Disarranged…

The picture exactly shows how I feel sometimes… Totally disarranged but… somehow still interesting*laughs*

Did you ever came across such a situation where you had something in mind, started to style for your idea and for whatever reason, the whole concept fell and was replaced by a complete different idea? It happens to me so often…

When I started to dress for this post, I had a military style in mind with the “Orsay” dress, but then I remembered the cool puppet hanger from Curio Obscura and the same time [Gos] released their “Natalie” ankle boots and all of a sudden my idea changed to something complete different. The first idea only had the dress in the focus and then I got shoes that matched so wonderful so I had to find an idea where i can showcase the dress AND the shoes 😉

Recently I had to re-think my idea for shoe posts as I did not like the “closeup only” pictures of shoes and accessories. I wanted something that still would allow more than just one part of the body in the picture and so I started experimenting a lot with crazy poses, crouch poses and certain sit and kneel poses. Sometimes it becomes more editorial looking and sometimes it just falls in place to a cool picture with the right angle. It is really fun the more you dare to fool around with poses and angles. Sometimes it just looks weird but if you just try a little more and not be afraid of crazy ideas it becomes way more exciting and interesting.

I will try to play more with those kid of ideas in the future and hope you will enjoy the results as much as I do 😉 Thanks a lot for reading!

“Before he shuts me down…”

I do love collaborations and if one of your personal photography idols asks you, if you would have an idea that would go with his actual styling… that feels like Christmas, easter and birthday together :p

I always admire people with strong visions, intense emotions, powerful moments and driving colors. As well I am amazed by peoples skills in doing raw shots and how they post process their pictures. It is exciting to see what gets snapped in world and then see what the end results are for the picture, that mostly turns into an art piece then 😉

So, you can imagine how excited I got, when Master Nefekalum came into my IM box and asked, if I would have an idea for a styling to what he just had put together. He as well sent me a gyazo of his look and when I saw it, immediately the movie Ex Machina came to my mind. The Android girl Ava and Caleb, who has to judge whether Ava is genuinely capable of thought and consciousness, and if he can relate to Ava despite knowing she is artificial.

When I told Master Nefekalum about it, he seemed interested. So I did hurry to put a style together, to show him what I was thinking of. When I sent him the gyazo he had some minor ideas to adjust my look and then he TPed me over to his studio. It is always exciting to me, when I see how other photographers work and I always try to be as easy to work with as I can, to not disturb or interrupt other peoples ideas and visions.

It is so amazing to see how others picture your look and what they do see in your styling. Sometimes it even can go a complete different direction, than you initially thought about.

This time it did not and Master Nefekalum liked my little vision to his style and I was speechless, when I saw the picture and the perfect title he did. So today I just adapted the title of my post to hims and I hope he will not mind it 😉

I would like to thank Master Nefekalum for this amazing moment and picture! I secretly hope he will have a situation or style that he will see me fit into again in the future maybe 😉

Pink Therapy!

Pink always was and is a challenge to me. Some of you might remember times, when I tried to act like I had a pink allergy and even had a special skin with pimples and spots. Or if I got pink outfits for shows, I always predicted I had to have my medicine and pills with me to not get those allergy symptoms again. It was fun times and for what ever reason even nowadays people approach me about that allergy 😉

That even more encourages me sometimes, to try something in pink as it can be a very strong color and not just a Barbie girl tone.

First I wanted to do a picture where I sit on an object, because I wanted to showcase the shoes as well as the dress, the hair and the jewelry. I realized, if I just have a simple standing pose, most of the time the shoes get lost in the whole picture as they turn out way to tiny compared to the the rest of the picture. But I did not just want a little close up on the blog either and no hint for my flickr picture.

Everything what I tried to sit on – that did not seem boring and strong enough as well as matching my mood – did not work out. After some time I really got frustrated and had to step away from the whole thing. I logged out and went to the couch, to continue reading my book. After a couple of hours, I took a look at the watch and it was not yet that late. I thought I should give it another try and see if now the muse would be genuine enough to come back and maybe even kiss me again.

First I did throw the idea away to pose sitting on something and reduced the set drastically to some lights and effects from E.V.E Studio. I still was I a certain mood, which I wanted to express via the pictures as well. Something pensive, lightly fragile and with – here I have to credit Ephemeral Skye, since he was so kind to listen to my frustration and had kind words, which helped to go back to the whole project – “a hint of defiance in her as well”. It made me speechless that he tried to see “behind” the picture and saw what I tried to aim for. He is an incredible artist, which I adore personally for his creativity and ideas and if someone with that outrageous skills gives you such kind words… that is really motivating I have to admit and I am really grateful about that.

