Casual Chic… or something like that ;)

Wunderland Doll full

Last week I was walking a show, that was dedicated to German designers in SL. Most of them are little stores and brands and for some I did not even know that they are German like me :p.

One of those brands I did never hear of before was F.owl. I got the beautiful “Wonderland – Doll Dress” for the show, something I might not have chosen by myself, but for the show I had to style it. The dress itself is mesh made. The bottom is a solid black fabric and the top has a sweet lace looking texture. I was looking for quite some time at the dress and thought what kind of look I could do with it. Usually if I need some inspiration, I get some music on, or I look through RL fashion magazines. This time I decided to go for music. I was listening to a mixture of Shania Twain, Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morissette, as the idea for my look was growing in my head.

I added the “Glitter Tights” in gold from LeeZu and the “Flutter Boots” by lassitude & ennui. The “Glitter Tights” I loved so much, because they have a black sheer base and some golden highlights around the knees in the front. The “Flutter Boots” I found at the Gothic Fair 2013 and I totally fell in love with them. The are boots with not too high heels but still they are not that kind of heavy and huge as most of the boots you see on the grid. The lines in the front and the flat sole with the heels were just perfect for the casual look I was searching  for. Now I still looked kinda usual and nice, but I wanted to give the whole look my little twist. So I added the “Sirah” hairstyle from Burley with that amazing mesh hat and the huge “Twiggy” glasses from LeeZu. For the jewelry I decided to go with a simple high neck collar and ready was the styling 🙂 Even if I might have not bought this dress for my self, it turned out to soemthing I really liked ;). Overall it came out as a casual, but still stylish look that could be worn as an everyday outfit.

The Runway Perfect Hunt #4 – Part 5

TRPH #4 - DotBE close

The Runway Perfect Hunt goes in it’s 4th round :) . Morgane Batista again made it, to get amazing designers to participate in one of the most famous hunts on the grid. Even if the title says “The hunt with models in mind” does not mean this hunt is limited to models only. All the amazing and versatile designs are amazing additions to everybody’s wardrobe, even the males will find some amazing hunt prizes in some locations ;) This year the hunt is not a total freebie hunt, each hunt item costs $5 Linden. With a total of 50 shops you reach a maximum of $250 Linden, what is a great amount for so many amazing quality designs!

I always had a weakness for black & white outfits and stylings and as I saw the hunt prize from location #23, Dot BE Fashion I would not resist to do another totally black & white look ;).  Boniefacio, owner and designer of Dot BE Fashion, made a wondeful 2 part outfit called “Female Outfit” for the 4th Runway Perferct Hunt. The long black mesh pants with the wide sleeves reminded me of the good old flares of the 70s. Together with the long, geometric black & white textured mesh top it gets a light touch of a retro style. To do not another totally retro style I decided to add one of my favourite 80s look hair and the “Britsh Loafers” from Redgrave, what pulled it more towards the 80s. To give it another more modern touch I added the awesome “Dahlink Wild Zebra” makeup from Zibska and the “Lips Stripes” from Silken Moon, wich both went amazing with the black & white “Female Outfit” top :).

The Runway Perfect Hunt will last until the 30th of May so do not hesitate too long to grab your hunt prizes ;)

Gizza - Like a virgin full

Today when I was thinking about what to wear for my GizzA shift I was listening to Madonna’s song ‘Like a Virgin’ as I again was dragged in some 80’s mood. Yes I know, I have a fable for the 80’s and especially the music of that time.

I like to mix and match my outfits and so I started to look for a top that I could use for a basic for my styling. As I was trying the “Anna” gown from GizzA, I fell in love with the top part of it and decided to use it together with the collar. For the pants I chose the “Loose Denim Short”, a well from GizzA.  What I loked a lot was the glam looking top against the kinda used looking shorts. Usually you might think that cannot really go together, but for me it did :p . The leggings are one of the latest releases from LeeZu called “Glitter Tights” Together those parts made kinda an 80’s look for me so I went further and added the “Epaulette” shoulder piece and the cute Handkeys” in the music version. The mesh boots I found at J’s. Now I wanted to have a strong makeup that as well underlines the 80’s look and remembered the “Geometrie” makeup from *LpD*.  The wild, lightly messy hair “Dolce” from LeLutka was the perfect hairstyle to the whole look for me.

A last look into the mirror.. ready to go 😉

Bubbles Yellow 001

Sometimes when I just style for fun I try to make my self different tasks. Sometimes it is certain styles or even certain colors or color combinations. Today I was in a  little black and yellow mood after I tried one of the latest releases from Bubble’s Design. The “Tiffany Yellow” dress, that Bubbles released not too long ago brought me on the idea of the yellow & black color combination and I wanted to pull it through the whole styling and picture.

