Family sometimes grows unexpected…

… and if that happens like that, it is the best that can happen *smiles*

Today I had company for my shoot from a person I wanted to do a picture together in forever… my cute, evil, goth, kawaii daughter Shy. I never had a daughter in Second Life before the more I was surprised as some when Shy was in my IMs calling me “Mamasan” – I had to smile all over.

I know Shy for quite some time and I always adored her style and the way how she does her pictures. It always was a mixture of cute and creepy or cute and goth and always with a touch of kawaii. I never saw a “goth-kawaii” style in such a perfection before. She used to blog for Wicca’s Originals in the past and had to stop some when. We kinda lost us on our path through Second Life until I met her again on a Vernisage where her “Daddy”- Sir Skye Nefekalum –  had one of his art pieces – I was invited as well and when I saw her again it felt like we never stopped talking. I could not resist to ask her if she would consider to come back to our blogger team as I love her artwork so much. When she said she would think about since her Second Life as well changed again a lot, I already was happy about that. You can imagine, how it felt when she said she would be ready to come back and use our creations for her incredible awesome pictures again!

The more it did honor me and made me happy when she called me Mamasan. So she became my first Second Life daughter EVER 🙂 She is crazy, cute and sometimes even creepy always in the right balance and I hope this picture wasn’t the last we did together!

Me, myself and I

Recently I was asked, why you never do casual anymore? Are you only going to do scary and creepy pictures now? Are you going to give up your versatileness?

The simple answer is… NO!

But what I gave up is to let others dictate me what I am doing or how I am showcasing things on my blog *winks*

I am in Second Life nearly 13 years now and I tried a lot of things on my blog. When I started I thought I have to have as many posts a day as I can pump out on one day and that 7 days a week. I had times where I ran though 5 to 7 “posts” a day – Posts in terms of I do a quick snap shot and post a style card. That didn’t satisfy me after some time and I started to write something to every picture. First the facts about the clothing, like what kind of HUDs, how many colors or what special features they had. Later even a little bit of a review about what I liked most of the items and designs I was given to blog. Again I felt at some point that that wasn’t the only thing what I liked to do and I dared to write a little bit about things in SL that bothered me, or about certain topics to explain them better as I had a feeling they were misunderstood and underestimated a lot. That I still like to do and sometimes my blog even was a place to vent for me and write things just off my soul to get rid of them. In my view a blog has to be more than just a style card. If I just would like to have style cards nowadays, I would just blog on Flickr I guess. But since I usually need or want more than one picture to showcase my styling, to as well highlight the details, I decided to keep my blog and continue to write what comes to my mind or sometimes even just post lyrics and tunes if I feel like it or have nothing to say.

 

Today I really felt kinda casual, or better I felt like doing my way of casual styling. When I showed my look to a friend and said I felt casual, she laughed her ass of and said: “Yeah, maybe for you that would be casual… could you ever imagine to go out like that?” My answer was: “Oh yeah… I did that in my 20s”. she stopped talking and asked if I would be serious… yes, I am serious. I was a little rebel in my RL as well – probably I am still one, but my temper might be more adult now as it used to be *snickers*

So lets take a look at the style… I wanted to use the “Fianna” face tattoo from Nefekalum Tattoos, parts of the “Voodoo Dolls Backpack and Mouthdoll” gacha set and the brand new “Infernal Claws” from .:E.A.Studio:. , the “Pepper Ankle Boots” from [Gos] and the “Heavy Duty Collar” made by CerberusXing. So I put that all on and looked at it thinking how the hell I could make this work as a look that I would call casual…

Maybe lets take a closer look at the “basic” parts I just had put on and then go from there. The “Pepper Ankle Boots” from [Gos] are a perfect pair of shoes for many kind of genres you want to style for. You can wear them to jeans, skirts, dresses or even to lingerie. With the edgy tip of the shoes and the huge, heavy heel it is very versatile as it combines the smart with the elegant for me. With the possibility to choose from many leather colors as well as from metal, shiny colors it allowed a huge range of use.

