Virtual Insanity?

When you think about your life as a path, it never seems to be a straight and smooth one. You have junctions, where you have to decide which way to go. You will face bumpy and rocky sections. You might even dead-end streets, which first looked completely right and all of a sudden you realize it won’t let you go further than a certain point. You might find ways, that feel as they would go to nowhere – some really do some just take a long walk until you can see where they lead to. Some might request major changes and decisions and some just need next to nothing to decide the change.

I am at one of those junctions, maybe even one of the dead-end ones in RL and SL. While it is a little more complicated in RL, in SL I just need to get my mind straight and think about what I really want for my free time activity called Second Life. I – and I only can talk about myself and my personal feelings – do not need a Second Life that dictates my schedule, gives me pressure time wise, forces me to decide on things I do not feel I want to, or to follow something I am not 100% behind anymore. Certainly I feel responsible about schedules and appointments, I always tried to be accurate, on time and well prepared what ever it was, but sometimes the thought of “Do I really need that?” sneaked into my mind and I was more careful the next time I committed to something. But what about things that you thought they would totally suit you and you would enjoy them – what you maybe even did for a while – and then they change? Maybe the fun fades or they take direction to something completely different than what you expected or pictured? I have a hard time lettings things go I had fun with for along time, especially if friendship is involved. It is always harder – at least for me – to leave something, if you have built a friendship with some of the people. Sometimes friendships break as certain people will take your decisions personally, even if they are not meant to be like that. On the other hand if you go on with it, you might risk the friendship as well as you are constantly unhappy and even if you try to hide it, it most likely will be felt by other people, especially if it is friends. Often it is a tightrope walking and you have to think very carefully how you decide.

That sometimes can lead to a “Virtual Insanity”, which inspired me for todays post and pictures.

The damn cool straight jacket was made by CerberusXing for the Warehouse Sales event. It comes in a clean and bloody version and due the BoM Alpha layer you can wear it with different mesh bodies. The cute, pierced horns as well were made by CerberusXing for the Anthem event. My mega awesome piercing I found at Kinky made my .:E.A.Studio:. It is a huge gacha with many different parts, while the piercing is one of the rares you will find a lot of cool earrings as well. To snap my pictures with that kinda crazy, insane look, what could be better than the Rosewood Hills Asylum made by DRD. It is a huge gacha with 49 collectables items and they make in total over 150 separate decorative items!  The gacha set was parted into 2 machines, one focusing more on the medical interior and the other on the office interior. I just can say both totally worth to collect if you want an overall awesome Asylum! Presenting DRD’s and Wicca’s Originals first ever collab!

Death Row Designs has teamed up with Wicca’s Originals to create the Alyx Legs. This prosthetic design is for the destitute out there, who can’t afford top-end medical limb replacements or don’t have access to a proper hospital. However, it’s also so much more than a simple peg leg. It sports a bucket thigh holder, with plenty of room to affix bumper stickers connected to a simple but functional hinge joint for the knee, which may squeak on occasion if left unoiled. The attachable wooden leg itself is the bottom half of a walking cane, complete with a rubber stop at the end to help with ‘grip’. However, it’s also so much more, to help you get a ‘leg up’ on your current, unfortunate situation! It has a utilitarian wire basket, to hold your various odds and ends in to help survive the wastelands. And for anyone who tries to give you any snark about your leg, there’s a sharp knife and back end of a sawblade where the foot might be, ready to deliver an attitude adjustment to them. The Alyx Legs are fitted to Maitreya, Legacy, Hourglass, Freya, and Signature Gianni bodies. The accompanying HUD offers both Wicca’s Originals and Death Row Designs textures, and the color palette has a full 21 color options, giving great styling flexibility. While we are sorry for your loss of limb, we won’t ask how, and simply hope the Alyx Legs will help make your unique situation a bit more tolerable.

So many new releases I just had to do another post today!

I would like to highlight some really exciting news. Lets start with the extraordinary eyes and glasses of my more casual looking styling – at least for me that would be casual :p

The glasses and the eyes are made by Madame Noir. Known for her incredible and extraordinary eye designs she started  – for quite some time now – to make amazing fierce accessories. For example the “Aniquilation Glasses” – on the first view you just see those awesome shaped glasses with the huge side parts and if you take a closer look you see those nasty little claws that point right into your eye. Paired with the new “Spectro” eyes, it gives you a totally wicked look.

