GizzA – Burlesque Corset varied ;)

Do you know the feeling if you think that the whole world is against you and every day something new stupid or bad happens… that’s how I feel lately. My doggie was bitten badly and since then she turned into a psycho after being my angel for 10 years. She seems to have a bad trauma now and it will need a lot of time and love to let her recover from that. My RL moving as well went not that smooth as I hoped and that holds me back a lot from being online and blogging. Many more small things added up to a point where I felt no power anymore. But as always it has to go on and so you mobilize a last time all what you have left and throw yourself into something that’s called life ;).

Yesterday finally I made 85% of my movement to the new apartment and so I just have 2 weeks left till I finally can leave this place here and start over new in my new appartment*happy dance*

I had a few time left last night and so I snapped a few pics so that I at least can blog something, after being so slow for a few weeks 😉 .

Today I would like to showcase my look I made for my GizzA workshift. The new “Burlesque Corset” got blogged quite a few times with amazing and beautiful pictures out of the Burlesque genre, so I wanted to to something different. With the red and gold version of the “Burlesque Corset” I came across the idea of a fashionable cadet look. I added the pants from the “Lordly” outfit as well from GizzA and the “Epaulette” shoulder parts that are available in various colors at the GizzA Mainstore from one of the gachas. The necklaces and chains are part of the “Epaulette” shoulder parts, so I skipped any kind of necklace to not overload the whole look. The amazing “Asia” bracelets with the leather parts, chains and watches were a good addition to complete my cadet look.

To add a female and sexy touch I put on the “Tall Leather Thigh Boots” from Slink. Then I wanted to wear one of those berets that make it even a bot more cadet looking. I looked all over but I could find none that matched in color nor did I like the shape of the most. I started a few ago to experiment with mesh and sculpties for designing clothes and I remembered that in one of those huge packs of sculpts there was a beret somewhere… ok.. i just will make my own one. I tried until I was satisfied with the texture, light and shadows and… tataaaaa my own beret that matched the look!

Brave Woman – A Tribute to Donna Flora

Some brave women, not the famous ones, fought for the right to vote early in the last century, they were called Suffragettes in a pejorative manner. They went on hunger strikes, were forcibly fed, went into passive resistance and took other measures to claim that women are equal. After almost 20 years of fighting, the right to vote was finally granted in 1919 (USA) and 1920 (UK). Being a political decision, it had a strong impact on the women’s lives and their appearance. Long hair was cut, and skirts shortened, the corsets went. Around then Coco Chanel invented the little black dress offering an unknown freedom of movement tot he wearer. She was right when she said, this dress would be “a sort of uniform for all women of taste.“ Today we think of Flappers, thinking back tot he glorious 20s, who would not have been without some brave women fighting for their rights.

But there are other ways to be brave, face an illness, be there for others, raise children, solidarize and to speak up when needed, to name a few.

Summer Feelings in Second Life

Today I had a very raremoment.. I felt girly*giggles* I tried the wonderful “Natalie” dress, that I was given from JEZZIXA Cazalet. She designs now for a while and sells her creations under the Prism label. I saw her in that dress longer ago and I really liked how it looked on her. I tried for a long time to get a cute look together but when I am not in ym girly times, I just fail in that :p .

The dress has a white basic with wonderful floral ornaments and a black, lightly ruffled top end. The awesome hair with the huge flowers, called “Loroi” is one of the contributions of Miamai to the hair Fair 2013, which lasts only for a few more days. So better hurry if you did not yet visit it ;).

For the jewelry and the bag I searched through my GizzA folder, since I remembered, that one of the lastest releases included a wonderful jewelry set. The “Boho” set, contains a necklace, made of 2 parts and the wonderful bangles. I chose to only wear the upper part of the necklace for this styling. The “Gizza Summer Bad” with the sweet bow for me completed my girly look 😉 .

I would like to drag your attention now even closer to the face, Miamai made a fabulous set of lashes. The “Protagoniste Basic “set is a very special beauty and makeup set. You have a lot of possibilities to change themm to your likings with a HUD. You can decide of you wanna have extra lashes, gems in different colors of the eyeliner. As well there is pair of prim eyes that can be colored in different colors and even to the eyes you can add little extras via the HUD.

