Nailed It! – “Cracked Set”

This time I have the great pleasure, to showcase some of the newest designs of SoliDea FoliEs.

But before I will put the attention to the amazing designs I would like to focus again on my nails… I realized lately that wearing nails is something so ‘normal’ that you tend to forget about and usually they do not get the spotlight they earn. My nail polish for this post was made by Giela Delpaso, owner and designer of Nailed It! and a very good friend of mine. She puts so much effort in her work… it is incredible what tiny filigree art she puts on her nail designs.

Today I used some nail polishes from her “Cracked Set”. Lately Nailed it” not only provides nails for slink appliers and a set of mesh nails, but as well the HUDs for Maitreya and Belleza hands!

from left to right: SoliDea FoliEs – “Dolce”, “Uno.Mint”, “Flora” & “Dots into Spring”

Mila Tatham is back with amazing news and as well original mesh creations!

She made an amazing Spring/Summer Collection. Parts of her creations were showcased on the Saviad Anniversary and the wonderful FEROSH shows over that weekend.

Looking at her whole collection I was not really able to choose which dress or gown I would like to showcase first, so I put o all of them and snapped them to not be forced to just focus on one of them ๐Ÿ˜‰

ย From left to right we can see the “Dulce” dress, a short sleeve less dress with an amazing zebra print and a wonderful floral middle. Up next we have one of the Saviad exclusive releases called “Uno” in a mint color. The dress has a mesh basic and wonderful flexible prims added to give the whole outfit a very aerial look. The collar is attached to the dress already. The third design is called “Flora” and the name already tells what it is ๐Ÿ˜‰ A beautiful long-sleeved dress that reaches down to the ground with an awesome floral pattern. Last but not least we have the cute “Dots into Spring” dress. I am addicted to dots anyways and that sweet dress as well has this pretty flower to attach at the shoulder and as well some flexible prims that give the whole design a very realistic look, even if I liked it without as well ๐Ÿ˜‰

To see all the amazing new releases and original mesh designs of Mila Tatham, owner and genius designer of SoliDea FoliEs, you better make your way to her main store and watch around all the wonderful new releases and all time favourites ๐Ÿ˜‰

Black & White with [sys] & Wicca’s Wardrobe

sys face

Today I am very excited to showcase one of the latest releases from [sys] and another original mesh piece from Wicca’s Wardrobe.

Black & White is one of my favourite color combinations. Everyone who knows me already is aware of that even if I am not scared to go colorful as well ๐Ÿ˜‰

ย The “CAPITOL” outfit is one of the latest releases from [sys] for the ‘My Attic’ event (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/The%20Deck/87/185/21). Besides the black & white combination you as well have the choise between black, white and pink n either a leather or a linen fabric. The outfit contains the long, high wasted skirt, a wonderful neck holder top and the collar, wich gives the whole look a futuristic touch.

sys 1

ย In the pack you will find one fitted mesh piece of each part, the needed alpha layer and as well several versions for the new mesh bodes, like Maitreya or Slink. The collar itself is not rigged so you can adjust it to your body and make sure it fits.

The amazing nail polish was made by Giela Delpaso, owner and designer fo Nailed It!. I lately has a talk with her and I had to tell her that she kinda seems to read my mind about her new releases. Always when she brings out a new design I have the feeling of ‘Oh yes exactly that I missed!’ With her nail designs I am always finding the right style for my looks!

sys 3

The mask, is one of our latest original mesh creations for Wicca’s Wardrobe. Inspired by a Ram Horn, this mask is a totally must have for all professional stylists. The “Ram Horn Mask” fits male or female and is available in 7 different shiny metals.

The amazing futuristic looking chairs are made by 22769. The
“Flower Chair” in black, white, purple and red are available at the On9 event till the 28th of May (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tropical%20Orchid/239/193/999)

Put a look together… sometimes it is like doing a jigsaw puzzle :)

Machoire-EMO-tions-GizzA 003

I do not know why that is, but lately I am often in a fantasy mood…

Sometimes you see items and you like them and still they do not wanna talk to you. I mean you see a part you like and you cannot figure out what you wanna do with it. Then you put it aside and all of a sudden you see another item and a certain idea grows in your mind and all of a sudden all those “puzzle pieces” fit together ๐Ÿ™‚

It kinda was like this with the look for today. My 3 major parts for the look come from EMO-tions, GizzA and Machoire.

