Mayden Ushimawa for “Claim the Fame” – Week 2 – Formal

For the first week of Claim the Fame the designers had to create a formal attire for male and female and make a description that was read during the TV Show on Metaverse TV. (http://metaversetv.com/blog/2011/04/claim-the-fame-2/)

All designs of the Claim the Fame Shows are available at the KULT District (for surl please click here)

Mayden Ushimawa:”To make the “Monica” dress I was inspired by a memorable evening of spring. The dominant color is white, this is a pure color and different from the usual formal dress. Lace makes the dress most elegant. The collar with plumes and the flexi skirt gives movement to the dress.

For the “Brian” outfit I took inspiration from the very beautiful RL models, with a perfect body and a face to be kissed all over. For this reason I created this outfit. It gives the impression of a man who has just escaped from a crowd of girls, a bit messy and not even having the time to wear his jacket.”

Marita Overland:”Wicca wears a lovely white gown consisting of a scuplted top and half skirt.  You can’t help but notice the stylish silver armor on the shoulders and waist along with a structured bow in the back.  As if the skirt wasn’t elegant enough, it glitters even more with a second layer of fabric.  The shoes are also included in this romantic, yet edgy, ensemble.

Harsch is wearing the “Romeo” version of the formal wear. A miliary style jacket and pants, in white and gray, are a wonderful compliment to his “Juliet”.  The jacket is adorned with a high collar, cuffs, armored shoulders and belt.  The boots are also included with the outfit you see here.  Seemingly for seeing his own fate, the belt includes the poison he will take his own life with and the dagger Juliet will use to perish herself. True love never looked so stylish.”

Lexi Vargas for “Claim the Fame” – Week 2 – Formal

For the first week of Claim the Fame the designers had to create a formal attire for male and female and make a description that was read during the TV Show on Metaverse TV. (http://metaversetv.com/blog/2011/04/claim-the-fame-2/)

All designs of the Claim the Fame Shows are available at the KULT District (for surl please click here)

Lexi Vargas, designer of  Brocade Tiger, brought a neat firework of amazing textures with the “clockwork” couple outfit that was not just formal in my view 😉 As well I saw a light steampunk touch in that as well what really touched my soul 😉

Lexi Vargas:”‘Lady Clockwork’, a striking formal gown in the Steampunk tradition. A three-layered skirt gives depth with two layers of striped fabric topped with a draped and partially jeweled top layer in the signature clock print fabric. The fitted, square necked bodice is a combination of the striped and print fabrics and the same theme carries into the beautifully shaped and traditionally fitted sleeves embellished with puffs at shoulder, elbow and wrist. The whole ensemble is drawn together by a semi opaque bow and drape effect that makes a dramatic silk waterfall down one side of the gown. Sure to be an eyecatcher at any formal event where Steampunk/Victorian dress is required.

The male model strikes a dashing note in ‘Lord Gear’, a formal outfit that has its roots steeped in Steampunk tradition. There is much attention to detail in this suit. A duel fabric jacket of chocolate leather and striped fabric skims the shoulder line, with the same effect carried into the pants. These clever styling details make for a simply stunning outfit. The jacket lapels and collar are decorated with gears and cogs and the pants with buckles and straps. A cream satin edged shirt with frilled jabot collar and brooch completes the look. This outfit could be worn at any suitable formal occasion enabling the wearer to stand out from the crowd and it would certainly delight any Steampunk gentleman worth his cogs.”

Inga Wind, Designer of Inga Wind Designs, started with “Penelope” and “Bartelby”, a wonderful details and lovely looking couple outfit.

Inga Wind:”Penelope” is an amazing blue formal dress. The basic is made in a non symmetrical manner that makes a bare right shoulder while the left shoulder is decorated with an amazing detailed sculpted prim. The top layer has a very elegant texture that is broken by an awesome lace stripe that runs diagonal from the right upper to the left hip.
The skirt as well continues the non symmetric look. On the left side it goes further down with a wonderful ornamented sheer texture that is framed by an opaque looking satin border and the left is lightly shorter.
Gloves, shoes and the lovely headpiece come with the whole outfit so you have no trouble to match the right color and look.

“Bartelby” was made to match “Penelope” perfectly. The black basic makes a wonderful tailcoat with amazing flexible prims in the back, where the seams carry the same texture that you already saw on “Penelope” as well the little neat bow tie. The white shirt shows off folds and shadows in a very realistic way. Collar, bow tie, cuffs and Sleeves are made of sculpted prims what ad as well a very realistic touch. The black pants complete the elegant male look and the sash round the waist again shows off the amazing blue texture decorated with filigree ornaments and buttons.
“Penelope” & “Bartelby” are the perfect couple for the perfect couple :)”

Can swimwear be avantgarde or couture? – Mad Diva shows it!!!

