MVW 2012: Evening Gown for Miss Germany 2012 by PurpleMoon & Finesmith

As I said in one of my last posts, PurpleMoon did not have only one gown that made the Top 12 of this year Miss Virtual World Challenge. In complete 4 of Poulet Koenkamp’s gowns made it into the Top 12 this year and the evening gown of Miss Germany 2012 is number 3 on my blog for now… be sure number 4 will follow as well 😉 For me it is a very special gown as Falbala Fairey, who carries the title of Miss Germany 2012 is a very special person to me, she is my little sister and I am feeling very honored to showcase the gown of PurpleMoon that was made for her, as well the awesome jewelry yula Finesmith did for her. For gown and jewelry you can see how close designers are working together to create the MVW dresses. Poulet did this amazing gown, covering the colors of the german flag, which are black, red and gold, in an amazing way. The tight gown accents the well-shaped body perfectly and the extraordinary prims give some awesome highlights. again we can see Poulet’s love for th detail on the “Falbala” gown. The huge shoulder prim on the right shoulder is made with the red outside and a gold inside, as well the upper parts of the gloves have this awesome little feature. Half of the chest part glitters in gold and the other is covered by the delicate red satin texture. I totally love that none symmetric style. Now for the jewelry… yula Finesmith did an extraordinary job this year for all the MVW candidates that stormed her doors… if I look over all the gowns and jewelry I got, it seems she was the most busy designer for jewelry this year 😉 and that for a reason… she just is amazing, a wonderful person to work with and she is great in making dreams come true 😉 The “Falbala” set is an incredible masterpiece of art. The filigree earrings, the delicate necklace that goes down in the back and decorates the deep back neckline of the “Falbala” gown… simply amazing. Then the little orchid shaped flowers at the hips that carry those long and thin lines that go to the upper right and the repeat of this orchid shape for the bracelet… it just caught my heart totally! MVW 2012: Evening Gown for Miss Costa Rica 2012 by Son!a & Finesmith

The evening gown for Miss Costa Rica 2012, Laetitia Vella,  was handcrafted by Sonia28 Jie, owner and designer of the very elegant and sophisticated brand Son!a. Son!a is one of the well-known, established luxury brands in Second Life for gowns. As you can see on this wonderful design of the “Laetitia Dress”, the textures are very high-class and totally awesome made by Sonia. All the little fans are perfectly highlighted and the shadows are carefully set to give the full view of the skills Sonia has if it comes to textures and design. If you make your way to the Son!a Mainstore you can see that she made this wonderful dress in 5 more beautiful colors, so you can choose your favourite for yourself ;). The dress is shoulder free what gives a lot of room for the awesome jewelry made by Finesmith. MVW 2012: National Gown for Miss South Korea 2012 by PurpleMoon

PurpleMoon made not just of the gowns, that made it into the Top 12 of this years Miss Virtual World Challenge finalists. The national gown of Miss South Korea, Caoimhe Lionheard was another one :). This amazing “Sa-rang” gown has a very filigree and delicate texture that is perfectly brought on that amazing sculpted skirt. The trees are a typical asian ornament that we all know from a lot of asian pictures, asia porcelain and as well room dividers and other furniture. The color underlines the asia theme in a wonderful way. The huge black ribbon reminds me of the big ribbons I saw a lot of times at the back of kimonos as well, but it also adds a wonderful modern touch. The tassel that goes down from that ribbon again shows the amazing eye for the detail Poulet Koenkamp has if it comes to ideas and design. If you take a look at the amazing hair, it was as well made by PurpleMoon and is part of that gorgeous gown. The hair is a firework of prims and textures and a piece of art itself. The mixture of hair, jewelry and ornaments just gives an imagination how long Poulet must have sat on this awesome ensemble, which now is available at the PurpleMoon Mainstore.

MVW 2012: National Gown for Miss Russia 2012 by PurpleMoon & Finesmith

The wonderful national gown for Miss Russia 2012 was made by Poulet Koenkamp, owner and creative designer of PurpleMoon. She made a wonderful interpretation of the russian traditional style for Miss Rusalka Callisto, who represented Russia in the Miss Virtual World competition for 2012 and in the end made the 3rd runner up. The textures are fantastic and you can see the incredible skills of Poulet, if you take a closer look on the fabrics. The huge headpiece as well is part of the “Catherine” gown. The wonderful ensemble is now available at the PurpleMoon Mainstore. For the jewelry Rusalka chose different already existing parts from Finesmith like the earrings and ring of the Rhonda set, the “Capri Collar” or the “Golden Nails”. As an extra special eye catcher, yula Finesmith designed a wonderful brooch to match this awesome outfit and the theme. The “Fabrege” brooch is an amazing and perfect decoration for this wonderful creation and it can found in a few more color combinations at the Finesmith Mainstore.

