The nice part of having holidays is you have more time to fool around with things you always wanted to learn before. For me that is watching a lot of new tutorials for Photoshop and trying if I can use what I learned in my own ways on my pictures. Even if it takes a lot longer to try new skills and techniques, it is a lot of fun, too.

Today I wanted to do something editorial and I wanted to involve the incredible amazing designs of Zibska. When I put on the “Ruina” collar and makeup, I instantly knew, that I do not want too much things in the background that would distract from the design itself. The collar has 2 orbits with  with fishies and hooks which I am not wearing for my todays picture as it added too much cuteness for my idea*giggles* While I was standing in my black spot and fooling around with lights I realized how cool the “Ruina” collar does reflect the lights and I just rezzed one, pulled it super huge trying t see what it would look like… like you can see on the pictures, I loved the idea :p I even stretched it a little more, rezzed another one, shoved them around and finally played with the color HUD. That again proves, that Zib Scaggs is truly an artist, you even can use her creations totally out of purpose and still they add an artful touch to your picture 😉 For a matching expression to that powerful picture, I again used my Axis HUD from LeLutka. I already wrote about that (HERE), but I just cannot tell it often enough, that it does open a complete new world for me for pictures with some kind of mood or emotions 😉

I’m lost in a dream…

Sometimes you sit there, staring at your inventory and have no idea what you can do. You put on various outfits, dresses, pants, tops and nothing screams “Yes.. it’s me! Do something with me!” I am not saying, that all the stuff would be ugly or not nice… it all looks perfect and it is made amazingly, but just nothing touches you, nothing catches your eyes or heart.
There are moments in life where just nothing can grab your attention or drag your brain off some things that happen in your life. For me it was a RL situation, that really had tied up my brain and mind/mood completely. If you love your job and you put everything you have and can into it, if you even started a project and work on that for years and suddenly someone comes and tries to steal that from you and even get you kicked out from it, it really can go very deep and it does hurt like if someone rips out a part of yourself, throws it on the ground and tramples on it like crazy with a big grin in her/his face.

In exactly that mood I was nearly the whole past week and that was when this style grew over days, not knowing what I want to do. It did look like a bunch of things not belonging to each other on the first view for me, until I told my self to let it flow and see where it would be going. First I thought of a kind of fairy or “Galadriel” looking pictures in a fantasy environment. But while I was trying like an idiot I came across the amazing pictures of Alles Klaar (HERE). She has a lot of water based pictures, like her and her friends posing on water, having those amazing reflections. That reminded me of the never ending story if we could have real mirrors in Second Life (LINK). I did not want to download anything and I tried to remember how you could cheat on that fact with using mirror water (MIRROR WATER).

I do have no water available at my home at the moment, so I am very grateful, that – after a talk explaining my issue – Tour gave me the opportunity to use his sim for my experiments. While I was trying to fool with that water mirror effect, I realized, it isn’t what I wanted or my skills are not good enough to do what I had imagined. It was the first time, that I wasn’t alone while I tried to set up a scene. Tour was with me and we even had a voice conversation for some time while I was trying to find what I wanted to do. What really was fun, he as well did some snaps and we shared our visions about my project. That was quite interesting! I always thought I never could have somebody with me while doing this, but it even did inspire me somehow 🙂 Thank you Tour for your generosity to let me experiment on your land and ruining your terraforming for me, because of my need for water!

The more pictures I shot, the more my vision changed and my mind could let go of my RL situation and I found my fun back in doing weird and crazy things. My feelings and emotions changed from weak, frustrated and depressed to stubborn, stronger and willing to fight my way out of my actual mood. I rarely had so different emotions on my pixel face during a shooting I have to admit, as I usually try to make an indicating series of pictures.

