OMG it is BoM!!!

And again I am coming to you with the new Evolution Line of LeLutka heads – this time with Nova!

The new Evolution Line of LeLUTKA, does hold so many amazing news for the heads that you really need some time until you have them figured out fully and every second is worth it. Today I decided to go with the “mature” feature of the materials. When I took a closer look I was able to see all the cute wrinkles at the outer eye corners and the cool ones on my forehead and between the eyes above the nose. I guess that will be my everyday look now for the new head generation, as I love t to not look like a young woman anymore after all that time I was in SL now*grins* What I found out too was, that I can play with the intensity of the materials as well as the environment influence, which again opened a complete new world for me for future posts!

What I wanted to test now too, was if the amazing Axis HUD from LeLutka would still work with the new heads and – surprise surprise – it DOES! That means even if i got so many new moods and expressions I still may do my own or alter the ones that are included in the HUD.

I never was full sold on the new BoM features besides the new LeLutka heads, so I was fooling around quite a while with a BoM head and a non BoM body. Since it seems to become more and more popular (even if I still do not really see the mega advantage of it for the body) I thought I will give it a try with the “Maitreya Bakes on Mesh Relay HUD” for the Maitreya Body which is sold on MP for 0 L$ (link to the item in my credits below). What I do like with the Maitreya body, is that I still can use my appliers in addition to the new BoM feature and my alpha HUD still works normal.

So what better I could try first on my BoM enabled body than wearing one of my most favorite designers from the past days… LeeZu!!! She sadly left Second Life quite a while ago but I still have EVERYTHING I ever got and bought from LeeZu in the past. I was working there for years as a store model and LeeZu, Barb and GM became true friends of mine. With that feelings and emotions behind it, I never was able to delete all the amazing creations and now, since we can wear layer clothing again, it was the first I tried!

And guess what… it worked! With her texture skills it even looks kick ass awesome on the BoM body. Her textures always were super detailed and knife sharp so she was already ahead of her time back then, which is no surprise to me as she always was one of the very best if it came to texturing and creating her own textures.

So even if I am still not really  a stalwart supporter of the cause, I definitely enjoy wearing all my LeeZu goodies again for now! We will see what the new BoM adventure will have for me the more I take my look into it 😉

“Am I Beautiful Yet?”
I’ve blinded my eyes with ornament. Replaced my limbs with ornament. Cut out my organs for ornament. Am I beautiful yet? I can dance for you. Watch me. I will never stop dancing. Never stop watching. Never. Stop. Or else.

For the the theme of ‘Freak Show’, I’ve put together this circus ballerina. Her limbs are wrapped in gold with pink accents, as well as barbs, some tinted with blood. Ballet is known for being brutal in its precision, and this type of decoration carries the metaphor visually.

Her face is obscured by a mask of similar style. Floral designs, especially that of the thorny rose, are prominently featured here almost like a religious icon. It is perhaps one of the most eye catching pieces of the style, in part representing her inability to see the world for what it is. She is blinded by her preconception of what beauty is, and is unable to appreciate the world around her.

Finally to pull it all together, the most unsettling piece is her torso body mod. Many strive for an hourglass shape, but the tragic ballerina has assumed a literal hourglass, complete with animated sands. Yet another clever visual metaphor representing the years of life she’s shaved off by taking her pursuit of the beauty ideal to unhealthy lengths and destroying parts of herself in the process.

The entire style combines fragility, obsession, suffering, and horror into a form of visual storytelling, in order to tell a very tragic story.

As stated above, the look was made for a special show hosted by Madd Modelz on the amazing “Uri Jefferson’s Freakshow” sim (SURL). We all had to write our own descriptions for our styles and presentation and I had in mind what I wanted to say but since I am not a native English speaker, it mostly doesn’t sound as I want it to be. This time I had great help from a dear friend – Tour Blanche, the partner of my sweet sister Consuela Blanche. He is a god with words and made my idea sound so amazing, that I could not just have it for the show. I wanted them to be visible for longer than the few minutes of the show and he allowed me to post them here on my blog. Thank you for that Tour ♥

Finally my favorite season arrived… October is here!!!