MVW 2012: Evening Gown for Miss South Korea 2012 by Angel Dessous

The wonderful evening gown for Miss South Korea 2012 was made by Angel Dessous. “Seoul” is an awesome gown, that stands out in prim work and design. Nando Korobase tailored this awesome dress for Miss Caoimhe Lionheart for this years MVW challenge. The skirt itself is a masterpiece with the long train in the back and the short front. The ruffles and folds are made with such a love for the detail that you only can imagine how long Nando must have sit there and created them. His great skills for the texturing you can see as well if you look more and more up to the bodice. First the waistpart comes in the same basic texture as the skirt and the cleavage and shoulders are covered by delicate, filigree lace. This awesome lace you can find for the leggins as well, and they are wonderful shown because of the high front of the skirt. The chest part is not just a basic black part it looks like 2 overlapping parts – again the prove for Nando’s love for the detail. The little collar carries 2 wonderful ornaments that match the necklace and the belly jewelry part. Together with the fingerless gloves the whole attire is very sophisticated and classy with a fresh and modern touch. If you take a closer look you can see the little jewelry parts at the belly and the necklace. Both are part of the stunning “Seoul” dress as well, so you only have to add a pair of earrings – in my case the white version of the “Hermosa Espina” from Finesmith. The incredible headpiece as well is made by Angel Dessous. No wonder that this incredible beautiful gown made the Top 12 for the MVW 2012 challenge!!!

MVW 2012: Evening Gown for Miss Spain 2012 by Mea Culpa & Finesmith

Mea Culpa did a fantastic job on the Evening gown for Miss Shena Neox, Miss Spain 2012. Black and red are the typical colors we think of, if it comes to Spain. So even for the evening gown Tatanka Kaligawa kept this colors. The basic red color of the dress is broken wonderful by the black fans and applications. The black ornaments are made with such a great eye for the details, where you again can see the incredible skills of Tatanka Kaligawa.  All those different shades of red and even a mixture of different red textures make this gown a piece of art. The jewelry is very filigree and delicate for the earings and necklace, but also the 2 amazing fans for head and hand are part of this amazing set. The fans underline the theme of the dress perfectly. “Hermosa Espina” you can purchase in 2 different colors at the Finesmith Mainstore. Shena Neox made it to the 2nd runner-up in the MVW 2012 contest with the “Devine Decision” gown from Mea Culpa and the “Hermosa Espina” jewelry set from Finesmith.

MVW 2012: National Gown for Miss Netherland 2012 by Gizza & Finesmith

The national gown for Miss Netherlands 2012 is made by GizzA and the matching jewelry was made by Finesmith. The wonderful tulip theme is typical for the Netherlands in general. GizzA and Finesmith perfectly worked together to create this wonderful out fit for Miss Draajke Daily. The combination of pink and green came out totally awesome. The shape and texture of the tulips and the whole “Tulip Gown” are made in a very fashionable and modern way. The dress has this awesome sculpted 2 huge attachments for the shoulder and neck part and the skirt is made of 5 wonderful attachments. The “Tulp” jewelry set from Finesmith comes with a pair of earrings, the necklace and an amazing bracelet. The “Tulp” set is available in a few more amazing colors as well at the Finesmith Mainstore. Both, jewelry and gown are made wonderful detailed with the tulips, some petals and they are incredible great textured.

Breathtaking News from Aleida!!!

The second dress as well was shown the first time at the BoSL Fashion Week 2011. “Life is a Chess” this incredible outfit is named and as you can see Aleida played with a lot of chessmen on this outfit. The basic colors black and white make a perfect illusion of a living chess board with all the chess pieces on it. The huge headpart carries them as well as the wonderful back train of the dress itself.

The mixture of the opaque chessmen and the floating lace make a perfect combination. The dress is made of a basic black fabric that open on the belly for a little chessboard 😉 Really a piece of Art!

The last outfit for today is the “Falling Apart Gown”. Also  the first time on the runway at the BoSL Fashion Week 2011. A total eyecatcher is the huge bow head piece and the beautiful sculpted skirt with all this little domino parts at the back.

All 3 designs are made very detailed and you can imagine how much time and effort were put in that dresses. Aleida is back with a big boom and awesome new designs. Watch out for her new Fall/Winter Collection 2011. This 3 dresses are only a little taste of what will come 🙂

Showreview: BOSL Fashion Week – Avantgarde

Today I was allowed to walk another show of the great BOSL Fashion Week. The theme was Avantgarde and again the BLVD Models had to style their own vision of avantgarde… but we as well had a premiere… our Editorial Clarity-Flux dared to walk the runway for his very first time :p For sure I had to ask him and his beloved husband RicoRacer Flux-Clarity if the would pose with me for my blog post opener pic and… they said yes!!! The result is the pic above! *happy dance* What a feeling between such great styled guys!!!

Ok Wicca… stop drooling… back to work… *coughs*

Again, as in the ‘Virtual Super Heroes’ show the BLVD Models had the freedom to style as they please to show off their very own vision of avantgarde. It was a hard decision and I made way more looks than this one… but this was the one that in the end, wich I was wearing on the runway 🙂

I started with one of the new designs of the latest Miamai Black Label line – “Ungud” out f the Chod Collection. The big sleeves that cover the hands and the huge neck collar got my attention as I saw it the first time. Then I remembered the wonderful “Caged Birds Skirt” made by Faster Pussycat. I just change the color of the pigeons a bit 🙂 We got eyeshadow from blackliquid and I added my longtime favourite lace tattoo from Obscure. The boots as well are from Miamai and the amazing headpieces I found at Lode. For jewelry I chose parts of the “Noir” collection of Finesmith Designs.

The show was great fun aI would like to thank all the people of the BLVD family who made this incredible show possible 🙂
