LOTD 04/22/2016 – Girls just wanna have fun!

TUNES

I have no clue why, but while I was working on the pictures of todays post, the song ‘Girls just wanna have fun’ was stuck in my head :p

The base of the look was the incredible jewelry from Tracei.

In SL it is really hard to find modern casual jewelry. I have a lot of elegant jewelry or as well filigree little jewelry – most of the in either gold or silver – , but if you look for bigger, modern casual chic jewelry it is quite a challenge. When I discovered Tracei, it felt like I would be in heaven!

So long I was looking for some bold but still chic and fashionable jewelry and accessories, that can be mixed and word with casual styles.

Today I would like to showcase 3 parts of the fantastic jewelry collection of Tracei.

For the earrings I went with a pair of “Calista”. The “Calista” earrings are available in 6 monochrome shades and for my post I chose the opal blue ones. The “Calista” earrings are the perfect choice to take you through the actual season and onwards to the desired summer 😉 The earrings are so versatile, as you can use them for casual chic stylings as well as for pimp up your beach wear look or even for an evenings party! With the inbuilt resizer you can size them to your likings and needs. Originally the “Calista” earrings were released at the Lost & Found event but they found their way to the Tracei main store and marketplace now as well.

The wonderful ring and glasses are made by Tracei as well. The “Artio” sunglasses as well can be resized via a resizer and inside the lenses you have amazing reflections, what makes them look amazing realistic. The “Evan Apatite” ring makes the perfect finish for the accessorizing. With the oversized but clean look it makes a statement and can be worn by both genders. I loved the mix of the darn onyx ring with the smooth gem at the top a lot and it kinda brings to gether the casual with the chic thought of the look.

For the outfit I put on one of the latest releases from Asia Rae. The “Polly” top is a real playful looking little shirt with little lines over the shoulders and a long ruffled part on the front that reaches down to the belly button, what adds a very sexy touch in my view 😉

For the pants I decided to go with one of my long time favourites, the “Zipper Skinny” jeans made by Maitreya. I wanted some simple but not boring basics for the clothing, to make the accessories and shoes shine even more.

Talking about shoes…

Today I am wearing the “Echium” heels from Glamistry. Those heels are a definite must have for every girls wardrobe.

Basically you could call them plateau pumps but they are so much more than that! With the amazing add-ons that have a scales look, those heels are simply stunning and so adaptable to so many different styles and looks. The love of the detail of Glamistry again shows with the little studs that hold the add-ons in place and as well with the repeating of the scales fabric on the bottom of the heel. Again the shoes can be purchased in many colors which you can mix and match for the basic shoe, add ons, metals, heel and the sole.

The cool furniture I used for my set, was a mix and match of several items I got at various events. The cute pastel fan I got from Art Dummy which sadly is closed now , the cool shelf was made by Lark and the wonderful ‘boat couch’ I found on an event as well from Stockholm & Lima, one of my favourite brands when it comes to furniture with high details. Sometimes less is more and for fashion posts I really do like a pure and simple surrounding 😉

MVW 2012: National Gown for Miss Spain 2012 by Mea Culpa & Finesmith

Mea Culpa made as well the national gown for Miss Spain 2012. Shena Neox made the 2nd runner-up for Miss Virtual World 2012 in 2 gowns of Mea Culpa. The beautiful evening gown I already showed in an earlier post, today I would like to lead the focus on the national gown of Miss Spain 2012. This gown really combines fashion, style and tradition. Tatanka Kaligawa showed more than once, that he perfectly can mix ethnic, traditional influences with a modern style of fashion and art. “Valentia del Toro” he named his creation and it really honors its name if you take a closer look on the hip attachments. There he worked some of the typical banderillas that are used for the bullfight. The colors are as well the typical spanish with red and black. The clothing layers carry a very filigree ornamented texture, what again shows Tatanka’s skills for making textures. The huge fan in the back with the red tentacles as well let you think on the typical spanish fans that we all know. The “Valentia del Toro” is now available at the Mea Culpa Mainstore together with the evening gown of Miss Spain 2012.  The jewelry again comes from Finesmith. Shena decided to go with the popular “Noir” set using the earrings and the bracelet. I added the collar and the ring as well. For the “Noir” set you have this great menu, yula includes in many of her jewelry, that let you change color and size for each part of the set. The “Noir” set you will find at the Finesmith Mainstore 😉

MVW 2012: Evening Gown for Miss Spain 2012 by Mea Culpa & Finesmith

Mea Culpa did a fantastic job on the Evening gown for Miss Shena Neox, Miss Spain 2012. Black and red are the typical colors we think of, if it comes to Spain. So even for the evening gown Tatanka Kaligawa kept this colors. The basic red color of the dress is broken wonderful by the black fans and applications. The black ornaments are made with such a great eye for the details, where you again can see the incredible skills of Tatanka Kaligawa.  All those different shades of red and even a mixture of different red textures make this gown a piece of art. The jewelry is very filigree and delicate for the earings and necklace, but also the 2 amazing fans for head and hand are part of this amazing set. The fans underline the theme of the dress perfectly. “Hermosa Espina” you can purchase in 2 different colors at the Finesmith Mainstore. Shena Neox made it to the 2nd runner-up in the MVW 2012 contest with the “Devine Decision” gown from Mea Culpa and the “Hermosa Espina” jewelry set from Finesmith.

“One in a Million Contest”: Mea Culpa – “Shanghai Noon” could grab the win!!!

As well designed for the “One in a million” contest, I would like to showcase the second design Tatanka Kaligawa made for this challenge.