Now I can be freaky, scary and dark without being asked if I am ok or being called weird and a freak – not that I do really care during the year, but these days I can feel “normal” *giggles*

So the first one today – kinda my annual brake-free – features some new releases from Salt & Pepper and Nefekalum Tattoos and some of my long time favorites like CURELESS[+], UTOPIA@Design, Avanti and one of our latest releases, as it did fit in so nicely.

First I wanted to do a scary Medusa typical picture and the Salt release her “Guardian” for the Salem event. I t looked so cool, that I could not wait for another post and so I gave myself the challenge to find an idea, how I could use both. The result was the vision of a gatekeeper for an old, mystic cave with lots of cobwebs and spiders.

Recently I love to play with lights and projectors, as well as with new Photoshop tricks a lot. The result is, that I tend to use a plain dark background, to be able to add in some layers and basically try create the background in Photoshop. With additional lights and my new drawing pad it is a lot of fun to play with different brushes and as well even draw parts of it – even if iI really need more practice with that damn pad and pencil. Sometimes It feels even more easy to draw with the computer mouse, even if that sounds ridiculous for those who have more experiences with it.

I always loved strong contrasts. With many of my past pictures I wanted more depth as Second Life had to offer and now finally I found a way how I can do that with some tricks I found in Youtube tutorials. It took a while until they did what I wanted, but for me it was worth the time and I really found new inspiration and motivation with learning new techniques. It felt like unlocking new doors to have more possibilities to achieve what I was looking for a long time. I am still practicing and with every new picture I come closer to what I desire.

I lately was talking to a sweet lady, which I recently feel like a good friend. She does the wonderful sweet and smooth art, which I tried a lot of times but never could do – maybe it just isn’t in me or I did not yet find it… it always feels awkward when I try to do this kind of pictures and moods. She helped me with my tribute for Autumn Rose a lot, as that required exactly that way of art (HERE).

In the past it felt like I would have to have the ability to feature all kind of styles, but the more I turn into my personal favorite direction, the more I feel secure and my pictures do have way more impact  – at least it does feel like that!

I am not saying I will not still try other things, but I took the pressure of myself that I HAVE TO do so. For now I will do enjoy the dark season as much as I can and hope that I can get all my ideas done in time, before the cozy Christmas times will start… or maybe the dark times turn into dark scary “Krismus”? *eyes “The Nightmare before Christmas” DVD over there in the shelf*

Today probably is the last chance to visit this incredible, awesome sim if you not yet did! Cica Ghost did it again… she amazed me with one of her installations and over exploring her newest built, I again forgot to take pictures and when she said it will only last a few more days, I really had to make something!

I really think that our RL affects our SL, especially in the creative department. I was kinda paralyzed the past few weeks. I never ever had experienced mobbing at one of my working places before and now, being over 40 I have to learn about that. I still have no clue what the motivation for those people can be, but to me it is just a senseless power game for no reason. Probably just because they can and they are bored in their own little life. A mixture of disappointment, anxiety and anger did really throw me out of place because of that and I had a hard time to be creative while all this bullshit was going on. Now that I do have holidays and started to sort myself again, some creativity seems to come back even if it is weird. Yesterday I already had those weird thoughts about that poor little octopus and today I had the strange vision about taking my goldfish out for a walk. Certain the “Dogwood by Cica Ghost” did parts of that too as I loved the idea, IF iI should take out goldfishes for a walk it does have to be in a super dry and dusted environment to make it even more surreal :p

Both of my quotes, the title and the one below the first picture are from Trevor Baylis. I recently discovered him and I do have to admit, many of his quotes hit right into my soul. He was an English inventor best known for the wind-up radio (LINK). With thinking a lot about myself and the world in general the past weeks, I read a lot of biographies and just let my mind flow over the world wide web finding some really interesting people that I never had heard of before. Reading some of their statements about certain things, really changed my personal visions and thoughts a little. Most of them were not actual celebrities but older ones or some that lived in past centuries, but still their visions do apply to the present tense. I feel weird saying it did help me but some of their thoughts really made me think about myself again and I was able to step out of that weird mood that RL and my work situation had put me in.

“Time of my Life!”