Sometimes I fall into my Rockabilly mood and then I love the boyish jeans & tank top look. A few days ago it was time again, to try my inventory for exactly that look :p.

I wanted to use some of my older stuff and show, that this can be still cool even if it is not all brand new 😉

The shirt is one of my first Maitreya shirts and I never found a better tank top for such purposes. The jeans are one of my long time favourites from LeeZu and the shirt that’s wrapped around my waist is that old that Coco now has it as a discounted item*giggles*. The only thing what is really new are the shoes, and that is just because I so fell in love with them.

The new look inspired me to make a new pose set called “Swag Casual”

The need of swag looking poses and as well the desire of some poses that look cool and with a light imagination of movement.

Wicca’s Wardrobe: Dark Indulgence

The newest addition to my store Wicca’s Wardrobe, would be a very special gown set – the “Dark Indulgence” set. Sometimes you want to showcase a wonderful gown, but not in the usual, general just beauty looking way. Sometimes it needs to have a little special attitude, that goes a little bit in a more cool and dark direction ;). For this purpose I created the “Dark Indulgence” set.

Inspired by a gothic splendor or even lightly avant garde look, I wanted to have elegant poses that have a bit more of dramatic expression 😉

For the look I chose one of my long time favourites of Miamai, the “Mourning” gown. The black gown comes with the wonderful head part and the collar. I just added the back fan from [glow] and the super amazing gloves that are compatible with my Slink hands.

To the simple textured gown I wanted to add some heavy makeup so I decided to wear the “Maudite 10” mask of the “Les Makeups” line of Miamai.

Wicca’s Wardrobe: Crazy Casual on a stormy Afternoon

The opening of my shop Wicca’s Wardrobe last night and the huge response of friends, customers and students, did really push me to make another set for my new store. Yes I am like a little girl on Christmas, because I never had a store or a brand before 😉 This new “Crazy Casual Set” is kinda some poses I always wanted to have an never found them.

Even everyday moments can be very special. Most of them are poses, that happen during the day , when you are walking around and you do not even realize them. What I realized while I made the poses, it looks very funny when you try to make static poses that are part of a movement you do not even notice when you do it 😉 If you look out on the grid there are hardly any poses, that look like real snapshots, where you just catch a moment. For that special moments, a realistic and casual picture, the “Crazy Casual Set” is made 🙂

For today’s styling I used a combination of LeeZu and M.o.w. The super cool “Suspender Jeans” in that tartan fabric looking texture with the loose suspenders really caught my heart. First I wanted to make an urban casual with it, but then I thought you even can make something chic out of it and tried the “Tasia” jacket from LeeZu. The jacket for me was something new and very special for me. The first time when I put it on, I thought I did have rezzing problems. Then I jumped… NO! it was supposed like this!!! I never saw a mesh jacked with a half open arm. The upper side of your arm is nude and the bottom part is covered and even carries some little decorations… just amazing.

For the location, I thought I can use the deviousMind sim, that I was talking about in one of my last posts. The whole sim has so many amazing secret spots and the buildings and arrangements have such a good quality it is really a fun to snap pictures there. Besides you can go window shopping as well, but that’s a totally other story :p

Wicca’s Wardrobe: I have my first own store!

Today is a very special day for me. I got my first Mainstore for Wicca’s Wardrobe. I recently started to make poses for my blog and I got asked again and again why I would not sell them.

I thought about and after being scared for quite some time, I started to sort my poses and tried to make a few mini sets. Each of my regular pose sets will have 5 poses, which you can buy single or even as a fatpack with a discount on it 😉 .

I thought about what kind of poses I would like to make. There is already a lot of amazing runway pose makers out on the grid and a few are very close friends of mine. I am not a very competitive person and so I decided to make special sets for a special purpose. For example when I needed some cool casual jeans poses and could not find what I had in mind I just made me some and called the set “Casual Jeans”, or when I wanted to make a post with a handbag, a more cool that elegant one I found non that matched and so the “Cool Handbag” set was born. Another time I had to pose a wonderful Azul gown with super huge flower parts and so the “Huge Flowers” set came to life.

