Crazy Connection: The question that matters

CC AD 1

The question that matters.

Sirena was a young woman leading a carefree life. She had a good job, no worries and the men courted her, though she did not really care for them. All in all, she did not really care for anyone but herself, using the same excuses we all tend to use. “That is none if my business.” “What can I do about it?” or “I don’t want to interfere.”

She lived close to the graveyard and when the weather was fine, she took a shortcut there from the bus home. One evening, she saw a woman on a bench, crying bitter tears. The woman looked at her, but Serena quickly looked away. When she was about to leave the graveyard an old witch – by the looks of her – stepped into Serena’s way and asked straight away “Why didn’t you ask the woman why she cried?” Serena was a little scared and mumbled, I thought she was mourning, this is a graveyard after all. What can I do about her grief?”

The old witch looked at her sadly and shook her head. “Dear girl, you need a lesson in compassion. I hex you not to be able to leave the graveyard until someone shows you the sympathy you denied that woman.”

CC AD 3

Serena did not know if to laugh or to be scared, the old woman had disappeared as sudden as she showed up. Serena headed for the exit but ran into an invisible wall. She tried to get out at another spot, but to no avail.

Whenever she tried to talk to someone, they ignored her. After a while the place took its tribute, her eyes burnt out from crying over her own sad fate, her nails grew into claws, in short, she became a fearful sight. People started to run away from her thinking her a demon of some sort.

One day, when she was sitting numbly on a gravestone mulling over her fate and feeling the pain of being ignored, she finally learned her lesson. For the first time, she did not cry out of self-pity, but for shame and pity for all the people she had ignored all her life.

Suddenly she heard a warm male voice behind her. “Excuse me, can I do anything for you?” She felt the curse break and when she turned round she saw a man, just like herself smiling at her. “I think you can go home now.” He said.

Wicca’s Wardrobe: Winter Dreams

Miamai, EMO-tions, Finesmith Full

This week we had a nother wave of snow in germany and I was grumbling a lot for having the black card of being the one who had to clean the pavement in front of my house from the snow. So I thought I can try to get a better mood for snow, when I make some dreamy winter mood images in SL 😉

I started with the “Carley” gown from Miamai. The long shoulder free gown was perfect as a basic for the little winter beauty. For the even more elegant touch I added the bolero of the new “Riga” outfit from SoliDea FoliEs.

The hair is one of the latest releases from EMO-tions called “Solitude” and for the jewelry I decided to go with the “Nur” set from Finesmith.

The makeup comes from a lady I know for a long time and she came back to SL with her new brand – The Makeup Artist. I am talking about Talyia Tarber. I combined the “Angelic Lace Candy” with the “Black Female Swan” and added my favourite lipstick from Silken Moon, “Wicca Lips Lead”.

For snapping the pics I remembered a place where Natzuka brought me once for a shoot The wonderful ambience of the alirium sim, with the pink colors and the snow just made the illusion of a winder dream complete for me 🙂

My personal favourites of MVW2013 – Formal Gown of Italy 2013 by SoliDea FoliEs

MVW 2013 Italy Formal full

Miss Virtual World 2013 – Again BoSL showcased an amazing event on December the 15th 2013, with the finale of the MVW 2013 contest. Many countries were represented by amazing ladies and it was really an exciting event. Designers and models worked together for their 2 final looks. One evening gown and one national costume for each lady. Every year when I saw the MVW finale it was an exciting moment to see the results, that designers and models worked on for so many weeks. Last year I took the challenge to make a full catalogue of all the gowns and costumes. The idea must have inspired some bloggers this year and they started to do that for the MVW 2013 designs. I decided for my own not to do the same again and just would like to showcase my personal favourites. First I thought about to do my personal top 12, but then I figured that I like more than 12 and just thought about doing all the ones that really caught my attention in no particular order

:)

The italian community was always very strong represented in many MVW challenges… we had Mimmi Boa 2009 winning the crown, Mavi Beck in 2010 in the top 10, Angels Milena in 2011 in the top 12 and Anna Sapphire as winner of the MVW 2012 crown and again Italy was able to place on the winner stairs with a 1st runner-up in 2013 again!

