A Start is Born! – Launch of a new group for promising starter models

SECOND LIFE PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Announcement:  Launch of a new group for promising starter models, “A Star Is Born!”

Kay Fairey announces today that she is launching a non-profit group that is dedicated to providing promising starter models with actual runway show experience to initiate their career start.

This group will be led by Kay Fairey and will admit a maximum of 20 new graduate students from any model academy in Second Life to provide real on-the-job runway show experiences which the members can list in their resume when applying for agency castings.  Kay stresses that the group is neither an academy nor an agency and will not be affiliated with any particular model academy.  All members will be asked to leave after they have three show experiences including shows by other groups in order to open their spots to newer graduates.  This activity will continue while Kay is able to provide this service.

Shows will be organized and run by Kay at runways that will be rented with the support of BLVD Agency under BOSL Organization, where Kay is currently CEO.  Blackbarbie Bravin and Wicca Merlin, who support this concept, have joined the group as Officers.

There will be a minimum payment made to all models which will be less than the market average for professional models but Kay stresses that she wants future top models to be accustomed to the idea of paid modeling jobs as she is also an avid promoter of paid shows.

“Models spend a lot of money to style the given outfits so that they look good.  I think it is only fair that models get some payment even if they will usually spend more than they earn.  Free shows with no payments made to models are taking advantage of the money models pay out of their pockets to make the outfit and the agency look good and this is not fair to them.”

The way new graduate students are invited to this group may change in the future but for now only those who have been recommended by various modeling academies will be invited to the group to make sure the promising future top models get priority in taking advantage of this system.

A separate letter will be sent out soon to modeling academy Owners and Directors.

A special thanks goes to Mr. Frolic Mills of BOSL Organization for supporting this concept and allowing this group to use his runways as show venues.

Wicca’s Wardrobe: Angel Dessous News and Finesmith’s RLF contribution… my vision ;)

I had a dream … wich girl would not dream about a to be captured and rescued by a strong  handsome knight…

One of the latest creations of  Angel Dessous is called “Mona”. A wonderful and beautiful lingerie set, as well available in black. “Mona includes bracelets and a necklace as well even if I used for this post the great contribution of Finesmith Designs for the Glance RLF event. But to that I come a bit later 😉 “Mona” is a very exquisite lingerie set and you can see how long Nando Korobase must have sat on that design. All this amazing different and filigree textures show how detailed Nando works if he creates new outfits. The stockings you have the nylon fabric for the down part. The top is ends in an awesome lace texture that accents the ladies long well-shaped legs so beautiful. The sweet, neat garters that lead over to the delicate panties… stunning and seductive ;). The corsage as well looks very elegant and sexy and with the lovely prim ribbon in the front it gets a light playful touch as well. The gloves with the amazing bracelets are as well part of the “Mona” outfit.

Now lets take a closer look the great feather collar that yula Finsmith made for the Glance RFL 2011…

An amazing little piece of art that totally matched my vision for this styling 😉 the collar itself is made of 2 colors for the white as well as for the black one. version. The white version has black white black for the collar itself the black one just the other way round and for sure the difference of this both is the white or black color of the feathers. This accessory is really a wonderful addition to every look and it is sold for a good cause as well 😉 So you should not even think about if you must have the “Divine Spirit White Feathers”  or not 😉

The face tattoo comes from White Widow and is one out of the latest line Julie Hastings released. “Volute” is available in 5 different colors (black, copper, gold, red and silver) and each color comes with 3 different versions like for both eyes, or left and right only 🙂

The skin is one of the newest from Glam Affair called “Mary” for this post in the light tone. For sure I will show the rest of the make ups of this amazing skin soon in an extra blogpost 😉

But now I guess I should stop dreaming about the strong handsome knight that comes rescue me out of my chains and go back to work 😉

DoJo and Body Talking for the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser Project!

Again I found 2 amazing designers that help with their amazing creations for the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser (http://slurl.com/secondlife/World%20of%20Beauty/205/147/1003): DoJo, paper couture made by Sanders Beaumont and Body Talking with the great poses from Arisia Ashmoot!

