Wicca’s Wardrobe: Lady in Red No.1

A few days ago I met again a person, that was very important in my life for quite some time. It was in the beginning times of my SL. He was always there for me and helped me a lot when my RL was not that shiny as it should have been. We had a wonderful time together, that I will never forget…

A few days ago when I was looking through my friendlist, I still saw his name and even when he was offline I felt I had to leave him a few lines just .. just because I felt I had to 😉 As I logged in the other day again, he wrote me and answer and after sending offliners back and forward we made it to be online to the same time even if it sadly only was a few minutes. We met at his home ant it was a great feeling to see each other after such a long time. I still heard the ducks that I remember so well… the time we could spend was way too short but before he had to log we danced to our song once again and that really brought up the old memories in a very emotional way. It is a song that is very special to us because of many reasons, which I would like to keep as a secret but I will not hide the song itself 😉 The song is called Lady in Red from Chris de Burgh. Sadly due German music rights, I found no good quality file on youtube to share but I would like to share the lyrics:

As I wanted to dedicate that post to Ryyan, I wanted to bring back the lady in red kinda 😉 Miamai had a wonderful red dress in their latest releases. The “Esther” dress. It had a wonderful red version and so I decided to take that as the base for my Lady in Red No.1 😉 I have some more in mind at the moment so I call it my Lady in Red No. 1 😉

The wonderful floppy hat is a special version made for me by Baboom and for the jewelry I decided to go for the “Shameless” necklace and bracelet from Finesmith and some earrings where I do not even remember the label anymore as I have them in forever 😉 Since the Lady in Red always had something mystical for me I wanted to cover her eyes with some glasses that kinda hide them and I chose the “Cubism Shades” from epoque.

There is things in the past what never will be the same again, but still the memories noone can take from you.

I hope you enjoyed my memories and my Lady in Red No. 1 😉

Today I would like to show a dress, that I own for quite some time now, but I never made it to style it and post it. You know how that goes, if you run after all your blogger reviews and never find the time to blog something you bought somewhen 😉 So I took some time the last 2 days and finished the style and post finally 😉

The “Vague” dress from Legal Insanity was part of the RFL 2013 Fashion Fair. I got it in 2 different colors, black & white and something kinda orange & brown. For today I chose the black & white version. The texture looks very simple on the first view but if you take a closer look you can see, how amazing the white-grey looking suede parts are stitched on. The whole mini dress is mesh made and comes in different standard sizes, so that you can make sure it fits even your avatar.

A hair store, that my focus fell on lately is Miss C. They have some really neat and cool looking new hair. The “Xenia II” hairstyle with the cute curls in the front and the amazing hat, that let you change the textures by a menu just took my heart by storm ;). The bag is a super old one from LeLutka, but just because it is old it does not mean that it cannot be great… many older things that I have in my wardrobe are still wearable and uptodate. Many times we just forget that we have them 😉

The shoes are from J’s, a shoe store that I follow for quite a long time. I still remember they had the first wedged sandals with toe prims long before bare feet even were on the SL horizon 🙂 The new “Studded Long Boots” are mesh made as well and if you decide to go for the fatpack you get 5 amazing colors in different standard mesh sizes for male and female.

The necklace I took out of a new mesh jewelry set from EMO-tions called “Orion”. Usually you have a pair of matching earrings to go with the necklace but since I wanted to use the Mandala mesh ears with the tubes I decided to only wear the necklace.

Since I made it to one of my trademarks to have a skin without any eyebrows, I have to work a bot more with makeups and as well with eyebrow tattoos, if I wanna wear a darker color of hair.

The idea for the look without eyebrows, came during a shooting that I had with MaliciaPython, owner and designer of Silken Moon, for her new skin line and as well I found a few ladies out if the 70s and 80s, singers and artists, that had no eyebrows like the Italian singer Mina Cerca. All those ladies have something special and with the new canvas skin from Silken Moon it was easy to try that out. After several month of trying I have to admit I like that look and so I decided to go without any eyebrows at all. The only problem I found was, if I wanted to wear black or dark hair. Because then the no-eyebrows look became a weird touch. But how I could work that out? I did not wanna go with just eyebrow tattoos and again add me some usual eyebrows… Again it was Malicia that gave the push towards something I really liked. Why not make eyebrows that look like painted and unnatural and use them if needed. That was a great idea and to help at the beginning she made 2 sets of amazing eyebrow tattoos in that way 🙂

TUNES – The Model

So what to do on a lazy Sunday afternoon? Sure go for some workout!

