Wicca’s Originals @ Fetish Fair // December 12th – 26

Wicca’s Originals have finished off the Ayda set with the best, the Ayda Boots, which will get their hooks in you. Both disturbing and stylish, these thigh-high boots cover your entire leg, and are decorated with a series of high contrast painted panels up the sides of the leg. However, the more unique embellishments are the downward-curled hooks appearing at random intervals along the leg, and around the platform of the boot. The heel is likewise a backward-curled hook, tricky to get used to balancing in, but promising disturbing things to someone who gets under your foot. As with the rest of the set, a series of extradermal tubes shields wiring, oil, or bodily fluids carried throughout the leg. These come in two variations — clean and dark, with 10 or 20 color palettes, respectively, and can be worn on Maitreya, Freya, Legacy, and Hourglass bodies.

Hide from the World Outside…

Lockdown, lockdown light, back to normal, all open , all closed… This pandemic really becomes a huge mess as no one dares to make decisions anymore. I am not one of those denying that the pandemic exists, I am not one of those who tries to cheat and avoid masks and I see the danger of that virus very clear – I lost people to damn Covid already. What makes me crazy is the way how our government handles certain things. Why conferences, which debate about school rules and changes, have to be on a Sunday (and being alive already on Monday – the next day), when parents need to be informed and need plans to take care of their children on Monday? Why kids may play soccer on the school yard but in the afternoon the clubs for free time activities (as well soccer) are closed? Why kids must sit shoulder on shoulder in school with a mask, while they are not allowed to play with more than one certain friend in the afternoons? More and more doctors speak up saying that it is the kids that transport the virus without having any symptoms and our minister of education still preaches “Kindergartens and schools have to stay open!” I can see that there is a need of having a place where kids can go, if their parents have systemically important jobs or if the only have one parent that takes care of them – but why keeping schools open like mad while it is more and more clear that a huge part of the spreading happens through the classes where 26 and more people share one room the whole morning from 8am to 2 pm? This lockdown “light” crap destroys more than it helps as the number still go up and more and more small stores, theaters, cinemas, bands, musicians and bars/restaurants cannot even plan when it will have an end. A harsh 3 or 4 weeks lockdown might have been better and we know since September (school started over here by then) that we are running into that problem, because number started to go up when school started after summer and autumn came… it just starts feeling idiotic and despotic at the moment. It only feels like reaction to whats happening, but not anymore like intelligent action.

I as well could vomit when I see people going out on the streets wearing no masks and denying the pandemic would exist… did we not have enough death, not enough suffering and loosing people we loved? They claim they go out on the street for their rights – what about the right of those who want to be protected, those who wear masks and follow given rules to get this pandemic stemmed? While they shout on the streets, people who care and try to protect themselves as much as they can, are forced to pass that crowd of people without masks. Recently they even started to use kids for their idiotic speeches making them say they would feel like Sophie Scholl or Anne Frank – I was so shocked when I heard that and my first thought was, what people would think who had to go through the cruel time of that times… for me an inexcusable affront to all those people!

All of that went trhough my mind when I was setting up the “Neclected Bedroom” from DRD. The idea of a messy bedroom, which you can hide from the world and read some books that even help with that – dive in a fantasy world and just forget all that madness out there and if you are lucky you have a little company from your kitty or the pet you chose for your life 😉 The kick ass cool boots I recently found at L’Emporio and could not pass them without getting my pair :p .

Virtual Insanity?

When you think about your life as a path, it never seems to be a straight and smooth one. You have junctions, where you have to decide which way to go. You will face bumpy and rocky sections. You might even dead-end streets, which first looked completely right and all of a sudden you realize it won’t let you go further than a certain point. You might find ways, that feel as they would go to nowhere – some really do some just take a long walk until you can see where they lead to. Some might request major changes and decisions and some just need next to nothing to decide the change.

I am at one of those junctions, maybe even one of the dead-end ones in RL and SL. While it is a little more complicated in RL, in SL I just need to get my mind straight and think about what I really want for my free time activity called Second Life. I – and I only can talk about myself and my personal feelings – do not need a Second Life that dictates my schedule, gives me pressure time wise, forces me to decide on things I do not feel I want to, or to follow something I am not 100% behind anymore. Certainly I feel responsible about schedules and appointments, I always tried to be accurate, on time and well prepared what ever it was, but sometimes the thought of “Do I really need that?” sneaked into my mind and I was more careful the next time I committed to something. But what about things that you thought they would totally suit you and you would enjoy them – what you maybe even did for a while – and then they change? Maybe the fun fades or they take direction to something completely different than what you expected or pictured? I have a hard time lettings things go I had fun with for along time, especially if friendship is involved. It is always harder – at least for me – to leave something, if you have built a friendship with some of the people. Sometimes friendships break as certain people will take your decisions personally, even if they are not meant to be like that. On the other hand if you go on with it, you might risk the friendship as well as you are constantly unhappy and even if you try to hide it, it most likely will be felt by other people, especially if it is friends. Often it is a tightrope walking and you have to think very carefully how you decide.

That sometimes can lead to a “Virtual Insanity”, which inspired me for todays post and pictures.

The damn cool straight jacket was made by CerberusXing for the Warehouse Sales event. It comes in a clean and bloody version and due the BoM Alpha layer you can wear it with different mesh bodies. The cute, pierced horns as well were made by CerberusXing for the Anthem event. My mega awesome piercing I found at Kinky made my .:E.A.Studio:. It is a huge gacha with many different parts, while the piercing is one of the rares you will find a lot of cool earrings as well. To snap my pictures with that kinda crazy, insane look, what could be better than the Rosewood Hills Asylum made by DRD. It is a huge gacha with 49 collectables items and they make in total over 150 separate decorative items! The gacha set was parted into 2 machines, one focusing more on the medical interior and the other on the office interior. I just can say both totally worth to collect if you want an overall awesome Asylum!
