“One in a Million Contest”: Mea Culpa – “Shanghai Noon” could grab the win!!!

As well designed for the “One in a million” contest, I would like to showcase the second design Tatanka Kaligawa made for this challenge.

This gown comes with all parts you can see. The hair and shows are part of the outfit and even the amazing jewelry. What I was not able to show on the pics, the gemstones of the jewelry have a very tricky and great texture. It is glittering and glimmering kinda like an animated texture! I rarely saw such before and it really caught my attention. The same texture is repeated on the little balls that are attached on the shoulders. Such a shame that you cannot catch that in a picture but if you make your way to the Mea Culpa Mainstore and get this fabulous gown you can see it πŸ˜‰ as well you can IM me and I will come to the store and show you :). The name already tells some about the idea that was behind that gown – it has a huge asia touch ;). The wonderful fan with the spikes on the right hip and the wonderful flowers that remind on orchids… simply amazing!

The gown can be worn in 3 different versions. I tried to catch all possibilities with keeping one pose to show you what the changes are. Above you can see the first version. For this one you just wear the skirt layer and a special provided leggings under it.

Second possibility would be the so-called mermaid version. For that you just add the prims on the bottom of the skirt combined with the stomach attached prim and the skirt layer.

The last option would be a pants version. For that one you will find an extra made pants layer in your folder that is lightly different to the leggings for the skirt. The incredible hip attachment with the long trains for left and right go well with all versions of them but for sure you can experiment with it as you please. The wonderful shoes are as well part of that outfit as I said and they come with the Mea Culpa HUD to match your skintone perfectly. This outfit really is something special with all the possibilities to wear and all the additions you will get if you purchase that outfit!

Mea Culpa – “Broken Mirror”

Again we have incredible news at Mea Culpa. Designed for the ‘One in a million’ contest “Broken Mirror” was the outfit Tatanka Kaligawa made to enter.

“Broken Mirror” is a incredible, extraordinary, modern and fresh creation. The prims and sculpties are textured with perfection and the layers are beautiful fabrics that needed very filigree and unique work. The awesome glasses, earrings and shoes are as well part of the outfit.

The prims have an amazing shine that makes the whole design very realistic. The shoes – as always for Mea Culpa shoes – have a HUD that is included as well, what lets you match the skin of the bare foot to your own skin tone. As well you can change the toe nail color.

Halloween at Angel Dessous!!!

(Models from left to right: Federica, Draakje, Caoimhe, Catlyn, me, Photographer: Leandra Breen’)

And again soon the time comes, when we all may get crazy and style like hell… Halloween is near! Nando Korobase, owner and designer of Angel Dessous, created a Halloween line for his store :). 5 wonderful Halloween outfits in different styles. What ever party you are going for… if it is the elegant glamour party or the trick or treat fun, with one of the Angel Dessous outfits you are always dressed right πŸ™‚ For the advert on the top, made by the wonderful Miss Leandra Breen, I was allowed to wear the mesh gown “Jenie Halloween”.

So let me start with this one for this post.

The wonderful mesh gown I already had in the ‘normal version’ for my blog. In that new light and bright orange color it is a real eye catcher for every Halloween party. The cute pumpkins on the left side of the gown make a cute Halloween detail as well.

The second creation as well is a very elegant one.

“Claudine” as well is a wonderful long gown. The skirt is wider then for the “Jenie” gown and the fabric is a bit more playful and not that opaque the we saw it at the “Jenie” gown. “Claudine Halloween” comes with those wonderful gloves that are made so detailed that even the end on the upper arm got a lot of attention and some decoration for itself πŸ˜‰

The sweet hat as well is part of the outfit πŸ™‚ The free shoulders leave a lot of room for jewelry or even to show off the cruel Halloween bruises, scars and wounds πŸ˜‰

“Chess Halloween” for me is the more ‘cocktail party’ dress ;). The tight and knee-long dress has a very sexy note. The shoulders and cleavage are free for any kind of jewelry or Halloween decoration πŸ˜‰ The wonderful spinnerets on the texture give a total Halloween look. The incredible upper body part makes a very filigree and light couture touch for me.

