Wicca’s Wardrobe: Jewelry Tree

Today I was in a little black mood again and wanted to do something semi formal, elegant but still something artistic. Sometimes you have something in your mind and it just does not wanna come out. I was trying for over 2 hours … different outfits, accessories.. nothing wanted to ‘click’ in my mind and set something free or meet my imagination or feelings. The all of a sudden I came across the “Haudrey Night” head piece from SoliDea FoliEs. That was a great basic to start with. I looked through all the new releases from SoliDea FoliEs to find a matching outfit. The “Sofia” dress was the perfect outfit and slowly the idea for the style and picture were growing inside my head 🙂

The tight shoulder free dress and the wonderful head piece let room for some extravagant jewelry. Not too long ago Finesmith released the set that was made for the Finesmith Muse 2014 poster. The set contains two chest and two body parts. in silver with light green gems and light pink flowers. The “Haudrey Night” head piece has some black pearls on it and i wanted to bring them back, so I added the bracelet from the “Maniko” set as well from Finesmith.

Now I needed some scenery and I have no clue why but a ‘Jewelry Tree’ was stuck in my mind  all of a sudden. I did not wanna have a spring tree with lots of petals and stuff and I remembered an old dead tree I bought ages ago for an event deco. To decorate the tree with jewelry I needed something that brings something organic with it. The”Love doesn’t grow on trees” set! yes that could be an idea. Finesmith released this set last year and I already fell in love with it  as it came out. The combination of organic parts like the wooden parts of the eye ornaments and the wonderful combination of all those different materials and shapes in the necklace were just perfect. I only had to resize them to make them really big so that I could decorate the dead tree with them.

Now I only had to place myself into that tree and my imagination became true 🙂

Gizza - Like a virgin full

Today when I was thinking about what to wear for my GizzA shift I was listening to Madonna’s song ‘Like a Virgin’ as I again was dragged in some 80’s mood. Yes I know, I have a fable for the 80’s and especially the music of that time.

I like to mix and match my outfits and so I started to look for a top that I could use for a basic for my styling. As I was trying the “Anna” gown from GizzA, I fell in love with the top part of it and decided to use it together with the collar. For the pants I chose the “Loose Denim Short”, a well from GizzA.  What I loked a lot was the glam looking top against the kinda used looking shorts. Usually you might think that cannot really go together, but for me it did :p . The leggings are one of the latest releases from LeeZu called “Glitter Tights” Together those parts made kinda an 80’s look for me so I went further and added the “Epaulette” shoulder piece and the cute Handkeys” in the music version. The mesh boots I found at J’s. Now I wanted to have a strong makeup that as well underlines the 80’s look and remembered the “Geometrie” makeup from *LpD*.  The wild, lightly messy hair “Dolce” from LeLutka was the perfect hairstyle to the whole look for me.

SoliDea FoliEs, White Widow & h.m.a.e.m. for the Couturier’s Docks

Today I am happy to do my first blog post for the Couturier’s Docks 🙂 As mentioned before in a another post, this is a very special event that features a few designers and some very special designs 🙂 (http://wiccamerlin.wordpress.com/2012/05/16/the-couturiers-docks/)

Today I just mixed and matched a few of them together as I liked the cute look that came out 🙂

The dress comes from SoliDea FoliEs and is called “Polly Doll” and it was made for this event. The outfit contains the gloves, the neck part that goes down over the shoulders and the cute corset. To make it easier to wear the corset, Mila Tatham included an alpha layer for that part of the body.

The hat looks like it was made for that outfit but it is not actually part of it. the hat comes off the house of h.m.a.e.m. and it looks perfect to the “Polly Doll” outfit.

Last but not least, Julie Hastings – owner and designer of White Widow – created an amazing facetattoo for the Couturier’s Docks. The “Feather” tattoo is available in different colors and you always have the option of wearing it with or without an eyeshadow.

Les Petits Details for the Ashraya Project

Today I have the great pleasure to show one of the first designs for the Ashraya Project (http://wiccamerlin.wordpress.com/2012/04/17/the-ashraya-project/)

The beautiful “Summer Breeze” dress with the matching hat… both made of wonderful shaped and textured sculpties .

The “Summer Breeze” ensamble will be available in 3 differnt colors. For my post today I picked the blue version. The dress is made in a wonderful aerial way so that you nearly can fell the light summer breeze that waves trhough the skirt. The huge ribbon is a wonderful detail, that adds a lightly playfully girl touch.

The “Summer Breeze” ensable will be the charity item from Les Petits Details for the Ashraya Project and such a sweet dress that matches the actual season in such an awesome way AND helps a good cause should not be missed in every fashionistas wardrobe 🙂

The LM for this fabulous charity event will be given out soon and be added as soon as I got it 🙂

For the jewelry of the look I chose one of the latest releases from Finesmith – the “Folieole” set in mapel. The wnderful colors and the unusual shape made the perfect finsh for my today’s look 🙂