The “Voodoo Doll Backpack” is part of a gacha from .:E.A.Studio:. it is one of the rares and comes with a huge HUD to customize it for different colors and outfits. It is designed to wear it over one shoulder with a little buckled strap. The “Infernal Claws ” you will find at the 3rd Edition of the Fetish Fair at the booth of .:E.A.Studio:. until the 27th of December. You can choose if you want to wear only the rings or the nails or the whole set of it. With the HUD you have the possibility to color the metals and leather, the claw itself on the middle finger, the rings and the you even can color and hide all the nails separate for each finger. An amazing set and a must have for every Gothic wardrobe!

The “Heavy Duty Collar” from CerberusXing lives up to its name. It is a heavy iron collar, which lays around your neck with an attached leash in the front. It really has a martial look but I do love the feeling when a heavy cold metal collar gets locked around my neck *grins wickedly*. The face tattoo, even better the Face art comes from Skye Nefekalum for his brand Nefekalum Tattoos. It is very special and for me it did support the martial look of the collar perfectly as it as well is very harsh and dark.

To me that makes a perfect “Wicca Casual” and even if I am aware of, that this might not be a casual for everyone… this is my blog, my Second Life,  my personal fun and creativity and the spot where I can be 100% me, myself and I *winks*

The last Key… Do you dare?

Scary moments and moods! Again it was time for some creepy and horror inspired pictures *snickers*

This time it was the cool face tattoo from CURELESS[+] and the uber cool backdrop from CerberusXing that inspired me to do something dark and wicked. The “Crucifix Corridor” backdrop reminded me about a scene of the movie “The Nun” which lead me to 2 or my favorite horror movie series – Insidious and Conjuring with all its sequels and prequels. I never could decide which ones I loved more and so a little bot of all of them went into todays pictures.

You cannot make a picture with just a back drop and some face modifications, I thought and tried to put together a look that would work with what I wanted to showcase. Instantly the super awesome “Morgane Ribbon Heels” from [Gos] came to my mind. The were released for this month round of FaMESHed and I instantly fell in love with the way the ribbons reached down till the tip of the pumps. As always you get a wide range of colors with the HUD and as well the possibility to color the show and the ribbons, plus a few other details separately. I tried to show you a few possibilities above, but certainly you get way more than you can see up there 😉

For my outfit I chose and outfit I saw at the last round of ROMP, made by AsteroidBox and combined with the cool bracers from CerberusXing made the perfect look but still it looked a little bit too ‘cute’ for what I was looking for. With the cool horns from E.V.E and the evil hair from no.match I finally was satisfied with my look for what I had in mind. For the poses, always when I want to do something creepy and unusual, I went with the poses from Poseidon. I already wrote about them a couple of times, but I just cannot stop telling how awesome they are if you are looking for something that shows some action, or motions or something out of the mainstream looking.

I hope you enjoyed my little key keeper as much as I did and I will no go and watch some of the mentioned movies… maybe to get some more ideas for dark fantasy inspired pictures *wicked grin*

Most of the time we see humans being scared about undead or demons in movies and pictures… what about the thought of the undead fear the living to enter their world? That was the basic idea of todays post when I saw the “Deadly End Door”, a collaboration between CerberusXing and Insomnia Angel. Even if the hands are bloody and creepy that try to open that door from the other side, I had that imagination that this would not be the door to hell more the door from hell *snickers*

So lets take a look what the sweet little demon is wearing while she tries to hold the door from the living that try to enter her empire…

When I saw the “Anatomical Venus” gacha from CURELESS [+], I instantly did know, that I wanted to make a picture with it. Like so often, the right scenery wasn’t coming to my mind instantly and so it took a while until I did know what I wanted to do with it. When I saw the “Deadly End Door, it just fell all in place. First I thought the door would be just a part of a whole background set, but when I got it i saw it was only the door, but the colors matched the “Crucem Inverso” backdrop so perfectly that I just combined them. The huge skirt wasn’t easy to pose so I had to find poses that are not moving too much down from the hips, but as well are not too boring upwards from the hips. As so often I ended up just making some poses to express what I wanted to 😉 The whole scenery and outfit had some rich, brown tones and I wanted to add some more dramatic vibes to it. That was why I chose for red and green lights and some green smoke for the post processing of it. Even if Halloween is over already, I take the full advantage of the darker season to play with my visions and imaginations *winks* So that still won’t be the last post in that category as I really love the dark side more and more and we will see where it does push me for my next posts…

“Am I Beautiful Yet?”
I’ve blinded my eyes with ornament. Replaced my limbs with ornament. Cut out my organs for ornament. Am I beautiful yet? I can dance for you. Watch me. I will never stop dancing. Never stop watching. Never. Stop. Or else.

