And again we are at Mainframe with the designs of todays post. I really love that event, it gives you so much crazy and awesome things to play with. Today I wanted to post something about that super amazing time portal from Ex Machina. It is a huge design, so I had to think about a way to showcase the full creation. I didn’t want to just stay in front of the portal and started playing with the idea of being swallowed by it :p – That was the outcome of that and I really enjoy that thought.

What happens if you have 3 different designs you want to showcase and you try to combine them – I love challenges like that :p

Today it was the new ears from CerberusXing called “Sceleratis Ears” – they are available at the TMD event for August – an add-on for those ears from Nefekalum Tattoos and that cool tongue from unstable.I didn’t yet wanna give up on my new scars from E.A.Studio either, so that was quite a fun challenge to make that all work together. In the middle of the night – my brain must have been already fried and  I was hungry – all of a sudden the idea for this picture grew in mind… so yes… here we go!

Selfie!

Lately real life is very time consuming – more than it used to be before Covid 19. As a musician and teacher you kinda double your hours with the same income than you had before. Classes need to be decreased to full fill the standard of hygienic behavior given by the state and online schooling takes ore time as well, as you need to learn all the new tools you need. It is ok, but with that SL time gets reduced a lot lately for me.

But all those amazing new releases – just dragged me to SL and I had to snap a quick picture to showcase at least a few of them today 😉 I am not a snapshot only person and so it as well takes time to post work the picture(s), which makes it not really more easy if you already are short on time… but times will bet better again, I am sure they will 🙂

A couple of days ago I was looking for days to find a nude, very pale lipstick for a very special look. I wanted to archive hat typical “dark smokey eyes against super pale nearly vanishing nude lips” look. I am wearing a very light, pale skin and all the usual nude lipsticks I found were too dark for what I was looking for – I have so many nude lipsticks in my inventory now… I probably never need to buy another in my whole second life 😉 . But like I said before none of them was working. While I sat here cursing and almost skipping my desired look with wearing my “everyday skin” I thought it would not hurt to ask in the LeLutka Discord channel, if anyone would know a very light, nude, nearly white looking lipstick I maybe could tint. I got one fast answer of a sweet Lady asking me if i would look for an applier, BoM layers or HD Lips for the new evolution headline – I was totally shocked by the thought of I would even get a chance to choose, since I could not find any of those matching my thought before! She had a store name in her Discord name so I went to the SL inworld search and looked for her store… CAZIMI!
I never heard of her store before but it turned out as a little  gem for LeLutka addicted people! She does offer BoM and other head appliers too, but she doesn’t treat the LeLutka cosmetics like stepchildren… No, she even privileges them! When Dima – owner and designer of CAZIMI – spied me at her store, she came down and poked me into the right direction for the super light nude lipstck she made. I tried a demo and already saw that the lips are incredible amazing fitted and textured. So I went ahead and bought the desired pack called “Trending HD Lipstick (Lelutka) Set 02 Neutrals” And guess what… it was PERFECTLY that color, that I needed for my skin tone! I will showcase that in one of my next posts as well, but while we were standing there and me being uberly happy and as well amazed by her work I could not resist to buy the colorful pack of the same lipstick with its rich and deep hued colors. The set is called “Trending HD Lipstick (Lelutka) Set 03 Colorful” and it is the lipstick I am using for my todays post. You get 8 rich and amazing colors with this pack – light blue, dark blue, light green, dark green, cyan, yellow and orange. What I do love a lot is that her lipsticks are NOT making that sadly popular thick, wide and pouty lips. It does look like a very natural lipstick with a little shine, which makes it very realistic looking.
I had no words how grateful I was for this amazing lipstick and especially the light, pale one I was looking for and while we were talking I peeked around the store a little more and found a lot of more useful, adorable cosmetics and nails. All cosmetics and nail polishes I am wearing for todays post are from CAZIMI. This is definitely a store, I will sort at the very top of my personal cosmetic stores. She does not only provide crazy makeup and nails, she as well has all kind of makeups, lipsticks and nails from cute to fierce and she keeps releasing new designs. So keep an eye on that wonderful store if you are looking for new and interesting, as well as very well fitting and shaped makeup.
I already posted the “Kanji” ears from .:E.A.Studio:. (HERE), but I wanted to use them again for a new gacha from .:E.A.Studio:. called “Domino Set”. It was available at the Kinky Event, but I am sure you will find it soon as well in Shina Shan‘s main store. The gacha is a pure earring gacha. You can gamble for 6 different earrings in various colors, which makes the gacha a full with 21 different possibilities to win. I tried to use all 6 different earrings on both ears. They are not rigged and so you can easily edit them and have fun with combining them differently.
The tattoo I am wearing with its incredible materials was made by Sir Skye Nefekalum, designer and owner of Nefekalum Tattoos. The tattoo is as well part of a gacha with 11 different, wonderful and extraordinary tattoos. It should be available at the Gachaland event and afterwards I am sure you will find it at the Nefekalum Tattoos main store.