Lets start with the amazing “Hanami” outfit. In the colors black, red and white this neat dress is a wonderful contribution to such a great charity event! A mixture of girlie look of the dress and as well a little urban look with the leggings that made me fall in love with.

The dress has a basic white texture with amazing and modern black ornaments. The red accents of the seams and as well the wonderful big ribbon in the back, that gives for me a wonderful transition to the asian look. Like the big ribbons in the back of the kimonos 🙂 The black leggings have a few transparent parts and the whole pants are a firework of a texture… I really fell in love with! At the ankles you can see 2 little prims that lead to the amazing shoes, that as well are part of the outfit.

Wonderful red, grey and black peeptoes ankle boots… simply amazing and you are not in trouble to find matching shoes 😉 The toes are amazing realistic and the textures of the shoes it self fit perfect to the rest of the outfit. Also part of the “Hanami” outfit are the sweet sticks that you can see at the back of the head in black and red. Over all a must have for each fashionistas wardrobe and for a very good cause as well!!! So do not think about too long this 250L$ are more than worth it and you can help with!!!

I am very happy that I can show you as well, that Body Talking as well joined the helping hands! Arisia Ashmoot a wonderful person with a big heart (yes sissy, that I had to say 😉 contributed an amazing group pose to the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser (http://slurl.com/secondlife/World%20of%20Beauty/205/147/1003) project…

“Girls Only” the perfect pose for some friends that wanna show that they have fun 😉 So girls who wanna have fun go and get the “Girls Only” pose of body talking and help as well with the purchase of this amazing pose that Arisia Ashmoot created. No bad body angles, now weird stretching of parts of the body and no limbs that look like broken. This pose again shows the high standard that Body Talking has for their poses. To get it just make your way to the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser Donation (http://slurl.com/secondlife/World%20of%20Beauty/205/147/1003) sim and search for a pose stand high up in the air close to one of the corners 😉

Gasqhe and Baiastice for the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser!!!

Today I received the wonderful contribution of gasqhe for the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser project. The wonderful red body suit carries the name “Reby” and as you can see it is not only a simple red body suit… gasqhe made an awesome fashion outfit out of a wonderful idea for a great cause!!!

The red bodysuit is great made with light and shadows and a light folds that make it just look awesome. For sure a total eyecatcher is the huge veil that looks like it would be in motion can pulled back by a flurry of wind.  One more prim makes the amazing parted coat. So run to the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser Sim (http://slurl.com/secondlife/World%20of%20Beauty/205/147/1003) and make your part to help and get this awesome outfit for your wardrobe!

An awesome red stiletto with cute lines and a sweet ribbon in the back. Perfect for every elegant dress or even a neat casual outfit! And do not forget all the money you spent will help the people who were hit so hard by the terrible disaster in japan! So please make your way to the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser Sim (http://slurl.com/secondlife/World%20of%20Beauty/205/147/1003) and see what else beside gasqhe and Baiastice you can get there, I am sure you will find a lot what you like and every single linden counts 🙂

Marita Overland helps the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser!

Marita Overland, designer of Runway Couture gave me yesterday her contribution to the great Pacific Crisis Fundraiser Project…

As I was talking to her she told me:

“As in true Runway Couture fashion, we love to create beautiful pieces to benefit great causes! As I sat last night talking to a friend from Hawaii, she got an IM stating that the first earthquake had hit Japan. I knew right then, I need to create something  to sell and donate the proceeds to Red Cross for the Tsunami reliefs!

I really hope you like this gown, as much as I loved making it and you do you part in supporting the relief efforts!”

So please make your way to the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser (http://slurl.com/secondlife/World%20of%20Beauty/205/147/1003)and help! This amazing simple made gown shows way more than just elegance … it shows that you were able to help and if you wear it, it will always remind you that you wear a gown that was made for such an important charity event!!!