If you have a very minimal background, poses and angles count even more to have an interesting picture in the end. I love to jump into my Poseidon poses folder when I try to have a strong mood or attitude in mind. I have no idea how Gryphon Vendetta does it, but he ALWAYS hits the nail on the head when he makes his poses. They are so strong and expressive, even if they have an ’emo’ feeling to them. You can play with the angles amazingly with Poseidon poses as there is always more than one view that works. With the right crops you can even use extreme poses or flying poses without having their initial purpose shown.

Before I now go back to my inventory and look, what I could use for my next look, I would like take a closer look at the shoes, even if they are shown in the picture at the beginning. I so often feel that shoes are underestimated and as well way too often taken for granted.

How a hat makes you feel is what a hat is all about.

Do you know the feeling if you get something to blog and it even comes from a long time friend? Exactly that happened to me with Spartin Parx. Spartin and me go way back and I even remember one of our first shoots. The more I got excited when I saw the box with her name on it 😉 When I opened the box, I found 2 amazing hats in there and you all know how much I do love extraordinary, huge headpieces :p

I wanted to give each hat the spotlight that it deserves and that is why I only will have one of the hats for today 🙂

The “Izumi Kasa” hat was my first choice as it instantly gave me a vision for a picture.

The huge hat covers most of your head and face and a long lace hangs down from your chin. A HUD provides you many options for the top of the hat and as well for the huge round part with different colors and patterns.

What else you can wear to such a great hat than a little bot of nothing?*grins*

But if it is a little bot of nothing, it has to be a great one 😉 The amazing detailed harness from Salt & Pepper is a perfect example how strong little things can be. Together with a bra from Devious Mind and sexy panties from Opium’s addiction it makes the perfect outfit for the huge hat.

To get even more focus on the hat and the shoes, I decided to go with a black and red contrast. I love to have a single color to pop out and red against black is something that is not very rare, but it always works 😉

The cool shoes I am wearing are from UTOPIA@Design. Elisabetta Hyun never stops to surprise me with her shoe designs. Always when you think THAT is the best shoe I ever saw, her next release tops it again. Exactly that happened with the “Zafira” boots again. The cool front, which is highly decorated with straps and buckles gives a wonderful opposite to the clean backside.

The shoes have the awesome HUD, that comes with all the UTOPIA@Design shoes. With 9 presets you can have a quick fit and with the Multi texture HUD you can change several parts of the boots. The special again are the 5 different glossiness levels you can choose from if you have advanced lightning enabled. The boots come with fits for Maitreya, both Slink and all 3 Belleza sizes.

It is really interesting to base styles on certain accessories – It always feels like an adventure, where I never know what I will end up with when I start it 😉 You really should try that sometimes – just pick one accessory that you stuck to and see what happens if you add certain things 😉

No matter where you go, everyone’s connected…

I do have an addiction for cyber punk and futuristic looks… but I guess thats not new;)

What is new is the hairstyle from A&Y which I completely fell in love with 😉

A&Y always was one of my first choices for cyber or futuristic hair. The ideas of Anabel Crystal, Owner and designer of A&Y, are just incredible amazing. She has that special look to all her creations, when you see designs you immediately know she made them. The “Lucia Cyber Hair” is a perfect example for the incredible eye for the detail of Anabel Crystal. The haistyle is an unsymmetrical one, which I anyways love and it is decorated with amazing tubes on one side, which go around, down the neck to meet the tail on the other side.

What I adore as well is that with A&Y has some super vibrant colors in their hair. You can wear them as one color only or you can use the strong colors to set an accent to your style. That brings me to the amazing HUD for the A&Y hair. When I first used it, it took me a moment, to realize I cannot immediately use it, I have to connect the HUD first to my hairstyle. So you wear your hair, then the HUD and the you use the connect button on the HUD to ‘activate’ both to work together. The great advantage of that HUD is, that you can choose each section, which you want to color separately and clearly labeled. Each part of the tubes, the hair parts and every single decoration. I rarely saw such complex and great HUDs for hair, that are to operate so easy and detailed.

Certainly such a great hair needed a strong look to go with. I wanted to underline the cyber though with a non human skin. I remembered that I got an amazing unusual skin pack from YS&YS longer ago, with 4 very different colored skin tones. The great metal effect for the skin and the face, was part of another skin from YS&YS but it perfectly worked with the Zafiro tone from the “Ginny” pack. With the “Samara” outfit from Wicca’s Wardrobe, the cool stompers from DRD, the cyber arm from Naurolab Inc. and the long claws from Meva the look totally nailed a cyber look for me.

While I was styling the look for today I already got more cyber ideas :p So I guess it should not be too long until my next futuristic post 😉

Now, don’t screw it up, okay?

