For the current issue of the Eclipse Magazine, again I was allowed to showcase a role play genre. My choice this time was Vampires. I wanted to cover the more traditional and vintage side of it as well as the modern one.

For the more traditional, Victorian one I had the great pleasure, to get some company from Vivien Delancoure. It is always fun to do picture with friends, but usually I just do not dare to ask, as sometimes I take ages until I have my final pose, shot and background. I hate to waste others peoples time. With Vivien it was different. She is a blogger as well, making wonderful pictures and creates most of her poses by herself – Just take a look at her Flickr HERE. So she knows how long it can take and that made me brave enough to ask her, if she would like to join me for a picture. Her style is usually goth-romantic or dark romantic, which already was perfect for what I was going for. She was so sweet and patient and made the whole shoot to a lot of fun combined with a lovely chitchat 😉 I have a feeling, that this will be not our last shoot together as it really was awesome to work with her.

It was time for some new freaky pictures with all the cool new releases from CerberusXing and L’Emporio&PL these days :p
Maybe it is the craziness of these days in the real world, or it is the Christmas time which I am not so much into it, or it is just the general fun I do have with dark posts and pictures… but I really had fun doing those.
The inspiration to this post gave me the “Kick It” finger bandages from L’Emporio&PL. They look so detailed and move so perfectly with your bento animations. I love that you can have a clean and a bloody version. As well I owed you a peek on those cool toe claws, which are included in the “Damned Claws” set as well made by L’Emporio&PL (you can find them on the last picture of this post).
The super cool earrings that I decided to put on my Kanji Ears from Eclipse Art Studio are made by L’Emporio&PL for the Man Cave Event this month. You get a wide range of 6 different designed earrings for each ear, plus a HUD where you can change the metal color between 6 different ones. Furthermore you can turn on and off the full bright mode, choose the glow intensity and resize your earrings with the HUD.
Today I read, that they found a mutation of the Covid virus in England and it already spread to other countries as well. I mean we all did know it was only about time before the first mutations would come, but it still was like a little shock. Even if the government tries to calm down the people by saying the vaccine still will work even for the mutation, who knows what the next step will be. I just hop you all are able to stay safe and healthy and survive this crazy year, ane even if the virus will reach with its long arm into 2021, I still hope we can stop the raising numbers and make them go down again.

RL sometimes really sucks… especially if it eats up more time as planned and it is not on your own to control it. I recently had a change in my RL job and the new association I am working for doesn’t seem like it is as promised when I had my interview there. I am sure many of you know that if you have your interview, everything sounds nice, all questions you had are answered positive, kinda like to good to be true and when you signed your contract, some things surprisingly change… I am sure I will work it out, but at the moment it just pulls on my nerves, it is time consuming and annoying.

It does hold me back from talking as much pictures as I planned and it does throw me back in my planned posts as well. But I will do my best to at least let all my dark visions for Halloween come true in time 😉

Today I do have some news from the mega cool Samhain event. It is a fantastic event, awesome venue and amazing designers do take part. My pictures today do showcase the incredible cool head piece from “CerberusXing”, the heavy arm chains from “Static”, the cool decor set from “Disorderly” and the amazing bra of the lingerie set from “The Rotting Lab”.

The uber-awesome face tattoo is a main store new release by “Eclipse Art Studio”, while you can find the amazing arms tattoo at the “Vegas Tattoos” main store.

Ballet – Classic versus Contemporary

For this issue of the Eclipse Magazine I was thinking a long time what I could do. I wanted a challenge for myself and I wanted to show that I can do different genres, not just the scary and crazy stuff 😉

When I thought about what would be the most opposite thing for me to do, I came across ballet. Something graceful and beautiful. While I was doing some research about it, I came across contemporary ballet as well. That really caught my attention, because I found some very impressing as well as emotional pictures and videos. That formed an idea of having 2 different pictures for the magazine – classic and contemporary. In the classic ballet I found very strict rules for the look and even for the hairstyles, while contemporary ballet gives you more freedom in that.

I felt like I was entering a new world, even if ballet wasn’t completely new for me – as a kid I had to go through that kids ballet classes like so many of us. It didn’t last long as I had more fun with gymnastics, riding, swimming and playing volleyball and so those ballet classes stopped after at most a year I think. Being a punk and later a gothic girl in my teens and twens, ballet wasn’t a thing or an option at all *giggles*

Seeing all those pictures and videos, inspired me a lot and the idea for this month genre was made. While I was thinking, where I could find the clothing and accessories for my new idea, Salt & Pepper must have read my mind. She released a huge set of ballet collection at Equal 10 with her “Ballet Dancer Set”. That was the perfect outfit for my classic ballet dancer. I couldn’t even use all parts for my first picture, that means I will have to do another post to show the whole beauty and contents of that set.

