Steampunk Fever!

Lately I was kinda affected by a Steampunk fever… I have no clue why, but each part of my body wanted to do something steampunk. Kara Trapdoor did even more throw me in that direction, when she IMed me, asking if I would like to be part of a steampunk exhibit done by bloggers. This wonderful exhibit started on the 4th of May 2014 and many of amazing bloggers made incredible pictures of steampunk sims, gear and fashion.

In SL I did not find too many steampunk designs so I decided this could be a reason to make some things, how I would imagine steampunk.

I started with a gown, the “Araminta” steampunk gown. When I finished it, in my view it looked a bit too elegant and I decided the gown has to have a jacket with it.

When the gown was finished, the more I looked at it, the more I wanted a hat for it. I started with a simple top hat and added more and more gear and a head band closed in the back, until I was satisfied with it. To match the color of the gown was not that easy and took me quite some time and cursings but in the end it worked out :p .

The glasses I am wearing are made by Crie Style, one of the most skilled designer if it comes to glasses and eye wear.

Gown, Hat… so what s missing? The gown can be worn as a long and wide and a short and tight version, so I decided to make some neat booties matching both of the dresses even if they only can be seen with the short version 😉 .

The “Araminta” steampunk gown and jacket comes in the 5 usual standart sizes plus the needed alpha layers. The normal prims of each of the 3 designs are either mod, or have a resizer so that you can make sure to make it fit your avatar.

LOTD 05/08/2014 – Charlie Chaplin’s little sister?

Sometimes it is fast and easy. You see something and immediately have a picture in mind what it should look like when you wear it. Exactly this I had with the “Suspenders Outfit” from GizzA. I was trying the ‘Dotty’ version and in the moment I put it on I had the vision of Charlie Chaplin. I have no clue why… maybe it was the amazing retro, vintage looking dotted top, the cute suspenders or the pinstriped texture of the pants. So I tried to think about what the little sister of Charlie Chaplin would style up like :p

As mentioned before the “Suspenders Outfit” from GizzA comes with mesh pants and top, so all I had to find was hair, shoes and some makeup, since I did not wanna overdo it with jewelry, as it would not have been appropriate in my opinion.

The shoe decision was fast. The “British Loafers” by Redgrave are one of my personal long time favourites and they add a light masculine touch to the look combined with the pants. For the hair I wanted to go with kind of a hat, but not a rel one when I remembered the “Bob Hair” from Bliss Couture. This hair had kinda an inbuilt hat made of hair and included in the actual hair style – perfect!

Pose Fair 2014 – News from Wicca’s Wardrobe!

The Pose Fair 2014 is up! RubyStarlight Writer again made it to put together one of the most popular events on the grid. Every year she takes a lot of time and effort to feature a lot of pose designers on her fair. This year she created an amazing place for the Pose Fair 2014.

When you enter the sim you will immediately see what I am talking about. The whole place is black and just the shop entrances are highlighted. When I set up my store I really was impressed and it was super fun to just walk around and enjoy the feeling of the darkeness outside of the shops 😉

For me this Pose Fair is very special as I was allowed to be part as a designer for the first time 🙂 . For my debut on the Pose Fair 2014 I made 4 different sets who are exclusively released atthe Pose Fair 2014 for now.

§ sets for the ladies and one for the gents. After I was asked so often to make some more male poses I had to include at least one set for the males as well even if I was told and as well shown, that some of my other sets as well work unisex.

I hope you enjoy my new sets and have fun by using them for runway or pictures 😉

Spring Time with Lybra

Lybra again made a mini collection of spring or even summer awaiting designs ;).

Today I wanna drag the focus on the “Jamee” dress. All of the dresses and gowns of this sweet mini collection are full of color and aerial parts, but the “Jamee” dress really caught my attention the most, so I decided to put it first 😉

The base of the dress is mesh made, so you can be sure it will move amazing with your avatar. The wonderful skirt accent parts at the bottom are flexible prims, wich move amazingly with every step, and some of them even go up to the hips what gives a real playful touch.

