My Decision…

Not too long ago a very close friend of mine, Seaside, was IMing me, asking if I would be ok. First I was wondering why she would ask me that, but then she told me she was following my flickr and the latest, and very dark pictures did concern her. I thought that was very sweet and I tried to explain to her why I do have this super dark and destructive side as well. I was suffering of depressions a very long time of my life and I sometimes still do, but I learning to live and work with them. So if I do those very dark and morbid pictures, to me it is like checking up on an old friend, deep inside of me. This friend will never leave me, but we both learned how to co-exist. I just have to go there sometimes, to check on him and if he still is there in place, where I put him a long time ago. I do not know if that makes sense, but for me it is kinda like therapy and it does work out 90% of the time. The hard times, where I often was close to the moment of giving up, or even tried to give up are gone and that is what counts for me.

For quite some time, I did not want to see that. I thought with medicine, pills and therapy I can make it go away – I just wanted to ‘heal’. After many different attempts to do that, I met a wonderful person, that to me was more valuable than every therapist I ever met before. He was a therapist too, but I did not met him as a patient, I met him at one of my concerts and we became friends over the time. After we met several times we had a discussion about depressions and he gave me a completely new view on it. He told me, depressions would be kinda the same thing as being alcohol addicted, you can fight the symptoms, but not the facts, case or reasons. He stated, that I can decide, if I let the depressions take over my life or if I take control over the depressions. That sounds very easy , but it is not and I probably would not have been able to do that without any help. I was very lucky to have real friends and family, who helped me over the time of the learning process and it was not done in just a few weeks – it took years.

I decided to take control – even if I maybe never will have 100% of control, it made my life way easier that to just give up and live for the depressions. I wanted more from my life that what my depressions would have allowed me to do. But like I said before, sometimes that ‘old friend’ knocks at my door and I have to decide if I let him in, or if I just go out with him for a while or even go visit him at his place, where I can leave him when ever I want.

I know, depressions can be very different and there is no general solution for that, but you always have decision to fight against or to give up – I never won’t judge over someones decision, as either of both is an option to choose and while one can be good for someone, it can be bad for another person.

I hope, I could make sense with my words – English is not my first language 😉

Bound by Prejudices

How often you wondered why a certain person is not talking to you, even if you never ever had any conversation with that exact person before?

This post will be very personal out of my own experiences and opinions in my very own past and I will try my best, hoping I will make sense and will be understood right. I am not a native English Speaker so I hope that you will be lenient with me 😉

I am sure you know that situation, if you poke someone, to get some information and then you are being ignored for a long time without any answer. The after some time you dare to ask again, because the information would be really important for you and you could not find any other source of information and again you are ignored completely. you start to be scared and question yourself what you could have done to that person before, but you cannot even remember that you ever spoke to that person before. so you think your pokes might have got lost and you take all your strength and ask a 3rd time because you think your first two attempts failed, since you heard nothing back and all of a sudden you get yelled at O.O Not with the information you asked for – more like how you can dare to ask 3 times after you got ignored already before…

That did not happen too often thank god, but those kind of situations happen here and there again and again. Usually not that harsh but in the end it hurts the same if you just wanted some information and just get silence.

I mean if you could figure it out by yourself… fine then I would not even say a word but sometimes you have to ask for information of you cannot continue working on something.

The other side of the coin… How often you caught yourself avoiding several people just because you “heard” something about them?

I was thinking about that a lot lately. sometimes I just tried to avoid people because good friends of mine had real bad experiences with them and I felt I would betray them by talking to those people or even work with them. One part of my heart – out of loyalty – still believes in that, but seeing it from a business perspective the other part of my heart calls against it.

Maybe it is part of being a human that you try to protect your true friends by not making relation ships with people who hurt them but on a business perspective should you not be open minded and not biased by some things?

What about the phrase that everyone deserves a second chance? Is it not possible to be with people not mentioning or talking about a certain person?

It is a tricky subject I guess and maybe the intensity of what has happened and as well the particular story and facts might have a great influence on that.