To the “Tiffany Yellow” dress from Bubble I added the newest shoe release from LeeZu, the “Piazza Navona” ankle boots. I love the non usual and crazy stuff anyways and this shoes just totally caught my heart. For this post I decided to go with the yellow ones but you can have them in nearly all colors at the LeeZu Mainstore. The “Anna” stockings I found as well at LeeZu.

To give it a little bit more craziness I added the “Cubism Shades” glasses from epoque & the back fan is a long time favourite of mine and I found them ages ago at [glow] 😉

My Second Pose Set together with News from Bubble’s Design!

Bubbles + Wicca Posen 001

Today I would like to show you one of the latest releases of Bubble’s Designs paired with my newest pose creations, the “Cool Handbag Set” by Wicca’s Wardrobe. As I put on the “Jackeline” outfit from Bubble’s Design I suddenly had the imagination of a 80’s styling :p

The sheer bodysuit with the amazing belt and shoulder collar that makes this wonderful, sexy and deep neckline in the back , immediately reminded of some of the early madonna stylings. Usually I am not a friend of pink but the 80s sometimes just scream about pink and so I added some pink with the lips, nails and the “Paris Pink Fashion Handbag” from MALT.

Then I looked for some cool trendy handbag poses… I went through all my inventory and I found quite some but all looked kinda elegant and sweet and I wanted some cool ones. So what now… make some!

WM - Poses Cool Handbag

I went back to my secret laboratory and started to make some poses that would go with the look I just created. I did some research on RL magazines and found a picture that caught my attention and I wanted to redo this in SL.

There was a girl that grabbed a fence with one hand and was kinda hanging from it, both feet at the ground and she was holding a bag! (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EEdePH-c1hw/T7AHK7Ir9sI/AAAAAAAAAKA/fPoyGbpdUp8/s1600/V%2Bpose%2B2-001.jpg)

That was as well the inspiration for the first picture of this post, that you can see above ;).

So if you wanna grab them.. I put them for sale a few seconds ago 😉 (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Napf/61/35/40)

Dare to be hip and colorful?!?

Today I have the great pleasure to welcome a new designer on my blog. Dani Plassiz, owner and designer of Styles by Danielle. We all know Styles by Danielle as a wonderful casual chic and elegant gown paradise. The more the outfit I wanna showcase today jumped my eyes as I entered the Mainstore.

I was told to pick me one of the wonderful outfits. After I saw the “Groovy Poa” outfit I tried to find one that is more representative for the wonderful creations of Styles by Danielle because I thought Dani will kill me, if I would choose the “Groovy Poa” for my first outfit to showcase. But my eyes always went back to that wonderful colorful outfit.

Then I saw the cool “Catina” booties and the matching “LP” jewelry set for the “Groovy Pow” and could not longer resist…

The “Catina” booties have a HUD with wich you can chnage the seams of the “Catina” booties to every color you want. The amazing black leather texture is made so realistic. you can see the shine and reflection of the lights… simply amazing.

The jewelry set carries the simple name “LP” and just tells what it is 😉 A wonderful set of little vinyl LP’s where you can change the middle color by a menu.

The Styles by Danielle Mainstore is really a paradise for lovers of elegant gowns, classy casual chic, city chic and even for the crazy people like me 🙂 All the textures are wonderfully made and put on the prims and layers.

Rocking all over the world with Prism!

Today I call Herradura Baar guilty for no sleeping long enough :p… Short before I was logging for the night she jumped in my IMs asking me if I got the latest release of Prism. I did not yet and immediately 2 versions of “Gisele” appeared in my inventory. Curious, as I am always if I get news from Journey McLaglen, I put the first one on… and as soon as it rezzed I fell in love and had the theme for pics in mind. In RL I am a musician and mostly I play rock music and “Gisele” asked for some rock chicks pics in my mind *giggles. And there they are 🙂 “Gisele” in Dancin (above) and Apple Tree (below) totally called me back to the 80’s. I am sure you can style them in many different ways but for me the 80’s rock theme stuck in my head 😉 As always the textures are totally awesome and perfectly made with the amazing skills of Journey. Her clothing always stood and stands for quality. “Gisele” comes with crazy colored, cool pants, a knitted top with an amazing scarf and the great belt. You should really make your way to the Prism Mainstore and find you personal favourite color… I know Journey for a while and I am sure she made more than this 2 color versions of “Gisele” 🙂

Keep on rocking!!!