Vintage Fair is going on at the moment and even if the oder was “pre 80s” for the theme at the event, I could not resist to do another colorful 80s post with some items and designs I found there. The center of my style this time was the cool “Discordia” top from The Annex. Certainly you can style that top in a 70s style as well, but as you can see 80s works too.

Believe it or not, the Vintage Fair is one of my favorite events in Second Life. I know many of you know I am a friend of weird and dark things, but vintage styles especially the 20s to 50s are times and styles that really touch me somehow. Maybe it is because of the music. I love Swing, Rock ‘n’ Roll and Rockabilly! I do have some more vintage posts prepared, but I wanted to start with that cool top as it caught my attention from the moment I put it on the first time. The top is available in 5 different colors and made for Maitreya.

What perfectly fit the 80s look where the “Star Boots”, made by [Gos]. The certainly come with a color HUD, but that silver colors was so perfect for that look. On the picture above you can see a few more colors, but not all of the them 😉 In total you get 15 colors for the main boot, 5 for the lining, 2 for the heel, tread and laces and 3 different metals. For the heel, if you want it the same color as the shoes, you simply can chose the main boot color as that includes the heel, too.

Another cool thing I wanted to talk about is the LeLutka Axis HUD. I know, it is around for a while, but I still get asked how I do my facial expressions apart from the ready made ones you can buy for the LeLutka heads. The HUD is not limited to LeLutka only. You can animate other brands heads as well. I tried it myself with LAQ and Logo and I was asking a friend, that uses Catwa and she said it works too. The only tricky part is expressions with the tongue involved as those seem to react a little different. Other than that, the Axis HUD worked on the other heads just fine for me (You always can try the demo). That HUD opened a new world of close up pictures for me – not only close ups but there you can see the most impact certainly, if you have the face in your focus. With the Axis HUD you can either create a fully new expression OR you can alter expressions that you already have for your head. Since my English is not the best I would like to quote something from the website that explains the most important infos of the HUD:

“Most of what you need to know about getting started can be found on the info pages which show on HUD itself when you first wear it. You can return to those info pages at any time you like by clicking the “i” button on the top of your HUD.

You can click and drag on the point grids to rotate each facial bone on one, two or three axis, depending on the bone. Three axis bones such as the lip bones have an extra row underneath the main point grid which you can use to rotate the bone on the third axis. There are also larger circles at the edges of the brows and lips which allow you to move several bones together. Once you have the expression just how you like it, you can save your animation set into a savorite at the bottom of the HUD if you want to recall it later.

You can also target up to three other avatars and individually set up unique facial animations for group photos or just a bit of fun.”

I tried the HUD not only o myself, but as well with my partner and me no a picture and it worked perfectly.I was wearing the “Simone” head while he was wearing a Catwa one and it worked without any issues (https://www.flickr.com/photos/wiccamerlin/45078595804/in/dateposted-public/)

I was able to create way more moods and expressions, what really raised the bar for my pictures in my view. I am able to even more expressing emotions or having fun moments that without that HUD!

Last but not least – yes that again is a longer post, but there was so many details that should not be overlooked 🙂 – I would like to draw your attention to my hairstyle. It was made by no.match and is called “No.Stress”. You can find it at the actual round of eBENTO. Usually I prefer blond, because of my no eyebrow trademark. But today, for my 80s look I felt I should have some more colored hair, that as well is one of the reasons for me wearing eyebrows today 😉 For me it was the first time, that I touched the ‘unicorn’ color HUD from no.match – after seeing it I know it will not be the last time :p

Red Trench…

I do not know why, but when I tried on the “Roxy” gacha set, I instantly had a Dick Tracy feeling *giggles* Probably it was the cool trench coat of the set 😉

The “Roxy” gacha set is an awesome collaboration between [Gos] and Lybra. While Lybra made the lingerie and the trench coat, [Gos] contributed the cool boots. The lingerie fits amazingly under the trench and for a cool RP, I can see a complete use for that *giggles* I guess I will have to showcase the lingerie some when as well, but for today I just wear it underneath the trench coat and it just pokes out here and there when my pixels move 😉

The super cute hair was my by no.match one of my personal favorite hair stores. The huge wavy hair matched perfect to my little “Dick Tracy” mood. It originally was made for the COSMOPOLITAN event but it should be at the main store by now.

