LOTD 08/17/2015 – Goodies @ On9 :)

On9 1a

Today I would like to showcase some of the amazing designs available at the On9 event.

On9 is a monthly event, that offers many different designers, creations, and items. You will find clothing, accessories, furniture, poses, shoes, makeup and nearly everything you can thin about all in one place done by different genius and skilled creators. You can imagine how happy I was when I was asked if we would like to be part with Wicca’s Wardrobe as well… among all those incredible designers and creators 😉

But today I won’t use any of our own stuff and put some spotlight on some of those amazing items you can find at the current On9 event.

On9 2a

Let’s start with the incredible amazing head-piece. Who else that Zib Scaggs, owner and designer of Zibska, could do such an amazing art piece?

The huge head-piece looks like made out of petals and some sweet fishes are swimming around. The head-piece comes with a great color HUD that lets you customize the petals, the accents and the fishes to many different colors.

To fit under this wonderful head-piece I needed some not too high but still modern and fresh looking hairstyle. Guess what… I as well found that one at On9 *snickers*. No.Match offers the perfect hair for my actual look. The “No.Call” style with the two smart braided tails left and right was the right addition to balance the crazy and the cute touch of the whole look.

The glasses are as well available at On9. Made by [Since 1975] those glasses are an extra ordinary addition to your accessories box! You can decide between 4 different colors. I went with the golden version for today’s post.

On9 3a

The super sweet top was made by the amazing Poulet Koenkamp, owner and designer of PurpleMoon.

Poulet is one of the most talented people, I was allowed to meet and call a friend in SL. She always amazed me with her stunning hand printed textures and her awesome ideas and designs. For this month of On9 she made this delicate top called “Anika” in 7 different colors. The top is a wide and loose fit and together with the cool sleeves, this top really is a must have for every ladies wardrobe especially for the late summer season:) .

The pants and the shoes coming from a very talented and skilled woman too. Thetra Blackheart, ower and designer of E-Clipse. The “Fringe Pants” I got longer ago but the amazing “Follia” heels are as well available at On9. In 6 different colors or as a fatpack, those amazing heels fit the Slink, the Maitreya and the TMP feet. The strapped heels have wonderful fringes at the front and some amazing metal decorations on the straps. With the HUD you can change the metals to 3 different types.

Last but not least I would like to zoom in a little bit closer and drag the focus on this incredible necklace from Kunglers. You can pick from 5 different colors. The great combination of filigree metals, stones and gems makes a wonderful every day necklace for many different styles.

For all the other amazing ne releases at On9 please jump over there and take a look by yourself. And don’t forget… every designer offers one piece for 20% off the regular price, like always at On9!

LOTD 06/24/2015 – Summery with Wicca’s Wardrobe

Charlotte & Nora Mood

I know it might sound weird but sometimes I have some very casual moods… That happened a few ago and in that mood, some of newer releases from Wicca’s Wardrobe were born.

When it comes to casual, I really like the muted, brownish tones. So the “Charlotte Jacket” and the matching “Nora Pants” got a color range from brown to creme. In total we made 6 colors.

Charlotte & Nora (muted)

For todays post, I chose the creme version of “Charlotte” & “Nora” as it matched my personal skin tone the best 😉 Matching shoes as well you can find at Wicca’s Wardrobe. For example the “Laureen Heels” in the Chic Edition, which I am wearing for the picture above.

The second ensemble we made in the same color range is a little more special… still casual, but not as sweet and playful as the “Charlotte & Nora” combination.

Jeanne & Sazzy (muted)

The “Jeanne Jacket” is a closed more urban looking style of jacket and the “Sazzy Pants” with their amazing zippers around the knees just made the perfect addition. To complete the look I chose the “Lydia Booties” as well from Wicca’s Wardrobe.

Both combinations are perfectly for any casual look 🙂

GizzA goes Vintage

Gizza 2

I love vintage looks! I always did though and so the “Absinthe” dress in vintage green totally caught my heart 😉

The dress comes with the matching necklace and is available in other wonderful vintage and non vintage patterns.

The wonderful floral print adds a lot of sweetness and beauty to the whole look.

To match the dress I certainly wanted a good girl hair and I remembered one of the braided hair styles from EMO-tions, the “Mela” hair.

The shoes, which came in the perfect shade are from Eudora.

Now I needed a place to snap this cute look. Lately Saz did renew the little parcel behind our store to a wonderful summery looking scene. I tried several places and it was really a hard desicion since there are so many nice spots 😉

Tadaaaa, that’s my GizzA vintage look for today 😉

Avantasia for THEMA Magazine

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 002

Avantasia

(some when in the future round about the year 2525 maybe….)