For my second picture, I did remember a set, which I already showcased on my blog in the light version. Since I wanted the classic ballet to be in a light muted color, the contemporary ballet was meant to be darker and more ‘me’ and my personal thought of it and so the “Skye Dancer” gacha in black was the perfect choice for what I had in mind. I am really a lover of mix and match but sometimes, if you go for a certain look or genre, mixing too many things and overload the avatar can be contra-productive. That is why I nearly have no accessories or anything that could disturb from the essence of the picture, the emotions and the mood.

A huge thank you goes out to my sister Daffodil Crimson, who helped me with the amazing description for the magazine. English is not my native language, so I often hit her IM box, if it comes to “official” texts for magazines and such. Usually I do collect facts and free sources or try to  write somethings on my own, if I am familiar with the theme. For the ballet one I only had a brief idea what I wanted to be written and that time Daffi jumped in and wrote everything on her own. When she came it to me to read it, I just was blown away! It was so very well written and had exactly in it what I was desiring for, but in words that described it so much better than anything I could have come up with. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for again saving my SL life like so often sis!!!

I hope you enjoyed my little ballet adventure – for the next issue of Eclipse Magazine I will have another “unusual” genre for me, which gives me quite a challenge but I am looking forward to the final frames 😉

Sometimes one of your Dreams comes true…

Sometimes you dream of something for a long time and when you think not too much about it, it all of a sudden comes true!

As a blogger you have some personal goals and this year another one of my biggest ones came true. I am allowed to blog for Death Row Designs! I am a DRD addicted for years, probably since I started playing Second Life. I adore their buildings and landscaping parts as well as their clothing, accessories and shoes. My inventory still holds accessories and body parts from times before mesh did enter the grid and now with BoM some of them do work again! And certainly I do not want to bother you only with the old stuff – Today I have something brand new for you! The “Hellion Outfit”, released at The Warehouse Sale event. The outfit is made for Maitreya Lara,/Petite, Legacy and Legacy Perky , Freya and Hourglass mesh bodies. The pants have 4 colors to choose from and the top even have 7 different versions – if I may give a suggestion… just get the fatpack, it is so worth it and you do not have to decide!

To complete my first ‘official’ DRD look, I certainly had to dig in my DRD folder to find all the goodies, which I already own, like the “Sticker Stompers” and the super cool beer hat, which even is an actual group gift at the DRD main store.

The mega cool neck tattoo, which goes down from the back of the head, touches the chin and goes down the cleavage in a new release as well and was made by Eclipse Art studio for the Kinky event. Since we have BoM it is so cool that you can have seamless tattoos that go up to your head as well – I always loved the idea of that, when a tattoo not just stops at the neckline. Speaking already of new releases, we cannot forget the generous gift called “Take Over”, that Vegas Tattoo put out at UBER!

Most of the time I do make my own sets for my shoots, but this time I decided to just hop down on the sim, outside of our store, where I was allowed to create Bartertown, a neat little post apoc place. What could make a better scenery for such a cool casual look than something from DRD? I decorated Bartertown with a lot of DRD designs and the “Beer Stand – Collection” felt like the right choice. I am looking forward on my new adventure with the awesome and crazy DRD team – I can’t wait to see what will be their next release 😉

I guess I should refill my beer hat and go for some shopping for my next post 😉

It has so many great details amd the textures are just incredible amazing. You do not have to use the full set and can decorate something with all the single parts as well, but I just loved how the softlink version did look like. The pack contains 20 single parts and you can arrange them as you like as well if you do not want to use the pre-made linked version. I love that DRD always provides a soft-linked version for all their buildings and structures, which allows you still to re-arrange or you can built your own version with all the single parts.

Humanity doesn’t count anymore?

Sometimes life just a bitch… or better not life it self but the people around you who you count on. About 6 years ago, I was asked if I would like to teach again. I had studied to become a teacher but I never did the second exam, as music took over back then and in the end I never saw me as a full time teacher anyways, because I need variety on my life and that is why I chose to be a musician.

So after nearly 15 years I was asked if I could help to built up a school band at a regular school. It sounded like fun and now after 8 years I am even leasing it on my own. While I was just working on music lessons and ensemble classes,  I was asked if I could jump in with regular teaching as well, because one of the teacher of the school became sick. I thought why not and gave it a try with just a few hours per week over a couple of weeks. That apparently did work out so well, that I got asked if I could imagine to be a regular teacher as well just not full time but with a certain amount of hours per week – that was about 6 years  ago. Over the time I did well enough so they asked me for more hours per week and since all the people at this school were so nice and I anyways was there for the school band it really was a great time. I even got the leadership for the English and Music department for the school and did all the exams for that the past 4/5 years – the past 3 years all on my own. So I thought, the state – which is the employer for teachers – seems ok with me being at that school. I only got yearly contracts, but that is quite normal when you only have the first exam but not the second one.

