“Leaves of Life”- Latest News by Mea Culpa!

Yes, Mea Culpa is now one year on the grid and still Tatanka Kaligawa surprises us with new and incredible awesome designs 😉 On of the latest releases is called “Leaves of Life”. A wonderful elegant outfit hat comes with the gorgeous hat with that long tentacles on top 🙂 The gown itself, is a firework of textures. The skirt falls down in 2 parts and give an interesting and stunning view from the back. The 2 back attachments that really love like big petals or leafs add a  very interesting and for sure head turning touch. The prim parts are so amazingly textured, what again shows the wonderful skills of Tatanka Kaligawa, if it comes to texturing and designing 🙂 The layers match perfectly to the prims and some stunning “holes” let peek through very sexy a bit of skin 😉 The mixture of all the blue, green, teal and gold makes this gown as well to a perfect design for the actual season 😉

If you make your way to the Mea Culpa Mainstore do not forget to add the place to your pics section of your profile to get the beautiful anniversary gown “Sugar Candy”, that Tatanka Kaligawa made for the first birthday of Mea Culpa as a gift and thank you for all his customers 🙂

“Street Style” news at *X*plosion!!!

Yesterday I got the amazing new releases of *X*plosion. Kaliha Noel, a very old time friend of mine again showed her skills if it comes to casual urban street wear. I rarely saw such great and detailed complete outfits that are so sexy and amazing. Everything seems to be right from head to toe! The “Street Style” outfit can be purchased in different color combinations and I decided for this post to go with brown and black. The bra comes in black or white with each color combination as far as I saw and you have the possibility to wear it as shirt or under shirt layer. For the shirt itself you have all 3 layers to choose from. The gloves layer is decorated with 2 prims each arm what gives an awesome realistic look for the wool fabric. For the jeans you have 3 versions each pack with different looks as well as the 2 pants sleeve prims.

As I said perfectly styled from head to toe… the “Street Style” shoes are perfectly matching with the whole outfit. for this post I used the brown version but also other colors are available if you take a look at the *X*plosion Mainstore. The shoes pack contains a lot of different options and styles as well… for the brown ones you can decide between brown/black, brown/blue, or brown/brown and as well you can wear it with socks, without and with the option that has the jeans prims added as well! That’s why you will find 4 different alpha layers in the whole package.

For me the “Street Style” outfit with its shoes is a definitely everyday wearable outfit! If you wanna see all the different color versions make your way to the *X*plosion Mainstore and I am sure that you find yours 😉 and if you are already there you can take a look at all the other awesome outfits also… even the males 😉 Because this awesome outfit has, like so many others from *X*plosion, a male version as well 🙂

Walk like an Egyptian with Finesmith Designs!

One set of Finesmith Designs caught me for longer and I had something in mind about styling that I did not find all the time. I wanted to do something special for the “Egyptian” set and lately I came across something I really liked 😉

The “Egyption” set it self contains The fabulous headpiece, the skirt with the long train, nipple shields, necklace, earrings and the incredible eye ornament. With all this parts the “Egyptians set is not only a jewelry set, it is a full outfit where you just have to add hair and shoes and a skin of your likings, for sure you can wear this with your usual skin as well I just was tempted with this golden one I found in a sale at VUI. The hair comes from Purplemoon including the hair base and it is called “Cat” in golden wheat. I chose some golden boots for it that anyways not show in this pics, so anyways :p. The “Egyptian” for me is the total proove of how creative and genius yula Finesmith is. Her endless heart and soul of creativity never will be empty and I am sure she writes history in the SL fashion world with her amazing creations… I saw my new Inspiration set a week ago even longer, it is just a secret till the official release… but I can tell you I never ever before saw jewelry thats so me! Yula puts in so much time, soul, love and effort in this inspiration sets and the turn out so amazing and unique! You really should try the Finesmith Inspirations Muse castings and if it is only to work close with one of the most amazing people in Second Life – yulaFinesmith ! For the perfect posing of the “Egyptian” set I used poses from Body Talking made by Arisia Ashmoot out of the “Mr Egypt” set that you as well can use for females 🙂

You will find that dress at the “Get your shopping card” board including a 10% discount card for another purchase.

But now let’s have a closer look on the dress I stole out of his laboratory to give you a sneak preview…

This dress is such a sweet idea to celebrate the first birthday of Mea Culpa. The short dress is a shows off very sexy the long legs and the texture of the clothing layers have an awesome shine. It is like you can feel the sun reflecting on each part of the dress. The shoulder prims add a light playful touch and the ornament on the chest make a lovely highlight. The neck collar as well is made as an attached prim. For me the hat is a total eye catcher. It looks like a neat umbrella that is directly worn on the head and so the name of the dress that I could see on a little piece of paper totally first for this design. “Sugar CandyMeaCulpas first anniversary dress is named and I am sure you will not miss it to get your “Sugar Candy” on Thursday the 21st at the Mea Culpa Mainstore!!!

Mayden Ushimawa for “Claim the Fame” – Week 2 – Formal

For the first week of Claim the Fame the designers had to create a formal attire for male and female and make a description that was read during the TV Show on Metaverse TV. (

All designs of the Claim the Fame Shows are available at the KULT District (for surl please click here)

Mayden Ushimawa:”To make the “Monica” dress I was inspired by a memorable evening of spring. The dominant color is white, this is a pure color and different from the usual formal dress. Lace makes the dress most elegant. The collar with plumes and the flexi skirt gives movement to the dress.

For the “Brian” outfit I took inspiration from the very beautiful RL models, with a perfect body and a face to be kissed all over. For this reason I created this outfit. It gives the impression of a man who has just escaped from a crowd of girls, a bit messy and not even having the time to wear his jacket.”

Marita Overland for “Claim the Fame” – Week 2 – Formal

For the first week of Claim the Fame the designers had to create a formal attire for male and female and make a description that was read during the TV Show on Metaverse TV. (

All designs of the Claim the Fame Shows are available at the KULT District (for surl please click here)

Marita Overland:”Wicca wears a lovely white gown consisting of a scuplted top and half skirt.  You can’t help but notice the stylish silver armor on the shoulders and waist along with a structured bow in the back.  As if the skirt wasn’t elegant enough, it glitters even more with a second layer of fabric.  The shoes are also included in this romantic, yet edgy, ensemble.

Harsch is wearing the “Romeo” version of the formal wear. A miliary style jacket and pants, in white and gray, are a wonderful compliment to his “Juliet”.  The jacket is adorned with a high collar, cuffs, armored shoulders and belt.  The boots are also included with the outfit you see here.  Seemingly for seeing his own fate, the belt includes the poison he will take his own life with and the dagger Juliet will use to perish herself. True love never looked so stylish.”