The wonderful formal gown for Natzuka Millandrovic, Miss Italy 2013, was made by Mila Tatham, genius designer and owner of SoliDea FoliEs. What caught my eyes most of this dress was the incredible skirt. All those ruffles on the first view look like they would have been added totally confused… but if you take a second look you can see the incredible idea of this ruffle attachment. The wonderful bodice is covered with little white, silver and blue gemstones and the blue belt make a wonderful accent on the white gown. The ruffles are brought back above the side of the chest. For me the combination of white and blue with all this ruffles and gems made a perfect formal gown for a MVW runner-up 😉

Wicca’s Wardrobe: Out of the Dark

Out of the dark - Full

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyrdPtEHKzE]

Out of the dark - Half

For today’s styling … I do not even know what I was doing.. I looked through my inventory and kinda sorted it. For me that means, I wear some parts, if I cannot remember what it was and then I rename the folders before I sort them in, so I can operate my inventory a bit easier 🙂 .

While I was wearing certain stuff,  attaching and detaching I always left some parts on. Suddenly my sweet brother Dahriel IMed me telling me that he created new lashes and sent them to me. I unpacked them to look and attached them to the stuff I still had left on. All of a sudden by caming around I saw my whole look and loved it *giggles*.

So the last folders I looked through must have been mainly Miamai as I am wearing different parts of the new “Unfold” collection. The mesh head-piece is called “Corelia” and with the wonderful ornament on the top it gives the whole look of a cool high fashion style for me. The collar part is connected to the headpiece so you have no trouble wearing both to the same time 🙂 The wonderful “Inferna” mesh gloves with the long sharp nails are as well from Miamai. The mesh combination of skirt, pants and boots is a wonderful possibility to wear all 3 parts to the same time without disturbing each other. The whole ensemble of this 3 is called “Quee” and is available in 2 different colors.

Now back to the lashes from Dahriel, owner and designer of PosESioN. He made the “Liceo” lashes paired with the “Liceo” mask that makes that wonderful spiky head attachment. I liked the combination of the long black spiky swirls and the decorations of the “Corelia” headpiece.

Since I did not wanna add a top to the whole styling, I  searched for a solution to hide my private bits. I did not wanna go with boring nipple tapes so I thought about what I could do. I remembered that Belle Roussel, owner and designer of Chop Zuey, had some wonderful “Nose Diamonds” in her christmas gifts. I quickly reattached them to my chest and made them a bit bigger to cover all that was needed ;).

Last but not least  I would like to get the view on the skin. This skin is the actual groupgift of Silken Moon. Malicia Python released her new skin line and she was so generous to make a special makeup and put it out as a gift in her group. The group joining is 100L$ but if you see what you get and just imagine what you will get in the future it is really worth it. The “SM Eclipse Bisque Happy New Year” skin has a light tone paired with deep red lips and a fantastic eyeliner. The body is so delicious made that it really is tempting to have as much skin shown as you can :p . So run and grab that wonderful Happy New Year gift of Silken Moon before it is gone 😉 .

Miamai Horns Full

Usually I hear music while I am doing pics… for this series it were this

TUNES

Miamai released a wonderful new collection and today I would like to show my first styling with this amazing new creations of monica Outlander.

For this post I combined 2 different pieces of the new “Unfold” collection, the “Vaalith” outfit and the “Silente Hood” headpiece. The “Vaalithe” is an outfit without any prims, only with layers. A rare fact as nearly very outfit you can get is made with sculpts, prims and mesh nowadays. For me it was exactly the fact that you only have layers that caught my attention.

Miamai Horns Half

The wonderful black basic with kinda body stocking made of sheer lace and the opaque body that carries the amazing golden ornaments, shows the awesome skills of monica Outlander and her eye and love for the detail. To add some more of the golden tone I decided to add the “Miracle Business” bracelets from Chop Zuey. Belle released a the awesome “Don Quixote”  collection with many amazing sets and “The Miracle Business” set was one of them. To see all of them you either can roam through my blog or just go to the Chop Zuey Mainstore ;).

Miamai Horns von oben

The incredible hood as well is of the “Unfold” collection of Miamai. The “Silente Hood” is totally mesh made and the horns are part of the hood. The horns are decorated with little butterflies and chains and they give the whole outfit a very special touch.