Be aware of the life on Avantasia before you venture into this world in the climax of war and anarchy, their enemies, the sirens of Venus who else.  The Avantasians are a complex race but by no means should they be underestimated, from their flexibility to the swifness of their long sharp talons, their catlike movements ooze in deadly elegance and subtle seduction as they prowl their world in search for the ultimate in style to seduce their next victim…I mean mate.

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 005

Sometimes you just need 2 to 3 pictures and you end up with 9 and cannot decide which ones to use. That happened to me when I made my pictures for the actual THEMA Magazine (http://issuu.com/themapublications/docs/thema_terraefirma)

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 003

The theme was Terrae Firma, and we was asked to create pictures about a new race of the existing planets or a new planet. When Tayler told me, I was immediately sure I wanted to create a new planet with a new race.

I wanted to do something still fashion related and human but to the same time, futuristic and apocalyptic. I love apocalyptic movies and art and so I watched  a few of my favourite movies while I was styling.

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 010

The first piece that came to my mind was the “Lucian Hat Nox” hat from Machoire. An incredible headpiece made of so many filigree parts and textured with such a great feeling for materials.

This amazing art piece is available in different colors, wich you all can see at the Machoire main store or at their website (http://machoire.blogspot.fr/)

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 007

Now I had to find something what kinda showed evolution for the future but still has a human aspect for the whole look.

The head-piece gave a rough idea for the general colors, back and some kind of metal should be the basic.

So started with a super old but still amazing top from Muhi. One of the brands I really miss in SL as they always were up to date and very fashion forward.

I know some people are against wearing old stuff and tell always to delete older things, but I am going more with my belly feeling and keep old things which I really like to combine them with new things. That sometimes can make a look very unique, as long as you keep the general style up to date and modern. Certainly some things are outdated some when, like the super old skins or hair, wich automatically let you look like 2007 :p , but for some clothing pieces and accessories that might not be the case 😉 . As well I would say there is a difference in wearing old things for a picture or on the runway as some of the older things just react weird with movement, especially if they have huge static prims or sculpties, wich can look better with a nowadays mesh prim that actually moves with your properly.

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 004

To add a modern touch I put on my “Lavinia Leggins” in anthracite, which I made for my store Wicca’s Wardrobe. With the leathern garter belt over the leggings – one piece to wear – it got a strong and powerful look but as well some sexy attitude.

To finish the basic human look I added hells from Death Row Designs with some heavy chains and a huge plateau heel.

Now the challenge started to develop the human race forward to fit in the futuristic and apocalyptic environment, that I had in my mind for the new planet and race.

The first idea was the “Demonhands” from Death Row Designs. The sharp claws are important to fight and survive on the new planets face.

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 006

I so many apocalyptic movies females wear corsets in some style and this made me add one corset of Trilobite over the “Asymetrical Bodysuit” from Muhi. And what should not miss? Some weapon looking accessories. Those I found as well at Death Row Designs.. I bet you can tell I love this store really a lot 😉 .

The finish was the “Centipede” spine attachment, that comes with a wonderful tattoo layer. The tattoo makes the spine look like, as it would grow out directly off your back.

All the poses used in this post are from Del May, one of my favourite pose makers beside PosESioN or Corpus to just name a few.

And like I said in the beginning, It was so hard to decide between all the pictures I made, that this post is a little bit picture heavy 😉

I would like to thank Taylor Wassep for this amazing opportunity and the great inspiration of her theme. The THEMA Magazine is for me really kinda an art exhibition with amazing stylists and photographers and I am feeling very honored that I was allowed to be part again 🙂

Playing with Projectors and Lighs – Part I

TFC Fantasy 01

A few days ago, I joined a class about blogging as I wanted to know if I can learn something new, as I am always looking for new thing I can discover and raise my horizon.

The class was amazing and at some point we came to the part of the pictures and how to take them and wich kind of pictures are for what situation. Usually you have more clean pics for blogging and castings and some more artistic pictures for a storytelling blog post or magazines.

We were talking about many of the very popular photographers in SL and as well about the difference of photographer and artists.

While a photographer usually just takes pics and does them tweak a little bit in one of the graphic programs, the artist takes a snapshot and you will not see the original snap anymore after the artist did the magic with the picture in his program by painting and editing a lot by hand. I would never go so far, to say one has less work or more work than the other, the amount of work might be the same, just it is in 2 totally different ways. While the artist has to be very familiar with his editing s program, his graphic tablet and his skills to paint and illustrate, the photographer needs to be familiar with the SL windlights, shadows, special angles and lights and maybe even with projectors or lighting tools. Both is a lot of work, I believe and it needs a lot of practice just it complete different ways.