That we even can look awesome during our fitness sessions, GizzA made the perfect workout outfits 😉 You can choose between 4 wonderful colors and the outfit includes all you need. The top, the pants, shoes and even the legwarmers. At least you do not have the excuse you would have nothing to wear or you would need too much time to dress before you can go and train a bit 😉

As it is never nice to do workout alone, I went with Falbala to have some fun and chat a bit while working on our shape 😉 We had lots of fun and nice talks until we both decided, we need a shower 😉

And what you do after a good workout? Yes you go for a nice coffee and some more chit chat 😉

Meeting an old friend of mine…

Sometimes you just hand around spend some free time cleaning your inventory or make new stylings when you suddenly hear the familiar sound of your IM window… “Ding Ding”. I looked up and saw that Enna Flatley was contacting me. I met Enna years ago on an RP sim and we spent quite sometime together and used to talk on a daily base. The RP vanished some when and sadly many of the old contacts as well, what is quiet normal I guess especially if you head for different directions. I chose the modeling and she already started to design clothing. But since she and her partner started mostly with Neko stuff, I twas our of my focus for alonger time. I have to admit as well that one of my long time favourite sneakers still are from back then ;). Anyways, Enna IMed me as she wanted to ask me something regarding a show she was planning to do and so we started to chat again. After some time she asked me if I would not like to come over and see her new store. She told me that she no runs her own business since her partner left SL quite a while ago.

As I landed at her Mainstore I really was surprised. No Neko stuff anymore but amazing mesh clothing for male and female. Mostly mesh made I saw various casual and sporty complete outfits, tops, pants and shoes. Enna asked me what I would like the most and I told her a few things that really caught my attention. I was not even finished tell her what I like and why, as I found various designs of hers in my inventory ;).

So this means I have some parts to play with and I would like to start with a mix and match of some parts of ENNA.

For today’s styling I had – I have no clue why – David Beckham in mind. I started with the mesh “Vintage Jeans” in dirty blue. The amazing mesh jeans are textured with amazing blue and brown shades and you nearly can feel the denim fabric and see the dust when you clap your upper leg 😉 The folds are super amazing set and you really get the idea of a used jeans. At the ENNA Mainstore you will find 4 different colors of the “Vintage Jeans”. The “Female Jacket”, as well  mesh made comes with a little special feature. Driven by a HUD you can choose if you wanna wear it with or without a shirt under the jacket and you can change the color of that short with the HUD as well. With the super cool mesh “Sneakers” I really fell in love. The are so amazingly detailed, you can see every little part of the fabric and the lights and shadows make them looking really 3D. To complete my cool Beckham look, I added the “Amida” earrings and necklace from Mandala and the “Grappa Pieva” hair from LoQ.

This will be certainly not my last post about the designs from ENNA, but if you cannot wait you maybe wanna make your way over to the ENNA Mainstore and see for yourself 😉

Gizza - Like a virgin full

Today when I was thinking about what to wear for my GizzA shift I was listening to Madonna’s song ‘Like a Virgin’ as I again was dragged in some 80’s mood. Yes I know, I have a fable for the 80’s and especially the music of that time.

I like to mix and match my outfits and so I started to look for a top that I could use for a basic for my styling. As I was trying the “Anna” gown from GizzA, I fell in love with the top part of it and decided to use it together with the collar. For the pants I chose the “Loose Denim Short”, a well from GizzA.  What I loked a lot was the glam looking top against the kinda used looking shorts. Usually you might think that cannot really go together, but for me it did :p . The leggings are one of the latest releases from LeeZu called “Glitter Tights” Together those parts made kinda an 80’s look for me so I went further and added the “Epaulette” shoulder piece and the cute Handkeys” in the music version. The mesh boots I found at J’s. Now I wanted to have a strong makeup that as well underlines the 80’s look and remembered the “Geometrie” makeup from *LpD*.  The wild, lightly messy hair “Dolce” from LeLutka was the perfect hairstyle to the whole look for me.

