MVW 2012: Evening Gown for Miss Australia 2012 by Tres Beau & Finesmith

Again we have a wonderful gown by Tres Beau combined with Finesmith jewelry that made it in the Top 12 of Miss Virtual World 2012… even more this combination of the “Miss Rissa” gown of Tres Beau and the “Tribal Glam” set from Finesmith brought Miss Rissa Friller – Miss Australia 2012 – on place 2 of the MVW contest this year. Lets take a look on the gown first. Kimmera Madison again showed her incredible skills of making textures and designing a stunning evening gown for Miss Australia 2012. The basic is made in silver. Silver is not an easy color for clothing in second life, most of the textures look grey and do not have any shine. But not for Tres Beau. The long experiences and the awesome skills of Kimmera Madison make this gown shine in a stunning silver attire. The ornaments look beautiful and give the gown even more highlights as it anyways has. The tight gown makes an awesome silhouette and the big mermaid skirt is a wonderful contrast to the shoulder free top of the gown. The ornaments are brought adorable on the gown so that you can move and pose without stretching this wonderful textures, again something that is not that easy I was told. So, no wonder that Miss Rissa Friller became the 1st runner-up for MVW 2012. The stunning gown is now available for everyone at the Tres Beau Mainstore.

For the jewelry, again we can see how close the designers work together to create this incredible looking styles. Yula Finesmith outdid herself again with catching the style and shape of the wonderful ornaments that Kimmera put on the gown. The swirls she did for the necklace, the bracelet and the ring are breathtaking awesome. Yula as well picked up the colors and made a firework of art with colors and design for this beautiful “Tribal Glam” set.The earrings, 2 little flowers,ย  are so unbelievable filigree and little, what again shows the incredible skills of yula Finesmith. The love for the detail yula and Kimmera both have in an awesome way. The great “Tribal Glam” set is now available at the Finesmith Mainstore.

MVW 2012: National Gown for Miss Estonia 2012 by Bare Rose

The wonderful national costume for Miss Estonia 2012, comes from Bare Rose. Bare Rose is a well-known brand in Secondlife and it always stood for quality and very creative outfits. I have a lot of Bare Rose outfits already and they always were something special to me, as they are different to most of the usual designs. Bare Rose covers a wide range of different styles like casual, fantasy, formal, japanese designs and nearly all what you can think of. Nala Kurka, Miss Estonia 2012, decided to go to June Dion for her national costume and I have to say what came out is really something unique and outstanding. “Cologne” the wonderful costume is named and you must have mesh enabled to see it properly, as the skirt is made in the mesh technique. The outfit it self comes as a ready-to-wear outfit and I just added hair and the facemask by myself. The textures are made very filigree and with the love to the detail. the little ring and the jewelry looking part round the neck are as well part of the outfit and so is the hat. The wonderful designed ruffles and the filigree jewelry parts show the great designing skills of June Dion. “Cologne” now is available at the Bare Rose Mainstore.

MVW 2012: National Gown for Miss Australia 2012 by Tres Beau & Finesmith

The amazing and very artistic national gown for Miss Australia 2012 was made by Kimmera Madison, genius designer of Tres Beau. This gown is a total piece of art and a real outstanding design. The inspiration for this awesome creations was the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. Kimmera brought it on the runway with this incredible design. What you sadly can not see on the picture is the floating water texture that covers parts of the skirt. You really get the imagination or water that is running down the skirt again and again like a little waterfall that Miss Rissa Friller, Miss Australia 2012 carried around. Now available for everyone, you will find the “Miss Australia 2012” gown at the Tres Beau Mainstore.

To make the imagination of the living Great Barrier Reef perfect, Kimmera added certain parts out of the ocean, like seashells, fishes, little nemos, corals, and anemones for the back part and the huge head piece. This gown perfectly shows the skills and knowhow of Kimmera Madison. Her ideas and the ability to create exactly what she has in mind and her awesome textures and prims, make her so popular for such a long time. That maybe explains why most of the MVW candidates find their ways to Tres Beau for their gowns and costumes. For this year “Miss Australia 2012” was one of the 2 gowns from Tres Beau, that brought Miss Rissa Friller the 1st runner-up for Miss Virtual World 2012!

