A gathering of SL designers from across the grid of all styles and genres, coming together for two weeks of fundraising to raise funds to go towards the American Brain Tumor Association to aide in the awareness, research and in aiding those that suffer from brain tumours/cancer.
Malicia Python, owner and designer of Silken Moon, contributes wonderful items to help and raise the funds. She created a wonderful version of the “Stella” skin for this event. The “Stella” skin is one of the latest creations of Silken Moon. The “Wear Grey for a Day” version was made as a special for the WGFAD event only. The lips and eyes have a wonderful light grey color what gives the whole look a wonderful mystic touch.
Malicia Python: “This is the first time, Silken Moon takes part in the WGFAD Event, offering only new and exclusive items, Stella – the newest line with a special WGFAD makeup plus 2 bags of makeup, one contains 9 Lipglosses, the other tintable gloss, lipstripes and eyeshadows.
As I really mean to raise funds I packed the Gatcha with some lovely spring coloured mesh ballet flat, for only 50L$ a draw – you will find the purple pair in this box (if you really like, get another pair and we are even 🙂 )”
The 3rd Crazy Hair Hunt!!!
ONCE UPON A TIME, not so long ago, there was a woman with a dream.
FOREVER FOND OF THE ODD, colorful, interesting and unusual, she wondered why people looked so sad. Was it their perfectly nice and respectable – but muted hairs? Had nice – or even worse – boring hair sucked the spirit out of them?
THEN LIKE A BLAST, it came to her!
It wasn’t that they all had to be as one, it was that they had all forgotten how to throw caution to the wind. To be wild and free, to dance to their own tune like no one was watching, sing their own song, be a shepherd and not a sheep. To know they can be anything and not settling for less!
Perhaps she could help them? Find others who could assist her in showing those restrained by the real world how to let out their inner Vivianne Westwood couture model, outrageous drag queen, ripped and torn punk rocker or squeaky and shiny cybernun? Perhaps they secretly wanted to be a cat/spider/demon or toaster?
To not be afraid of new ideas and enjoy the madness of creation in all its weird and wonderful forms!
SO SHE AWOKE and planned to seek out like minds to assist her.
ACCOMPANIED by a marvellous bunch of trusty friends, she set about finding those capable of making brilliantly wild and crazy hair. Only specific makers were asked, because the team had to be sure they were worthy of the challenge ahead.
They all laughed excitedly and said “Let’s do it”!

Wicca’s Wardrobe: LOTD 03/29/2012 – A Chorus Line meets Madonna
Today it was relatively quiet and I roamed through my inventory, cleaned some out and sorted some in. In that process I tried a few things, I never looked at for in ages. I am sure you know what I mean, if I say, I went shopping, bought some stuff I would like to blog and it got hidden behind all the stuff I had to blog in my inventory*lol*
While I was playing around I got the movie/musical “A Chorus Line” in mind and I have no clue why. My i-tunes was playing Madonna songs and then suddenly as I was trying the “Esher Sheet Tights” leggings with the “Esher Wrap Vest” from ISON, that were sold during the event on the epoch sims, an idea got stuck in my mind… The wonderful corset comes from NV Corsetry and it was the hunt item for the Womens stuff hunt. Originally it came with a full outfit, but for this post I just took “The Ritz Corset” of it.
While I was developing my look I just remembered that Wenadrenia Soderstrom, owner and designer of J&W Jewelers, told me she made new jewelry and she sent me a few samples. For this jewelry, there has to be another post as she has so many new sets and works on a wonderful charity project as well, but like I said that has to be a special post soon 🙂 Nevertheless I wanted to give a short sneak preview of what she created last and as I tried the first set it so matched what I was aiming for. The “Snake-skin & Silver” set of the “Brooks Collection” with all its circles in silver, snake-skin, brown and black really made a great addition to the whole look. The earrings with the tassels hanging down, the necklace with the circles and tassel, the huge bangles and the belt totally matched my imagination 🙂
Last but not least I took a the hat of the “Love for McQueen” outfit, done by RFyre and looked into the mirror… yes that’s what I had in mind 😉

Today I would like to pull the focus on Faster Pussycat again. Honey Bender, owner and designer of Faster Pussycat, always stood for outstanding and extravagant fashion for me. I personally know her for a long time and I always adored her creativity and how she designs outside the box but still fashionable. The more I am happy to have some of her creations again to blog 🙂
For this post we have the “Showgirl” outfit. A wonderful red combination of a high-waisted skirt and the little hearts at the cheat that allow a kinda topless sexy look that still has covered what it needs to 🙂 The cute little hat as well comes with the whole outfit. The “Showgirl” really kinda gets you the feeling of a vintage cabaret or even a burlesque touch comes up with it. The huge white roses necklace with the pearls round the neck are a wonderful addition to make this look complete.
For the shoes, I decided to wear one of the latest releases from [sys]. The “Vogue” ankle boots in black. The red version I had earlier this week on my blog already. The black version as well is made of fantastic made leather and the awesome silver steel plate heel. The black version does not have the huge spikes, instead you have this squared silver parts that decorate the front of the booties.
For the hair I chose on one the latest releases by Urban Lutz called “Yula” the touch of vintage paired with a modern look really made the finish for this style today 🙂

Spring is coming with floral News :)
SoliDea FoliEs lately released so many amazing new outfits that I only hardly can keep up posting them all, but I am still trying :p
For today I have the “White Orchid” as the first outfit. The whole dress really shouts spring time with all the wonderful flowers that decorate the head-piece and the chest part of the dress.
To add the aerial touch for the perfect spring mood Mila Tatham, owner and designer of SoliDea FoliEs, added some wonderful flexible long lines that kinda flow around you while you walk. For the “Wild Orchid”, that you can see on the picture above you have the same great attributes as for the “White Orchid” but the color was changed to pink, purple and teal, an amazing color combination for spring colors.
The “Cirpis” in chocolate as well is one of the latest releases by SoliDea FoliEs. For the headpiece again we have this wonderful orchids that seem to be part of the Spring Collection 2012 of SoliDea FoliEs 😉 I really like the floral parts to welcome the spring time. The color, a mixture of rose and brown tones really makes this dress to a highlight.

Wicca’s Wardrobe: YAY! I made it :) – Finale Outfit for H.O.R. Casting

House of Rage was holding a casting for new models for their staff. As I adore House of Rage for a while, I dared to enter the challenge 🙂 For the first round we got an outfit we had to style and do a picture from. That style I already posted a few ago 🙂 (http://wiccamerlin.wordpress.com/2012/02/13/wiccas-wardrobe-my-look-for-the-house-of-rage-casting/). We got the outfit at the House of Rage Mainstore and had to put our own touch to it with accessories. I really liked that idea as all have the same basics to begin with. As I was told that I made it with a few others to the next round I was happy like a child on christmas ;). For the finale round of the casting we were told to develop our own look with the wonderful creations of House of Rage. I went to the H.O.R. Mainstore and looked around a while, not really able to decide only one outfit. With my addiction to mix and match I came on the idea just to combine a few different outfits and make my own look out of it. As I arrived at the casting I really became nervous. I did not know if it was right to mix and match different H.O.R. outfits or if they wanted to see a full outfit only. I saw all the other contestants and they looked fabulous, that made me even more nervous :p
With my name for sure I again was last to walk out :). We first had to walk our styling of the first round and then in another walk the new one. At the end of the runway, Topaz and Lovely waited on us and we had a short interview at the end of our second walk. Both were very nice and kind and made it easier for us and as well they took some of my nervousness :).
A few days later we got the result on a wonderful picture (the one I started the post with), a really nice idea to show results of a casting 🙂
