Wicca’s Wardrobe: LOTD 03/29/2012 – A Chorus Line meets Madonna

Today it was relatively quiet and I roamed through my inventory, cleaned some out and sorted some in. In that process I tried a few things, I never looked at for in ages. I am sure you know what I mean, if I say, I went shopping, bought some stuff I would like to blog and it got hidden behind all the stuff I had to blog in my inventory*lol*

While I was playing around I got the movie/musical “A Chorus Line” in mind and I have no clue why. My i-tunes was playing Madonna songs and then suddenly as I was trying the “Esher Sheet Tights” leggings with the “Esher Wrap Vest” from ISON, that were sold during the event on the epoch sims, an idea got stuck in my mind… The wonderful corset comes from NV Corsetry and it was the hunt item for the Womens stuff hunt. Originally it came with a full outfit, but for this post I just took “The Ritz Corset” of it.

While I was developing my look I just remembered that Wenadrenia Soderstrom, owner and designer of J&W Jewelers, told me she made new jewelry and she sent me a few samples. For this jewelry, there has to be another post as she has so many new sets and works on a wonderful charity project as well, but like I said that has to be a special post soon 🙂 Nevertheless I wanted to give a short sneak preview of what she created last and as I tried the first set it so matched what I was aiming for. The “Snake-skin & Silver” set of the “Brooks Collection” with all its circles in silver, snake-skin, brown and black really made a great addition to the whole look. The earrings with the tassels hanging down, the necklace with the circles and tassel, the huge bangles and the belt totally matched my imagination 🙂

Last but not least I took a the hat of the “Love for McQueen” outfit, done by RFyre and looked into the mirror… yes that’s what I had in mind 😉

News by NV Corsetry & [sys]!

Today it was time to create a crazy art look again and the new “Commedia Del Arte” outfit from NV Corsetry combined with the new “Vogue” ankle boots from [sys] brought me on this style.

The “Commedia Del Arte” outfit is a full outfit that contains one of the incredible corsets of NV Corsetry. The outfit itself can be worn in different ways. You have 2 corsets to choose from, one with black and one with white ribbons. For this post I went with the black version. An alpha layer as well included makes it even easier to wear this amazing corsets, if you do not wanna fiddle around too much with the fitting :p. As well for the skirt you can decide if you wanna have the short mini version that I am wearing for the post ir if you wanna go with a bigger skirt that is open in the front. The wonderful puffy sleeves, the huge collar and the cute hat with the red roses are as well part of the full outfit.

To bring the red of the roses back I decided to go with the new “Vogue” ankle boots from [sys] The red version of this awesome booties has some dangerous looking cool spikes at the heel in the back. The red leather is just amazing detailed and looks very real. The heel is covered with silver metal plates and carry the hot sharp spike that you as well can see more little in the front. The back of the booties is open and just decorated with amazing filigree lines. To make it look perfect, [sys] included part of a barefoot for the back or the feet. You can tint that to match your skin color with a HUD that comes with.

A “Starry Night” with NV Corsetry…

Today I would like to showcase one of my favourites of NV Corsetry. Even if it is hard to pick as they have many amazing corsets and all are different. As I wrote, before NV Corsetry has different levels of corsets. The basic ones, some with an advanced look and some that come as full outfits. I would call the “Starry Night” corset one of the advanced ones. It is not just the basic corset, the white puffy part under the chest is part of the corset. I made myself the challenge to style a look around the “Starry Night” corset. I wanted to repeat the white puffy part of the chest, an elegant look and for some reason I always had a snow queen in my mind :) . Today I wanted to do something non usual and funny, just to show that corsets are not only lingerie or something that cannot be worn in your everday life like I said before on my blog. I am a corset addicted in both lifes, RL and SL and so for sure I enjoy wearing them in both lifes. Before I discovered NV Corsetry the fun was not that big as not many really good-looking corsets were around that really looked realistic. NV Corsetry for me brought an awesome revolution for corsets. This corsets are no clothing layer they are actual prims that are scripted. With the scripts you are able to fit this corset to any kind of shape, anyways if tall or small, thin or curvy. The special scripts allow you to resize the corset in every direction… width, height and depth! For the first time you will maybe need sometime to figure the right sizes but if you once got, it is really easy. Mesh News at Baboom!!!

