Wicca’s Wardrobe: LOTD 09/23/2013 – A Tribute to Marlene Dietrich

Some time ago I made my way over to the Colabor88 as they had their anniversary. Many items and designs were there and the decisions were super hard, but I forced my self not to overstep the budget, that I set for myself for this shopping trip 😉

I found the “Razzle” vest from ISON and I thought this could go perfect with the “Crew Skinny” pants from Ariskea, which I found on a shopping trip in the past and never used until now. As well at the Colabor88, I found the “Daisy” hair style from [monso]. The basic look brought me on the vintage look and in the end to the Marlene Dietrich tribute 😉 .

So I added the “British Lofers” from Redgrave and the “Lana” top and tie and the “Valerie” blouse from LeeZu.

To built the ‘stage’ for the picture I had the honor to be helped by Redclaw Inshan, who made me the stairs the lights and the surrounding 🙂

The poses I used are made by myself and they are available as part of the “Swag Casual” set at my store Wicca’s Wardrobe.

Today I was in Malicia Pythons office to take a look at her bloggers list since she asked me if I maybe could help a bit sorting and finding new bloggers for her brand. I went over her desk… and you know how desks of genius minds look… to find the list. While I was looking a picture fell into my hand with some hand scribbled note that Malicia did. Since one of my most huge weakness is being curious, I had to take a closer look…

UNBELIEVABLE!!! The note said that Malicia will have a special weekend sale for makeup and nails!?!

She looked at me wondering what I did here and I explained that I was looking for the bloggers list and tried to make an innocent face. Usually she discovers in between seconds if I did something I should not have

but she seemed to be already tired since it was way after her bedtime and she just forgot something in the office so I could get away with my innocent look and a secret in my back picket of my jeans 😉

Some Steampunk with LeeZu, EMO-tions & Finesmith

Today I have the great pleasure to show you one of the latest releases of LeeZu. The “Deklannche” top is one of the latest additions to the new LeeZu Mainstore. I was looking for a styling for my LeeZu shift today and I wanted to use the “Deklannche” top in a different way. The top comes in various colors and each one has a HUD to it so you can even change and customize the fabric of the snake skin looking part.

There is no alpha to it since it has so many parts where you can look through. An extra shadow layer as well is part of the top and you can use it if you are not running the SL shadows. The lines and the cream and brown colors brought me on that steam punk idea and I looked though my LeeZu folder what else I could add to make that imagination get real that built up in my head more and more. The “Heather” hot pants are very well mesh made short pants that totally matched the top and did not drag too much focus off the top 😉 I looked a while at it and decided I need to find something top cover my belly since it looked too much girly like instead of what I had in mind. I looked though all my LeeZu tops until I remembered the “Lea Vivendi Pants” those pants are very high waisted and the waist part was just  the part I was looking for. To cover my legs I chose for the “LaLun” tights and for the shoes I decided to go with my absolute favourites from LeeZu, the “Piccadilly Overknee Boots”.

Now the base for the look was created and I had to find some cool accessories who underline and complete my imagination. I remembered the “Time Piece” of Finesmith. The amazing headpiece with all those little clocks hanging down from the branches. The cute butterflies make a wonderful contrast to the brown steam punk look. To make a smooth look for the part that is connected to the head yula Finesmith added some organic looking parts to give the whole head piece a touch of life, that totally makes that amazing contrast to the rest of the outfit and the scenery I chose for snapping.

The hair is made by Mirja Mills, owner and designer of EMO-tions. The “Jade” hair style is made of cool dreadlocks that are bind together to a kinda up-do look even if they have not a super elegant look, but I did not need an elegant up-do for this look so the “Jade” hair was just the perfect addition 😉 .

For the jewelry I wanted just some bracelets that underline the style and not get too much into the focus. I chose the “Wanderer Bracelets” from League. The wooden pearls seemed to be the right choice for me.