For this post I only used poses from PosESioN. This new brand of Dahriel is a rising star on the pose heaven. His poses have a wide range from runway modeling poses, photo poses and as well amazing couple poses. He can do simply all from the usual runway pose with a special touch up to the extraordinary and unusual poses. All poses have a very smooth transition and are perfect for every use 🙂

“Wicca’s Raven”

Kyra Camel, owner and designer of Baboom and as well a wonderful friend, gave me a great honor, with dedicating am incredible gown to me. The “Wicca’s Raven” dress is an amazing not symmetric outfit with just one arm and one leg covered. The bodice is made of stunning lace and all the feathers really give the whole creation a wonderful elegant touch with the little artistic edge I love so much 🙂 I thought a long time about something special, that I could add to this post and as I was looking again and again on the pictures the raven poem of Edgar Allan Poe, one of my favourite writers. came to my mind 🙂

The Raven

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`’Tis some visitor,’ I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door –
Only this, and nothing more.’

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; – vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow – sorrow for the lost Lenore –
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels named Lenore –
Nameless here for evermore.

And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me – filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
`’Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door –
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door; –
This it is, and nothing more,’

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
`Sir,’ said I, `or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you’ – here I opened wide the door; –
Darkness there, and nothing more.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the darkness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, `Lenore!’
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, `Lenore!’
Merely this and nothing more.

Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.
`Surely,’ said I, `surely that is something at my window lattice;
Let me see then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore –
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore; –
‘Tis the wind and nothing more!’

Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore.
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door –
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door –
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
`Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,’ I said, `art sure no craven.
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the nightly shore –
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night’s Plutonian shore!’
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’

Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,
Though its answer little meaning – little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being
Ever yet was blessed with seeing bird above his chamber door –
Bird or beast above the sculptured bust above his chamber door,
With such name as `Nevermore.’

But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only,
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered – not a feather then he fluttered –
Till I scarcely more than muttered `Other friends have flown before –
On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before.’
Then the bird said, `Nevermore.’

Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,
`Doubtless,’ said I, `what it utters is its only stock and store,
Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful disaster
Followed fast and followed faster till his songs one burden bore –
Till the dirges of his hope that melancholy burden bore
Of “Never-nevermore.”‘

But the raven still beguiling all my sad soul into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird and bust and door;
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore –
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt, and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking `Nevermore.’

This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom’s core;
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion’s velvet lining that the lamp-light gloated o’er,
But whose velvet violet lining with the lamp-light gloating o’er,
She shall press, ah, nevermore!

Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor.
`Wretch,’ I cried, `thy God hath lent thee – by these angels he has sent thee
Respite – respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore!
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe, and forget this lost Lenore!’
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’

`Prophet!’ said I, `thing of evil! – prophet still, if bird or devil! –
Whether tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted –
On this home by horror haunted – tell me truly, I implore –
Is there – is there balm in Gilead? – tell me – tell me, I implore!’
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’

`Prophet!’ said I, `thing of evil! – prophet still, if bird or devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us – by that God we both adore –
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels named Lenore –
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden, whom the angels named Lenore?’
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’

`Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!’ I shrieked upstarting –
`Get thee back into the tempest and the Night’s Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken! – quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!’
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’

And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon’s that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o’er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted – nevermore!

Wicca’s Wardrobe: Of Fire and Dancing

Of fire and dancing.

One day, a fire spirit was curious about the other elements and decided to walk their places. She danced up into the air to see the spirits that could fly. But it did not really work. The flying spirits were afraid of her and pushed her to the ground, but she left her fire in the air. So they learned to dance and were a little bit ashamed that they treated the one who brought the gift so bad.

The fire spirit landed where the creature walked. Those creatures were bound by gravity and cautious about the fire. But they tried to use these gifts the spirit brought. The fire spirit like these slow walkers but longed to see her fellow dancers, so she walked to find them again.

Led by the same instinct that makes birds find north and south she danced over the earth to find home. But then the land ended and became water. By another instinct the dancer knew this was an element to kill her. The powers living in the water felt the same and stayed clear of her. So she started to dance at the shore of the ocean to evaporate the water. As you can imagine, it didn’t work. At times the fire spirit can be seen dancing fast over the land she is trapped on, but she always stops when there is water. But you can always see her gift to the earth when you see someone dance.