Again Second Life was kind of a therapy to escape from real life, but as well it did help to free my mind again and not being stuck inside a certain situation. I am not saying SecondLife is the best therapy you can find, I am just saying sometimes it helps to allay concerns or get your brain some relief 😉

Believe me, after 12,5 years SL I know, that you need to step away from it sometimes or even shut it down for a while to solve RL problem… I hope you get the idea of what I was trying to say 😉

Since I changed the point of my blog, not only being a fashion catalog, but as well being a part of me and both of my lifes, my pictures do matter for me. After I attended Visionaire classes (I sometimes still do), it as well felt right to do so. I am not saying, fashion only blogs are not cool, I just decided for myself that I wanted to have more than just that after so many years of blogging 🙂

LOTD 07/16/2016 – Gradient!

Green/Blue Gradient… I have no clue why but I felt I wanted to do something with that :p

First I went through my inventory and looked for something in green and blue, when I remembered that I always loved the string and deep colors fo Zibska.

Then I saw the amazing “Zsuzsa” dress from Zibska. Originally it was made for a Thumbelina inspired event.  With the amazing leave shaped skirt and the beautiful little petals that are floating around the whole outfit it seemed to be perfect for my idea 😉

With the huge color HUD I was able to color the dress to a green/blue gradient, so I just had to fins something green for the top half of my body and something blue for the bottom. The down part was kinda easy as we released not too long ago a snorkel blue version of the “Montana”boots, that perfectly matched the idea.

The upper part was not that easy until I remembered the “Kiri” collar and head-piece as well from Zibska. Usually it is always easier to match colors if you use items from the same designer as mostly they use a close color pallet for some of their items. The green of the “Kiri” ensemble matched so perfect and when I found an option to even color the spheres in a light blue tone.

The amazing makeup is a mixture of 2 eye shadows from Nuuna’s – the “Ere Makeup”  and the “Mya Shadow” in blue and the amazing apple green “Leah” lipstick from Glam Affair.

Even if black is my favourite color, sometimes I have some colorful moments :p

Winter Dreams

Dreaming of a white Christmas… yes .. exactly that was what I was doing for the past days. I still did hope that at least a few snowflakes would show up for Christmas but… sadly not even a single one…

So I had to play with snow for the pictures 😉

First I wanted to dress up all in white, sometimes I like it when I can blend myself into the scenery or background as to me that usually makes it most dreamy and interesting.

I started with the “New Age” pants in white, I always liked those pants and the special shape of them. Then I added the “Orion” collar from [sys]. The collar covers the chest barley and if you move it shows more than I like 😉 So I had to search for something that I could use as a base to not distract too much but as well cover my body at least a little bit. I used the layer of the “Mummy Bride” of Ezura Xue. Just a few bandages around my chest and waist 😉

The shoes are from Wicca’s Wardrobe. The “Shenna” heels in white of the ‘Chic Edition’ pack. I already had a funky touch so I went for the amazing horns from Death Row Designs. The cool knee patches are part of an [sys] outfit called “Alcane”

Now I had to find a place with snow and after trying a lot of different sims which are just Christmas themed I found this wonderful little place. A wonderful landscape with a natural and realistic looking ambience. Sadly I forgot to LM the place and after hopping around so much I forgot how it was called *grumbles* But I will try to find it again and update the post then 😉

*UPDATE: Found the place again and it is called “Let it Snow”

Can swimwear be avantgarde or couture? – Mad Diva shows it!!!

I never thought about that it would be possible to wear a bikini and still show my love and addiction to the extraordinary fashion 😉 Kalyabreeaa Capelo showed me different. She made a bikini, named “Yula” that totally will be my choice for the upcoming summer season!

The whole “Yula” bikini is made of prims, no clothing layers at all but it covers all needed parts 😉 The basic color is a mixture of black metal and red… again a plus as that are my favourite colors as well 😉 For the shoulder ring you can decide between a straight one like I am wearing for the pics, that goes around both shoulders and then there is another version that more diagonal and lays on one shoulder higher than the other. Swimwear goes couture 🙂 I guess Kalybreeaa Capelo, designer of Mad Diva showed of in an incredible way that this os possible and very sexy as well 🙂 You really should make your way to the Mad Diva Mainstore and see by yourself how innovative and new all the designs are! Or you can watch the Claim the Fame shows on every Wednesday as well where Kalyabreeaa Capelo is one of the contestants as well and shows a male and female outfit every week 😉

alaMood – A rising star on the jewelry designers sky!

