Thetra Blackheart for “Claim the Fame”: Week 3 – Darkness

For the second week of Claim the Fame the designers had to create a dark attire for male and female and make a description that was read during the TV Show on Metaverse TV. (http://metaversetv.com/blog/2011/04/claim-the-fame-3/)

All designs of the Claim the Fame Shows are available at the KULT District (for surl please click here)

Thetra Blackheart:” Hail to the queen of darkness when she wears the Nimue!  Intricate  lines, thick velvets, lace and all the  fine details make this dress of royalty among the damned.  The lining of this gorgeous outfit is of fine silk.  Embroidered detail along the outfit makes for  a view  that keeps giving.  The bustle accentuates the womans shape and the low-cut bodice entices the onlooker to gaze and become entranced while willingly fall victim to her every whim.

Lestat will allure anyone to get close and personal.  Dark or not the admirer will not be able to resist the look this outfit possesses.  The finesse, and elegance is balanced with mystery and danger.  The mix of modern goth, old renaissance and a twist of Victorian makes wearing the Lestat an enigma around others. Getting close and personal to the man wearing this is worth  the price to pay.

Marita Overland:”This outfit ensemble is entitled “Underworld” by Runway Couture. Taking a note from the leading lady from the film,Wicca is wearing the female slayer outfit. She is ready to kick some butt in her leather body suit adorned with gold inlay, rubies and chains. The near knee-length boots are matching this ensemble  in black leather and gold inlay and rubies. The short mini skirt with gold chevrons, rubies and chains, are sure to catch that beast off his guard as she slays him with her storm of fire balls.

Harsch  is the target on the slayer’s radar, in his large chest armor and tentacles adorned with gold and leather. His belt sits atop his hybrid bottom half with rubies and gold chain and male silks, matching his arm braces. His claws are long and yellow on both his hands and feet. He wears a face mask. also adorned with matching accents. Even with all his armor he is no match for Wicca Slayer !”

Mayden Ushimawa for “Claim the Fame” – Week 2 – Formal

Mayden Ushimawa:”To make the “Monica” dress I was inspired by a memorable evening of spring. The dominant color is white, this is a pure color and different from the usual formal dress. Lace makes the dress most elegant. The collar with plumes and the flexi skirt gives movement to the dress.

For the “Brian” outfit I took inspiration from the very beautiful RL models, with a perfect body and a face to be kissed all over. For this reason I created this outfit. It gives the impression of a man who has just escaped from a crowd of girls, a bit messy and not even having the time to wear his jacket.”

Marita Overland:”Wicca wears a lovely white gown consisting of a scuplted top and half skirt.  You can’t help but notice the stylish silver armor on the shoulders and waist along with a structured bow in the back.  As if the skirt wasn’t elegant enough, it glitters even more with a second layer of fabric.  The shoes are also included in this romantic, yet edgy, ensemble.

Harsch is wearing the “Romeo” version of the formal wear. A miliary style jacket and pants, in white and gray, are a wonderful compliment to his “Juliet”.  The jacket is adorned with a high collar, cuffs, armored shoulders and belt.  The boots are also included with the outfit you see here.  Seemingly for seeing his own fate, the belt includes the poison he will take his own life with and the dagger Juliet will use to perish herself. True love never looked so stylish.”

Lexi Vargas for “Claim the Fame” – Week 2 – Formal

For the first week of Claim the Fame the designers had to create a formal attire for male and female and make a description that was read during the TV Show on Metaverse TV. (http://metaversetv.com/blog/2011/04/claim-the-fame-2/)

Lexi Vargas, designer of  Brocade Tiger, brought a neat firework of amazing textures with the “clockwork” couple outfit that was not just formal in my view 😉 As well I saw a light steampunk touch in that as well what really touched my soul 😉

Lexi Vargas:”‘Lady Clockwork’, a striking formal gown in the Steampunk tradition. A three-layered skirt gives depth with two layers of striped fabric topped with a draped and partially jeweled top layer in the signature clock print fabric. The fitted, square necked bodice is a combination of the striped and print fabrics and the same theme carries into the beautifully shaped and traditionally fitted sleeves embellished with puffs at shoulder, elbow and wrist. The whole ensemble is drawn together by a semi opaque bow and drape effect that makes a dramatic silk waterfall down one side of the gown. Sure to be an eyecatcher at any formal event where Steampunk/Victorian dress is required.