It would make a difference if someone was ‘just’ rejected for something or somebody, or if he or she really was personally hurt. That maybe leads to the next problem, that some people take things personal quite fast… and who would be the judge to decide if it was real bad or just a misunderstanding? I guess I did wrong decisions in that case as well but I always try to be as neutral as I can especially if it comes to business stuff. Saying that, if I maneuver myself in such situations without aiming for that (and I am good in that for what ever reason) I try to be transparent and honest with that, so every party knows very well about my role and intention.

All my life I tried to not hurt people in any ways and still it happens sometimes without me knowing it. If that happens I never did want it like that, but it happened. So I have to – if I get the chance to do so – explain why it happened and maybe apologize if that is still possible, as I probably cannot make it undone (I would if I could, ,that’s a given). I had to learn the hard way that if you have an own opinion you might hurt people with it even if you do not want to. Just because sometimes things hurt people, even if you not ever thought about.

My grandfather used to say “You are the only one that decides what can/will hurt you and what won’t”

It took a long time, until I fully understood what that means and even now, I know it does not always work. But I as well learned being open minded for new acquaintances and situations even if people tried to warn me.

Even if I sometimes wish – after having my own experiences – I would have listened, I as well got to know people different, than what I was told. I was allowed to see different and amazing sides of people who I was told to never talk to. Sometimes you need to take a risk, maybe to get your own experiences and your own point of view about people. I just can say for my own personal opinion, I probably would take the risk of being hurt again, over the fact of just being biased or ignoring/blocking people just because I was told to. Even if it is the minority in such cases, I was allowed to meet wonderful people by just ignoring warnings and having my own experiences and I would not want to miss them in my life 😉 . Humans are different. Some do go along and some do not but without having my own experience I at least try (it does not work always 100%) to be open for my own experiences even if I might get hurt again, just because the only thing I dare to judge is myself (if that makes any sense… I hope it does).

Sometimes it is worth it to just slough off the ropes and bands that tie you down, to get up after you maybe got hurt and get rid of the bad feelings, that your experiences might have caused. The possibility that you can have a different experience with a different person is there, it just has to be made.

I try to tell that to myself everyday and most of the time it works. How we all could have learned to walk when we were young, if we would not have stood up all the time after we fell and had bruises and open knees? I am ready to get up again and to take off the blindfold and the bonds of my old experiences to make new ones, better ones and some that I never will forget. I won’t be infallible – I am human being – but I will try – every day again 🙂

Winter Echoes in Spring

I am not in gown moods too often, but if it is such a stunning gown like the “Yvaines Garment” from Enfant Terrible, even my smooth and romantic side comes through 😉

When I put on the gown, I immediately got a dreamy princess feeling. I added the amazing “Winter Fur” as well made by LeEnfant Terrible – I am sure no pixel animal had to die for it and it was just handmade by the amazing designer 😉

The incredible amazing head-piece was made my Eudora3D. It contains the headpiece, face chains and a left and right side part. For my post I used the silver one but you can get a gold version as well.

The hair certainly had to fit with the head-piece and as well I wanted it to go with the fantasy and dreamy idea. My final choice for the hair fell on the “Helga” hair style from EMO-tions. Usually I use a blonde tone but for my dreamy ice princess, this time I chose to go with a white hair color.

The awesome “Wassail” necklace, which perfectly matched the headpiece, comes from Empyrean Forge. I adore their jewelry a lot, as it is always so detailed that you have to zoom in really close to see all the amazing details.

The location is one of my favourites as well – Winter Moon. The whole year you have a winter themed sim installation with all kind of different corners for amazing pictures.

Spring is coming… soon! – Spring Dreams 2017

Today I am very happy to showcase one of the newest releases from Enfant Terrible. The stunning “Verdandi” dress is available at the actual round of the Enchantment.

I always admired Enfant for her stunning textures and her super amazing designs. And again the “Verdandi” dress shows exactly what I am talking about. The incredible texturing in different colors and as well the cool wrapped around belt make a great contrast. The dress looks so filigree and sophisticated and the strong leather belt with those cool studs just breaks up the romantic feeling in an amazing way.

The sweet head piece I found on the Enchantment event as well in a gacha machine from LODE. The “Bleeding Hearts” head piece with the little red hearts on top of the yellow/green leaves just made the perfect head dress for the “Verdandi” dress to me and it pulled back some of the romantic mood the dress has for me.