This gown comes with all parts you can see. The hair and shows are part of the outfit and even the amazing jewelry. What I was not able to show on the pics, the gemstones of the jewelry have a very tricky and great texture. It is glittering and glimmering kinda like an animated texture! I rarely saw such before and it really caught my attention. The same texture is repeated on the little balls that are attached on the shoulders. Such a shame that you cannot catch that in a picture but if you make your way to the Mea Culpa Mainstore and get this fabulous gown you can see it 😉 as well you can IM me and I will come to the store and show you :). The name already tells some about the idea that was behind that gown – it has a huge asia touch ;). The wonderful fan with the spikes on the right hip and the wonderful flowers that remind on orchids… simply amazing!

The gown can be worn in 3 different versions. I tried to catch all possibilities with keeping one pose to show you what the changes are. Above you can see the first version. For this one you just wear the skirt layer and a special provided leggings under it.

Second possibility would be the so-called mermaid version. For that you just add the prims on the bottom of the skirt combined with the stomach attached prim and the skirt layer.

The last option would be a pants version. For that one you will find an extra made pants layer in your folder that is lightly different to the leggings for the skirt. The incredible hip attachment with the long trains for left and right go well with all versions of them but for sure you can experiment with it as you please. The wonderful shoes are as well part of that outfit as I said and they come with the Mea Culpa HUD to match your skintone perfectly. This outfit really is something special with all the possibilities to wear and all the additions you will get if you purchase that outfit!

Incredible mystical new outfit at Mea Culpa!!!

Mea Culpa brought news to the fashion world… amazing and incredible news for sure 😉   Tatanka Kaligawa designed again a masterpiece of fashion that has its very own character.

“Oppressive Prophecy” comes as a whole outfit except the shoes. It is fully hold in gold and black and the textures are simply amazing. Golden ornaments on a back background always give a very elegant and glamorous touch.

Also the dress is very sexy and stunning with all the parts that show so much skin and who are framed by amazing golden seams! The lower arms are covered by some kinda armshields. ‘The theme is repeated with the 2 huge prims that are attached to the waist and go up from there.

A total eyecatcher is the headpart with the 2 long piercings that hang down in front and male earrings redundant.

The 2 big fan looking decorations on the left hip and in the back are a wonderful contrast to that long spike looking prims on the right side. The flexible train that goes down on the right side from that big back attachment gives a very aerial feeling as it moves wonderful with every step.

Magnificant new Release of Violator – kissed by gems ;-)

Violator OpenerI have the great honor to show you one of the latest releases of Violator designed again by the fabulous soraya Vaher!

The design is named “Bouquet Noir”  – I have to admit it is an outstanding design again. A black very sexy gown that shows off much skin and makes the whole look as you steped out of a very sophisticated, high class painting. It looks too magnificant to be true 😉

Lace and ornaments are the theme of this amazing gown. The front body is covered only by curled black laced ornaments. The upper back is fully uncovered and shows off that a back can be very very sexy^^. The system skirt is made in the same great texture as the upper front. Typical for Violator, soraya added fantastic flexible lace prim atachments and her amazing tentacles! The lace parts look like a big back fan that frames the face and the upper body in a chariming way and the tentacles underline the haute couture touch perfectly! As they were made for the outfit, the  “Scream Of  The Raptor Grid-Tentacle” pums match perfect to keep couture look of the whole design.

The attachments for the skirt are waving round the legs with every step you take and give the outfit a very classy touch, the gloves that are made also of very lovely black ornamented lace underline the formal look.

Over all for me a nother masterpiece of soraya Vaher!

For me it was definatly a haute couture design, so I searched for some matching  jewelry that matches to this amazing creation of Violator. I found some at Gems & Kisses! The “Turandot – Set” was the perfect addition that this gown earned!

Violator with jewelry_lastThe sweet little tentacles of this set were a great addition to the tentacles of the dress and the colors were wonderful to this gown! The set includes earrings, collar, rings, handgloves with a long tentacle(not in the pic) and a great hair piece made of tentacles also.

In this closeup you can see the wonderful texture of the gown…si nice and very high detailed black laced oranments! The look like the caress the upper front of the body and sneak up to the neck…simply stunning!!! A must have for every haute couture loving fashionista!!!

I cannot step aways from the mirror and look at this beautiful Violator Design and the georgios jewelry…but I hope you make your way to Violator and see what they have new…;-)

Early asian spring? Calamity shows how ;-)

I would like to take you to the Calamity Mainstore that you can see all that lovely amazing designs…but I am sure we would overload the store if we all run there at the same time 😉 So I’s happy to present you one of the great Calamity designs called ” If you want!

Calamity - If you want 001

This dress impressed me in a very special way. A great black and white dress that for me has a light asian touch what is underlined with a fan and a beautiful umbrella that comes with.

Calamity - If you want 002

The nice filigree, black chopstick with trails  (head piece)  is part of the outfit also as the fan and the umbrella. The top of this amazing design is very made tight and with a sexy white seamed whole at the right side in the front. The long skirt looks very expensice but it  is only one great made attachment. The look of this prim skirt makes you thinking that it is 2 because of the black and white “underskirt” and the black open “overskirt”..but as i said..only one attachment. The fan and the chopstick made the light asian touch for me so I added a matching hair 😉

Calamity - If you want 003

Here we can see the sweet umbrella that is also part of that outfit and the short skirt version. The attachment of the short skirt is also included.

For me definatly it was not the last time I was at the Calamity Mainstore! Maybe I can show you another great outfit of Calamity soon 😉