The skin still is my “Wicca” skin that Malicia Python, owner and designer of Silken Moon, made for me, but in one of the skin tones she made for her new Eclipse line. The “Lumee” tone is a very light and sophisticated tone and I asked Mal if I could have one version of my “Wicca” skin as well in that amazing pale tone. So if you want to try that amazing, smooth and classy and elegant lumee tone you just ned to try one of the amazing demos of the Eclipse skins at Silken Moon 😉 .

Do you know the feeling if you think that the whole world is against you and every day something new stupid or bad happens… that’s how I feel lately. My doggie was bitten badly and since then she turned into a psycho after being my angel for 10 years. She seems to have a bad trauma now and it will need a lot of time and love to let her recover from that. My RL moving as well went not that smooth as I hoped and that holds me back a lot from being online and blogging. Many more small things added up to a point where I felt no power anymore. But as always it has to go on and so you mobilize a last time all what you have left and throw yourself into something that’s called life ;).

Yesterday finally I made 85% of my movement to the new apartment and so I just have 2 weeks left till I finally can leave this place here and start over new in my new appartment*happy dance*

I had a few time left last night and so I snapped a few pics so that I at least can blog something, after being so slow for a few weeks 😉 .

Today I would like to showcase my look I made for my GizzA workshift. The new “Burlesque Corset” got blogged quite a few times with amazing and beautiful pictures out of the Burlesque genre, so I wanted to to something different. With the red and gold version of the “Burlesque Corset” I came across the idea of a fashionable cadet look. I added the pants from the “Lordly” outfit as well from GizzA and the “Epaulette” shoulder parts that are available in various colors at the GizzA Mainstore from one of the gachas. The necklaces and chains are part of the “Epaulette” shoulder parts, so I skipped any kind of necklace to not overload the whole look. The amazing “Asia” bracelets with the leather parts, chains and watches were a good addition to complete my cadet look.

To add a female and sexy touch I put on the “Tall Leather Thigh Boots” from Slink. Then I wanted to wear one of those berets that make it even a bot more cadet looking. I looked all over but I could find none that matched in color nor did I like the shape of the most. I started a few ago to experiment with mesh and sculpties for designing clothes and I remembered that in one of those huge packs of sculpts there was a beret somewhere… ok.. i just will make my own one. I tried until I was satisfied with the texture, light and shadows and… tataaaaa my own beret that matched the look!

Couture News from Pure Poison

During the “The 24” event I had the honor to walk a show for Pure Poison. That show brought the label of Shaleene Kenin back to my mind and I realized again how amazing the designs are. Pure Poison made a whole new Couture Collection and today I would like to show case the “Absinthe” gown.

The black version of the “Absinthe” gown is an firework of textures and an amazing mix of modern looking extravagant prim parts. The slin gown is covered by this amazing straps and lines that as well go up and decorate the shoulders. I just chose the black version, but you can get the “Absinthe” gown in other colors as well 😉 .

The wonderful head comes from LODE and is called “Bitter Sweet”. For the hair I used one of my new favourite hairs from booN. The jewerly are parts of the “Noya” set of Finesmith. I just skipped the necklace as the dress was alrealy making the cleavage relativly busy 🙂 . The wonderful makeup, which so perfectly catches the shape of the hat is the “Bird” from White Widow.

Wicca’s Wardrobe: LOTD 08/31/2013 – Glamour Punk?

Today again it was one on of the days where I did not plan to style something special… it just had happened during I sorted my ineventory ;).

Not too long ago I had a little chit chat with Azlyn Vaher, owner and designer of Yasum. I got her amazing
“Face Armor” mask, that she put in the Gacha Fair and I was lucky to pull the rare one while I was gambling at those gatchas. I had no special idea for that mask in that moment and sometimes things even get better when they lay around for a while, just like cheese or a good red wine 😉 . Usually I do not sort those “I do not know yet” items in my inventory right away, I just leave them be where they are so every time when I open my inventory, I stumble over them and so, I keep them in mind better, than when I sort them in where they belong to.