For the the theme of ‘Freak Show’, I’ve put together this circus ballerina. Her limbs are wrapped in gold with pink accents, as well as barbs, some tinted with blood. Ballet is known for being brutal in its precision, and this type of decoration carries the metaphor visually.

Her face is obscured by a mask of similar style. Floral designs, especially that of the thorny rose, are prominently featured here almost like a religious icon. It is perhaps one of the most eye catching pieces of the style, in part representing her inability to see the world for what it is. She is blinded by her preconception of what beauty is, and is unable to appreciate the world around her.

Finally to pull it all together, the most unsettling piece is her torso body mod. Many strive for an hourglass shape, but the tragic ballerina has assumed a literal hourglass, complete with animated sands. Yet another clever visual metaphor representing the years of life she’s shaved off by taking her pursuit of the beauty ideal to unhealthy lengths and destroying parts of herself in the process.

The entire style combines fragility, obsession, suffering, and horror into a form of visual storytelling, in order to tell a very tragic story.

As stated above, the look was made for a special show hosted by Madd Modelz on the amazing “Uri Jefferson’s Freakshow” sim (SURL). We all had to write our own descriptions for our styles and presentation and I had in mind what I wanted to say but since I am not a native English speaker, it mostly doesn’t sound as I want it to be. This time I had great help from a dear friend – Tour Blanche, the partner of my sweet sister Consuela Blanche. He is a god with words and made my idea sound so amazing, that I could not just have it for the show. I wanted them to be visible for longer than the few minutes of the show and he allowed me to post them here on my blog. Thank you for that Tour ♥

Destructive… Sometimes…

Today I am very happy to do my first post as an official CerberusXing blogger. I was dreaming of that for quite some time now and now it finally happened *dances around*. I love the creations and designs of CerberusXing for… I guess in forever. He has a very special way of creating his designs and his texture skills are incredible. I rarely saw a better leather than in CerberusXing’s designs. I love his sadistic, morbid take on and that he always dares to stretch the boundaries from modern dark fashion to a nearly haute macabre look sometimes. He isn’t afraid to even go for stronger morbid thoughts or sometimes for fun stuff when you do not expect it. I admire the variety of styles his creations can be used for, but with always having his very personal trademark on them – even with no label on it, you easily can recognize a CerberusXing design.

For my first post I decided to go with a mix and match of my favorite items from CerberusXing. The “Enochian Succuba” outfit including the boots and the choker, the “Mucronate Top” as well as the cool “War Fan” and the “Tritinium Clave Collar, which is a collaboration of CerberusXing and The White Crow. The collar, which right gets plunged into your skin and flesh comes with an amazing tattoo layer that supports exactly that and makes it look more realistic. The bar-code reminds me of some kind of registration of a slave on a certain website 😉

If you look at the picture below you can see another extraordinary creation of CerberusXing – the “Ostium Impaler Ears”. I am a huge friend of unusual mesh ears and with the long stretched ear hole and the piercings these ears have exactly that what it takes. You are able to color the bottom of the earlobe like a tattoo and that heavy earing shows you why it is stretched that way 😉

For a cool look you need the perfect makeup as well and so I wanted to use one of the newest tattoos from Nefekalum Tattoos. His tattoos are more like artwork on your skin. Sometimes you get the feeling, that he has a slightly destructive adder which he puts in some of his creations and the same I feel sometimes with CerberusXing. I  am not saying that this is a bad thing! I have this adder as well and I really enjoy it, to live that part of me in SL more than in RL – that really balances me out sometimes and keeps me more healthy in RL*giggles*