Since we are already looking at the closeup picture – LeLUTKA has again updated their new Evolution line heads! Now they are all boundless… what does that mean… they now have unrestricted bones! Yu can even customize your heads more than ever and if you absolutely don’t like it you still get the option with the ‘dated’ heads as  well included in the new update pack. The great HUD git an update too and was polished even more. Omega was removed for skin and lashes layers, a second HD eyeshadow has been added, we got a new HD brow layer and a tear line has been added. While we already had so many awesome moods for our heads, we now even get more – 64 moods in total! The face expressions got reworked too and even there we got more now \o/.

What I totally love is, that you now do not have to wear all piercings single anymore. Now we have 3 different sets: Ears, lip and nose and an extra HUD. With that HUD you can hide/show the piercings way easier and detailed.

The super cute and to the same time mega cool shoes, are made by DRD. The “Girlie Stompers” You get a rigged and un-rigged version so you can make the best fit even with pants, which usually require a wider shape. With the color HUD you get different options and colors for laces, bow, shoe base, shoe tip and the platforms. Since  am a DRD addicted, I could not resits to use the cool “Gypsy Claws” as my hand accessories and all the amazing decoration of my set you can see, is made by DRD too (I credited them all detailed below).  To finish my look I used one of the lates releases from Vegas Tattoo – the “Dark Body and Soul” tatoo available at the current round of UBER.

I could not resist to put that little, cute kitty from JIAN into my pictures, as I loved the little distraction to the whole scenery, which that little boy brought to the set 😉

I hope I did not scare yo with all the little pictures and details, but I felt they needed to be shown for the new 2.5 update of LeLUTKA, which I immensely enjoy 😉

Again I do have some amazing designs released at the Necrotize event! As mentioned before Necrotize is an event run by Second Life Syndicate. But who is Second Life Syndicate? The 3 genius minds behind that are Ylva Korhonen, Akira Voorhees and Helena Stringer – certainly they do have an amazing team and people that collaborate with them, but those 3 are the heads behind events like “Engine Room”and “Necrotize” and many more. Second Life Syndicate is not just only an event group, they are as well having a huge website where they provide latest news from the grid like sales, other popular events, freebies and group gifts from so many different stores. What I do like a lot is that they do have a lot of galleries, which make it easy to look through before you have to TP around yourself – I know… sometimes I am lazy, but I really enjoy that! You really should set a book mark for https://secondlifesyndicate.com/ to be informed and not miss out on any awesome deals!

Now lets take a closer look at today’s style with all those amazing new releases at Necrotize…

The amazing outfit was made by AsteroidBox. It already looked amazing on the vendor, but when I unpacked it I found – besides the color HUD – a super cool style HUD! What a genuine idea to give the possibility of having the lower pants hide-able for higher boots or the arms parts so that you can add armor or, like I did, the incredible “Dark Night Arms” from DRD! Speaking of those arms… they do come in so many different colors and you even have some bloody ones there, too!

What as well caught my eye when I saw it, was the amazing jawbone cover from Reliquary. A metal lower jaw with so many amazing details… simply awesome – you even have some metal teeth! The scary face tattoo was made by Rainbow Sundae and it perfectly matches with the body tattoo coming from Persephone – both Necrotize exclusives as well. You still have time to go over and look at that amazing venue, built by Walton F. Wainwright, owner and designer of ContraptioN. It did remind me of a combination of the Alien movies and some of the good old H.R. Giger designs, which cartainly became popular as well with the Alien movies again. If I can find a time when the event isn’t that crowded, I really would like to just snap some pictures there, too!

Today they Bloggies took place, the Blogger and Vlogger awards done by BVN. I was nominated in quite a few categories and so when I got the taxi to the celebration event, I did throw on something as formal as possible for me – I do not own one single gown anymore – and took the ride to the Seraphim sim, where the event took place. I never expect to actually win something as the competition is huge and there are so many amazing people nominated.

A lot of people were there and it looked all very festive and classy – I again felt so miss placed *giggles*. I am not used to go to such celebrations or awards, eve if as a musician in RL we had some… I just can’t get used to it for what ever reason. When they started the announcements and who won all the categories (yes there were quite a few :P), I still felt somehow excited and nervous. Even if you never really count to win something, the hope that it nevertheless happens sticks deep inside somehow, I guess that’s human after all.