Today I have the great pleasure to show you some of the creations of an upcoming jewelry designer: Jori Watler, designer and owner of “alaMood“. Jori creates fresh and modern looking jewelry for every situation, anyways if casual or formal.

The “Alkahi Dew” set in gold is the first one I would like to show you.

A great combination of gold and turquoise makes this set to perfect ensemble for different types outfits. The basic shape is very simple but the texture highlights the single parts. It does not have to be always complicated to look classy and beautiful 😉 The golden texture is not just a simple one… you can imagine the blacksmith hiting with his heavy hammer again and again the metal to form it perfectly 🙂 The teal gems make the perfect addition for this amazing set.

The second little treasure is the “Nightlife Diamond Ensemble” It contains necklace, earrings and a stunning ring. This ensemble you can purchase in different colors. The necklace is a non closed, silver circlet that is decorated with lovely gems at its end. The short earrings have a wonderful twisted shape and are also covered by this lovely diamonds.

The ring looks not closed too and the top of both halfs is covered by the same lovely gems you can find on necklace and earrings.

“Soho” in ebony is a little modern set of earrings and a necklace. The amazing chain parts are made lovely detailed so that you can see every single chain link. A big silver framed gem in ebony with an amazing texture decorated the middle front of the necklace.

“Soho” is available in different colors like we can see here in the jade version 🙂

Color meets noble metal 🙂 – The “Siddean” cuff in pink. The pink is a wonderful decoration for the silver bangles. A big pink gem with lovely facets shines from your wrist:). also the shape of the bangles in not just a round one. It is not closed on the inner side of the wrist and has lovely edges on the top. A modern accessories for the todays fashionista!

dojo – paper couture in black and white

Today I am very happy to show you 2 newer designs of dojo. Sanders Beaumont, well knows from FDL – Fleur de Lys, created a very young and fresh label for couture designs. Today I have 2 lovely designs that I wanna show you. Lets start with “Vedette” in black and white.

“Vedette” is a very cute short dress with an amazing head-piece. The top is decorated with a beautiful attachment that give it a very realistic look with imagine the “down wrapped” part over the chest. The chest and neckpart are connected as one part. The skirt looks like an open flower with all the petals going around. The shoes are part of the full outfit too. Lovely peep toes sandals with a solid sole in brown and a cute little flower as decoration. This makes this outfit perfect for the actual spring season 😉

The second outfit for today is called “Vanille” and it comes with a sweet surprise 😉

“Vanille” comes with 2 different versions to wear. One closed and one open version, like blossoming flower and also it has 2 different neckparts 🙂

First we have the closed version. A little short balloon skirt shows off your beautiful long legs. The neck part looks like loosing wrapped around and the chest part again is covered by an amazing prim attachment. A totally eye catcher is the little flower head-piece that repeats the flower theme in an amazing way.

Here we see the open version of “Vanilla”. It looks like the spring came and opened the flower 😉 Sweet prim attachments make the sweet imagination of awesome open petals. The neck collar is a bit different too for this version. The great black & white socks are also part of the whole outfit.

Both outfits look very special and spring like, so make your way to the dojo Mainstore and see all the lovely creations – not only in black & white 😉

Mea Culpa opens the doors!!! Store opening of a new Designer!

At last Mea Culpa opens its doors. 🙂 I had a few amazing previews on my blog already and I am very happy that I am now allowed and able to tell you yesterday the fabulous store opened and all this amazing designs are now available!

Mea Culpa is a fresh and new brand with haute couture and avantgarde fashion, for everyone that looks for something special!