I put on that mask and while was wearing it, I kept sorting all the amazing stuffs I got and those I already blogged and was too lazy to sort in yet. That brought me to the amazing, sweet “Kitty Skirt” as well from Yasum. This short dress really is a cute base for a smart styling. I chose the black version with the light red accents and the red tartan pocket in the front. The “Kitty Skirt”  is top less so it starts right under the chest, so I  had to find a top for it.

I was trying different kinds and in the end my decision fell on the “Lourdes” top from LeeZu. It is not a very new item of LeeZu but one that I really like and already was wearing a few times in all of its colors. The “Lourdes” top was perfect with the huge ruffles over the chest and the one line that leads up to a beautiful neck collar wich is ornaments with little flowers. The short dress and the ruffled top reminded me on my youth and the punky styles I loved so much, so decided to go towards that direction. With some Vivienne Westwood in my mind because of the tartan pattern I wanted to add some leggings since she is really well known for all her socks and leggings stuff and that she combines different fabrics that do not get together on the first view. First I tried some socks and ripped stockings but that became way to trashy for that what I wanted to go for. I tried more the cute side of tights and socks but that as well was not that what I was looking for. Again the choice fell on one of my long time favourites from LeeZu, the “Cat Tights”.

To add a bit more I put the “Knee socks” with the little holes over the tights. To not go towards the cute look too much I added the “Triumph” boots made by [GOS]. The heavy boots gave a good contra to the sweet ruffles of the “Lourdes” top. The amazing tattoo comes from White Widow. The “Mission” tattoo has 2 options one low and one normal. I decided to go with the normal one as I remembered some cool bangles from Xplosion I got long ago. The red leather together with the silver metals and that 80s look of them, just perfect matched the look. The huge tunnels and the piercings for the ears, are part of the mesh ears from Mandala. With the HUD that comes with them yo can recolor the tubes, metals and gems to match your outfit.

Now the question came towards a difficult point again… wich hair to choose? I went through my hair folder, wich is not that small. One after another and none really wanted to match. The I came across a folder from KMADD. I am not quite sure where that was from, but I remember it was a special event. In that folder was a male shape and some other things and the “Seneca” hairstyle. Probably it was meant for a male avatar but if you know me for a while you know, I do not care about that facts too much, I just wear what I like 😉

A last look into the mirror… perfect… I feel like years ago again 🙂

Silken Moon made a wonderful new skin not too long. The face of the Eclipse line is called “Diva” and she is in my view one of the best skins Malicia Python owner and designer of Silken Moon, ever made.

What caught my attention were the lips. Malicia made totally new lips for the “Diva”! Together with those wonderful realistic looking eyes and the cute-looking nose it is a wonderful addition to the Eclipse line.

When she asked me if I would like to pose for the vendor of her new skin I had not long to think about it – certainly I would like to!

As I arrived at Mal’s place, where she had rezzed the background she gave me the new skin in band new and very special tone. The new “Ivory” skin tone she created is a very sophisticated looking skin tone. For all who love the already existing skin tones of the Eclipse line – no worries the new “Diva” skin as well will be available in bisque, brulee, lumee, bousee and a special colored version, he ivory tone is just a brand new addition.

The “Diva” skins comes with amazing new lipsticks and even in the demo you have one free lipstick!

On top you will get a SLINK applier HUD for your mesh hands and feet to make

I love to pose for Mal’s vendors as she always gives me amazing challenges. I asked her what she had in mind in general for the “Diva”. She told me a few things and I just started styling. First I put on the “4 Minute” jacket on, since I know that Mal and me have a close liking for several things and I thought she might like it and she did ;). For the jeans, I chose my absolute favourite jeans from R:A:D, a brand what does sadly not exist anymore, but the designer is still around and I am sure, that if you really like them, Redclaw Inshan will sell them privately to you ;). Now the jacket and the jeans made a more casual look the Mal wanted it. She wanted a bit of a posh look for the vendor. I thought about it and remembered a wonderful blouse, wich I got ages ago at bijou. I am not even sure if the brand still exists but this blouse is like an evergreen for me. For the shoes I decided to go with the “Bonnie” boots from Redgrave, to underline the amazing feminine attitude that the skin has. For the hair I did know I want something short but as well it should not be too smooth and tight. I remembered the “Tidal” from exile, again a male hairstyle, but I do not care about that anyways if I matches my face and my stylings ;). After we looked at the styling we still missed something and all of a sudden I got the idea to put on a corset what should go with the blonde hair, the jacket buttons, the bracelets, the ornaments on the huge bag and the golden earrings, as well certainly with the skin tone.

