholy burden bore
Of “Never-nevermore.”‘

But the raven still beguiling all my sad soul into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird and bust and door;
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore –
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt, and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking `Nevermore.’

This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom’s core;
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion’s velvet lining that the lamp-light gloated o’er,
But whose velvet violet lining with the lamp-light gloating o’er,
She shall press, ah, nevermore!

Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor.
`Wretch,’ I cried, `thy God hath lent thee – by these angels he has sent thee
Respite – respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore!
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe, and forget this lost Lenore!’
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’

`Prophet!’ said I, `thing of evil! – prophet still, if bird or devil! –
Whether tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted –
On this home by horror haunted – tell me truly, I implore –
Is there – is there balm in Gilead? – tell me – tell me, I implore!’
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’

`Prophet!’ said I, `thing of evil! – prophet still, if bird or devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us – by that God we both adore –
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels named Lenore –
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden, whom the angels named Lenore?’
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’

`Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!’ I shrieked upstarting –
`Get thee back into the tempest and the Night’s Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken! – quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!’
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’

And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon’s that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o’er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted – nevermore!

Wicca’s Wardrobe: Scary Story

A pretty woman was serving a life sentence in prison for murder. Angry and resentful about her situation, she decided that she couldn’t spend her life in prison. She began plotting ways to escape from the jail.

She became good friends with one of the prison caretakers. His job was to bury any prisoners who died, in a graveyard just outside the prison walls. Whenever a prisoner died, the caretaker rang a bell, which was heard by all of the prison inmates. The caretaker then got the body and put it in a casket. Next, he entered his office to fill out the death certificate before returning to the casket to nail the lid shut. Finally, he put the casket on a wagon to take it to the graveyard and bury it.

Knowing this routine, the woman devised an escape plan and shared it with the caretaker. The next time the bell rang, the woman would leave her cell and sneak into the dark room where the coffins were kept.

She would slip into the coffin with the dead body while the caretaker was filling out the death certificate. When the caretaker returned, he would nail the lid shut and take the coffin outside the prison with the woman in the coffin along with the dead body. He would then bury the coffin.

The woman knew there would be enough air for her to breathe until later in the evening when the caretaker would return to the graveyard under cover of darkness, dig up the coffin, and set her free.

The caretaker was reluctant to go along with this plan, but since he and the woman had become good friends over the years, he agreed to do it. The woman waited several weeks for one of the other prison inmates to die.

One night, she was asleep in her cell when she heard the death bell ringing. She got up, picked the lock of her cell, and slowly walked down the hallway. She was nearly caught a couple of times. Her heart was beating fast.

She opened the door to the darkened room where the coffins were kept. Quietly in the dark, she found the coffin that contained the dead body, carefully climbed into it and pulled the lid shut to wait for the caretaker to come and nail the lid down.

Soon she heard footsteps and the pounding of the hammer and nails. Even though she was very uncomfortable in the coffin with the dead body beneath her, she knew that with each nail she was one step closer to freedom.

The coffin was lifted onto the wagon and taken outside to the graveyard. She could feel the coffin being lowered into the ground. She didn’t make a sound as the coffin hit the bottom of the grave with a thud.

Finally she heard the dirt dropping onto the top of the wooden coffin, and she knew that it was only a matter of time until she would be free at last. After several minutes of absolute silence, she began to chuckle quietly to herself.

Feeling curious, she decided to light a match to find out the identity of the dead prisoner beside her. To her horror, she discovered that she was lying on top of the dead caretaker.