Now you will wonder, why Wicca looks so ‘young today’… that has a special reason 😉

As I stated before I feel so honored to be chosen as a LeLutka blogger and I certainly want to showcase all of their amazing work.  Today I am wearing the “Vera” head. Usually I try to look like a middle aged woman between 30 and 40 with my avatar, but the Vera head had such a cute vibe for me, I could not resist to get a young skin for it too. It is incredible how you can change the look of each LeLutka head with different skins and shapes. I did not have that for other bento mesh heads that much, that is probably the reason why I am so addicted about LeLutka heads *snickers* Plus the fact that they are so versatile, they do have an amazing HUD and I never ever had trouble with controlling my head completely. I know that many do have issues with HUD s from other heads, as they are either so many different HUDs, or one way too huge that isn’t that lag resistant. I enjoy the HUDs for the LeLutka heads a lot. They are clearly structured, have several tabs, that let you customize the heads with textures and animations and you even can do backup safeties for your heads if you get updates or if something goes wrong. You do do not have to set up your head from scratch you just can use your back up to restore your settings and safed makeups/skins on a fresh copy. LeLutka update their heads on a regular base with all new features like baked mesh and they are fixing minor issues, which I rarely notice before they get fixed 😉 I soon have to make a post about the great add-ons too. Did you know that LeLutka made several candies that cooperate with their mesh heads? I love chewing their bubble gum inworld on my avatar – but that will be another post soon!

And again I have to quote 2 lines from the phenomenal band Helloween (yes it is spelled like that!) to start my post with… I have to admit “Dr. Stein” is one of my favorite songs by Helloween, even if they to have a lot of good ones 🙂

I do have the “First Aid” gacha set – made by Salt & Pepper – for a little while now and I was thinking all the time, what I could do with it. I saw many amazing posts in the typical latex, fetish style and thought, I have to do something different with that amazing set. As a side note… I LOVE the humor of Salt and if you take a look at the Epiphany Exclusive you will know why :p She made one of the infusion bags on the stands filled with coffee. THAT made my day. So often I was thinking about having coffee intravenously, when I was tired and had to work longer than expected 😉 I really do adore a good sense of humor!

Ok so now back again to the whole set and a freaky idea how to showcase it without having the designer murder me. It is true that I always try to pull things away from the usual look, not because I think I am special, more to see what can be done with it and how much I can stretch out my fantasy and creativity, without looking the focus on the item. I do like to see thinks in different way and discover new possibilities.

This time it was not hard as I did know I want to do something that still has a clinic, hospital or medical science style, just not in the typical fetish way. It is not a secret, that I do have an addiction for steam punk, sci-fi and all kind of fantasy stuff, especially with a touch of creepy, funky elements. I was roaming through Marketplace again, to see whats new and to find some new things I could use to blog when I saw that amazing “Alien” movie/HR Giger inspired creature. The idea was born and the amazing “First Aid” gacha set from Salt & Pepper should have its very own special spotlight 🙂

The set contains – like a gacha set usually does – 5 different color versions (black, blue, green, red & white) of the lab coat, undies & pasties, gloves and cap as commons. As well commons are the 2 stands and a stethoscope.  The amazing dress and boots are the 2 rare items and as well have the 5 colors in a HUD. The 2 Syringes are the VIP gift (one bento to hold and one prop to rez), which you got when you spent 1000L$ on the machine. The whole outfit is made of latex and you can wear all parts layered as well, like you can see in the first picture, where I have the coat over the dress. I do love if you have gacha items, which you can wear single as well as a full outfit. In that way it never feels like loosing your money on a machine, to just have the one item that completes the outfit, while you can not wear anything without that one part! You always can wear everything what you win either as a full set or for a mix and match outfit. That makes gacha fun to play for me 🙂

All the medical equipment I used for the pictures I found on Marketplace as well and I linked the store in the credits below the post like usual. The Cryo Tank, Is a very special item to me. It was made by Gryphon Vendetta, owner and designer of Poseidon & UNGOD. He filled that amazing tank with super cool and creepy poses, which I do have to highlight in another post again. The tank was so perfect for my science experiment idea, that I just had to sneak it in as a prop.