My poses will always have a purpose for each set and maybe that’s why they will carry funny names sometimes ;).

For the opening of my very first store I wanted to make another set. I was styling the amazing “Cross Halter Dress” from R2, that I found at the Collabor88 combines with the huge “MTL” hat from [AD] Creations. This super huge hat again brought exactly the ‘find the right pose problem’ and I thought I maybe can make a new set for opening my first Mainstore with a “Big Hat Fun” set 😉

I wanted to have some not just nice and sweet lo9oking poses for that huge hat since the mesh dress is kinda special 😉

For my new brand Wicca’s Wardrobe, I wanted to make a new clear logo. I wanted to cut back on one letter only, but I wanted to keep the snake that was with me for such a long time now. Snake is my asian zodiac as well so it has a special meaning to me 😉

I made new Poses!!! The Huge Flowers Set

And I did it again 😉 Lately I found a lot of fun in making my own poses for my blog posts and I got asked so many times why I wouldn’t put them for sale… so I did 😉 The reason why I started making my own poses was that I have a lot of times wild outfits or special stylings that do not lemme use some of my amazing poses that I already have in my inventory. So all of my poses will have a special purpose. The new set is called “Huge Flowers“, because of the huge flowers that decorate the dress. I tried to snap this amazing “Anima” gown from Azul. All of the poses I used had the hands in that flowers somewhere or were just too simple for that stunning dress. I am sure you all know that, you wanna pose an outfit and every pose you try you find another part that does not look right, ir your hands are in the prims or the prims move weird with the pose. So I thought I make a few special ones for this purpose 😉 So if you like them, grab the taxi and try them 😉 You will find them at the landing spot of the Silken Moon Mainstore, where have now all my 3 sets out. Essence of Women in plum… ok that sounds weird :p

Sometimes you have the feeling you wanna do something but you are not yet sure what and then you start to look through your inventory. I stumbled over one of the latest releases of LeeZu, that I not yet had blogged and I put it on. Usually I tend to choose black for the first try, because I love black so much. But in that moments when you are not yet sure what the result will be you are a bit more daring :p. So I tried the plum version… I have no clue why, as the outfit is really different and a totally other color, but all of a sudden I had Kylie Minouge in my head with the video to the song “can’t get you out of my head. Even if the original outfit had a deep neckline and some floating fabric at the legs… it must have been the hoodie what reminded me of it 😉

If you choose such a special color it is hard to find shoes in the same color range, since plum can have different shades as well. I went directly to my LeeZu shoes folder and with the “Times Square Overknee Boots” I found the right color for my boots to match the “Raphael Hoody”. It is no secret that I am LeeZu addicted, so I thought I can finish the styling with LeeZu items as well. The “Marmour Tights” in pink and the new mesh version of the “NifNif” gloves in mauve completed my plum-purple-lilac outfit.

Usually I wanted to attend the Home & Garden Expo 2013 as a blogger, but some unexpected RL issues came up and prevented me from blogging for over a week. But even if the event is nearly over, I do not wanna let the few things I got to get dusty in my inventory. The wonderful scenery of a room I made with the amazing furniture from Second Spaces. The “Messy Bookshelf”, that comes in a filled and empty version, the cute “Bennie small Chests”, the amazing “Honeycombs”, that you can get in different color shades and the “Bullseye Stool” made an amazing set for the styling, as I could match all the furniture design to my outfit color 🙂

As we spoke of so many news, I would have another great new release to announce 😉

I use Vista Animati0ns for my AOs in ages. I tried several others but in the end I always came back using my Vista ones. Their animations are simply the best ones I ever saw, not to mention that I nearly bought all of their AOs in the past*hides*. Natural and everyday usable for every kind of styling and attitude, because of the wide range of different AOs and animations. Now you can imagine how happy I was when Persia asked me if would like to join the Vista Animations blogger team. I was jumping up and down not even believing what I just heard. To the same time she told me that soon thre will be a brand new AO. Now go figure… I kinda counted the days like a little child before Christmas.