The male model strikes a dashing note in ‘Lord Gear’, a formal outfit that has its roots steeped in Steampunk tradition. There is much attention to detail in this suit. A duel fabric jacket of chocolate leather and striped fabric skims the shoulder line, with the same effect carried into the pants. These clever styling details make for a simply stunning outfit. The jacket lapels and collar are decorated with gears and cogs and the pants with buckles and straps. A cream satin edged shirt with frilled jabot collar and brooch completes the look. This outfit could be worn at any suitable formal occasion enabling the wearer to stand out from the crowd and it would certainly delight any Steampunk gentleman worth his cogs.”

Inga Wind, Designer of Inga Wind Designs, started with “Penelope” and “Bartelby”, a wonderful details and lovely looking couple outfit.

Inga Wind:”Penelope” is an amazing blue formal dress. The basic is made in a non symmetrical manner that makes a bare right shoulder while the left shoulder is decorated with an amazing detailed sculpted prim. The top layer has a very elegant texture that is broken by an awesome lace stripe that runs diagonal from the right upper to the left hip.
The skirt as well continues the non symmetric look. On the left side it goes further down with a wonderful ornamented sheer texture that is framed by an opaque looking satin border and the left is lightly shorter.
Gloves, shoes and the lovely headpiece come with the whole outfit so you have no trouble to match the right color and look.

“Bartelby” was made to match “Penelope” perfectly. The black basic makes a wonderful tailcoat with amazing flexible prims in the back, where the seams carry the same texture that you already saw on “Penelope” as well the little neat bow tie. The white shirt shows off folds and shadows in a very realistic way. Collar, bow tie, cuffs and Sleeves are made of sculpted prims what ad as well a very realistic touch. The black pants complete the elegant male look and the sash round the waist again shows off the amazing blue texture decorated with filigree ornaments and buttons.
“Penelope” & “Bartelby” are the perfect couple for the perfect couple :)”

DoJo and Body Talking for the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser Project!

Again I found 2 amazing designers that help with their amazing creations for the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser (http://slurl.com/secondlife/World%20of%20Beauty/205/147/1003): DoJo, paper couture made by Sanders Beaumont and Body Talking with the great poses from Arisia Ashmoot!

Lets start with the amazing “Hanami” outfit. In the colors black, red and white this neat dress is a wonderful contribution to such a great charity event! A mixture of girlie look of the dress and as well a little urban look with the leggings that made me fall in love with.

The dress has a basic white texture with amazing and modern black ornaments. The red accents of the seams and as well the wonderful big ribbon in the back, that gives for me a wonderful transition to the asian look. Like the big ribbons in the back of the kimonos 🙂 The black leggings have a few transparent parts and the whole pants are a firework of a texture… I really fell in love with! At the ankles you can see 2 little prims that lead to the amazing shoes, that as well are part of the outfit.

Wonderful red, grey and black peeptoes ankle boots… simply amazing and you are not in trouble to find matching shoes 😉 The toes are amazing realistic and the textures of the shoes it self fit perfect to the rest of the outfit. Also part of the “Hanami” outfit are the sweet sticks that you can see at the back of the head in black and red. Over all a must have for each fashionistas wardrobe and for a very good cause as well!!! So do not think about too long this 250L$ are more than worth it and you can help with!!!

I am very happy that I can show you as well, that Body Talking as well joined the helping hands! Arisia Ashmoot a wonderful person with a big heart (yes sissy, that I had to say 😉 contributed an amazing group pose to the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser (http://slurl.com/secondlife/World%20of%20Beauty/205/147/1003) project…

(Picture provided by Body Talking)

“Girls Only” the perfect pose for some friends that wanna show that they have fun 😉 So girls who wanna have fun go and get the “Girls Only” pose of body talking and help as well with the purchase of this amazing pose that Arisia Ashmoot created. No bad body angles, now weird stretching of parts of the body and no limbs that look like broken. This pose again shows the high standard that Body Talking has for their poses. To get it just make your way to the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser Donation (http://slurl.com/secondlife/World%20of%20Beauty/205/147/1003) sim and search for a pose stand high up in the air close to one of the corners 😉