At the chest a wonderful flower ornament was added, wich underlines the spring or summer touch. The whole collection was released for the K.I.D.S charity and one of the amazing dresses even was a 100% donation for even that.

Certainly I could have added a wonderful elegant updo, wich would have put the dress more towards a gown attitude, for a more elegant occasion, but I loved the simple and clean, even lightly casual touch with the short and modern hair cut from Vanity Hair. For the makeup I wanted to continue my simple and easy, casual spring look and I just added some orange nailpolish from Nailed It! and the open version of the “Diva Lips” from Silken Moon in papaya with the prim teeth attachment in pearly white, that comes with the whole pack.

The furniture, that you can see on the first picture was made by Atelier Visconti. The “Sophie” set contains a table, a chair, cupcake stands and cake stand, wich you can modify and 3 super sweet and cute cupcakes. I liked the idea of a spring morning, when you can have breakfirst outside – coffee and some sweet cupcakes in the sun… what more do you need?

Today I am very excited to announce that I finally released my short series of corsets with matching jeans and bolderos 🙂 . It is a short collection of 6 different patterns and fabrics that iI was working on for quiet some time now. In RL I am addicted to corsets so it was a long time dream to make some in SL as well that would be kinda the style I could like to wear. Usually if you hear corsets many have only the fetish vision or a medieval look in their mind, but corsets can be so much more and they can be part of every day wear as well.

A corset is a garment worn to hold and shape the torso into a desired shape for aesthetic or medical purposes (either for the duration of wearing this item, or with a more lasting effect). Both men and women are known to wear corsets, though women are more common wearers.

In recent years, the term “corset” has also been borrowed by the fashion industry to refer to tops which, to varying degrees, mimic the look of traditional corsets without actually acting as one. While these modern corsets and corset tops often feature lacing or boning and generally mimic a historical style of corsets, they have very little if any effect on the shape of the wearer’s body. Genuine corsets are usually made by a corsetmaker and should be fitted to the individual wearer. (Wikipedia)

In the fashion industry corsets became again more and more popular as sexy and modern accessories. And so I am happy to present my short mini corset collection in my store now 😉

I packed some full outfits but as well I offer all the corsets, jeans and bolero single, so that you can mix and match them how ever you like 😉 .

The pants have a special metal button that gets repeated at the bolero as well. On the first view the boleros are all black but if you take a closer look, each of that 6 different black jackets have a different pattern or feature round the zipper on the arms to match the jeans and corset they belong to. Certainly you can cross mix them as well.

The corsets all have a different texture and a certain style. Anyways if back laced or front laced or with straps and buckles, all of them come in the 5 standard sizes and are mesh made, same as the jeans and the boleros.

GizzA & PosESioN for the FIERA Spring Fashion Fair 2014 @ SAVIAD

One more post for the FIERA Spring Fashion Fair 2014 for today 😉

This time I would like to show case one of the amazing creations of GizzA at the SAVIAD sim. The “Lolita Dress” comes with leggings that have the heels included, the hat and the wonderful butterfly belt accessories. With the light brown and beige color it really gives you a feeling of the coming warmer days of spring.

For the jewelry I decided to go with the “Geula” set of Finesmith. The golden brown textures give a wonderful frame for the huge gem and with the beige of the outfit it was just as it was made for it 😉 .

To match the beautiful gem I wanted to add some more color to the beige and brown. I remembered one of the “Rainbow” eye shadows. The “Rainbow Mauve” catched the colors of the gem so wonderful and gave the whole look the little bit of color I wanted.

The little bag, I made by myself and I like it so much that I decided to make a few white ones, wich you can find at my first gacha on the SAVIAD sim as well 😉

Now I wanna share a secret with you… if you take a look on my skin… yes it is still my custom-made Wicca skin by Silken Moon, but Malicia updated it!