For the makeup and lipstick I decided to go with one of my personal favourites – Zibska. I love the creativity of Zib Scaggs, anyways if it is, apparel, makeup, shoes or accessories. She has such a great eye for colors, shapes and details and two of her newest make up releases I found at the Enchantment event as well. In total she has 4 packs – 2 eye shadows and 2 lipsticks –  at the Enchantment, kinda one dark and one light set and I chose to mix them for today’s post with the light eye shadow and the deep and dark shining lips.

Today I chose to use an inworld location, as iI wanted something like the first spring kiss, as I have enough of all the winter colds already and in Germany we got the first sunny days even if they still are not that warm 😉 At “Romantic Moods” they already changed from the winter season to a spring coming soon layout, which just was perfect for my idea for the pictures.

Play the Trumpet?

Today I am very happy to showcase another amazing design of Faster Pussycat, one of my favourite designers and a great friend of mine as well.

This time it will be the “Trumpet Jacket & Pants”

I always loved the designs of Faster Pussycat, as they are so amazing out of the box. Honey Bender, owner and Designer for Faster Pussycat, together with PoosyKat LittleBoots do both have a very special taste for fabrics and color, which I love a lot.

This time it is a neat combination of blue and gold with some amazing patterns on the pants and parts of the jacket. The texture and the shape or the jacket remind me of a past time uniform type – or those 19th century music corps style – and together with the modern pants hold by a simple rope that is put through huge framed holes, it makes a great contrast.

The neat accessories come from LeEnfant Terrible. She has such an amazing quality on her items and they are all so detailed that they were the perfect addition on the amazing detailed “Trumpet” outfit.

since the outfit had a more masculine feeling to it, I again wanted to go with a contrast on the hair style. I chose the “Jaily” style from EMO-tions. With the puffy curls and the loosely wisps, together with the amazing rose attachment it looked perfect for the idea I wanted to go for. The rose attachment brought me on the “Shippoa” choker from Mandala for the necklace.

For the makeup I again did a mix and match of Nuuna’s makeups… yes I am totally addicted to her bold make up ideas. To Nuuna’s always is kind of charter makeup, that can set strong statements to a certain look. With the busy and detailed outfit, I wanted to do more editorial looking pictures to not miss the details on the styling. I more and more love to experiment with editorial shoots and new angles that are not looking that common, so this picture session really was fun 😉

Exactly that happened to me with the “Tanya” outfit from Asteria.

The outfit contains the amazing top, high-waisted panties and the incredible gitternet skirt. The top is decorated with some delicate lace at the bottom and the panties can be worn with or without the skirt. It is available in many different colors, but since I am addicted to black, I certainly used the black option 🙂

With the golden metal studs on the skirt and the very cool collar with the long leather tassels, this outfit called for something additional golden to me and so I chose the “Emma’s Halo” head-piece from Enfant Terrible in gold.

The amazing long and elegant gloves I picked from the “Charlotte” outfit from GizzA.

The “Patch Mechanics” from .shi and the amazing “Rift Lip Paint” from Deche just made the finish of the look to me. The awesome boots are made by [MODA]. The come with a huge HUD, that lets you customize the boots in any way you think, so you can fit them to your outfit.

The amazing scenery I found at the wastelands. I loved the shape of the structure as it went so well with the shape of the headpiece and just gave the right ambience and feeling to what I wanted for my pictures.

Dance with a Fairytale

I know I had a lot of Unicorn posts lately, but I really do love the theme and the fairytale behind it. This month we have a lot of designs who point towards the novel and on of my favourites comes from Enfant Terrible.

She made a wonderful “Vintage Romance” set, wich is made for the 3 popular mesh bodes of Slink & Maitreya. The set is available in 4 different colors for the outfit and the shoes. Grey, Black, Ivory & Rose.

Maybe the best will be if I add the gacha key so you can see all the options :p

I totally fell in love, when I got the “Vintage Romance” set. First of all the unicorn theme, then the amazing vintage touch with the frills, ruffles and the amazing pastel colors. Last but not least as well the incredible details, which Enfant always puts on her designs.

