Playing with self-built sets becomes more and more fun :p
I never thought, that I can do that. I see so many amazing builds and sets from other bloggers and I adore them for doing that. When I try that especially with furniture and houses, I always have the feeling I am doing something wrong – I have no clue why but it never looks like I want it :p
That is why I mostly used inworld locations for that kind of pictures. But sometimes, if you are not allowed to rezz, sometimes you come across the issue, that you can’t place your avatar as properly as you would like.
Building your own set means, you can do what ever you want and place yourself as you like. As I said before, I leave the natural settings of wonderful landscapes and realistic environments to those who can do way better than I am :p , but I lately found my challenge in some editorial, artistic looking sets. a great help with those are for example stores like 22769, E.V.E Studio, DRD, Newchurch, striped mocha and Nomad, to just name a few of my favorite ones 😉
E.V.E Studio I do like for their very artistic creations. I love the way Noke sees her art in a very colorful and futuristic world. Her imagination seems to have no reigns and I really do love that as it inspires me a lot.
The “Cyber Flower Pins Lights” were one of the releases of E.V.E Studio and when I unpacked them, I immediately wanted to do something with them, even if I did not know yet what or how…
The “Cyber Flower Pins Lights” come in 4 different versions – one with and one without fireflies on them. With 8 different colors the structures are perfectly to create a set or use them for deco. To get the full beauty of the flower pins I suggest you turn the advanced lightning on. The flower pins are mod and you can resize them or even play with the lights, something i highly appreciate as you have control over the brightness and sizes and can customize it to your picture idea.
The look for this picture, was not easy in the beginning. I experimented with some cyber futuristic things first but for what ever reason it looked always wrong. Then I tried with something romantic/mystic but again it felt wrong. I kept the flowers up and gave up on the look for a few days, as I experienced if you try to force something together it never will look ‘right’ and taking pictures is just no fun.
Another day I came across the “Trianon” dress, which was released for Collabor88 before. I totally loved the asymmetric look of the dress with the one side jacket. With the longer part on the jacket side we have some amazing ruffles and an amazing detailed shoulder part, while we have a very clean look on the other half with kind of tight body suit. I added the “Occult Sleeves” from a jacket I found at ISON, as I felt something was missing for the look I wanted to have.
The cool hair was made by [sys] as well and is called “Shinzo” with the option to color some wisps they were perfect to the “Trianon” dress colorwise and the sweet rose added a romantic touch to it. The collar as well is part of the “Trianon” dress. With all the pink in the outfit I decided to put some pink on the set as well and used the “Dancing Petals” in pink as well from E.V.E Studio.
Again I has great fun pushing prims and working on my own set, even if doing inworld shots on wonderful sims and locations is fun too and will happen again soon I am sure 😉