But my work must have been good enough and it was even to see with the kids. When I started, I had one person doing the final exams in English and 2 who did Music. Now after 6 years I have 18 students doing the English exams and 12 or more who do Music. And 98% of them graduated with amazing results! For English that is not not normal in that tyle pf school as they usually already struggle with Maths and German.

And then a couple of days ago, I was told I am not longer needed. It felt like a punch right in my face. With Corona the teacher situation is anyways not the best at the moment and they tell me I am no long er needed?!? Then all of a sudden a few days later, they told me to apply again and made it very urgent, so I stopped doing what I was doing and sat down writing my application again. A day later I get an email that my application wasn’t successful and that I already had way too long contracts without having my second exam… I was like WTF? They need people and I was doing a good job with success that was visible… I just lost all trust into the world around me. With that happening they even risk the school band as they have no one who has the skills nor the will to run it. We are an inclusion school.. a school were all kids can be anyways if they are completely healthy, autistic or disabled ion any other way. That as well means you have different way of teaching and music is not just achievement-oriented, but as well a certain type or therapy. That means it is not a typical school band. I have 40 up to 78 kids every year in one band sitting in one room and half of them have their little “weakness” in what ever kind of way. I do not care about those and try to take them as they are, trying to make everything possible so they can learn an instrument, percussions or singing as well, even if the conditions are not that great. I simply enjoy the smile if a student holds a guitar and can play some sort of power chords even if their fingers are not working 100%, or an autistic that can relax while doing percussions and forget about being different than other kids. Over the years I was allowed to learn so much and I enjoyed every minute of it. We even won regular school band contests and were told we are just such a huge bunch of diversity and unique characters. And now they tell me I already had too many contracts for having no second exam?!? Experiences, workshops and seminars plus good work does not count? I have to say getting the second exam you have to teach for 2 years under the wings of an older teacher – that is all. So 6 years of successful work doesn’t make up for missing 2 years of tutored teaching?!? Seriously I do not understand the world anymore if paragraphs count more than the kids or their happiness and success. I do not know yet, what I will do as I am feeling way too hurt and broken at the moment and Corona doesn’t make it easy either to go back doing more music again or give private music lessons. I know something will pop up and make it better again – it always was like that but for now I am just speechless how people can decide over other people like that not even knowing or being interested to look deeper into their work. Humanity doesn’t count againts rules and paragraphs anymore…

Finally I have Summer Holidays! 6 weeks of fun, being lazy or creative as I want, sleep when and as long as I want… just freedom all over!

Recently I met a cool girl in Second Life and while we were talking, I realized it is the creator of  [I♥F]&co. When I think back, she was one of the first.. if not THE first who did scripted clothing in terms of being removable/strip-able. It is a ton of work as we all know that clothing doesn’t move by itself naturally in Second Life so she has to make different meshes for all steps of  undressing! Soon I will do a longer post about that to showcase you the possibilities of that kind of clothing.

For today I chose one of my favorites from [I♥F] for my pictures – The “Ginger” outfit. A wonderful corset with pasties and a loose panty. The textures are incredible amazing, we all know latex is a very difficult fabric in SL ;). You get a glossy and a ‘normal’ option if you purchase the outfit, which gives you a wide range of possibilities to wear that amazing design. I chose the glossy version as it reacted so incredible to the lights and projectors I wanted to use.

First I thought about doing a fetish post, but then I thought that would be too obvious *winks*. So I decided to go with something different. I remembered the cool vending machine from Ex Machina, which instantly brought the memory of the “Clockwork Orange” movie to my mind. Having that crazy movie in mind it wasn’t had to come up with a crazy set and picture idea :p

Another thing I would like to point out is the amazing makeup from CAZIMI. I am addicted to my new Evolution heads from LeLUTKA (I can’t yet decide if I want to stay with Lake or to change again to Fleur) and CAZIMI does perfect HD appliers for the new LeLUTKA Evolution line AND super cool BoM layers as well. With those layers you can mix and  match your makeups again! For this post I did not just use one of her newest release – The “Starlet Lashes” Applier for Evolution heads – I as well mixed 2 of the “Cruel Summer Eyeshadows” to create a color that matched my tattoo! CAZIMI includes different opacities in some of her creations and that gives you such a wide range of possibilities to experiment for even more colors! Try for yourself and discover new way of putting your makeup together!