The cute hairstyle with the amazing unicorn and the sweet twirled hair was made by Olive for the last round of the Enchantment. You are able to take off the front part with the horn but for this post it was just perfect like it is 😉

Since I rediscovered DARE poses again, I am really in love with them. They are so incredible dynamic, that they give a certain mood to so many different pictures. They always look, as if they would capture a single moment out of an animation, what makes them look very interesting and always out of the box. On the first view they sometimes look crazy but if you play around with the angles you can have the most amazing captures ever. Certainly it always depends on the subject and what you are going for, but for me DARE poses are perfectly for my pictures and art work and even a few sets are made for runway posing. Their slogan “Poses that will make you stand out” is a real true statement 😉 Soon I will do a nother body studies post with a bunch of newer poses as well 😉

Now I just had to find a location to shoot this wonderful outfit, together with the amazing poses. I remembered a collective of sims, which I saw when I was doing some sim hopping.

The Ippos Collective. A wonderful collective of 4 different fantasy looking sims, some of them even allow you to rezz a small prop or a poseball. Just make sure you pick it up after you are done, to make sure others can explore the sims and all their beauty as well 😉 Since it is a residential too you will find residents there as well. I guess respect is something that we all should have, to not intrude in their private sphere without their permission 😉

Spot on 2015! – Happy and Sad Moments

Today I was in a very special mood. We are in a time of the year, that we call ‘between the years’ in germany the last week of December and the first week of January. It is that time of the year where we think a lot about the past year and as well about the upcoming one. Many try to find New Year’s resolutions, or things they would change for the new year.

I quit doing that as usually those things never work out like they should and why I need a special time of the year, to change something or think about good resolutions?

Still it is kinda a weird and strange feeling time with all those surrounding you and asking you about all this. I solved it for me with writing down the most exciting and wonderful things that happened though the past year and as well the most sad moments. Not for a special reason and maybe just to look back some when and remember better what I did in 2015.

I never was a very religious person, but I believe in certain things and as well some that are not to grab with my both hands. I really believe that there is more between heaven and earth than we think of and care about. Life became so fast and sometimes we just do not see the little hints and things that show is about exactly that.

That mood brought me on my styling and picture idea for today. In the spotlight of being questioned about New Year’s solutions, being like a puppet to not make anyone mad by really voicing my opinion and surrounded by mystical things, little positive sparkles that will lead me over to the new year 😉

The 3 designers I would like to spotlight for today would be LeEnfant Terrible and Noke Yuitza and LeeZu. 2 of them are just 2 of all the wonderful moments, I was allowed to have for 2015 and one for one of  the sad moments.

LeEnfant I met a few years ago for the first time, but we kinda did not have the luck to get each other known better. But ‘you always meet 2 times’ is a quote, that we have in Germany. I am very grateful that I had the chance to meet such a wonderful person again and even more, to become friends with her. When I met her the first time, it was kinda just a designer/blogger relation ship and never anywhere near than what me and her share today. She became one of the dearest persons in my life. She is so creative, so strong and so unbelievable amazing, I really enjoy each moment we share and I hope that this will last a life time. I’m looking forward to even meet her in RL very soon and I can’t wait the day when I am allowed to hug her for real 🙂

She made that wonderful “Emma’s Halo” headpiece for the actual round of We <3 RP. The headpiece is available in gold and silver and it comes with 2 different colored veils and as well as a second option with filigree shining tear drops. I decided to use the tear drops, which shall stand for the sad moments of the past year. The incredible details and the very realistic details are just 2 skills that are trademarks for LeEnfant’s work. She puts a lot of time and effort in her designs and to me, she is one of the most talented designers with a unbelievabel amazing quality to her creations.

Speaking of talent and quality, brings me to the second name, that I was talking about – Noke Yuitza. She is such an artistic and awesome mind and she is one of the rare people, that seems to understand my sometimes weird mind and thoughts. The first time I discovered her as a designer was in one of the past years arts in hats. Back then it was the “Maleficent Great Wave Hat” she released for her former brand Alegria, that caught my attention and brought me to her store. I found so many amazing and artistic, creative things, all with a special twist, which I realized is her very personal trademark. Every single piece she makes you can tell it is her creation. The amazing textures, the very special and artistic designs and lately as well the 100% original mesh items, which are materials enabled most of the time.