TFC Fantasy 02

I saw for a longer time , that many photographers work with a tool called lumipro. I remember great pics done with this special light tool and I always wanted one to try but, since it is not cheap and I work in so many different areas, I never got one.

But then… lately I was talking to a very long friend of mine a lot and helped her here and there if she wanted my opinion, as friends do usually. Out of the blue one day when I logged in I got a gift…

The crazy girl did know, that I was after the lumipro for quite some time and guess what… She gifted me a lumipro!!! I stormed her IMs telling her she would be crazy to make such expensive gifts and I was totally happy and crazy about. She was just calm, smiles and told me that would be her way to show me how much she appreciated my help. I told her, that I did not do that for any kind of gift, more just because of our friendship and that I never expected anything for that, but she insisted on that this would be her way and I better accept it.

OMG I have a lumipro!

The rest of the evening was just gone, with all the work I wanted to do and I totally lost myself in my new toy. I have to admit I have still no clue how it works properly and I will need to watch a lot of tutorials and ask around to really get used to this fantastic tool but I am more than willing to try!

For today I just played around with the presets and changed them lightly, to see what possibilities and features it has.

TFC Fantasy 03

God this is a weapon if you know what you are doing with it!!!

I just placed myself in front of a white wall with my war turtle from [Swagga] and turned my windlight settings to midnight to see the full range of the light balls.

I was blown away what those 3 balls can do and I digged further into the user manual on the lumipro website to see what all those buttons of the HUD can do.

Then I found the projectors… holy cow! Now I know how some light settings were made on pictures that I loved so much!

The way to project lights behind you with different textures as filters, was something I totally had forgotten about since I started to play with windlights.

I do not know much at all yet to really use this fantastic photography tool properly, but I know that I will spend a lot of time in the future to be able to operate this HUD and bein able to use all its functions and features as this really is a lot of fun to play around with and that is the reason why I named this post ‘Part I’, because I am really sure about that this will not be the last post about my playing with lights and projectors 😉

But for now I have to finish as there is a lot of work left wich got delayed because of my new lumipro :p

Inspired by Tom Ford S/S 2015 – How I put my style together?

Ferosh 02

I have to admit the idea to make a Tom Ford inspired look came not out of my head. There was a casting a few days ago and they requested a 70s Glam style after the S/S Collection 2015 of Tom Ford.

So I made my homework and sat down with google and watched first the fashion show of that collection and the I asked google for some pictures out of that show.

I tried to figure out what were the main aspects of the whole collection. Besides many details I saw black, black and black, some straps, a lot of sheer materials, shoes with high platform heels. messy hair and smokey eyes paired with nude lips.

So far so good. Since I did not wanna copy any of those stylings to as well bring an aspect of myself to it.

I started with the sheer part. I went through my inventory to find something that does not cover up the whole body and as well would not totally hide under all the mesh clothing.

In the end, the “Brigitte Body Tights” from LeeZu were the choice after trying on several sheer parts of my inventory. I liked it cause the arms and the lower legs are left bare wich gives a lightly sexy touch wich I found as well in most of the Tom Ford show pictures.

Now… find something that really shows the sheer and does not cover it up totally…

Regular pants would just have hidden the sheer body suit. After trying several pants – short, capri, 3/4 – I remembered the pants of GizzA’s “Donatella” outfit. With only one leg and the belt holding the pants in place that was the exact piece that I wanted. To cover the private part I wanted to use something not super solid and I put on the “Romance Black” panties from [Magnolia In], wich sadly does not exist anymore.

The top should be something that catches the straps/wrap character and as well the 70s Glam part. I decided to go with the “TSADE / Body Cuff” from  .Shi. It looked good and as well the way I wanted, but I was missing something still. I tried several bra, s and short top, but either they did not look good or they poked out under the Body Cuff. Since this was going to be a casting styling, there was no way to cheat with poking through prims :p

Ferosh 03

Finally I found the “Daleth” top, as well made by .Shi. With the golden ornaments and the shining black texture it was exact the right piece for the look.

I saw no jewelry on most of the pictures that I saw and with the golden decorations at the top it looked ok to me.

Messy hair… sounds like an easy task but after trying some of the hair I already had and a lot of demos, I figured I need a short hairstyle as everything else was either poking into the “Body Cuff” or the top *sighs*. I did not saw any short hair on the pictures I looked and nearly started all over with a nother idea, when I saw the “Nyja” hair from eXxEsS. It was not exactly what I was looking for but after trying and looking at it for some time I liked it more and more 🙂

For the finish I just needed some smokey eyes and a light lip gloss wich not put any color on my lips, just a little shine.