It was so much fun to play with the whole set and like always it does hurt a little, to delete it. But I realized I cannot keep all my sets rezzed, as I will run out of prims really fast and can not build new sceneries *chuckles*. That enjoy as well and so it is a good compromise, to keep the pictures as a memory and let the actual sets go for  new ones!

Challenge Today: Combine Sweet Shoes with a Bow and Scary Gloves with Teeth & Tongue!

Lately I do have a lot of fun to give myself little ‘challenges’ for my styles and trying to complete the task. I thought about a way, how I can re invent my view on my blogging pictures. Certainly we do have our ‘duties’ too with deadlines and blogging rules, but I do not wanna see it just as a job. I realized if I just do pictures without any special thoughts behind them they start looking the same. I do not want to have the same look over and over again and those little challenges as well remind me what I do have in my inventory. After 10 years of blogging, you easily can loose track of what you have, but with little challenges and the fact that you force yourself to not just buy new accessories, but use what you already got, it really gets an interesting aspect again. Plus it has another great advantage, you stumble over things you would never wear again, as they are outdated or used too often already and you can just delete those and make room for new stuff 😉
Actually todays challenge was a fun one, as I really could go crazy again. Do you know that, if you got something because you liked  it and then you have no clue what you can do with it? That was what happened to me with the cool “Koronay Veil” from cinphul. I saw it and thought I need to have that and then I was sitting and staring at it a little frustrated, as nothing wanted to come to my mind besides that I love it. Sometimes you have to put things aside until they talk to you 😉 This happened today while I was trying to combine those awesome, sweet “Desir Stilettos” from Poison Rouge and the kick ass, uber cool “Voracity Gloves” from Cubic Cherry. I do have an addiction to scary, dark stuffs – and that felt like it could go directly into that direction.
As you can see.. it did :p

I do enjoy the winter season!

Sometimes we need a challenge, I guess to make sure we are still able to do some things 😉

So I thought about a sweet casual winter post in my very own style, but still tried to be the “good girl”*snickers* I love the cape that Hotdog had at the last We♥RP event. They had a full version with optional ribbons, which is amazing as well and they had put one version without ribbons but with some snow over the shoulders as a gift.

When I put on the cape the first time, I immediately had the vision of a Victorian look with a great up-do hair style. I loved the idea of having the hands in that cute muff in front of the belly. Certainly that requires to alpha the whole arms and hands, but it still interacts nicely with every kind of animation and pose. Looking at the cape, did more and more bring up the desire inside of me to create a different look than the initial Victorian idea.

I remembered the cool FRWL gacha from Salt & Pepper – that brought me to a new idea for my look. I did trow away the skirt idea and looked for some pants that did fit under the cape. When I found the right pants. I realized, that my upper body blinked through with some poses and so I just used a dark body applier shirt to cover that since I wouldn’t be seen anyways, but it covered the little spots that some movements brought up. The cape has a wonderful and huge golden ornament on the back and some little ones at the front as accents and I am really amazed by the folds and wrinkles that make it so realistic looking.

For the matching makeup I chose the one with some snowflakes on the face to gt a little more into the snow mood I wanted for my picture.

First I thought about a desaturated dead tree environment with lots of snow but not much else. With the beige fur on the cape, the head piece and the warm black tone the blue/black background I imagined, did not work out that great as I thought. That put me on a sim hoping journey and I found a lot of cool places for future posts, but not that what I was looking for. Suddenly I remembered, what Skye told me, when I asked her about a wintery sim. She is the expert for everything beautiful and sweet and she has a long past in Second Life as well 😉 She suggested Nymphai, one of the sims of the Ippos Collective. Duchess and Divine and many others do an incredible job to decorate their sim collective. They change for every season and have different themes on each of their sims. Some of them as well have residentials available and you have to be careful to not violate the Inhabitants’ peace and freedom 😉

Now I have to make some more looks for all the amazing sims I found on my little sim trip 😉 Enjoy the winter, even if it is cold – it has it’s advantages as well if you can get into it 😉