Machoire-EMO-tions-GizzA 001

Lets start with the base of the look. The new “Belen Skin” from Machoire. This is not a usual skin, more a painting or an art piece. I was thinking a long time what I could do with it without just snapping it with clothes that might not underline the art and fantasy character of the skin. But then I remembered one of the latest releases of GizzA, the “Lysistrata” fantasy costume. With the golden and white parts it added a more warrior type look but still did not overwrite the skin too much. The skirt, a combination of delicate white satin with the golden armor parts and the metal bra just looked awesome and still let enough room for the skin to shine through. The ear parts and the metal arm parts are as well part of the costume.

And what could match better to my fantasy warrior than the “Akora” hair from EMO-tions. You can wear the hairstyle single with a long tail down your back or you can add the crown and the face chain, what I did for this post.

I totally fell in love with my little fantasy warrior look and it again was hard to decide from all the pics I did, but i did not wanna bombard you again with too many pics so I chose my 4 favourite ones ๐Ÿ˜‰

Avantasia for THEMA Magazine

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 002

Avantasia

(some when in the future round about the year 2525 maybe….)

Be aware of the life on Avantasia before you venture into this world in the climax of war and anarchy, their enemies, the sirens of Venus who else.ย  The Avantasians are a complex race but by no means should they be underestimated, from their flexibility to the swifness of their long sharp talons, their catlike movements ooze in deadly elegance and subtle seduction as they prowl their world in search for the ultimate in style to seduce their next victim…I mean mate.

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 005

Sometimes you just need 2 to 3 pictures and you end up with 9 and cannot decide which ones to use. That happened to me when I made my pictures for the actual THEMA Magazine (http://issuu.com/themapublications/docs/thema_terraefirma)

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 003

The theme was Terrae Firma, and we was asked to create pictures about a new race of the existing planets or a new planet. When Tayler told me, I was immediately sure I wanted to create a new planet with a new race.

I wanted to do something still fashion related and human but to the same time, futuristic and apocalyptic. I love apocalyptic movies and art and so I watchedย  a few of my favourite movies while I was styling.

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 010

The first piece that came to my mind was the “Lucian Hat Nox” hat from Machoire. An incredible headpiece made of so many filigree parts and textured with such a great feeling for materials.

This amazing art piece is available in different colors, wich you all can see at the Machoire main store or at their website (http://machoire.blogspot.fr/)

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 007

Now I had to find something what kinda showed evolution for the future but still has a human aspect for the whole look.

The head-piece gave a rough idea for the general colors, back and some kind of metal should be the basic.

So started with a super old but still amazing top from Muhi. One of the brands I really miss in SL as they always were up to date and very fashion forward.

I know some people are against wearing old stuff and tell always to delete older things, but I am going more with my belly feeling and keep old things which I really like to combine them with new things. That sometimes can make a look very unique, as long as you keep the general style up to date and modern. Certainly some things are outdated some when, like the super old skins or hair, wich automatically let you look like 2007 :p , but for some clothing pieces and accessories that might not be the case ๐Ÿ˜‰ . As well I would say there is a difference in wearing old things for a picture or on the runway as some of the older things just react weird with movement, especially if they have huge static prims or sculpties, wich can look better with a nowadays mesh prim that actually moves with your properly.

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 004

To add a modern touch I put on my “Lavinia Leggins” in anthracite, which I made for my store Wicca’s Wardrobe. With the leathern garter belt over the leggings – one piece to wear – it got a strong and powerful look but as well some sexy attitude.

To finish the basic human look I added hells from Death Row Designs with some heavy chains and a huge plateau heel.

Now the challenge started to develop the human race forward to fit in the futuristic and apocalyptic environment, that I had in my mind for the new planet and race.

