As lasers shoot at him from different directions, Sark drops to the floor with a shoulder roll. Finding temporary safety behind a stack of crates, Sark takes a moment to check the energy level on his laser rifle and mutters a silent curse. Ten percent reserves.

After a quick mental count, he knows there are two combatants near the hanger door and one hiding behind a steel pole near the only other exit. Three targets and only enough energy left to take out one, if he is lucky.

In the sudden eerie quiet, Sark can hear them moving in to flank him on three sides. In less than a minute, he will be surrounded. This is going to get ugly.

Without warning, Sark bolts away from his sanctuary and runs straight at the biggest of the three. In his peripheral vision, he sees the other two – one to his right, one to his left – raise their weapons and take aim.

Just before they fire, Sark drops to the floor and slides on his back as he fires at the monster in his path. The giant in front of him drops instantly while the other two take each other out in the crossfire.

A nearly blinding red light flashes as a deafening klaxon announces the end of the game. CONGRATULATIONS SARK! LEVEL 38 WINNER!

Billy jumps up from his desk chair and pumps a fist into the air. Eat my dust, Tommy Jefferies, he shouts.

Orange & Black – Warm & Vibrant!

Today I was not sure what I wanted to do, except playing with the combination of a strong color and black. Since I did that often enough with red, I wanted to do something with a more vibrant color and as well bring in my spring mood into it. That was why I chose to go with a light orange that kinda dips into yellow – or I had too much honey in my tea lately :p

I wanted to use one of the pose props that I got during the last Exposeur sale. ” The Minimalist” had such awesome poses to it and it did give me the possibility to play some more with projectors as well since the ball to pose on is surrounded by a black box where projectors, shadows and lights will work amazing.

Recently I found out, that you can have more than one shadow if you work with different projectors that have different colored lights. If you hit the right angle and play with your windlight you can produce amazing effects. This time I was aiming for one darker and one lighter shadow.

When I started to look for some yellow/orange things in my inventory I stumbled across the “Honey” makeup and eyes from Queen of Ink and when I saw that… I just had to fool with it. That probably was the moment when I was sold to the orange/yellow part of the pictures :p

I more and more love my unplanned shoots as it is like playing roulette.. you never know what it will be and it is somehow a challenge to bring all the parts you have together if you do not think about everything before you start 😉 Maybe I should think about color or theme challenges for myself and have one each month… I do have to think about that, that could be fun!

For now I hope you liked my color and shadow play as much as I did 😉

Fears, Anxieties & Nightmares…

I still cannot believe it… I was invited to an Art Gallery as an artist!

Not too long ago I was IMed by someone, that told me if I ever would have considered my pictures as art…

I was quite speechless, because until now I never thought about making art I just made pictures for my blog posts*giggles*

But now I would like to talk a little bit about the guy that found me 😉

John (Johannes1977), owner of the Windlight Gallery and the Windlight Magazine.

He and his partner, the lovely Emma Portilo, created that amazing place and Magazine that features new, aspiring artists as well as experienced and popular artists of Second Life.

To have such a place, is something very precious as you rarely will find something like that… giving young and new artists the same chance as already popular and well-known names.

When he asked me, if I ever thought about having an exhibition or show for my pictures, I nearly did faint…

I really could not believe, that an experienced and well-known artist would consider my pictures art and it took me some days to get familiar with that thought*giggles*…  you can ask him, how insecure and excited I was…

He was so nice and kind and encouraged me for quite some time, until I dared to agree to try it.

Now I had to think about making art… what did not make it easier*chuckles*

I thought back and forth what I could do and I guess, I kinda ‘over thought it’ as I did not find anything that I thought would be as good to be displayed. Then I just slapped myself and forced myself to not think too much and just do what I feel.

The idea was to have several different pictures for the gallery, but when i started making some pictures I more and more came across, that I wanted to tell a little story with my pictures.

I ended up with 2 different series, which were born out of 2 totally different visions.

The first one is the one I have on this post.

I called it “Chased…” as a work title. The idea behind was that in our lifes we are running from fears, nightmares and anxieties, just because it is something we do not know better.

So the steam punk looking fishes are kinda synonymous for all those things we run from.

Sometimes we even feel attacked or even bitten by those and try to defend us and survive or get rid of them at least for the moment.

But what, if we stop running and turn around facing them?

Maybe we can get them known better and all of a sudden they are not anymore formidable? It might not work for all of them but with some we maybe can make our peace after some time?

It might now work with all, but for many it can, at least for some it was like that for me. And in the end you might be able to go along with them like I did with swimming together with the fishes instead of always running from them 😉

The days getting shorter, colder and less colorful. But also darker and fewer colors can be very fashionable 😉 For example the “Bon Voyage”  outfit from LeeZu. Part of the NOIR series this outfit comes in a male and a female version.

“BonVoyage” for males is a great black opaque body suit. The basic black texture that we can see for the pants also is repeated in the combination of awesome textures.

Basically it looks like a simple bodysuit, but if you take a closer look and look at the prim attachments you will realize the amazing design ideas and skills with wich LeeZu can make every outfit to something special.

The big legs sleeves, hand attachments, elbow attachments and the huge shoulder parts. All created with a fantastic eye for details and wonderful skills for creations and design! The female version is not a fully opaque body suit… it has this sexy laced parts at the top. The private parts are perfectly covered and still you can show a lot of stunning lace covered skin what accents your shape even more 😉

Overall a perfect outfit for the actual season anyways if male or female… with the “BonVoyage” you are perfectly dressed if you take care of your style 😉

Wicca’s Wardrobe – Red against Green?

Lately I was in a very strange mood and I was thinking about something strong… I wanted colors *grins* I took my Ohmai “Contour” body suit as a basic to play with strong colors. First I remembered about an old corset that I bought once from Trilobite, the “Leather V Underbust” in verde. Perfect, that makes a nice waist 😉 So now what goes with the green and is as strong…maybe some red? The “Siren” boots from Hoorenbeek are the perfect contra *grins*

With the “Contour” jacket from Ohmai the look was perfect…

For the skin I chose one make the new “Trinity” skin from Redgrave. The fantastic eye makeup was done by White Widow. It is the green version of the new “Wings” face tattoo from Julie Hastings.

Suddenly I met Arisia.. she saw me, yelled at me to do the pictures for the new “Wicca II” set and she told me right to go with this styling… said… done 😉

And again I had the great honor to be the model for the newest release of Body Talking – the “Wicca II” set.  🙂

Finally, after few months, she can release the second part of the “Wicca Merlin Set”. This set of 10 poses is a casual yet high fashion with that fierce touch that I really love!

For both – “Wicca I” and “Wicca II”, Body Talking made different variations to match all outfits and shapes 🙂
