Lines of Light

“Cyberspace. A consensual hallucination experienced daily by billions of legitimate operators, in every nation, by children being taught mathematical concepts… A graphic representation of data abstracted from banks of every computer in the human system. Unthinkable complexity. Lines of light ranged in the nonspace of the mind, clusters and constellations of data. Like city lights, receding…”
[-William Gibson, Neuromancer-]

I wanted to post this way earlier as it does mostly feature designs from the ACCESS Cyberfair, but as I already write about… with looking for a new job my RL is completely upside down and takes more attention that usual. I do hate it  – I am usually a person that likes to have at least something stable in my life where I can fill all the other gaps with my own schedule and activities. At the moment I do not even know what the next day will bring as I try to find a new job and run from one appointment to another – it does pay off I have to admit but it is exhausting and time consuming. But I do not want to complain about – that is life. I am just trying to explain why my posts are sometimes a little behind.  I hope you will find all the amazing items in the designers main stores by now 😉

Nevertheless I want to put your attention on some of the amazing creations I am wearing in my pictures today. Since we have the closeup right above, Please take a closer look at that fantastic neon eyebrows and eye-covers. They are made by Madame Noir and they come with a color HUD, which allows you to customize this fantastic design to all of your cyber styling! What as well we can see are parts of the incredible vest and top from A&Y. The “Raizer” top and vest as well were released at the Cyberfair and like all oof the amazing designs of A&Y they perfectly fit together and as well do have a huge HUD to color ever little face of that incredible cyber creations.

Since I slaughtered the backdrop on my first picture with PS so much, I just left it untouched in the other 2 pictures, so you can get an idea what that incredible backdrop actually looks like 😉

I hope that I can post more regularly soon – I really miss my “free time” which I usually take, to make pictures and relax from busy, stressy days.

Wicca’s Originals @ Kinky // September 28th – October 23rd

The iconography of the divine power of femininity continues in these Ashera Heels, completing the set from Wicca’s Originals. In ancient Semitic religion, Ashera is queen-consort of the sky god Anu, also known as the “mother of all living”, “lady of the sea”, and “the lioness”. These heels are comprised of three of the feminine ‘V’ symbol, with optional colored material inserts, woven into the delicate chains which start on the lower shin and travel down atop the top of the foot, and a tall stiletto heel in the back lifts the foot and emphasizes the shapeliness of the leg. The toes are left open and bare, allowing any nail paint to be on full display as well. As with the Nyana Legchains and the Valorie Bodychains, the Ashera Heels come in 10 colors for the chains and heels, as well as the ‘V’ inserts themselves, and are rigged to the Maitreya, Legacy, Slink, and Freya feet.

Steampunk Revolution

TUNES

We’ve got a steampunk revolution
We’re tired of all your so-called evolution
We’ve darted back to 1886
Don’t ask us why; that’s how we get our kicks

Our underworld isn’t filled with fear
Just brass and copper, leather scrap, and rusty gear
You can keep your hip-hop techno-pop-rock schleppin-dub
I’m on my way to a coal-powered underground vintage pub

Your subculture shops at the mall
We build ours with blowtorch, needle, thread, and leather awl
With our antique clock parts we’ve taken all arts, fine art to fashion
And now we’re spreading worldwide to circle the globe with a furious passion

We’ve got a steampunk revolution
We’re tired of all your so-called evolution
We’ve darted back to 1886
Don’t ask us why; that’s how we get our kicks

Ballet – Classic versus Contemporary

Eclipse Magazine, August 2020: https://issuu.com/eclipsemagazinesl/docs/eclipse_magazine_august_2020

For this issue of the Eclipse Magazine I was thinking a long time what I could do. I wanted a challenge for myself and I wanted to show that I can do different genres, not just the scary and crazy stuff 😉

When I thought about what would be the most opposite thing for me to do, I came across ballet. Something graceful and beautiful. While I was doing some research about it, I came across contemporary ballet as well. That really caught my attention, because I found some very impressing as well as emotional pictures and videos. That formed an idea of having 2 different pictures for the magazine – classic and contemporary. In the classic ballet I found very strict rules for the look and even for the hairstyles, while contemporary ballet gives you more freedom in that.

I felt like I was entering a new world, even if ballet wasn’t completely new for me – as a kid I had to go through that kids ballet classes like so many of us. It didn’t last long as I had more fun with gymnastics, riding, swimming and playing volleyball and so those ballet classes stopped after at most a year I think. Being a punk and later a gothic girl in my teens and twens, ballet wasn’t a thing or an option at all *giggles*

Seeing all those pictures and videos, inspired me a lot and the idea for this month genre was made. While I was thinking, where I could find the clothing and accessories for my new idea, Salt & Pepper must have read my mind. She released a huge set of ballet collection at Equal 10 with her “Ballet Dancer Set”. That was the perfect outfit for my classic ballet dancer. I couldn’t even use all parts for my first picture, that means I will have to do another post to show the whole beauty and contents of that set.

For my second picture, I did remember a set, which I already showcased on my blog in the light version. Since I wanted the classic ballet to be in a light muted color, the contemporary ballet was meant to be darker and more ‘me’ and my personal thought of it and so the “Skye Dancer” gacha in black was the perfect choice for what I had in mind. I am really a lover of mix and match but sometimes, if you go for a certain look or genre, mixing too many things and overload the avatar can be contra-productive. That is why I nearly have no accessories or anything that could disturb from the essence of the picture, the emotions and the mood.

