Wicca’s Wardrobe: LOTD 06/06/2012 – Rainbow

Today I would like to show you one of my styling ideas I had for the now finished LeeZu contest. One of the ‘Color me This’ contest themes was called ‘Rainbow’ and you had to mix and match as much colors as possible and still present a good look.

I really wanted to showcase it in a special way. More in an artsy way than I usually do my own pics. I was thinking for a longer time for the right photographer as suddenly an old friend came to my mind. The wonderful GM Nikolaidis, owner and creator of Fluke poses. I admired his graphic work for longer by watching his flickr and from past time shoots he did of me for designers. I had no clue he does clients work as well! After I found that out I ran into his IM asking him if he would do the pictures for me LeeZu rainbow style and he agreed!!!

So all the wonderful pictures of this post are made by GM Nikolaidis 🙂 Now lets take a closer look of the style it self. I tried to combine as much colors by using LeeZu items and outfits only.

To have a base to work from I started with the dress. The “Catch Lily” dress is a longtime favourite of mine and so I began with taking 2 different colors for top and skirt of the “Catch Lily” dress – blue for the skirt and beige for the top. To add some more colors, I took the “Cat Tights”in yellow and put the “Anna” stockings in spring to put them over the tights. For the shoes I decided to go with the “Street Blues Boots” in mixed red and for the hat I used the “Natty Scarf Pin” as well from LeeZu. Just a few items  are non LeeZu items and I will credit them in the style card at the end 😉

I would like to thank GM Nikolaidis for his amazing pictures… I never dreamed about such pics ;). To see all the wonderful LeeZu creations you best take a look at the LeeZu Mainstore and if you catch the right time maybe I meet you there while my store shift 😉

And she did it again!!! LeeZu released another wonderful mesh item for her collection. The “Scarf Poncho” is the newest object of desire for all LeeZu lovers.. like me *grins*

The new poncho is made with the mesh technique, that means you must have a SL viewer that is able to handle mesh, otherwise you will not see it at all :p. The “Scarf Poncho” comes in many different versions, colors and patterns. For each color and pattern you have 3 different versions to wear it – sheer, lace and opaque) and as well 5 different sizes (S up to XXL) to make sure, it fits for your shape. Silken Moon for a good Cause!

Till the 10th of May a wonderful charity event is running, called “Fencheltee Reggae Club for African Childs” – yes I already wrote about that before 😉 (http://wiccamerlin.wordpress.com/2012/04/30/unicef-event-to-help-african-children/).

Mailica Python, owner and designer of Silken Moon made a wonderful outfit for this charity event. The “Fenchelteepunk” dress can be worn in many different stlyes. The dress and the overknees are fully mesh, lay dreamy on the avatar and move wonderful. The print is modern and fresh and should not miss in a fashionistas wardrobe. For the bangles I chose some from Ticky Tacky and the wonderful jewelry is one of the Finesmith OGlam Specials called “Foliole”. The skin as well comes off the house of Silken Moon.’Rock’ is one of the “Rookie” skin line in the fair tone, that I use in general as m main skin.

So if you wanna have that awesome “Fenchelteepunk Dress” hurry up and make your way to the Charity Event 😉

It is this that inspired me to create the Sarame dress after all every man, woman and child is beautiful and deserving of joy and love, therefor I wanted the dress to be graceful in its design, just like the peacock. Maniera Casting: YAY! I made it :)

Last Week I had the pleasure to b allowed to come to the live casting of Maniera. Maniera was a dream for me for a long time and I was very happy, that I made it through the first round and was invited to the live castings.

Maniera always stood for some extraordinary for me. The magazine they do, always was made in high quality and the models who are working there are all wonderful girls and guys with a great sense of fashion and style.

The live casting had a very cool theme and it was told in a little story so that I would like to just steal the words off the NC I got from Katherine Comet (Yes, I asked her and I may use them she said. Thanks for that Kat 😉 )

“Theme:

Your talent agent has gotten you an audition to be a supporting role in a Jungle Safari Thriller movie as the sidekick assistant to the leading actor who is a Detective trying to solve the case of a missing person.  You’ve been told you would be carrying all of the detective’s paraphernalia but you have to look good doing it.  You really want to knock their socks off with your knowledge and incredible ability to look like you’ve “been there, done that.”  Your audition will take place on location, IN THE JUNGLE, so you have to be prepared.

You know you have to be practical; the bugs and animals are out in full force but have been told you may not use any prim material which covers your face!  You MUST get this job as your career depends on it.

How would you dress and be prepared for the perils of jungle life, but still look the part of the supporting role in this major movie production?

You’ve been given the storyline and requirements; now roll with it, have fun and good luck!”

The challenge it self was great fun for me. I tried to slip into that role and thought about it very seriously.. about not having high heels walking through a jungle and carry stuff around, about all the bugs and little animals that would eat me up if my clothing would be too short and show too much skin… all that stuff. And while I was searching through my inventory all that old movies like Indiana Jones, Crocodile Dundee, The Mummy and many more came into my mind and slowly a look was born. Thanks to all of the judges that made one of my dreams come true and took me to Maniera as a proud Maniera Model 🙂

[AD] Creations & Urban Lutz for The Ashraya Project

I am very happy that I can show you 2 more designs that will be part of the Ashraya ProjectAliza Karu, owner and designer of [AD] Creations, created a wonderful black and white dress with some cute glasses. The “Andrew female” outfit really is something special. The skirt is made with the new mesh technique, the rest of the prims, like the belt, the glasses, the lace and the jacket collar, you can edit like usual prims or sculpties. The ribbons and the lace part beneath the skirt, give the whole outfit a playful dolly touch. The cool unsymmetrical gloves again show the genius ideas of Aliza Karu, who always for me was one of the designers that created outfits and items out of the box and beside the usual mainstream 😉

The hair as well is a contribution to the Ashraya Project. It comes off the house of Urban LutzTayler Wassep made this amazing “India” hair as her part for the great charity event of Anna Sapphire. The hair has some wonderful decorations with the little golden and red golden parts on the forehead and the whole style looks like a ponytail in the back.

The LM for the Ashraya Project will be posted as soon as I can get a hand on it 🙂 But I really like it to show you some of the great items before hand so you can maybe make your own personal shopping list already 😉
