Culture Shock!!!

I made it to the Culture Shock sim… finally and I have to admit… you can go broke there *grins* So many designers made amazing new creations and items for that fashion event.

The 2nd annual culture shock event opened on May 4th 2012 and will close at the 26th of May. The event is meant as a charity for Doctors Without Borders (known also as Médecins Sans Frontières). This new event will feature art, music and of course – Fashion.

Every store has a mandatory participation of one NEW and EXCLUSIVE (for the duration of the event) item that gives 50 – 100% of the profits to the charity, however because last year we asked for THREE items, most people have more than the minimum.

To start with something I combined the “Lozenges” dress in black and white from [Sakide] with the amazing “Brera” heels from YS&YS. But there are so many new releases and wonderful designs, that I have to part my Culture Shock styles in more then one blog post :p

In the meanwhile you can go and shop yourself crazy at the Culture Shock Sim (http://slurl.com/secondlife/CHIC/127/133/6)

New!!! Maven Strasse – The Prêt-à-Porter line by Elaera Maven!!!

(Outfits: Sweater: Maven Strasse – “Bulwark” sweater, Leggings: Maven Haus, Models: Wicca Merlin & Elaera Maven, Photographer: Adien Arun, Infamous Robot Studios)

Elaera Maven, genius designer of Maven Haus created a side label for his Prêt-à-Porter clothing – Maven Strasse!!!

Maven Strasse will be the name for the more ‘casual’ clothing of Elaera Maven. But it would not be Elaera if this just would be another usually casual wear… way not. He creates very fashionable and chic designs for the modern fashionistas everyday life. For example the great “Bulwark” sweater. I was very happy as he IMed me asking me, if I would pose for this amazing sweater! The “Bulwark” is a great start in a new casual era where you do not have to miss a very modern and fresh style that still is in a high fashion way.

The basic of this great top is a t-shirt layer that is combined with 4 amazing sculpted prims. The huge neck collar, 2 wrist cuffs and the amazing bottom that falls down your upper body like a neat bell, tight at the beginning and very wide and comfy at the bottom. With a very good eye for the detail the wool textures where fitted on the prims. Every part is connected perfect without a texture break to each other! The huge collar is made of 2 parts linked together, an inner one a bit higher and an outer one.

The wonderful “Bulwark” sweater is available in 8 fantastic colors – white, yellow, fuchsia, navy, green, gray, red and teal. It seems with this sweater a great start is made for a very interesting new part of the creations of Elaera Maven! Keep your eyes open and if you take a look at Maven House do not forget to peek for new designs under the name Maven Strasse 😉

Wicca’s Wardrobe – Autumn in pink? ;)

The autumn season usually seems very dark and grey or brown so I decided to try a bit with pink and white 😉 As you can combine all the LeeZu clothing so easy I decided to go with LeeZu… beside that my last wardrobe post had been a while ago 😉

What fits the best for a dark lazy autumn afternoon…? Exactly a pair of cool and comfy jeans and if they are so stylish and fashionable as the “Robin” jeans of LeeZu are you really can wear a jeans and still be a fashionista 😉 The top is a mix and match of 2 outfits also from LeeZu. The  “Valerie” blouse in old pink combined with parts of the “Mia Corset Pants” in white was the perfect mix for the feeling I was in 😉 To keep the comfortable and lightly ‘used’ look I chose the “All Star HiTop used” sneakers from Hoorenbeek and the great “Beat” Hair from Posh that includes the neat hat. For the jewelry part I used the “Zoee” earrings in metal from LeeZu, the “7 Luck ” bracelets form Mandala and the great “Perfect Hand Nails” in the short version from Mstyle.

Maybe you agree that autumn does not automatically mean less color and have fun by experimenting by yourself also 😉

Stay styled,

Wicca