For today’s post I decided to use the “Etheral Body” with the belonging scarf and the “Atlantis Ankle Boots” from Noke Yuitza, which she made for her new brand E.V.E Studio.

The body is available in 7 different colors and comes in 3 standard sizes. Each of them has a color matching scarf to it, but I decided to cross colors and used the black body with the red scarf.

The body has a high slit at the sides and the cool “Atlantis Ankle Boots” in chrome and red were the perfect match to underline the sexy and cool look of the body 😉

The high slit brings me to my 3rd designer for today – LeeZu.

LeeZu was my first employment in SL ever as a model. I remember so well, when I was desiring to work at LeeZu so bad and filled out the apply as store model. Weeks passed by and I already had forced myself to give up as I was very new to modeling and probably I would need more experience in that field, as Vixie Rayna IMed me and asked me for an appointment to talk. Vixie was one of the staff and managers at LeeZu and she was responsible for the store models. The talk was led by Barbara Nicholls and Vixie Rayna and when they told me I will be hired, I danced around like crazy and nearly could not believe. I was told to meet with GM Nikolaidis for my official store model picture and you can imagine how that felt for me… my first model job and then in one of the most popular and fantastic SL fashion store. That was back in January 2010 and since then I was a store model and some when I even got asked to be the store model manager, what was one of the most exciting moments in my SL life.

This year this great job sadly ended after 6 wonderful years. LeeZu closed the inworld store and only is available on Marketplace now, where you will find many of the amazing creations for 99 linden only! Believe it or not it was a very sad moment as the LeeZu family with all the wonderful people really became something very special to me and 6 years is a hell of a long time in SL where time flies by so fast… I will never forget that time and all the wonderful people, that became family for me – Thank you LeeZu, Barb, GM, Vixie and all the wonderful and crazy fellow models over the 6 years!

Today I am wearing the “Brigitte Body Tights” underneath the high slitted body of E.V.E Studio. LeeZu always was one of the most high quality stores for clothing and furniture. The texture work of LeeZu was so incredible great and detailed, I always admired her work and she was one of my idols when I started to make clothing myself. The body stocking shows how amazing and filigree LeeZu was working on her designs and the love for the details, for every little fold, wrinkle and light – simply stunning!

I do not know, if I can manage another blog post before the year is changing and so I would like to thank YOU all, for following my blog for the last year, for always showing me your support, for giving me blogger reviews and I wish you all the best for 2016 and hope to see you again for my new posts!

Finally I have time to do another post!

All the Christmas horror kept me away from all the blogging fun for way too long. But now a few days before Christmas I am nearly done with all the students concerts and kids musicals for this year – for thank god!

7 days to go and I finally will have holidays!

Today I would like to spotlight one of the latest releases from LeEnfant Terrible, owner and designer of Enfant Terrible and a wonderful friend.

The “L’odeur du cuir” what means ‘the smell of leather’ is a full set of amazing items all made of leather. A wonderful corset with a huge color HUD, the super cute bunny mask in black & white, the incredible necklace with the long leather straps down the cleavage, an elegant bracelet and a sweet leg band with tiny little accessories, every girl needs,  in black, white & pink.

The incredible details of this set, show the love for every little thing, that LeEnfant Terrible puts in all her designs. You can nearly feel the hours and days, that she must have spent on those designs. If you just take a look at the leg band – for today’s post I chose the black one – with the tiny little brush, the eyeliner, the amazing filigree chains and all those realistic looking creations… simply stunning!

The “L’odeur du cuir” set immediately brought me to a vintage mood, when I put it on the first time. I added a bra, we made for Wicca’s Wardrobe, wich will be released soon and a fishnet panty hose.

The puppet hanger I saw, when I was walking a show and a real good friend was wearing it so I had to have it! Thank you Xandrah for sharing where you got them from 😉

Last but not least I would like to drag your focus on the amazing sweet ankle boots made by Elysium.

The incredible “London Ankle Boots” from Elysium come with a HUD, to change the fur options on the top. With the amazing suede fabric and the filigree lines that end in such a sweet box at the upper side, those shoes are perfect for the actual season 🙂