I never thought about that it would be possible to wear a bikini and still show my love and addiction to the extraordinary fashion 😉 Kalyabreeaa Capelo showed me different. She made a bikini, named “Yula” that totally will be my choice for the upcoming summer season!

The whole “Yula” bikini is made of prims, no clothing layers at all but it covers all needed parts 😉 The basic color is a mixture of black metal and red… again a plus as that are my favourite colors as well 😉 For the shoulder ring you can decide between a straight one like I am wearing for the pics, that goes around both shoulders and then there is another version that more diagonal and lays on one shoulder higher than the other. Swimwear goes couture 🙂 I guess Kalybreeaa Capelo, designer of Mad Diva showed of in an incredible way that this os possible and very sexy as well 🙂 You really should make your way to the Mad Diva Mainstore and see by yourself how innovative and new all the designs are! Or you can watch the Claim the Fame shows on every Wednesday as well where Kalyabreeaa Capelo is one of the contestants as well and shows a male and female outfit every week 😉

Avantgarde News at [sys]!!!

I was very impressed as I got my first [sys] outfit and tries it on… for sure I saw some of them and I really liked them but having an own one even feels even more great 😉 The “Lydo” dress is a very short and very sexy dress with an extraordinary style that you do not see on every corner 😉 So for me it was the right stuff to find a matching scenery I liked to showcase it in. I wanted to some powerful and strong along with some movement or action… as the light future touch and the trial to combine futuristic style with avantgarde looks.. goes right to my heart.

So, lets take a closer look at the dress… the basic layer is kinda black corset layer that is done amazingly detailed with shadows and lights so that the folds and all the great little buttons! The top has a chest attachment and another attachment you can see for the skirt part. In the back we have a huge ribbon that kinda closes the skirt or even if a nice decorations as well 🙂  Again we see how great the skills of the [sys] sisters are if you take a closer look on the lines that close the corset in the back.. so detailed and plastically. Stockings and gloves are as well part of the whole outfit. The skin I am using for this post as well is from [sys] and it is called “Ysis”. The teal lips and eyes and the wonderful ornaments round the eyes made this skin perfect for the outfit 🙂

To see all the other great futuristic and avantgarde designs of [sys] you should make your way to their Mainstore and take a look by yourself 😉

Head Up Guys…Attention*drumroll*… New Male Suit at R:A:D!!!

Attention guys..lately I catched Redclaw Inshan, designer of R:A:D – Red Alert Design, wearing his newest creation.. and for sure I had to snap it 😉 we ladies always want you guys dressed fashionable 😉 so take a look at the new R:A:D “Dragon Suit”!

The “Red Dragon” is an amazing black suit with red asian ornaments that break the basic black texture in a fantastic way. No more boring black suits for the fashion loving guy 😉 With this suit you definatly will turn heads and show character! The suit basically is made of pants, shirt, waistcoat and jacket… and now…also the shoes are included! If you take a closer look you can see the brilliant texture with the great folds that really give this suit a very realistic look. Not only made with a plain black texture, the lights and shadows are perfect set! It really seems the texture fits every movement and pose… simply awesome!

Lets get rid of the jacket to see the great waistcoat 😉 Made with an amazing detailed texture lightly asian looking, this vest really caught my eye. Like a trade mark for the suit every part of the outfit has one asian ornament on it as we can see here on the left side of the chest in black. The tiger and dragon ornament really makes a great eye catcher on the waist coat.

If you take off the waistcoat… and take a closer look you will see that also the shirt carries different asian ornaments on the chest and the back. If you take a very close look you also can see how filigree the label is embed into the ornament itself 🙂 The shirt also is made with an amazing texture that shows the folds very detailed and perfectly. The light pine-stripes that decorate the short again show the eye for the detail of  the designer Redclaw Inshan. What caught me here, was the neck collar.. usually I know the conventional one..but this one is different.. and as you know I like the “different things” *winks*.  The collar is very cool surrounding the neck fully closed with a little button on the font that continues the button line of the shirt itself :)… the eye for the detail makes the good designs 😉 The pants also carry an asian sign to underline the style of the whole suit ;), so the asian signs go over all parts like a red line 😉

Nearly not to believe even the shoes are part of that great outfit and matching every color the suit comes with! Also decorated with an asian ornament on the top of the shoe this shoes are a totally eye catcher too! For sure the belt that you can see on the next picture also is included to the outfit 😉

For now I saw 3 different colors, the “Red Dragon”, the “Purple Dragon” and the “Silver Dragon”… but I am sure if you really need or want another color… you can contact the designer and see if you can make a good deal for another color as well 😉

All parts of the outfit comes in all layers you need to mix and match every possibility!!!