The first idea was the “Demonhands” from Death Row Designs. The sharp claws are important to fight and survive on the new planets face.

THEMA Magazine - Avantasia 006

I so many apocalyptic movies females wear corsets in some style and this made me add one corset of Trilobite over the “Asymetrical Bodysuit” from Muhi. And what should not miss? Some weapon looking accessories. Those I found as well at Death Row Designs.. I bet you can tell I love this store really a lot ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

ย The finish was the “Centipede” spine attachment, that comes with a wonderful tattoo layer. The tattoo makes the spine look like, as it would grow out directly off your back.

All the poses used in this post are from Del May, one of my favourite pose makers beside PosESioN or Corpus to just name a few.

And like I said in the beginning, It was so hard to decide between all the pictures I made, that this post is a little bit picture heavy ๐Ÿ˜‰

I would like to thank Taylor Wassep for this amazing opportunity and the great inspiration of her theme. The THEMA Magazine is for me really kinda an art exhibition with amazing stylists and photographers and I am feeling very honored that I was allowed to be part again ๐Ÿ™‚

White Widow meets EMO-tions

EMOtions & White Widow 001

Hair: EMO-tions – “Peggy” Earrings: EMO-tions – “Cherry” Eye Makeup: White Widow – “Lost River” Tattoo: White Widow – “Narcisse”

I would like to start my “catching up with the missing 2 weeks of my life” with 2 of my favourite designers and as well 2 very long time friends. Mirja Mills from EMO-tions and Julie Hastings from White Widow. Both are amazing designers, who look back on a long past of creating to make our SL more and more nice ๐Ÿ˜‰

For this post I made 3 stylings always paired with hair & jewelry from EMO-tions and makeup & tattoos made by White Widow.

EMOtions & White Widow 002

Hair: EMO-tions – “Peggy” Earrings: EMO-tions – “Cherry” Eye Makeup: White Widow – “Lost River” Tattoo: White Widow – “Narcisse”

When I tried on the “Peggy” hair style, I immediately got the impression of a Rockabilly Pin Up look. I added the “Cherry” earrings to even more go towards the look I had in my mind. Certainly a Rockabilly girl needs a super cool tattoo and where else than at White Widow you can find those? When I opened the “Lost River” pack, I was very surprised to see all of the most popular mesh body applier in there and so I did throw on my Slink Physique to try the tattoos on a mesh body. The lingerie I am wearing is the default one that comes with the slink Physique as it really looked nice with the whole styling ๐Ÿ˜‰ The “Lost River” tattoo can be word with the normal avatar as a tattoo layer and as not only the Slink appliers, you as well can wear it for the Belleza, Maitreya, Sking Brazilia Doll and the TMP mesh body and hands.

For the eye makeup I as well chose one of the latest releases from White Widow, the “Narcisse” design in black, which was made for the Black Fashion Fair.

EMOtions & White Widow 003

Hair: EMO-tions – “Peggy” Earrings: EMO-tions – “Cherry” Eye Makeup: White Widow – “Lost River” Tattoo: White Widow – “Narcisse”

For my second styling I chose the “Windblown 9 ” hair as well from EMO-tions together with the “Florielle” necklace out of the full set that comes with earrings, necklace and a wonderful forearm/hand piece ( I have to make sure to show that in a nother post soon!) This hair was right down my alley… wild, crazy and perfect for pictures in a windy or stormy environment!

The wonderful and filigree eye art again was made by Julie Hastings, owner and designer of White Widow. The “Arctica” makeup again shows why I am so in love with White Widow…

ย The filigree art work, those tiny lines placed by hand so straight and clean it amazes me every time again when I wear one of Julie’s new designs… she really is an artist when it comes to those tiny little but incredible drawings! The “Arctica” makeup is available at the New Fashion Store Event.

Last but not least I chose the “Imani” hairstyle from EMO-tions. With that ethnic looking hair style I am wearing the “Aphrodite” set to underline this kind of look. The “Inca” makeup from White Widow was the perfect addition for this look and with the amazing golden color it matched the “Aphrodite” jewelry. The “Inca” makeup you can find at the On9 Event.