The Approach…

Crazy times… Corona still holds the world in its hand and all of us try to do our best to fight it, even if we cannot see yet any success and things seem to get worse and worse. I know it isn’t the fact, but sometimes it feels like it. We are now in our second week without school in Germany. I am a teacher (usually in the mornings I do teach at a school) and I do have a tiny private afternoon tutoring company. Usually I am surrounded by kids all day and in the past I had days where that was quite exhausting. Always having 10 to 60 kids around you from 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon didn’t feel always easy but now that I see how it is to have none of them around – it doesn’t feel good either. I am lucky to have the possibility to hold online classes and have some one-on-one tutoring as well, but it doesn’t feel the same. Before the difficulties were the noise in bigger groups, or the kids being distracted by looking outside the window and now… the difficulties have changed. I never thought it could be that hard to explain something like mathematics to a child online only online… you talk a lot more trying to describe everything and if they have to draw triangles with certain length or certain degree angles. Most of them do not have the technical equipment to show you what they did, they usually only can take a snap with their cellphone and send it to me.. and if they spend already like 20 min to do that task and then something went wrong you can start all over again.

Certainly it has a positive side as well – I do not have the distance and the time to drive to school and back in the afternoon and I have the advantage of having an open bowser all the time to find answers I might not know out of the blue for certain questions, so I do not wanna whine or rage about it – I just discover everyday the differences and the different difficulties. Between all that I try to keep my Mom inside and safe – she is over 70 and recently had a brain tumor and chemo after it, so she is in the risk group for that damn virus as well. So my Second Life times at the moment are a little bit more limited and not as regular as I used to be, but I do not want to stop blogging and taking pictures completely as it feels like a little bit of resting time and holiday for my brain when I do that.

The pictures for todays post I already did  over a week ago, but I wasn’t able to post work them and write something about yet. So now the Cyber fair by ACCESS sadly is over but I am sure you can find all the goodies in the designers main stores already or soon.

First of all the amazing vinyl ensemble from A&Y called “Phex”, which is a combination of a long sleeved top and short pants with an awesome, realistic looking shine. It is decorated with straps and zippers and with the huge HUD you can change the colors for all different parts including the metals.

All the amazing accessories I as well found at the Cyber Fair, but like I said before I am sure you will find them most likely either already or soon at the designers main stores. The incredible face art done by Nefekalum Tattoos comes in 3 different versions. You can find many different tings in your folder. First of all the 3 different versions of the makeup it self. Black Tears only, Red Smudge only and a full version of both. Furthermore you will find appliers for head and body materials and the belonging erasers. On top of that, since all his tattoos are materials enabled, Sir Skye added a perfect projector (light source) as well, for you to use if you like.

Certainly I did need some cool nails and rings to complete my outfit and it was no question that the “Creature Claws” from CerberusXing were just the perfect choice. They are available in 3 colors (silver, onyx and gold) and rigged for Belleza Jake,  Signature Gianni, Maitreya and the female Slink hands.

The smart looking hair style was made by no.match. I love the wild top hair, the shaved sides and the fact that you still have 2 wisps at your ears. Like always for no.match hair styles you have different color packs and a fatpack available. The purchases will include a shaved hairbase as well, but since I do have my own shaved hair base I did not use it for todays post 😉

It was time again to built my own set – I found so many cool things at the Cyber Fair, I just had to. All you can see, from the backdrop over the drinks, food (weed) vending machine and the incredible animals, I collected at the Cyber Fair.

I would like to draw your attention a little bot towards the animals. The “Caged Biter” is available in 3 different colors. You can separate the animal from the cage as you can see in my pictures. The Biter is an animated mesh design and has adorable movements, which make it possible to have some more interactive looking pictures with the different poses or the animal.

I do have an immense fun at the moment with cyber and sci-fi posts as they open a whole new range for pictures and styles to me. We do not know what the fashion or environment will look like in our future, but for me that gives us a lot of room to experiment and the possibility of unending creativity 🙂

Sometimes it is worth to think before you speak…

I thought a long time, if I can do a post with pictures like that without getting a shit storm started… but the idea I had for that post or better, what brought me to do pictures like that had a very special reason. I thought for along time to talk about bullying or psychological violence. These kinds of hurts may not leave a mark on someone that can be seen, but that doesn’t mean it would not hurt exactly like those – sometimes even more than if you would get a punch in your side. Physical wounds usually heal after a while and then you won’t see them anymore, psychological ones sometimes never fully heal and shadow us sometimes till the end.