The jewelry for Miss Australia 2012 for sure came from Finesmith. Rissa was the Face of Finesmith for 2011 and so for sure yula made the jewelry for both of her gowns. The “Oceania” set was made for her national costume and it as well takes the theme of the Great Barrier Reef. The earrings, bracelet and ring carry as well seashells, corrals paired with awesome noble metals and gems. Matching nails for the “Oceania” set were the “Ocean” nails as well from Finesmith. Finesmith Muse 2012 – Semi Finale Review

Yesterday, on the 27th of November, the semi finals for the Finesmith Muse 2012 took place. I was allowed to be one of the lucky ones to be part of it . We got a very nice challenge and rules for our styling.

Yula send out a NC with the requests she had for all of the contestants. The theme was fantasy but still being human, so not having fantasy skins… some people told me that this is my theme to go wild with horns and wings and stuff… so I wanted to go completely different and not doing what people expect from me :p. So I took the risk to go for cute and fairytale *grins* rare but there ๐Ÿ˜‰

As well I wanted to redo as many jewelry attachments to use them as a different thing as they usually were thought for. So the great “Victorian Secrets” earrings became my dolly ballet shoes, The “Jellyfish” headpiece became the dolly skirt and as well parts of the bracelets. Then a windup dolly needs a wind up key so I just took the “Victorian Secret” necklace, turned it around and made it way bigger before I attached it to my back ;). The collar inspired by Blackliquid went on my head, got turned around and turned into a hat ๐Ÿ™‚

To make the fantasy fairytale complete I had the idea of a lonely sad windup dolly locked away in her glass cage and my genius sister Rhonda Pennell helped me with the story and proper english ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thank you sissy!

Few of us can resist the magical power of a full moon shining brightly in the otherwise dark hours of the night…for some, it means sleepless wandering, for others, a metamorphosis. But for one single doll, a wind-up doll locked in a glass cage, it means a taste of freedom.

You see, our lovely doll, Wicca Merlin, was betrayed by the young, dashing prince she once loved. The prince was very charming and swept Wicca off her feet from the start, but he soon met another woman who was a beautiful but cunning witch, and he began spending more time with her and less with Wicca.

Poor Wicca! Her sweet, innocent soul unable to withstand the raging waves of jealousy, she became enraged and locked the prince away, letting him out only once every month on a full moon – for it was the most romantic time that Wicca could imagine spending with him. But the young witch found out, and before long, she and the prince schemed against our doll to doom her to the same fate.

Cursed, Wicca must now endure long, lonely hours in her glass cage, its door unlocking only on a moonlit night. But she must return before sunrise when the door once again closes, or she will perish in an instant.

Tonight the door opens once more, and our doll steps out in all of her shining Finesmith beauty. She takes a breath of the fresh, cool air, spreading her arms decorated with “Buckleup Jellyfish” bracelets like wings unfolding, and slowly begins to twirl. Her “Jellyfish”dolly skirt, her “Victorian Secret”ballet shoes, her “Leah”corset and even the hair with the “Blackliquid” hat, all sparkling and glistening under the moonlight, making her feel beautiful – and hopeful that perhaps this time, this very night, at last she might find a true love to rescue her from the confines of the glass cage forever, for only true love can break the curse.

The hours pass by, and lovely Wicca enjoys rare moments of happiness as she runs through the forest, and once even passes by a small pond where frogs croak softly by the edge and fish chase each other below the water, all doused in a silver moonlight glow. Or is the glow coming from our doll herself? She gently dips a finger in the water and giggles, as tiny circles spread from the center and grow larger, momentarily distorting her reflection.

But morning comes quickly, and in growing despair Wicca realises that she must once again return to the glass box. A single tear drops from her eye like a liquid diamond…She turns around once more, then steps inside as the door begins to close. As she prepares to go to sleep for another month, a soft glow remains, emanating from her Finesmith outfit – a glow of hope for eventual salvation.

The End

Mea Culpa – “Broken Mirror”

Again we have incredible news at Mea Culpa. Designed for the ‘One in a million’ contest “Broken Mirror” was the outfit Tatanka Kaligawa made to enter.

“Broken Mirror” is a incredible, extraordinary, modern and fresh creation. The prims and sculpties are textured with perfection and the layers are beautiful fabrics that needed very filigree and unique work. The awesome glasses, earrings and shoes are as well part of the outfit.

The prims have an amazing shine that makes the whole design very realistic. The shoes – as always for Mea Culpa shoes – have a HUD that is included as well, what lets you match the skin of the bare foot to your own skin tone. As well you can change the toe nail color.