But all of a sudden I heard the speakers saying my name and I was like “Wait what?!?” and it seems, I won the Best Shoe blogger award! O…M…G…! Thank you so much for everyone that voted for me!

Yesterday I had the honor to be asked if I would like to blog for {PSYCHO:Byts}… if I would like?!? YES!!! Certainly I would LOVE to! I do love that brand for a longer time and alraedy blogged the designs quite a few times *dances around* And her we go – my first blog as official {PSYCHO:Byts} blogger with the kick ass amazing “Nekhbet Mummy Arms” released at the Salem event. The arms are rigged for Maitreya and Legacy body only. With the huge HUD you can customize the skin, the bandages, the leather parts and the buckles. As well on the HUD you will find 3 buttons called “Whole”, “Half Sleeve” and “Hand”, which gives you even more possibilities to wear your awesome new arms.

CerberusXing and DRD have some hyper cool news as well, fir exmaple the super cool leg bandages I am wearing you can find at The Warehouse Sale event and the incredible mask, which reminded me aboutthe SAW movies , which I totally love, is one of the hunt gifts at the Hallow Manor event! Again I am coming to you with some creepy news from Madame Noir, Vegas Tattoo and DRD. The amazing statues in my back and the cool rosary you will find at the Hallow Manor event, while the creepy tongue is available at The Dark Style Fair. Lets talk about the cool statues first. The Agony statue collection contains 3 different pieces ( I will soon have a showcase of all 3 in one of my next posts) – one cooler than the others. I do love the one with the book chained against the head the most. For the background I used some of the common parts of the new “Rosewood Asylum” gacha- as well made by DRD – available at Epiphany at the moment.

The scary looking rosary from Madame Noir is connected to some sort of eye caps, which cover the eyes completely. With the HUD you can customize the caps and the pearls to 6 different colors, while you get 3 different metal options for the lines and the cross. The Tongue – available at Salon 52 – as well comes with a HUD, that allows you 7 lips colors, 4 tongue colors, 3 metal colors and 4 colors for the spikes above the lip.

An event I did discover because of Vegas Tattoo is the Panic of Pumpkin in Okinawa event. Vegas Tattoo released that cool “Death Geisha” tattoo and it perfectly matched my todays style. What I love a lot about this tattoo is, that it goes up to the chin. It gives an even darker and as well cooler look in my opinion and it isn’t that common to have a tattoo coming up so high – I love it :p As always you will get 3 different shades for your tattoo – light, medium and dark.

Damn only a few days  left until Halloween finally arrives… so much more creepy and scary ideas and so short time! *runs back to her working platform, shooting new pictures*

This time of the year usually feels the best to me. I can be me without getting asked if I am ok or if something bad happened *giggles* The season allows all the dark fantasies, creepy imaginations and scary moments with Halloween coming closer and closer.

I have so many ideas in mind i really have to channel them and thin about what I want to post next. I know I still want to showcase some of the amazing designs of the Engine Room while it still is running but I had to bring todays pictures first as it was itching so bad in my fingers. I made this pictures already a few weeks ago for an amazing exhibit at the L’autre Oeil Gallery and it already was hard to wait until the gallery opened *grins*

It is not a secret that I do have an addiction for the more darker side of fantasy. Recently a few people asked me why I am always wearing black or dark colors. They tried to challenge or even tease me, that it would not be difficult to create dark images with dark colors, while it would be way more difficult to manage that with light or pastel colors. Now since I have an super cute evil Kawaii doll daughter, who does really scary but pastel colored art work and pictures, I thought I would take n that challenge and chose to do the color I usually avoid the most to create some dark fantasy – PINK!

CURELESS has a perfect gacha released not too long ago, which was perfect for that project – The “Moirai Sisters” gacha. I took the amazing torso as base for my look and mixed and matched other designs with it. Since I thought it is kinda a sick idea, I used the super amazing “Welcome Home – Asylum Photo Scene” as background and decorated it with several items from DRD, CerberusXing and Remarkable Oblivion.

For the pose, I went to Le Poppycock. I did remember, that she released a gachas with that amazing skeletons. When I arrived there, I discovered she did not only have one! With the “Nyctophilia” gacha I found the perfect poses/props for my idea.

A week before Halloween and still so many creepy ideas left… lets see what else I can come up with 😉
