Wicca’s Wardrobe: Trouble

Today, while I was driving home from RL work, they played an older song from P!NK at the radio – “Trouble”. I did not hear that song in ages and as I arrived at home I had to listen a few more times to it. During that I logged into SL and started my SL day as usually with making some styles for the blog, I saw that little note beside my keyboard that reminded me of styling a casual corset outfit, like I promised in my last corset post.

Still the song “Trouble” from P!NK was running on my itunes and I could not resist… so the casual styling still have to be done somewhen, as this one turned out very punky :p

But even that is possible with the corsets of NV Corsetry 😉 Again I am very glad that I can show, that corsets have such a wide style range 🙂 Even the music industry in RL discovered that again and again. Singers like Lady Gaga, Pink, Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation) and many others include corsets in their stage outfits. They simply add a sexy and elegant touch to everything what you wear and do not disturb any styling 🙂

For the shoes the choice fell on one of the newest Redgrave boots called “Bonnie Boots”. This boots really rock. You will get 2 versions in one pack, one with golden and one with solver hardware and sole. The combination of leather and cotton really makes this super-higheeled plateau boots perfect for every occasion.

To make the look perfect I added one of my favourite LeeZu jeans and a casual shirt as well from LeeZu.

But now it is time to switch the music and say bye bye to P!NK for now :p

Wicca’s Wardrobe: LOTD 01/30/2012 – The Day After…

30th of January… 2007 I was born in SL and now we have 2012… 5 years in SL, that’s a long time. I usually tend to forget that date as I did today. I realized it as the clock on my computer turned to 1AM and the date switched*grins*. So, today.. or better yesterday, I spent my SL day with styling and making pictures… like mostly*lol*. I had an argument lately with a few ppl about corsets. Some wanted to tell me corsets are fetish, others told me they are porn and some said corsets are lingerie only. But I disagreed and still do. Corsets came from way in the past before we had all those fancy leather and latex stuff and they were part of awesome medieval gowns for example.

So I took myself to a challenge that I can wear corsets without any touch of all that prejudices and create a modern non avantgarde look. Ok I admit… it turned out in some postapocalyptic again lightly but that might be because of my favour for this kinda pictures *smiles* Maybe if you just put the whole outfit in a different scenery it looks different again, but the big hoodie on the “Anath” jacket of Miamai. The rats that are placed over the shoulder just underlined the feeling of the day after a worldwide catastrophe where you just wake up and try to survive, maybe try to find other people and some food. The white corset comes from NV Corsetry. I discovered this store over 2 of my sissies, Lexie and Lorelei. The introduced me to Khurt Vhargon, owner and designer of NV Corsetry. He makes a very new kind of corsets, fully scripted to resize them in every direction. You can choose if you only wanna make it longer or wider and not just resize the full object… really an innovation for corsets in SL. As well he created so many different styles and different fabrics that you really get in trouble if you visit his store as you have a hard time to choose. The newest addition to that corsets is, that now he can help you fit the corset as well if you cannot do it on your own with a remote control of the script. That means he can operate the script while you are wearing his corsets. I only saw this technique at BAX before for the boots and it will be really helpful, if you are not yet that experienced in SL with fittings and scripts and still wanna wear one of his amazing corsets 🙂

For the pants I chose one of my all time favourites from LeeZu, the “Madison” pants. The earrings and bracelets come from Finesmith and the face tattoo from White Widow, as well favourite stores of mine 🙂 The skin is made by Malicia Python, owner and designer of Silken Moon. She made me this special makeup for the “Rookie” skin, called “Childhater” as I wanted black lips and dark smokey eyes. One example for the great custom makeups you can get from Silken Moon 🙂 As I had to walk through water for that post :p the water swallowed the cool “Pomski” boots from Kookie…

I hope I could prove my opinion, that corsets are not only porn, fetish, lingerie or avantgarde… they can be so much more and as well a part of everyday looks if you combine them with jeans and a casual blouse :). *makes a note to herself for a new look*

And so I will bring the box I found, in the water at the beginning of my post,  back home and see what I got…

Corsets… nowadays many just see them for fetish fashion, but the history of corset for sure is way older and it was part of fashion way back in the past a lot more. I discovered corsets in my RL as well and I have to admit they change not only your look while wearing them, they as well changes you attitude and behaviour. Because I like corsets in RL, I certainly looked in Sl to find some good ones. The best I found, before I was introduced to NV Corsetry by Lexie Jansma and Lorelei Maggs, were corsets made of jacket layers and some prim corsets that never fit my shape or has strange alpha prims around. NV Corsetry not. The have awesome prim corsets that are made with an awesome script that allows you to fit your corset exactly to your shape in all directions. You can just resize it completely, but as well you have the possibility to change the sides on x, y and z coordinates. That means you are able to only stretch or make it wider only. For me a revolution on SL corsets! Corsets are so versatile and you can create awesome fashion looks with them. You should make your way and try them at the NV Corsetry Mainstore.

