Times are stressful, but don’t lose your head! But just in case you do, consider this Elmstone Head by Wicca’s Originals as a replacement. The foundation of the Elmstone Head is a diving helmet, which is bolted to the torso instead of a diving suit. Within, it uses an air-tight seal to maintain your brain in a protective casing. Tubes are connected to air passageways to regulate your breath. The left half of the head if a cosmetic shell to give a more human appearance, whereas the right half of the head is all functional. A phonograph part emit your voice and can pick up sounds, a light sensor over the right eye is able to bring in images. An adjustment knob allows increasing or decreasing the light sensitivity for bright or dark environments. Further up, on the brow, switches and and a dial is present to control rest mode or to turn on low-power mode. In the event of a power-down, the wearer can be jump-started using the bolt on the left of the head plate. May take some getting used to. Wicca’s Originals is not responsible for any lapses in humanity or mental stability caused by prolonged use of the Elmstone head. The metal pieces come in eight different color shades and are finely polished for a nice shine, combining a kind of strange beauty with utility.

As I threatened before… here is another steampunk post *winks*

Today it was the super cool “Steam Commander” gacha from Luas, that caught my attention – yes, I know it is around a while, but sometimes things need time to grow until they are ready to post. Do you know that feeling? If you see something and you want it no matter what, even if you have no idea yet what you will do with it? I am sure you do and for me that happens very often, even if I put a duty on myself to not shop things I won’t use anymore. With some designs I simply cannot resist, especially if it is something I do love in general. Steampunk I DO love :p

 

I didn’t use the full gacha set as I am more a boots girl than a pumps girl and so I added one of my favorite steampunk boots from Eudora3D called “Yana”. Since steampunk is kinda a fantasy genre I thought I can add some elf ears from my Eclipse Art Studio, as it gave the whole look a cute touch. I am anyways a friend of mix and match things to give them my own twist :p

More and more I try to built the sets for my pictures on my own, as I can showcase or credit things more precise and properly. But sometimes I just want to go to interesting Second Life places and show my respect for those who built those amazing places for everyone to visit.

Today It was again New Babbage, more precise the Canal District of New Babbage. Did you ever visit New Babbage? If you love steampunk and not yet did – you totally should take time for a little journey.  Even if you are not too much into steampunk, but love the 19th century, this vast Victorian steampunk area is full of airships, clockwork devices, submersibles, and other amazing technology. It’s an ideal place to explore life as it was in the 19th century. New Babbage is part of a sim collective of 12 sims with so many amazing places, that it took me way more than a week to explore and every time I go there, I still find something new – either because I did oversee it before, or they already changed some things again 🙂 If I go there, I really have to try hard to focus on my pictures and not just wander around and just look.

Even if building sets is a lot of fun and I still learn how to arrange things, so that they nit just look like a hot mess, I would not want to miss those journeys that again remind me of the beauty of Second Life.