The Runway Perfect Hunt #4 – Part 1

The Runway Perfect Hunt goes in it’s 4th round :). Morgane Batista again made it, to get amazing designers to participate in one of the most famous hunts on the grid. Even if the title says “The hunt with models in mind” does not mean this hunt is limited to models only. All the amazing and versatile designs are amazing additions to everybody’s wardrobe, even the males will find some amazing hunt prizes in some locations 😉 This year the hunt is not a total freebie hunt, each hunt item costs $5 Linden. With a total of 50 shops you reach a maximum of $250 Linden, what is a great amount for so many amazing quality designs!

For today I would like to spotlight the first 4 stores with a mix & match styling.

First store would be *PosESioN*, store #19. Dahriel made a little set of 5 poses called “Andromeda”, made for females only. Maybe the brave guys wanna give it a try as well 😉

The outfit comes from location #28, Svart. Angexx Quandry created one male and one female outfit. Certainly I used the female one called “Ren”. Shorts and top are mesh made and come in various sizes to make sure that it fits all kind of avatars.

The super cool hat comes from Xen’s Hats. A blue Feodora style looking hat with an amazing texture, that really gives the hat a realistic fabric.

The amazing lips gloss was provided by [mock]. The “Mariellis Lip Shine” comes in 3 different colors and each has 3 different versions.

To complete my styling I added the “Cubism” glasses from epoque because they underlined the retro feeling, that came with the outfit and the hat,  in such an amazing way. The jewelry is one of my long times favourites from Mandala called “Sinra”.

Wicca’s Wardrobe: LOTD 04/26/2013 – Light Colors ;)

Hoooorrraaay, Spring is coming 😉 In Germany we had the first sunny week with genial temperatures. It was great to feel the sun kissing your skin and the mood became better as well. No more cold weather no more dark cloudy days… amazing! Inspired by all the wonderful weather and colors outside, I wanted to make a spring look that would work to just go for some shopping 😉 .

I started with the “LolliPop Dress” top from GizzA, because I loved the strong yellow that reminded me so much of the sun. The cool ruffles gave the whole outfit a light retro touch. A longer time ago I got the “Apasionado” bag from LaGyo. The cute bag looks like a little face with the zipper and the holders and I really fell in love with it. The denim color of the bag brought me to my blue jeans. The wonderful “Skinny Pants” from GizzA are mesh made and so you have an awesome shape and it moves perfect even with weird poses or movements… no more weird knees 😉 .

Now the drama started, as I wanted to have yellow shoes that go with the shirt. I looked through my shoe folder and all yellow tones looked more orange than yellow compared to the top, not to mention that most of my shoes are black or white *chuckles* So the few I had, I could not really use and I thought about a good store for strong colored shoes that matched the look. I started window shopping for nearly over an hour till I arrived at Tara. Bingo! I saw already when I arrived – even if I was still rezzing –  that I would find many colored shoes and maybe even the right yellow tone 🙂 .

After trying a few demos, I decided to go for the “Equilibrium” shoes from Tara. With all the silver decorations, studds and ornaments I wanted to go for light accessories so my choice fell on the “Asia” watches and braceletsfrom GizzA and the “Lick ME!” earrings from Ticky Tacky, both in white.

[AD] Creations: Tribute to A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Again I have amazing news from [AD] Creations. Aliza Karu again did a special for the new project by [AD] Creations and LibriamoTutti – the BookLook! The challenge of this book is to choose a book and make a design that is be inspired by that book.

This month [AD] Creations’s design is called “Titania” and it is the dress for this month inspired by ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.

The wonderful outfit comes with nearly all parts and you just need to wear it. The dress has an white opaque, satin looking corset. The sheer skirt with the solid bottom boarder gives a little fairy touch to the whole creation, which is  underlined as well by the amazing flowers and shining gems. The hair and the wings as well comes with the outfit and make the perfect finish for this dreamy look. To make it even look more fairy like I decided to go bare feet and only ad the collar and some white bangles from Mandala to complete the look 🙂 The makeup is a combination of 2 different tattoo layers from Nuuna’s.