MVW 2012: Evening Gown for Miss Belgium 2012 by Champagne & Finesmith

The stunning evening gown of Miss Belgium 2012, Miss Sylphia Constantine, was made by Champagne! Sparkling Fashion. Enzo Champagne himself created this wonderful and stunning evening gown for the this year Miss Virtual World challenge. The deep and shining red immediately caught my eyes. This is the red of an elegant and sophisticated gown called “Heart of Belgium”. The skirt is made dreamy flexible and if you take a closer look you can see all the awesome details. The waistpart that leads over to the skirt so perfectly, the silver decorations and the black and red feathers at the left hip… simply amazing. The upper part surrounds the waist and chest beautiful like a tight corset without any lines over the shoulders.The right shoulder is repeating the feathers of the hips and as well the little silver ornaments. A delicate lace texture covers the right chest and goes up over the shoulder round the neck. The same fabric you will find foe the tiny gloves that add as well even more elegance. In th middle of the cleavage we have a little key… maybe the key to the heart of the owner, maybe the key to her jewelry box? 😉

Talking about jewelry… The wonderful and incredible “Lush” set was made by yula Finesmith and it highlights the whole style of the fashionista. The little earrings go perfect with the huge shoulder piece and the hairpin puts a nother beautiful accent on every hairstyle. The bracelets repeat the shape of the hairpin again. The red of the jewelry is perfectly made according to the red of the gown and the silver as well goes with all the silver ornaments of the “Heart of Belgium”. MVW 2012: National Gown for Miss Belgium 2012 by Champagne & Finesmith

The wonderful, playful and still elegant national costume for Miss Belgium 2012 was made by Champagne! Sparkling Fashion. The sweet accent this outfit has combining with the cute flowers with the red and yellow colors gives the whole out fit immediately a positive attitude. The corset is made with such nice, filigree details, the texture with the little ornaments… just amazing. The flower decoration at the cheat part goes so wonderful with the jewelry and the short skit underlines the cute look perfectly. “Belgium Ducasse” was for one of the most cute outfits for this year MVW 🙂 The “Belgium Ducasse” dress you will find at the Champagne! Cute News by Ezura!!!

Ezura‘s latest release really is one of the most cute things I got lately. The sweet “Lolita Latex” dress really touched my ‘dolly heart’ 😉 I had to style it the cute way at least once 🙂 The short latex, flexi skirt perfectly goes with the “Lolita Latex” boots (sold seperately) in color and style. The corsage makes a strict and tight contrast to the puffy ruffles and the little brooch of the top.

As we know from Ezura, she always acts like a perfectionist if it comes to designs and textures. Latex is one of the most difficult texture to do in SL I was told by many designers, because of the lightnings and shadows to produce this typical shine. As we can see on this dress Ezura did an amazing job and made it as realistic as possible.

The dress is available in many different colors and for the “Twisted  Krissmuss Event”   Ezura made a special color, wich I liked a lot as well.

All prims do have resizer in it so that you can fit it perfectly to your avatar. For the skirt you have the flexi prim option that I have on my pics and as well a sculpted non flexi one. Yula is back, and I cannot even shoot the pictures so fast, that I can keep up with her new releases 🙂

“Liquid” is a very strong and powerful floating set. The long flexible ends that hang down from those awesome gems move fantastic. The idea of the corset looking waist part again shows if you have the right jewelry you can skip a piece of clothing 😉

H.O.R. – House of Rage opens the doors with “Evolution”!!!

I got the great opportunity to show you – right before the upcoming event (points above) – 2 of the new gowns of House of Rage, that are part of the “Evolution” line.

The first one would be “Lorna”. A wonderful, delicate and classy black shaded, high fashion gown.

The awesome detailed made feathers, are a special highlight on this gown. As you can see black has not to be black. All the great lights and shadows, show the ability of texturing and design that you will find in every outfit of the “Evolution” line. The feathers are dreamy flexible and you will turn heads if you walk this gown over the red carpet or any other event you choose to wear it 🙂

A perfect addition for this stunning evening gown were the new “Core” jewelry set from Finesmith Design the fresh and sharp edges and the pearls made a perfect finish for me 🙂

My second gown for today would be “Vila”…

“Vila” goes more in a sexy and couture direction, but even then you will see the high quality  what this gown is made with. “Vila” is a mixture of so many different fabrics, that you have to take more then one look to discover all the amazing details. The corset is an opaque, tight black basic. If you zoom closer, you can see the amazing ornaments that decorate even the corset.

The bodice is made of beautiful lace and the sheer character adds a very sexy and young, modern touch. The skirt, as well a sheer fabric glimmers and sparkles in an awesome way. As additional decoration you have a wonderful lace prim for the right shoulder and the head also. For this amazing dress I chose as well one of the latest releases from Finesmith Design, called “Optimism”. Yula Finesmith released 7 pairs of earrings a few days ago and yesterday the matching necklaces… so run and see them all at the Mainstore 😉

Lately Xenobia Foxclaw had a great idea… she asked all the Finesmith models to think about their favourite Finesmith Designs set, snap it, write a few words about and posted them on the Finesmith Designs Blog. It was really hard to decide but in the end this was my contribution to it 😉

“As I was asked to pic my favourite Finesmith jewelry pieces, I did not think not too long and said “Yes sure, gimme a few minutes”…
…but then I was going over and over my Finesmith pieces and found out … it is harder then I thought to find my “favourite”, because if I woudl add all the ones I call my favourites one picture would not be enough 😉
So I was thinking, to wich piece I have the most personal relationship…
It was a huge honor for me to be chosen as one of the Finesmith Muse 2011. All of the finalists got a signature Inspiration set that carries our name. Yula put in so much time, effort and love in each piece she created. She tried to make for each of us a very personal set that mirrors our style and personality. For that she took time for each of us for talking to know us better and find out more about each finalist.
To honor all that she did and because she catched myself so much in the “Wicca” inspiration set I chose to wear it as my personal favourite.
Thank you Yula and the whole Finesmith Family, for a place in Second Life that I really can call home and family :)”