LOTD 05/05/2015 – Back from Hospital… finally!

Liara 001

Yay! finally I am back. After being ripped out of my life for nearly 2 weeks and being brought to hospital I am fainlly back home.

I just can tell it is no fun if you just go see a doc, all of a sudden all get nervous and want you to be in hospital and you did not even think about that possibility…

No chance to inform anyone, no chance to pack a bag with all what you need… yeah… wonderful :/

After having an emergency surgery on the same day the kept me for nearly 2 weeks until I fought my wy out before the last weekend, as they anyways just wanted to wait till it heals and did not do anything anymore. It can heal at home as well, I thought and found finally a doctor who thought the same (after talking to round about 10 of them :p )

Liara 003

When I came back you can imagine how my inventory looked and I want to excuse myself to all designers who sent me stuff to blog, which I could not yet do because of the hot hospital mess. I will try to catch up one by one to get everything done ๐Ÿ™‚

For this post I use pictures I already had done before I was gone for the 2 weeks, while I am snapping all the news I have to show in the next days.

We recently created the “Liara” catsuit in many different colors and as well in 2 different patterns – the one I am wearing and a tribal version. When I put it on, I immediately had a cyber mood and remembered a sim where I used to be a lot more often in the past. Insilico. When I started to walk around SL, this place was the most popular place for cyber and futuristic RP ever, so I wanted to go see if it still exists. It does! Even if it seems a lt more quiet than it used to be. It really felt nice to walk around and remember good old times and see a few of the shops there and I still have a hard time to not shop like crazy with all the amazing cyber and future fashion items… yes, Iย  guess you can tell I am a cyber addicted ๐Ÿ˜‰

It was a nice journey to just stroll over Insilico but work calls me back to my platform… life has me back and SL too ๐Ÿ˜‰

Spring/Summer 2015 – Color Themed

wicca1FIN

Recently we were asked for the new Eclipse Magazine to style according to the Pantone Fashion Color Report 2015.

“This season there is a move toward the cooler and softer side of the color spectrum. An eclectic, ethereal mix of understated brights, pale pastels and nature-like neutrals take center stage as designers draw from daydreams of simpler times.”

This description I found, when I searched for the trend colors of the actual season, because we had to choose 2 colors.

I decided for Glacier Grey and Toasted Almond to make my 2 styles and got chosen to be part of the magazine with them.

The first picture is my interpretation of the Glacier Grey color.

The basic for the style was an older dress of GizzA, the “Gloria Dress”, but it just was sp perfect for what I wanted to go for. Since I am rarely a friend of bare legs, I added the pants layer of the “Brigitte Body Tights” from Leezu.

I wanted the whole look more towards fashion than usual casual. I decided to go with the “Mia Madoona Chloe” hat from Miamai. The cool mask added some mystic, which I anyways love ๐Ÿ˜‰

For the second style used something I made myself for Wicca’s Wardrobe. I fell in love with the colors Toasted Almond and sand. Both are part of the Spring /Summer 2015 colors as well.

The “Violetta Top” and the “Yves Pants”, both in Toasted Almond. Both with a very trend print and perfect for the actual season. To complete the styling, I chose to go with hair from enVOGUE as the “Clarissa” style in my view underlined the fresh spring look perfectly. To complete the look I added the “Lydia” booties in Toasted Almond as well.

I would like to give a big thank you to Tempest Rosca, who made this amazing pictures for the Eclipse magazine, giving me such a wonderful sunny and spring look ๐Ÿ™‚

Top Fetish for VERSUS Magazine Part II

Versus Magazine - Top Fetish 02

And that was my second style for the current issue of the amazing VERSUS Magazine.

For this look the center of my staling was one of my all time favourite top from LeeZu. The “Deklannche Top”. Even if it is not a new release it is one of my most worn tops ๐Ÿ˜‰ With the filigree work of the strings and chains and the wonderful textures.

To complete the look I just put my simple “Autumn Jeans” and that wonderful armor from DRD. For the hair I chose to go with, one my my personal favourites as well, from booN.