After Malicia finished the pictures we had to laugh a lot after she said the outcome of the picture remembered her of Lady Diana :p .

So take a look for yourself and try the demo… like I said the demo has a wonderful free lipstick in it 😉

Summer Goodbye with Epic, Maimai & Finesmith

The weather becomes colder again and the kisses of the sunbeams are not that hot anymore. But still, we have some days with more sun than rain and they can be warm enough for a last journey to the beach ;)

That’s why Dahriel and me decided we wanna have some fun at the beach with Epicosity designs.(see the full post at: http://crazyconnection.wordpress.com/2013/08/30/crazy-connection-already-goodbye-for-the-summer/)

I have to admit, I never heard about Epicosity before, but Dahriel was talking so good about them that I became curious. I was really surprised as a while later I got a very nice and kind IM and some boxes sent by the designer. Early Christmas! I ran home and unpacked them and I have to admit Dahriel was right. The amazing “Monokini” that comes in 3 different color pattern versions really is something special. The mesh bathing suit comes with a HUD for each set and you can change the textures and colors in a lot of different parts and versions. I started playing around a bit and finally chose the teal/blue color. I wanted to go for a light elegant look, as I loved the vintage touch of the “Monokini”. So I added the “Crystal Reality”. This jewelry from Finesmith usually comes with a full dress, but I loved the shape and color so much and it was the perfect addition for this look for me.

The hair was one of the releases of Miamai for the Hairfair 2013. The teal colored flower with the white pearl in the middle totally catched the vibe I wanted to have to my look.

As the question came to the poses he asked me if we could not use some of our own poses since we both make poses now. I was very grateful for this idea and that he asked for that and started looking through my self made poses.

Sure he has a wider range to choose from since he has his amazing huge store for quiet some time, but we managed to find one each of our own creations that in the end matched together ;) .

Today I would like to lead your view on one of the latest releases from deviousMind (!dM). For “The 24” event, Chandra Meehan created a wonderful and sexy dress called “Yve”.

“Yve” is part of kinda a new mini collection of deviousMind. The thing that combines all of the new designs are the ivy petals that are used for ornaments, decoration and parts of the textures. The “Yve” dress has a super cool feature. If you purchase one at “The 24” event, where it is sold as an exclusive design, you will get a hell lot of options with that dress.

As I unpacked my “Yve” dress, i first looked for the HUD, as I saw at the advertise, that it should be color change. Since the dress it self is mesh made, I thought you can change the texture and color by a HUD. But there was none and as I anyways was talking to Chandra, I asked her and she told me to just touch the dress… I was like… “oook but mesh you usually cannot touch, if it is rigged” but she just answered that if SL gives me trouble by touch only, I should just right click it and choose the option touch. I was very surprised after I touched the dress and got a menu. With the menu you can easy recolor the dress to your likings. The “Ivy” dress comes in various sizes so you can make sure you get one to fit your shape. As well you will find 2 version of each size for the dress, one metallics and one metallic material, where you can choose from. This dress is really a must have for all who dare to be different 😉

You still have a few days left to get one of the “Yve” at the “The 24” event, but hurry only 100 are available and there is not too much left!

The “Dream” hairstyle and the “Wild Garden” necklace are one of the latest releases of EMO-tions. The hair style is perfect for any elegant or even fashionista look. The ears are free and you can showcase perfectly earrings and jewelry ;). The “Wild Garden” is a wonderful necklace of the mesh jewelry collection of EMO-tions. With the filigree lines in black and silver and the little decorations, that are added on them it made the perfect finish for my today’s look.