My Grandpa once told me something when I was younger. I was sitting beside him when I was taunted at school about not being/looking like the majority of the class. While he was putting an arm around me and tried to solace me, he talked to me. Back then I didn’t understood what he meant, but later when I was a grown up (if I am fully grown up yet? I have no idea…), I slowly started to realize what he meant. He said “You are the one that chooses, who can hurt you.  You are the one to allow people to hurt you. So always think about it seriously, if it is worth to allow someone to hurt you!” First when I heard that from him, I thought he just is old and has no clue what he is talking about. I forgot about that for quite a while until I was older.

 

I always felt that I am not a great fit to my class mates. I didn’t behave like them, I didn’t look like them and I did not even want to. Most of my class mates are sons and daughters from lawyers, doctors, judges or something in that way. I was a teachers daughter, not dumb, nor stupid. My father died of cancer when I was 7 and my Mom was alone with me and my 3 years younger brother. Thank to the state, my Mom got the state pension from my father as teachers in Germany are employed by the state. We were really lucky as my Mom did know how to work with the money she had. We never missed anything – we went on holidays in summer and winter, we got birthday and Christmas presents and I never heard my Mom saying no if my brother or me wanted some ice cream while we were shopping (only if we already had some or we just had lunch or dinner). I only felt it, when branded clothing became important for some people from my class. For example I had jeans – cool jeans – but they were no Diesel or Lewis jeans. I never cared about that, I am more a simple person. If I like something, I won’t look what brand it is from or look if it would be expensive enough to buy it. Not to mention that I was a Punk back then anyways so jeans had to be modified and ripped anyways before I wanted to wear them. But that exactly seemed to be the issue. First I thought it must be the clothing that did separate me from many of my class mates and why they started to laugh at me – as a child you cannot just walk away and do you own thing… you want to be liked and you want some friends. So I went home and asked my Mom, if I could have some Diesel jeans. Her response first was: “Why, what is wrong with yours?” and when I explained it to her she said: “Sure you can have a pair for your birthday or Christmas, or you can buy them from your pocket money if you have enough, because they are expensive” Certainly I first thought that would be unfair until I was older and realized that it wasn’t just my clothing or what kind of game consoles I had.

I never was a stick-figure Barbie doll like all my class mates – I was the only one that had curves pretty soon, a nice present from the women on my mother side family tree. I did a lot of sports, because I loved it and not because I wanted to loose weight, or because someone told me to do so. I started with Gymnastics when I was 4 (until I was 22), I enjoyed riding from when I was 6 and later on I tried Volleyball and Swimming, too. So I basically was busy the whole week, everyday with some kind of sports and on the weekends there were contests for those. But that did not count either, it just did count that I wasn’t a size zero and that again was enough for some kids to pick on me and making fun out of me. I have to tell you… if that happens, it hurts like mad and that will not heal for quite a while. Especially if you later on meet guys that ask you for a date and then tell you you would be so sweet and nice, but with like 5 to 10 kilos you would be even more nice. All this bulling and hateful hurt doesn’t help teens to build up any kind of self esteem, which is so important to resist these same idiots who try to hurt you.

But that is not what I was trying to talk about, I don’t want your pity, because my life changed over the years and I understood what my Grandpa was trying to tell me. I do have true friends now and I enjoy my life as it is now. But sometimes I really get mad when I see people, groups or even websites, that bash certain people or groups, They think it is fun and never even think about how bad they can hurt other peoples feelings. They think they are right to judge or dictate others. I often ask myself what it would give them to do that… I do not have a real answer besides that their own life must be so miserable that they need to destroy others lifes for their own happiness. If that would not hurt others so bad, I would even feel pity with them and their misery.

How desperate you have to be, if you try to find something to hurt another person with it?!?

Who do you think you are to accuse people with whatever you think you found out that would be worth spreading the word about?!?

What rights you have to destroy other peoples lifes or dreams with a “truth” you just built out of nothing?!?

Why you think you are the one to judge about others peoples looks – because you are so much better?!?

Why you think you are allowed to take a rise out of somebody?!?

NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO DO THAT TO ANOTHER PERSON!!!

I know I won’t change the fact, that it happens everyday, everywhere anyways if in Real Life or in Second Life. But if I can just get one person to think about, before they open their mouth about someone or type (even worse) anonymous comments on websites about someone –  I am happy. I am not saying that we can not gossip or talk with our true friends about others and have our own opinions, but there is a difference if you try to hurt someone actively or if you just talk to someone in private and share an opinion. We do not get along with all and everybody, but n the end it should be a “live and let live” type of spirit. Both worlds are big enough for all of us and there is no need to destroy or eliminate someone. PLUS… never forget what you do to others… can be done to you as well if the time comes!

Maybe you now understand my drastic pictures for todays post. They only were meant to make inner pain visible and catch the mood of this post.

So my wish for 2020  – for both worlds – would be:

Sometimes just think before you open your mouth about something or someone. Think about if you would hurt someone irrecoverably and if you only get the glimpse of a “YES”, just keep your mouth shut or delete your comment where ever it was supposed to go!
