Seasons of Couture – A Midsummer Night’s Dream

For the June 2013 issue of the BoSL Magazine, I had the great pleasure to work with Natzuka again. Our fresh crowned MVW 2013, was always a person I adored for her photography skills and for the person she is. So you can imagine how happy I was, when Persia asked me if I would like to work with Natzuka for a spread for Seasons of Couture… for sure I would like, what a question!

Seasons of Couture… what is that you might ask. Seasons of Couture is a special project by BoSL & Co. Over 20 of the best designers on the grid, created RL inspired seasonal styles. At the Seasons of Couture you can get the designs for 30% off the retail price, but only a 100 of each. After that 100 they will go with the regular prize to the designers Mainstores.

So Natzuka and me went to the Seasons of Couture store at the Renaissance Galleria. She was supposed to do the pictures and I thought she will choose the ones, that go best together for the pictures. As she asked me wich ones I liked the most… I totally was surprised and super happy and for sure 2 black designs by Azull Ash and  YK jumped into my eyes, as my most favourite color is black. Natzuka chose 2 great contrast colors to the black by ghee and SoliDea FoliEs and I got more and more excited what the pics will look like. She showed me some ideas of RL graphics and pictures, what she had in mind and my jaw dropped down. The ideas looked amazing and with Natzuka’s skills I was sure, if someone can pull that out, it is her. But we still needed 2 more outfits to make a total of 4 pics, with always the both of us and it really was a hard choice with all the amazing creations that we saw. All of a sudden Natzuka pointed on a pink dress and I saw her face expression… she looked lightly evil with a huge grin as her finger pointed towards a wonderful design of Bliss Couture but in pink! I got scared… she knows my pink allergy and I really thought she wanna torture me, but her face became all smooth and nice again, as she said: “I like this one” and my muscles relaxed again. She looked further and asked me what I think about a light green even some teal looking color to the pink and pulled me towards a design of Sonatta Morales. I thought it is a tough combination but if she can see it in front of her inner eye, I trust her. You can see exactly that combination on the picture above and it was one of the most amazing pictures I ever saw, so yes this woman really knows her job and I again got proved it did right by trusting her. For the last picture she decided to go on a gold and white combination, a very elegant one by Countdown and Azull Ash. If I look over all this 4 pictures I guess we found a real nice mixture that show, how many different styles you can find at the Seasons of Couture. Anyways if formal, elegant, avantgarde, casual or what ever you look for, you always will find something that matches your styling ideas.

Thetra Blackheart: “ Cherry Candy: Any lady wearing this outfit will be as sweet as the name! Cherry red gingham fabric dress adorned with cherries around the drop waist. Crinoline for that uplifting and puffy look while dancing at the Hop! Shoes, Hair, glasses, tattoo and bubble gum add to her adorable yet naughty look.

Rockabillie Rumble: This outfit screams ‘let’s rock and roll!’ leather jacket with the retro raised collar matches perfectly with this cotton vintage styled button down shirt. Denim jeans with turned up cuffs harbour his comb to keep his ‘do’ just right! Chain drive wallet and his camel cigarettes to keep him busy while at the Hop!”

Mayden Ushimawa: “The legendary 50’s! I love that years and that style! Jukebox and rock ‘n roll … this is life!!

For the woman I made ​​the typical dress with wide skirt with a cherries texture and a red pullover.The hair is also typical of those years. Glasses, shoes and hair are included.For man the classic hair and sideburns with a tuft. The shirt is reminiscent of the uniform of the players bowling. belt with keychain rigorously with the billiard ball number 8, and cuffed jeans. In those years have a nice car would mean many things, so I added a bright red Cadillac unmissable! The Cadillac is intentionally represented jokingly, with funny girls happy to be led around by a beautiful boy. *lol*”

Lexi Vargas: “The male outfit is called Roundabout and the female one is called Fashion Go Round.”

Thetra Blackheart: “La Marioinette Danceuse! what more could u expect from this incredible outfit but the  epitomoe of Avante Garde Fantasy! Noire Velvet and lace accented with leather off set by hand embroidered silk. Mask, hair, and boots are perfectly suited to this masterpiece.  This outfit once worn will sweep you away to a place of no return.
Le Marionettist!  This ensemble is matched his dancer!   Thick midnight velvet,  accompanied by  silk, lace and leather have produced a fantastic masterpiece. The collar is single stitched leather stems accented with lace. Checkered pattern inlayed in sleeves behind strapping to bring more dimension to the arm, and thickness to jacket.  Riveted leather pants harmonize boots and jacket.  The   Imagination has no limits with this oufit!”

Mayden Ushimawa: “For this theme I took inspiration from nature.
For the woman’s dress I wanted to make a skirt that looks like a flower, enriched with three roses in the back. The hat is oversizeit is also a flower. colors are black, red and white and there are a sculpted underpants with diamond  to make it elegant and suitable for the evening.
For the man I drew a adherent black dress, with shoulders attach that give movement. on the hips are present attach white that remind of the shells. Running circles on the head and glasses are accessories that give a sense of future and avant-garde.”

Vixn Dagger: “Honor the Mother- Tribute to Gaia & Lord of the wood- Tribute to Cernunnos. For theses Pieces I wanted to represent Nature , the need for respect for it, and a reminder that Nature is not only beautiful…its Sacred.   These Two Pieces Represent The Celtic God of the Wood, Cernunnos and our Earth Mother Gaia…the ultimate Mother to us all.
Being both Earth Deities, I composed them with of that bounties & Beauties of nature…paying close attention to make it so that their leaves actually swayed with the wind and each of them composed of the unique Aspects of their Deity.”

Vanesa Jinx: ” Gagarose:  funny fancy dress ladygaga style in shades of pink and blue, with a sexy corset made ​​pasties, and large roses that give volume and shape, including makeup, hair, boots, socks – Gagarose is really funny.

Gagaguy: gaga-style costume, made of printed fabric, fantasy animal is in shades of yellow, kaqui and black with a colorful scarf that adds a modern and elegant, is accompanied by a hat, vest tenisy, these accessories will make feel very relaxed and cool.”