A dot on the “I” for sure is the skill that lies on some little pumpkins at the right shoulder.

Last but not least we have “Frances Halloween”. For me the ‘trick or treat’ fun outfit. Not that elegant but still very sexy and cute πŸ™‚ With “Frances Halloween” you definitely will be dressed right for a hot dancing Halloween night without the fear of not behaving well and elegant while you are jumping over the dance floor πŸ˜‰

The short skirt and the leggings are decorated with sweet little skulls with the cross-bones are totally underline the young and fresh style of the outfit. You can choose if you want it even more sexy if you just take off the leggings and wear the skirt only. The sweet bats that fly around you are as well part of the outfit! The collar is decorated with this little cute pumpkins as well and you will be definitely styled right for a Halloween fun night πŸ˜‰

Latenight work before the grand reopening of Prism!!!

In a few hours it is… the grand reopening of Prism. Last minute Journey McLaglen told me she will have an amazing group gift for the opening and I have no the honor to show it to you as a preview ;).

Sure I wanted to show you before the reopening of the store and so I sat down late at night in my office and worked on the pics and the blog. The new outfit is called “Denise” and in a wonderful maroon color it will be the group gift especially for the reopening of Prism.

The whole “Denise” outfit in maroon will be the group gift. A full ready-to-wear outfit with amazing details as a gift… unbelievable but true!

You can wear this outfit with or without the amazing jacket. The striped pants are amazingly textured as well as the filigree ornamented top. The jacket has so many cute details like the buckle and you again can see the awesome skills of Journey McLaglen, as she painted the textures as always per hand on her own. It amazes me every time, the total perfectionism of this textures Journey McLaglen does.

Now you maybe can understand why I sat down that late to finish this post for that amazing news πŸ˜‰ Today it will be the day. At 10AM SLT Prism will reopen the doors and show off the amazing new outfits, designed by Journey McLaglen! Don’t miss it!!!

Out of the press release:

The second dress as well was shown the first time at the BoSL Fashion Week 2011. “Life is a Chess” this incredible outfit is named and as you can see Aleida played with a lot of chessmen on this outfit. The basic colors black and white make a perfect illusion of a living chess board with all the chess pieces on it. The huge headpart carries them as well as the wonderful back train of the dress itself.

The mixture of the opaque chessmen and the floating lace make a perfect combination. The dress is made of a basic black fabric that open on the belly for a little chessboard πŸ˜‰ Really a piece of Art!

The last outfit for today is the “Falling Apart Gown”. AlsoΒ  the first time on the runway at the BoSL Fashion Week 2011. A total eyecatcher is the huge bow head piece and the beautiful sculpted skirt with all this little domino parts at the back.

Miamai – A special dress for a special cause!!!

Monica Outlander:

“What happens when you ask a five year old self ordained Princess “What’s your dream gown, Raven?” Well of course you get the response of “PINK AND SPARKLY AND HEARTS AND PINK AND BUTTERFLIES AND MORE PINK AND BALLERINNAAAAAA!”
Luckily I’m *also* deep down a five year old self ordained Princess really, and my favourite things also happen to be pinksparklyheartybutterflyeyballerina stuff too. And so Raven Sparklefairy ordained that this gown be created, and who am I to argue with royalty? I hope that the little girl inside you gets as big a thrill out of this dress as we both did.

The Raven Sparklefairy gown was also made as a special 100% fundraising item to the Extend A Helping Hand charity now happening; this wonderful event run by Sanura Sakai is providing immediate disaster relief to the victims of the floods that are currently devastating Queensland in Australia.

Why am I involved? There is a family in Australia that have adopted me through Second Life, through a beloved friend of mine and although they aren’t anywhere near the affected state, they are still saddened by the news. And there isn’t a better way to cheer up a little girl than to make her dreams come to life, especially when those dreams result in one of the cheeriest things I’ve ever made.
At the moment Raven Sparklefairy – named after the little girl and her title – is only available at the EAHH location, but afterwards will be added to the permanent Black Label designs at Miamai.
Because the Princess demands it.”