Overall I would take such a sharp dressed man for a night out with me 😉 If you wanna see all the other great designs made by R:A:D simply take the TAXI (or click HERE http://slurl.com/secondlife/LM%20Maldives/56/198/22) and take a look by yourself..you will see it is worth it 😉

R:A:D – Partners in Crime…erm…Fashion! Boots for the perfect partnerlook ;)

R:A:D – Red Alert Design… a new upcoming fashion label for all brave ones that dare to be different! Show your character and your personality with extravagant clothing beside the mainstream! Young, modern, fresh, powerful and smart – if you are something special and wanna show it your should definitely now make a new mark on your shopping list. Genius and extraordinary designer Redclaw Inshan creates fashion that’s absolute trendy and hardly to outdo. Edgy and fierce designs meet elegance and class for everyday clothing! Both genders will find something for their needs in the R:A:D Mainstore… ladies and gents you should take a look 😉

For today I would like to show you a few creations out of his new shoe line where him and her can go partners in fashion with a fabulous partnerlook for the footwear…

First design are the “Dragon Boots” for us ladies 😉 This amazing sculpted boots are the highlight for every outfit. Every part is very well-shaped in every little prim and all that lovely details show off the skills and the eye for the detail of designer Redclaw Inshan.

I was really impressed as I realized all the options that you get with this pair of boots… first, with the boots comes a HUD that let you change the colors for most of the prim parts to every color you can thing off as it works over a big colorfield that makes really every color possible. That’s not all.. also the basic color of the boots can be changed always to 5 brilliant colors so it will be always matching anyways what you wear 😉 The 5 basic colors are black, red, blue, green and purple and I will show all of them in this post ;). But lets take a closer look at the possibilities for changing the colors of the primparts… if you take a look at the picture above you can see that I shot 2 times the black basic with different colored accessories. On the left I changed spikes and chains to gold. So the great golden chains frame that awesome silver dragon that ornaments the outsides of the boots. On the right picture I kept the golden chains and changed the spikes only to a dark grey what gets the same awesome metal touch still. The basic fabric for this version of the boots is a plain leather one with amazing lights and shadows that bring out the dragon perfectly.

For the “Dragon Boots” also you can have a very special version… the “Dragon Boots – Dragonscale Version”

There we have already the other 3 colors beside red and black – green, purple and blue. This time the basic is not just a plain leather one it looks like a very well done dragonscale texture. For the accessories parts you also have that HUD that let you change the chains and spikes to each and every color.

The silver dragon that ornaments again the outside of the boots again is a totally highlight. If you take a closer look you can see how filigree and detailed it is! In the picture above you can see that you really can change the color of chains and spikes to what ever you want 😉

Now it’s the time for the males!!! 😉

Head up guys… there you can compete now with your girlfriends fashion and style! The “Spiked Dragon” boots for male open the world for the fashion aware males! The fantastic dragonscale texture also is the basic for the male version also, same for the color changing for chains and spikes…

There is only one light difference for the male version… the basic color keeps black…BUT the dragons change color! You can choose between 5 preset colors – silver, green, blue, red and gold!

If you take a closer look you also can see the realistic side of the shoes… at the inside of the boots there are no spikes at all as it would be really painful *grins* Even that detail was taken care of for males and females. So guys now you cannot complain anymore about not having stylish and extravagant boots 😉 With the “Spiked Dragon” boots you are definitely up to date!

Last but not least for today – the “Cobra” boots…

Again we have a plain leather version as a great basic in the 5 preset colors black, red, purple, green and blue.

As we have it for the female “Dragon Boots” you can change the color with the HUD for the prim accessories and even for the eyes of the snake. This boots as you can guess by the name have an amazing cobra that decorated the outsides of the lower legs.

Again… it is amazing how very well every little detail is done.. for example take a closer look at the snake head.. you can change the color of the eyes as I mentioned and also you can see the sharp poison fangs very clear.. simply awesome! And all boots can be resized via the HUD too that is delivered to every pair of boots!

Ladies and gentlemen… make your way to the R:A:D Mainstore and take a look by your self on that great boots who re displayed in glass vendors to take a real look on them… dare to use the arrows and you maybe will find even more styles and versions of that great boots 😉 and stay tuned on new releases 😉