[Babydoll in Sucker Punch]

When I put on the “Poupee” dress from [sYs], I immediately had to think about the movie ‘sucker Punch’. The dress for what ever reason did remind me so badly about Babydoll, one of the characters in the movie, so I had to style ot that way 😉

The outfit contains dress, shirt and bow tie – you can wear the dress only as well 😉

To bring my imagination to live I added the “Anxiety Garters” that come with the socks from CURELESS. The socks are mesh items, that scared me first as I thought, I would never find shoes to fit over them since mesh layering is always a bit tricky, but the “Hax” boots from {Livalle} perfectly fitted over the socks – PHEW!

I do love horror and thriller movies a lot, especially those who have a mystical or psychological touch to them. Sucker Punch is one of them and I probably saw it like 5 times until now – I tend to forget things over the time and movies can be interesting again then :p Those kind of movies usually have some very special characters with a certain attitude and look. Sometimes they can be really inspiring to take inspiration and style outfits towards that. It is a lot of fun for me at least 😉

Orange & Black – Warm & Vibrant!

Today I was not sure what I wanted to do, except playing with the combination of a strong color and black. Since I did that often enough with red, I wanted to do something with a more vibrant color and as well bring in my spring mood into it. That was why I chose to go with a light orange that kinda dips into yellow – or I had too much honey in my tea lately :p

I wanted to use one of the pose props that I got during the last Exposeur sale. ” The Minimalist” had such awesome poses to it and it did give me the possibility to play some more with projectors as well since the ball to pose on is surrounded by a black box where projectors, shadows and lights will work amazing.

Recently I found out, that you can have more than one shadow if you work with different projectors that have different colored lights. If you hit the right angle and play with your windlight you can produce amazing effects. This time I was aiming for one darker and one lighter shadow.

When I started to look for some yellow/orange things in my inventory I stumbled across the “Honey” makeup and eyes from Queen of Ink and when I saw that… I just had to fool with it. That probably was the moment when I was sold to the orange/yellow part of the pictures :p

I more and more love my unplanned shoots as it is like playing roulette.. you never know what it will be and it is somehow a challenge to bring all the parts you have together if you do not think about everything before you start 😉 Maybe I should think about color or theme challenges for myself and have one each month… I do have to think about that, that could be fun!

Last Winter Day

We had a really rough and cold week last week.

After the weather was quite nice already, the temperature dropped down unter the freezing point again and all of a sudden we had snow again!

Who the hell needs snow in spring, when you packed up all winter clothing already???

That was the reason, why I wanted to do one last winter/snow post before spring finally comes back and hopefully stays 😉

Silent Crying

“The most painful tears we cried, were the tears we cried in silence…”

When was the last time you cried in silence?

Usually the emotions and the pain are way deeper if you cry in silence, than if you let people see it. But why we are crying in silence?

Maybe because we think no one would anyways understand why or what we are crying about, so we feel the need to hide it to not make things worse or complicated with other people involved?

Maybe we do not want to look weak and fragile and hide it, to not give people the idea we are an easy prey?

Maybe we do not want to worry the people, which are close and dear to us with issues and thoughts that might not even be real problems?

Maybe we do not have a reason that can be spoken out loud, as we do not have the words about the emotions that we are going through?

Maybe someone (accidentally) disappointed and hurt us so much and we do not wanna risk our future with that person and just have to play nice to not ruin everything?

Maybe we are scared that people won’t believe us or believe the reason we do cry?

There is so many reasons why we do it and each one must be very deep and painful, if we try to hide our emotions and feelings towards other people. The tears we cry won’t be seen by anyone. No one will come and put arms around you, because no one thinks you need support. Silent tears are one example of so many fights we have with ourselves. Even if no one can see them, after we released the tears and let them flow, we usually feel better and sometimes we even question our tears afterwards and then we are happy nobody did see them and we do not have to explain.

Do not be afraid to cry if your best friend is with you. Your best friend will understand, not feel bothered, not judge your strength in that moment, not question the reason for your tears, believe in every reason and maybe even put the arms around you and hold you silently until you feel better.

I am very grateful I have such a person in my life ♥

Todays pictures were the hardest for along time… do you know the feeling, when you have a complete vision of a picture in mind and then you run around like mad and can’t find what you were looking for? So it was today with my set. I had something in mind in a light, nearly purely white hallway with flying sheer curtains. I looked on MP and as well in world and I found a few things that were close, but not what I was looking for. Then I was trying one of the awesome creations from Exposeur, which I anyways love for a long time. I fell in love with the poses, what made me dump the idea of light and white and rethink my picture idea. So I ended up building something with the “Girl At The Window” pose prop from Exposeur and the “Flying Curtains” from Kalopsia.

The style of today was as well a little special as well. I wanted to do a post about the new “Lady G Pumps” from [Gos].