A huge thank you goes out to my sister Daffodil Crimson, who helped me with the amazing description for the magazine. English is not my native language, so I often hit her IM box, if it comes to “official” texts for magazines and such. Usually I do collect facts and free sources or try to  write somethings on my own, if I am familiar with the theme. For the ballet one I only had a brief idea what I wanted to be written and that time Daffi jumped in and wrote everything on her own. When she came it to me to read it, I just was blown away! It was so very well written and had exactly in it what I was desiring for, but in words that described it so much better than anything I could have come up with. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for again saving my SL life like so often sis!!!

I hope you enjoyed my little ballet adventure – for the next issue of Eclipse Magazine I will have another “unusual” genre for me, which gives me quite a challenge but I am looking forward to the final frames 😉

River 2.0 joins the LeLUTKA Evolution Family!

Finally RL did set me free and I can show you that amazing new head from LeLUTKA! The whole week I was trying to finish the post and RL always interrupted me *frowns*

“River 2.0” is the latest addition for the LeLUTKA Evolution Family. It was released on the IBTC event this month. The head has the same amazing features as all the new Evolution heads have, PLUS it does allow a very awesome androgynous look. That is why LeLUTKA included male hairbases and beards for this head, what basically makes this the first “unisex” head for me. Depending on the shape and skin (for this post I used the original shape and skin, which come with the head) that you will use you can decide if you wan a more male or female look for your face.

On the same event, the new Maitreya “Flat Chest Add-on” was introduced… perfect for my androgyny look I was looking for! With that add-on you can just “overwrite” your female Maitreya “Lara” mesh body and have a flat  boy chest instead of your regular female one. It is really easy, as you only have to exchange your Maitreya HUD to the new Flat Chest one and add the flat chest add-on on top of your Maitreya body.

There will be soon more with that special combination of “River 2.0” and the new “Flat Chest Add-on” – I really like to play with that new and special look and gives me the possibility to wear some male clothing, too 😉

Wicca’s Originals @ Engine Room // September 20th – October 20th

The Wickham Hat and the surprise it holds is a must-have for any steampunk enthusiast. This latest offering by Wicca’s Originals is a combination of felt and metal, in the image of a top hat. The styling of gears and pipes, nuts and bolts carries the aesthetic. But what really sets it apart is what is hidden within. The top of the hat can open up, revealing a music or voice player within, using cylindrical audio capture. One brass cylinder can be spouting tunes or recordings, and another cylinder is available to listen to what’s going on and record it. Just wind it up for a meager five minutes and it is good for an hour or recording or playback! The Wickham Hat is a unisex, resizable piece that anyone can wear, and comes in 7 color options. Get yours now!

Wicca’s Originals @ ACCESS // September 12th – October 8th

Made in a style to match the Valorie Bodychain, or worn by itself, the Nyana Legchains by Wicca’s Originals are a seductive treat to show off some skin. Thin links clink together as they hug around thighs and calves, tapering away from four ‘V’ shaped patches of cloth down the leg. The V is a historical symbol for the “sacred feminine”, alluding to the wisdom and power of women. It ties to goddesses such as Venus, Voluptas, and Virgo. The shape is suggestive of female sexuality, and one should feel empowered by wearing these, showing off the shapeliness of the legs, as well as one’s sacred feminine power. Like the bodychain, the legchains come in 10 different metal options which can be matched with the optional thin cloth inserts. The Nyana Legchains fit Maitreya Lara, Legacy, Belleza Freya and Slink Hourglass.

Wicca’s Originals @ Black Fair // September 12th – 26th

Some clothing and accessories are made to promise tenderness and pleasure. The Andastra Gloves, by Wicca’s Originals, promise pain. With crooking of a single finger, tipped with a long, wicked claw, the spell begins. The distinction between lover and prey becomes less clear. He or she won’t stand a chance, losing their mind as their heart races, wanting to feel the sleek material against their skin. Wanting to feel the dark nails carving patterns on the canvas of their flesh. And you are all too happy to deliver — that’s why you acquired these gloves, after all. What is lovemaking without a little bloodletting? Gloves and their metal bracing can be changed between 10 colors independently, designed for Maitreya, Legacy, and Hourglass bodies.

Wicca’s Originals @ Pretty // September 2020

Wicca’s Originals @ Pretty // September 7th – 30th

The Valorie Bodychain is a unique and finely crafted addition to your fetishwear collection. Wicca’s Originals has carefully crafted this series of links to best accentuate the feminine form. From the collar, a length of chain follows the sternum and series of chain ‘ribs’ is draped over the breasts, emphasizing their curvature while giving absolutely free access to your lover. The matching panty set hugging over each hip technically provides covering, but only the barest amount, while a series of chains clings to the lower abdomen. The overall effect is not to provide clothing, but to decorate and help the natural beauty of the female form shine even more. Adornment which directs the eyes and arouses hungers. The “panty plate can be taken off via the HUD, too *winks* Comes in 10 different colors, for the Maitreya, Legacy, Hourglass, and Freya bodies.
