The artful Alchemy of Wicca Merlin – VERSUS Magazine Spring/Summer 2019

I had the great honor of being the cover and the cover story of the actual VERSUS Magazine. I do work with VERSUS as a model, stylist and photographer since the very first issue, the more I felt honored and happy about being asked if I would like to be on the cover!

I remember very well, how speechless and overwhelmed I was when Shena told me, that she planned me, my photography/blogging and our store for her next cover story – I nearly was fainting!

I was sent some wonderful questions for the interview by Sita Writer, in my opinion one of the most talented writers I met in SL (actually I do have 2 favorites only *grins*). Anyways, I was super happy when I saw, that Sita did not only pull the usual mainstream questions and it really was fun to answer them. And as if that would not have been enough already… Shena surprised me again and left me speechless! When I turned in my pictures for the Mother Nature theme I was assigned this issue, Shena went totally crazy about one picture and wanted to take that as the cover for the magazine… MY picture as cover for a magazine!?! that never happened before, I never was allowed to do a picture for a magazine cover!?!

I really have to say thank you for a wonderful article, as well as such a great honor, to Shena, Sita and the VERSUS Magazine staff for that incredible opportunity and experience! VERSUS always felt like home and family to me and that, even made that bond tighter than ever before.

Why I am posting this today, away from that I am so proud and honored, is that I got asked so often in IMs about the style I was wearing for the cover and so I will put my style credits below this post.

Butterflies – Black & White Experience

Sometimes, you see an outfit and immediately have an idea what you would like to do with it.

Exactly that happened with the “Siran” outfit from Zibska. In general with Zibska I have never a hard time when I am wearing one of her outfits, as I love er artistic view on clothing and design.

It was one of that days.. I stood around going through my inventory – telling myself I need to sort and clean that mess – and fooling around with unboxing and trying several things, when I found the “Siran” outfit from Zibska, which I got a while ago. When I put it on, the black and white caught my heart on the first sight. Yes – I have a weakness for black & white stuffs 😉

The asymmetric design with the huge black body attachment and the black butterflies on the right side and the more filigree white one on the left perfectly match the 2 colored body suit. The bodysuit as well is unsymmetrical with a long black arm on the right and short white one on the left.

Since I had butterflies already I felt the need for more butterflies and added some in the background that I got ages ago from Tableau Vivant.

The amazing hand piercings and claws are from MEVA… I know I had them showcased already a few times but they are just so amazing that I can’t take them off :p

The mask and the cute little key in my mouth, I found in a folder that I got longer ago :p It was made by Bauhaus Movement and originally there is as well a clown collar coming with it, which I did not use for todays look.

I really do enjoy black & white themes so I kept the background as well very simple. I hope you enjoyed the Black & White as much as I did 😉

The Style Icon – Legal Insanity

Legal Insanity invites you to celebrate legendary style icons from the past to the present by visiting “The Style Icon” Fashion Fair.

We challenged Second Life’s most celebrated designers to create a collection inspired by those who have made a mark in their lives, who have inspired them and shaped their fashion style. Pick up exclusive items inspired by as diverse Style Icons as Vivienne Westwood, Jean Harlow, Sophia Loren & Jim Morrison all in one beautiful sim.

We look forward to showcasing and presenting these iconic pieces to you as worn by Second Life’s very own fashion icons in two unique fashion shows to be held on the weekend of the 21st February 2014

The first outfit I wanna showcase today comes from Legal Insanity. I thought since Legal Insanity is the one who presents the whole event it would be nice to open my series of posts with them ;).

The “Vivienne Punk Gown”, fully mesh made comes i 3 different versions. All 3 have the amazing fabric that immediately reminds you about the UK and Vivienne Westwood, just in different shades. Since I have a fable for Vivienne Westwood, I did not wanna style up this gown just pretty and nice even if it is a wonderful long and tight gown what adds a very feminine touch to every styling.

The “Polly” hair from EMO-tions, just really caught my attention when I was looking through my hair to find the right one. The Polly hair comes with the cute beanie and the scarf as well. With HUD you can change the hair color and as well there is a HUD for the scarf and the beanie.
To give it a little more punk attitude, I added some arm warmers from BC322. After I added the “Spotty Mix” tattoo from artilleri, I wanted to give it even more Westwood feeling and decided to put the “Red Adore Me!” makeup from LovelyMi and my “Wicca” liner and the amazing “Blue as Steel” lipstick from SIlken Moon.

I remembered the amazing billboards from LeeZu. The were at the Arcade Gachas and the “Dreaming Poster” was just the right addition to my white room 😉

Daily Dose of Legal Insanity

Today I would like to show a dress, that I own for quite some time now, but I never made it to style it and post it. You know how that goes, if you run after all your blogger reviews and never find the time to blog something you bought somewhen 😉 So I took some time the last 2 days and finished the style and post finally 😉

The “Vague” dress from Legal Insanity was part of the RFL 2013 Fashion Fair. I got it in 2 different colors, black & white and something kinda orange & brown. For today I chose the black & white version. The texture looks very simple on the first view but if you take a closer look you can see, how amazing the white-grey looking suede parts are stitched on. The whole mini dress is mesh made and comes in different standard sizes, so that you can make sure it fits even your avatar.

A hair store, that my focus fell on lately is Miss C. They have some really neat and cool looking new hair. The “Xenia II” hairstyle with the cute curls in the front and the amazing hat, that let you change the textures by a menu just took my heart by storm ;). The bag is a super old one from LeLutka, but just because it is old it does not mean that it cannot be great… many older things that I have in my wardrobe are still wearable and uptodate. Many times we just forget that we have them 😉

The shoes are from J’s, a shoe store that I follow for quite a long time. I still remember they had the first wedged sandals with toe prims long before bare feet even were on the SL horizon 🙂 The new “Studded Long Boots” are mesh made as well and if you decide to go for the fatpack you get 5 amazing colors in different standard mesh sizes for male and female.

The necklace I took out of a new mesh jewelry set from EMO-tions called “Orion”. Usually you have a pair of matching earrings to go with the necklace but since I wanted to use the Mandala mesh ears with the tubes I decided to only wear the necklace.

Since I made it to one of my trademarks to have a skin without any eyebrows, I have to work a bot more with makeups and as well with eyebrow tattoos, if I wanna wear a darker color of hair.

The idea for the look without eyebrows, came during a shooting that I had with MaliciaPython, owner and designer of Silken Moon, for her new skin line and as well I found a few ladies out if the 70s and 80s, singers and artists, that had no eyebrows like the Italian singer Mina Cerca. All those ladies have something special and with the new canvas skin from Silken Moon it was easy to try that out. After several month of trying I have to admit I like that look and so I decided to go without any eyebrows at all. The only problem I found was, if I wanted to wear black or dark hair. Because then the no-eyebrows look became a weird touch. But how I could work that out? I did not wanna go with just eyebrow tattoos and again add me some usual eyebrows… Again it was Malicia that gave the push towards something I really liked. Why not make eyebrows that look like painted and unnatural and use them if needed. That was a great idea and to help at the beginning she made 2 sets of amazing eyebrow tattoos in that way 🙂
