Mayden Ushimawa for “Claim the Fame” – Week 2 – Formal

For the first week of Claim the Fame the designers had to create a formal attire for male and female and make a description that was read during the TV Show on Metaverse TV. (http://metaversetv.com/blog/2011/04/claim-the-fame-2/)

All designs of the Claim the Fame Shows are available at the KULT District (for surl please click here)

Mayden Ushimawa:”To make the “Monica” dress I was inspired by a memorable evening of spring. The dominant color is white, this is a pure color and different from the usual formal dress. Lace makes the dress most elegant. The collar with plumes and the flexi skirt gives movement to the dress.

For the “Brian” outfit I took inspiration from the very beautiful RL models, with a perfect body and a face to be kissed all over. For this reason I created this outfit. It gives the impression of a man who has just escaped from a crowd of girls, a bit messy and not even having the time to wear his jacket.”

Marita Overland for “Claim the Fame” – Week 2 – Formal

Marita Overland:”Wicca wears a lovely white gown consisting of a scuplted top and half skirt.  You can’t help but notice the stylish silver armor on the shoulders and waist along with a structured bow in the back.  As if the skirt wasn’t elegant enough, it glitters even more with a second layer of fabric.  The shoes are also included in this romantic, yet edgy, ensemble.

Harsch is wearing the “Romeo” version of the formal wear. A miliary style jacket and pants, in white and gray, are a wonderful compliment to his “Juliet”.  The jacket is adorned with a high collar, cuffs, armored shoulders and belt.  The boots are also included with the outfit you see here.  Seemingly for seeing his own fate, the belt includes the poison he will take his own life with and the dagger Juliet will use to perish herself. True love never looked so stylish.”

Wicca’s Wardrobe – Puzzle Styling in a Crazy Mood

For the very first “Claim the Fame” TV show I put together an outfit that I liked in the end so much that I decided it will become a Wicca’s Wardrobe styling 😉

Many people know my addiction to take different parts of ready mae outfits or even many single parts and put them together to make a new look out of them. The styling for this post exactly was such a ‘puzzle’ mood 😉 The pants are part of the Gizza “Diamond Catsuit” in silver. For the corset i chose one of Trilobite my favourite corset maker named “Leather V” in coal. The top… yes I name it top even if it is just  a bit more as a collar*giggles* comes from Kyoot Army and carries the name “Wilted Wednesday Vest”. The “Black Peahen” gloves by Glam Affair without the fingertips matched perfectly for the look I wanted to have. For the “Igaly Darkness” Boots by Eshi made a wonderful repeat of the look that the “Valeria” earrings from Finesmith Designs have – yes I so love that earrings ;). As well from Finesmith Designs are the “Draakje” nails that are only available in size 10. My hairstylist for this look was dianny3636 Aeon with her “Xia” hair attachment and the matching hairbase in black. The artist that made my wonderful tattoo was Shanea Parx from Wicked Tattoos. The skin is one of  my 2 actual favourite made by Glam Affair called ” Mary” in the light tone. The armlets I found at Rozoregalia as a part of the “Hydra” line.  For me a perfect everyday look for the crazy and daring fashionista 😉 The poses of the yellow pictures I got from Diconay Boa, genius designer of CORPUS poses. If you need poses for pictures or even poses that are out of the box you definitely should visit her store and take a look. The amazing “Cycle Dancer” of the pink picture I found as a prop in 3 different colors with 16 different poses at Posies.

Lexi Vargas for “Claim the Fame” – Week 2 – Formal

For the first week of Claim the Fame the designers had to create a formal attire for male and female and make a description that was read during the TV Show on Metaverse TV. (http://metaversetv.com/blog/2011/04/claim-the-fame-2/)

Lexi Vargas, designer of  Brocade Tiger, brought a neat firework of amazing textures with the “clockwork” couple outfit that was not just formal in my view 😉 As well I saw a light steampunk touch in that as well what really touched my soul 😉

Lexi Vargas:”‘Lady Clockwork’, a striking formal gown in the Steampunk tradition. A three-layered skirt gives depth with two layers of striped fabric topped with a draped and partially jeweled top layer in the signature clock print fabric. The fitted, square necked bodice is a combination of the striped and print fabrics and the same theme carries into the beautifully shaped and traditionally fitted sleeves embellished with puffs at shoulder, elbow and wrist. The whole ensemble is drawn together by a semi opaque bow and drape effect that makes a dramatic silk waterfall down one side of the gown. Sure to be an eyecatcher at any formal event where Steampunk/Victorian dress is required.