She made a whole new body and as well updated a lot of my facial features. And besides my usual super light tone she made me one version in the new peach tone she made for her new skin line as well! But this I would like to pull over onto a nother post with a total spotlight on my new updated Wicca 😉

Wicca’s Wardrobe for the FIERA Spring Fashion Fair 2014 @ SAVIAD – Part 1

Today I am very excited… The FIERA Spring Fashion Fair 2014 is the first event I was asked to be part as a designer!

I started making poses longer ago and lately I found fun in making shoes and clothing. I started with some black and white clothing and so the SAVIAD event really was a challenge for me. The request was to create something spring looking. I thought a long time anbout what I could do and did some research of the colors for spring 2014. In the end the result was 2 very different creations and the first one I would like to show you today.

The “Spring Flower” dress is a short, non symetric dress with amezing ruffles on the outside of the right leg, wich is a little longer than the left side. To underline the soft orange color I decided to add some orchids and Daisys in front of the dress. I started with the sash of flowers and while I was putting them together one by one the idea came to my mind to extend them even down the ruffles. When I saw the final result i wanted to add some more flowers round the head and so the idea of a little hat was born 😉

To add some more flowers i decided to include 2 little daisys to the dress as earrings. When I took a final look over the dress with the hat, I could not resist to even make booties for it as I like to create whole looks where all works together. Sometimes I have trouble while styling to find the right color for the shoes and so the “Spring Flowers Booties” were born 🙂 . The “Spring Flower Booties” match the color of the dress and as well repeats the orchids and flowers I used for the dress sash and the head piece.

In the end I liked the dress so much that I wanted to make it in another color, so I decided to make a white version of the “Spring Flower” dress and the booties as well.

Wicca’s Wardrobe: New Age – My Debut

Today I am very excited and nervous because this will be my first pose about some clothing I made myself.

At the end of January I will turn 7 years old in SL. 7 years are a lot of time and if I look back most of the time I really had fun 😉 .

I explored a lot, tried to RP and dancing in clubs and after sometime I found my way into modeling in the end of 2008 by taking my first modeling classes at schools and academies. Since then I was doing a lot of runway shows, various video productions, managing different stores, having my own agencies and magazine with SL Art Couture and discovered blogging as one of my addictions besides teaching.

Early 2013 I realized my self being kinda restless as I wanted to do something new. First I was not really sure what it should be. More and more the dream was growing inside of me t make something, something that i can hold in my hands saying it is made by me 😉

First I tried it with poses. I was making poses anyways for my blog sometimes and after I was asked why I do not sell them, the idea of Wicca’s Wardrobe was born. For quite some time I just made poses and I still have fun doing that. But more and more a nother desire was growing inside myself… I wanted to create more than poses. After looking a bit on marketplace I found the wonderful world of mesh, sculpties and prims. Together with my Photoshop addiction the plan to make shoes or clothing for myself came more and more real.

I started with some accessories like head pieces or hats and some bracers until I found some awesome pants on Marketplace I wanted to try for myself first. It worked out quite nice and so I decided I can put it to Wicca’s Wardrobe. One by one all the pieces of the “New Age” outfit found their way into my inventory and I had a lot of fun by trying different textures and combinations. The result was the “New Age” outfit in 3 lightly different versions.

The outfit can be purchased as a total for each version or you can mix and match together your version if you just pick the single at my Mainstore. The whole “New Age” outfit contains awesome mesh pants with those fancy leg shape, the mesh top that can be worn with or without the shoulder attachment and you can choose between 3 types of bracers. The shoulder parts and bracers are able to be fitted with a resizer and for the mesh parts you always have the 5 standard sizes.

Wicca’s Wardrobe – The Claw Boots now arrived in the Main Store

You got a sneak peek during the 12 days of Christmas of the Crazy Connection, had a taste of the exclusive for the Couturier’s Docks, you even saw them walking the runway during the In-Pose!/Silken Moon show presented by SL Fierce. Now my new “Claw Boots” are available at my Mainstore.

You will find 16 different colors of leather for the “ClawBoots”. Each one has a resizer to make sure it fits your avatar and as well a HUD, wich let you change the metal parts between silver, gold and black metals and the lace parts to white, black and a matching color.