And again she did it! Kyra Camel, owner and designer of Baboom surprised me with an awesome new gown with great mesh parts! In the pack you have included 2 sizes of the mesh corset so you can choose with one fits you better. The “Glamour” gown is a wonderful elegant and sexy gown for any formal event. The wonderful mesh corsage without any shoulder lines gives a great base for awesome jewelry. For the “Glamour” gown Kyra included a cute and filigree mini set of earrings and necklace. The amazing gloves are decorated with awesome ruffles at the upper end and are made of 3 prims for each glove. The skirt is open on the front but covers what it has to 😉 There is a pair of wonderful, elegant shoes as well that come with the gown, but you know me I always need something edgy to elegant gowns so I chose one of my all time favourites from Mea Culpa, the “Raptor” shoes :p.What caught my attention was the huge headpiece with the amazing filigree veil. Wicca’s Wardrobe: Burlesque

Today I would like to tell  little story again that this pictures, made by Daron Brandeis, have attached. The first picture, was the entry for the BOSL covercontest and was choosen into the Top 5 on Frolic Mills flickr stream. Sadly it did not make the cover but never the less it really was fun 🙂

I already blogged more then once the great new corset brand NV Corsetry. Their corsets are really amazing and I felt really honored as I was chosen to be part of the BOSL fashion spread of NV Corsetry. I already blogged many different styles with the corsets of NV Corsetry and for sure the burlesque theme was kinda bullseye for a styling with those corsets. In the burlesque aera, corsets were very popular and you could not think any styling without them nearly. I would like to showcase the stylings I made for the BOSL fashion spread, as I really had fun doing them and it shows another possibility for wearing the amazing corsets from NV Corsetry.

For the first look I got the “Ordained” corset and the short body from NV Corsetry and for the rest of the look I had my freedom to choose what I wanted, according to the challenge to create a burlesque outfit. I roamed through google and saw different pictures of amazing burlesque stylings, but one got stuck in my mind. It was a relativly modern picture but the girl had combined fishnet tights with cool boots and a litte hat. I remembered the “Rosenkavalier” hat from Rozoregalia and it matched perfect to what I wanted to go for. Fishnet tights I found on marketplace and for sure feathers and the long cigarette holder could not be missing. Them I found at !dM deviousBeauty out of their ‘Fetish Cabaret’ collection. I like the little details so I added one of those velvet chokers I saw on so many pics with the little rose in the front and the gloves of the Betty outfit from Angel Dessous. The awesome “Burlesque” boots, made by [GOS] made the perfect finish for Look No. 1 🙂

Look No. 2 was not that easy as the “Wrath” outfit from NV Corsetry comes with a long black latex suit. Latex was not that popular and known in the times of the burlesque aera. So I had to think harder for this look to make it work. First I slipped into my red BAX ankle boots. as red and black was used often for burlesque in the past. Then I made my way back to !dm deviousBeauty and took another look on their ‘Fetish Cabaret’ line. I found one outfit that had interesting huge red feathers for the hips, waist and head and as well a red feather boa that came with matching poses to wear it. The black “Wisper” boa I took from Miamai out of the ‘inMutatio’ collection. The 2 huge black fans were provided by Maya Paris.

I hope you liked my little trip into the burlesque aera 🙂

[sys] released a lot fo great new things. Today I wanna show you the new “Nymphe” eyelashes and the “Doom” boots.

Tha amazing “Nymphe” eyelashes are made of sculpties. So no more black bricks around the eyes as you do not have to rezz any alpha layers anymore. The combination of that black lashes and the silver-white gems really gives the whole face a very special modern and elegant touch.

The new “Doom” boots are just made like I love it. You can wear them with or without spikes and as well yo can combine them with so many different looks, anyways if casual or elegant. It just depends what you aim for with the full styling. The boots are so awesome detailed that you can see even every stitch for the leather and cool spikes and lines are looking very realistic.