(Outfit: Mea Culpa – “Trash Treasure, Model: Wicca Merlin)

Mea Culpa designs are not only special they even carry special, creative and extraordinary names 😉 Like the first outfit ” Trash Treasure”. A short dress in black and white with wonderful prim attachments, that make th whole creation to a piece of art. The basic clothing layers are decorated with many different shaped prims that give the whole outfit the special touch, like the round shoulder parts, the fan looking neck part and for sure the amazing short skirt with the amazing detailed belt.

Up next “Silver Dragon” again shows the amazing skills of  Tatanka Kaligawa, the genius designer of Mea Culpa. The basic clothing layers show off a lot of skin and make this outfit to a sexy eyecatcher. This outfit comes as a full outfit with head part and boots. Center of this outfit are for me the long steel parts and spikes that give the outfit a light amazon touch… some for the brave strong girls 😉

“Dark Desire” wakes up dark desires 😉 A long black gown with a beautiful ornamented corsage part. The tight corsage leads over to a big ballgown skirt. The special detail on this incredible gown in the great head pice with the lovely flower and the fantastic spider webs in 2 colors. The black of the gown is broken with the red petals of the flowers and one red spiderweb. The headpiece is also decorated with beautiful lace parts that give the whole part a mystical and elegant touch.

“African Lotus” is a very huge gown that definitely will make you the center of every event. It is not a symmetric outfit, the amazing attached prims are take the left side of the outfit. Dreamy flexi made the move with every step you take. The top layer is covered by an amazing wrapped part that goes over the right shoulder.

“African Lotus” is a very huge gown that definitely will make you the center of every event. It is not a symmetric outfit, the amazing attached prims are take the left side of the outfit. Dreamy flexi made the move with every step you take. The top layer is covered by an amazing wrapped part that goes over the right shoulder. (horns not included)

“Storm of Passion” again is a very sexy and short outfit that shows a lot of a ladies well-shaped body 😉 The whole outfit is made of a glittering and sparkling texture what gives you a very special shine. The head part includes a long flexi ponytail in the back that goes down to the waist.  The basic black-silver-grey texture is highlighted with lovely emerald gems at head, chest and belly. And if you look very close you can see a beautiful leopard animal print texture that covers the body that is worn under the glittering prim parts. 2 long flexi attachments go down from the wait to the knee and caress your legs with every movement.

Last outfit for this post is “Perfectly Wrapped” The name shows off the basic idea of this design 😉 The whole body is wrapped in a foil looking texture with amazing edgy spikes that make a great contrast. The great head part is also included and carries a few of the long edgy parts that make this outfit definitely to a haute couture one. The long attachments are again great flexi made and move natural with every step you make.

The store just opened, so if you wanna be one of the first that wears that extraordinary and fantastic designs… hurry to the Mea Culpa Mainstore. The store itself is worth a visit… modern, and extravagant… the right place for a real fashionista to shop 😉

Mea Culpa – another sneak preview of an incredible design!

Again I have the great honor to show you a prerelease of one of the new “Mea Culpa” designs. The store will be open very soon and I cannot wait to see all the other great designs!

For today we have the outfit “Fantasy” in 3 different colors. The black one is called “Twilight Fantasy”

For this outfit I only added skin and shoes. The rest of that wonderful creation is part of that wonderful outfit, like the great head part that is attached to one of the ears so that you also can wear hair to it if you like. I decided to skip hair cause I liked the look the head-piece gives 😉 Hair just was taking the attention away from it in my view. The great waist attachment is kind of eyecatcher too. It looks like a smart little skirt but it does not cover anything and you can see the great basic body and the amazing laced clothing layers like the stockings or even the long sleeves of the top.

The white version is called “Innocent Fantasy” and it is parted with a nother color for the fantastic orchids that decorate this color too.

It has the same great features a the black version and in this picture you can see that the outfit contains a pair of colors socks according to the outfit color also.

Last but not least I will give you a peek on the red version of that amazing design what is called “Red Light Fantasy”. The red version also has all the same great parts and features like the white and black one 🙂

Overall I am very excited about the Mea Culpa Mainstore opening that is so close and I nearly can wait for 😉