The male model strikes a dashing note in ‘Lord Gear’, a formal outfit that has its roots steeped in Steampunk tradition. There is much attention to detail in this suit. A duel fabric jacket of chocolate leather and striped fabric skims the shoulder line, with the same effect carried into the pants. These clever styling details make for a simply stunning outfit. The jacket lapels and collar are decorated with gears and cogs and the pants with buckles and straps. A cream satin edged shirt with frilled jabot collar and brooch completes the look. This outfit could be worn at any suitable formal occasion enabling the wearer to stand out from the crowd and it would certainly delight any Steampunk gentleman worth his cogs.”

Inga Wind for “Claim the Fame” – Week 2 – Formal

For the first week of Claim the Fame the designers had to create a formal attire for male and female and make a description that was read during the TV Show on Metaverse TV. (http://metaversetv.com/blog/2011/04/claim-the-fame-2/)

All designs of the Claim the Fame Shows are available at the KULT District (for surl please click here)

Inga Wind, Designer of Inga Wind Designs, started with “Penelope” and “Bartelby”, a wonderful details and lovely looking couple outfit.

Inga Wind:”Penelope” is an amazing blue formal dress. The basic is made in a non symmetrical manner that makes a bare right shoulder while the left shoulder is decorated with an amazing detailed sculpted prim. The top layer has a very elegant texture that is broken by an awesome lace stripe that runs diagonal from the right upper to the left hip.
The skirt as well continues the non symmetric look. On the left side it goes further down with a wonderful ornamented sheer texture that is framed by an opaque looking satin border and the left is lightly shorter.
Gloves, shoes and the lovely headpiece come with the whole outfit so you have no trouble to match the right color and look.

“Bartelby” was made to match “Penelope” perfectly. The black basic makes a wonderful tailcoat with amazing flexible prims in the back, where the seams carry the same texture that you already saw on “Penelope” as well the little neat bow tie. The white shirt shows off folds and shadows in a very realistic way. Collar, bow tie, cuffs and Sleeves are made of sculpted prims what ad as well a very realistic touch. The black pants complete the elegant male look and the sash round the waist again shows off the amazing blue texture decorated with filigree ornaments and buttons.
“Penelope” & “Bartelby” are the perfect couple for the perfect couple :)”

Head Up Guys…Attention*drumroll*… New Male Suit at R:A:D!!!

Attention guys..lately I catched Redclaw Inshan, designer of R:A:D – Red Alert Design, wearing his newest creation.. and for sure I had to snap it 😉 we ladies always want you guys dressed fashionable 😉 so take a look at the new R:A:D “Dragon Suit”!

The “Red Dragon” is an amazing black suit with red asian ornaments that break the basic black texture in a fantastic way. No more boring black suits for the fashion loving guy 😉 With this suit you definatly will turn heads and show character! The suit basically is made of pants, shirt, waistcoat and jacket… and now…also the shoes are included! If you take a closer look you can see the brilliant texture with the great folds that really give this suit a very realistic look. Not only made with a plain black texture, the lights and shadows are perfect set! It really seems the texture fits every movement and pose… simply awesome!

Lets get rid of the jacket to see the great waistcoat 😉 Made with an amazing detailed texture lightly asian looking, this vest really caught my eye. Like a trade mark for the suit every part of the outfit has one asian ornament on it as we can see here on the left side of the chest in black. The tiger and dragon ornament really makes a great eye catcher on the waist coat.

If you take off the waistcoat… and take a closer look you will see that also the shirt carries different asian ornaments on the chest and the back. If you take a very close look you also can see how filigree the label is embed into the ornament itself 🙂 The shirt also is made with an amazing texture that shows the folds very detailed and perfectly. The light pine-stripes that decorate the short again show the eye for the detail of  the designer Redclaw Inshan. What caught me here, was the neck collar.. usually I know the conventional one..but this one is different.. and as you know I like the “different things” *winks*.  The collar is very cool surrounding the neck fully closed with a little button on the font that continues the button line of the shirt itself :)… the eye for the detail makes the good designs 😉 The pants also carry an asian sign to underline the style of the whole suit ;), so the asian signs go over all parts like a red line 😉

Nearly not to believe even the shoes are part of that great outfit and matching every color the suit comes with! Also decorated with an asian ornament on the top of the shoe this shoes are a totally eye catcher too! For sure the belt that you can see on the next picture also is included to the outfit 😉

For now I saw 3 different colors, the “Red Dragon”, the “Purple Dragon” and the “Silver Dragon”… but I am sure if you really need or want another color… you can contact the designer and see if you can make a good deal for another color as well 😉

All parts of the outfit comes in all layers you need to mix and match every possibility!!!

Overall I would take such a sharp dressed man for a night out with me 😉 If you wanna see all the other great designs made by R:A:D simply take the TAXI (or click HERE http://slurl.com/secondlife/LM%20Maldives/56/198/22) and take a look by yourself..you will see it is worth it 😉