First I went for the typical casual elegant look, which usually is expected for pumps like that. If you imagine pumps, what style you imagine on the first thought? Casual elegant, lingerie or formal/elegant. When I was fully styled, I looked at me and thought… “Nope, that is not you!” and took off everything but the pumps. But now what else…? Usually if I get stuck with ideas I dive into my accessories folder and see what I find there to kick in some creativity :p

The first thing I tried was the “Mouth Silencer” from AsteroidBox. As a German I was curious what a mouth silencer woud be. When I unpacked it and put it on, the first look – I have to admit that – was kinda terrifying. It looked very harsh and martial and with the blood applier that comes with it – I had to swallow a few times before my curiosity won and I thought that this could be an interesting challenge. So I looked at me, standing there in pumps and that bloody iron piece on my mouth. Usual lingerie would be too nice and I anyways did not wanna go for that. Pure fetish would be too obvious too now with that special accessory. Maybe a mixture would do it!

I found the “Sex Vixen Princess” outfit from Dirty Princess, which made the perfect combo of cute and strong with the little ruffles on the lingerie and as well the strong leather harness on top of it. To drag it back a little bit I added the ripped stockings to get a more gothic touch in it and I loved the contrast of the elegant pumps and the ripped nylons 😉 Needless to say it was luck that the nylons were just as high to meet the garters of the outfit, but since .:Avanti:. has so many different heights for their stockings I did know I would find one that matches :p

Certainly a tattoo could not be missing in that look and what else than one of the [White Widow] tattoos could work better to bring the sweetness back again as well. The “It” tattoo with the cute roses just perfectly did what I expected from it. I did say more than once already, that I adore the texture skills Julie Hastings has and I would give my right arm for it to know, how she archives it to have all of her tattoos so needled-sharp on the mesh bodies 😉

Even if the pictures today turned out completely different than I first thought, the emotions and feelings I wanted to transport with them still remained the same. It was a great experience for myself to start with a mouth piece and heels and I hope there will me many more like those in the future 🙂

YAY! Fetish Fair extends for one week! More time to get all the goodies 😉 Speaking of goodies, many parts of my todays post are from exactly that Fetish Fair…

The cool mask, what made me start with my styling today, comes from E-Clipse Design. It is part of a full outfit called “Anu”. The outfit comes with dress, mask, boots and as well a whip. The boots and the whip I did not use for todays post.

The mask caught my attention immediately – I LOVE such neat accessories that are outside the mainstream range… I am sure thats nothing new 😉 All the little details, the gear and tubes already make this a stunning accessory and if you take a closer look at the textures, you will see why I fell in love with it. The dress as well is something special. The fabric is opaque, but has a wonderful shining texture and you get the imagination of it being slightly sheer even if it is not. Speaking of details… take a look how awesome the strings are wrapped around the body held by those amazing metal rings!

The cool boots would fit perfectly into the Fetish Fair as well, but those are out now at the Cosmopolitan event. The “Camala” boots are calf high boots with an amazing lace down at the sides of the feet. I have no clue how Elisabetta Hyun does her textures, but they are so incredible realistic and you never have any seams where the shoes have none. The “Camala” boots come with a huge HUD to customize several parts of the boots like the main boot, the laces, the inner and outer sole as well as the heel and metals. I know I already mentioned that, but what I do like a lot with the UTOPIA@Design shoes is the preset tab on the HUD where Elisabetta already makes 9 presets ready to wear and as well the possibility to choose about the glossiness of the whole shoe.

The collar and the cool garter – yes, it is a mesh body rigged garter that is a standalone without the stockings – I as well found at the Fetish Fair. Recently I look into .:Avanti:. more and more as I really do like the way Intoxicate, owner and designer of .:Avanti:., creates her things. I rarely saw so many different way of stockings like she did and what I love the most – they are different high on the thighs depending on their style. That makes it possible, that you can either connect them to garters or wear them even under thigh high boots and see the tiny boarder peeking still 😉 and certainly I cannot forget to mention that I adore her texture skills for her appliers!

Last but not least, I would like to drag your attention towards the amazing hand accessories I am wearing. I always look for something I can wear on my hands, I am addicted to all kind of nails, rings, gloves and what not 😉 This time I chose the super cool “No Mercy Rings” from [Since1975].  They combine some leather straps wrapped around your hands and as well unusual, kick ass rings and little gems on the fingernails. All are perfectly rigged for bento hands and react awesome to all kind of finger movement and posing. With the HUD you can decide what metal colors you would like to have and as well you can hide rinsg and gems single, to not have a perfect mirror on both hands. That I like a lot, as you usually never have all the same rings mirrored on each hand at the same time and I am anyways a lover of non symmetric things.

But now I will make my way back to the Fetish Fair again – since I have one week more to go – and see what neat accessories I can find for my next post 😉
