Araneus – Chapter 3
The day of the Coronation has arrived and Wicca stands in her bed chamber, staring blankly a the wall. Though dressed in her ceremonial gown, Wicca felt anything but regal. An hour away from the ceremony that would appoint Wicca Queen and the final piece of the Araneus was still missing. Without all three pieces – necklace, crown and earrings – Wicca cannot rule.
The earrings – the Balance of Justice – grants her the wisdom to treat all equally and without prejudice. Even with compassion and knowledge, what was a ruler without wisdom. Has she failed her people even before becoming their Queen?
A knock on her chamber door draws Wicca’s attention and she turns to see two filthy, haggard men being admitted into her chamber. Upon seeing their future Queen, each man drops to one knee and bows their head in homage. As Wicca draws near, she recognizes the pair as Royal Guard sent out to recover the last of the missing Araneus.
The men are caked from head to toe in muck and slime, their shoulders sag and their legs tremble from exhaustion. Had they even rested since ordered on their quest three days ago?
Fear grips Wicca as she approaches. She can only assume they failed in their quest and the last of the Araneus is forever lost. Only when Wicca stands before the men do the raise their weary heads to look her in the eye. With the last of their strength, each man lifts a arm and opens a clenched fist. There, on each of their palms, lies an Araneus earring.
Wicca drops to her knees before the exhausted guards, takes each of their outstretched hands in hers and presses them to her lips. The guards, embarrassed by their appearance, try to pull the filth-covered hands away, but Wicca refuses to relinquish her hold. It is not until her maids rush to her side does Wicca release the loyal guards.
In an attempt to escape capture, the last thief threw the earrings into a noxious bog when the guards were only yards behind and closing in quickly. Knowing the gravity of the situation, the guards discontinued their pursuit and searched the bog for days, without rest, until the earrings were recovered.
With the Araneus fully restored, Wicca can now be crowned Queen. She orders her maids to see the two guards bathed, fed and clothed before she is escorted to the Throne Room for her Coronation.
As each piece of the Araneus is placed on her, Wicca thinks of all the people within her Kingdom and vows to serve them until her dying day, with the same devotion they have shown her.
Long Live The Queen.

As lasers shoot at him from different directions, Sark drops to the floor with a shoulder roll. Finding temporary safety behind a stack of crates, Sark takes a moment to check the energy level on his laser rifle and mutters a silent curse. Ten percent reserves.

After a quick mental count, he knows there are two combatants near the hanger door and one hiding behind a steel pole near the only other exit. Three targets and only enough energy left to take out one, if he is lucky.

In the sudden eerie quiet, Sark can hear them moving in to flank him on three sides. In less than a minute, he will be surrounded. This is going to get ugly.

Without warning, Sark bolts away from his sanctuary and runs straight at the biggest of the three. In his peripheral vision, he sees the other two – one to his right, one to his left – raise their weapons and take aim.

Just before they fire, Sark drops to the floor and slides on his back as he fires at the monster in his path. The giant in front of him drops instantly while the other two take each other out in the crossfire.

A nearly blinding red light flashes as a deafening klaxon announces the end of the game. CONGRATULATIONS SARK! LEVEL 38 WINNER!

Billy jumps up from his desk chair and pumps a fist into the air. Eat my dust, Tommy Jefferies, he shouts.

The powerful engine roars to life and I smile. Do not judge me by my appearance. I may look like a Victorian lady, but deep down, I am a wild creature ready to explore this new steam powered, mechanized world…

Wearing my brother’s clothing, I leave my heavy dresses and tight corsets behind. My parents want to marry me off to some titled aristocrat, but that existence would suffocate me.

I give my mean machine gas and shoot out of the driveway; gravel spraying wildly behind me. A laugh of pure joy and the exhilaration of freedom rips through my body. Yes, this is the life!

What does a girl need a man for when she has a motorcycle vibrating between her legs…

Rory stands quietly in the middle of the room; a pensive look on her face. She takes no notice of the attendants who dress her. With each piece added, the weight of the situation grows heavier upon her shoulders. Her kingdom was in danger.

Once the crown was placed upon her head, Rory could wait no longer. With profound sorrow, Rory walked slowly to the open balcony attached to the chamber. From there, she could look down upon the open fields outside the city walls.

The great army, thousand and thousands or warriors, stood in perfect lines. When Rory came into view a single voice shouted a command. In perfect unison, the soldiers dropped to one knee and bowed their heads. At the head was General Kru, their leader. And her lover.

His head lifted and Rory felt his heated gaze upon her, even at the great distance. Rory knew it was the same scorching look he wore before Kru took her in his arms last night. He was gone from her bed before she woke that morning. There were no words of farewell or love, They both knew their duty and what the future held.
A single tear slipped from the corner of her eye as Queen Rory raised her sword high above her head. The command was given. Her kingdom was at war.

As the mist rolls across the land, a beautiful woman stands at the edge of the cliff, her silk dress swaying with the gentle wind. The Kingdom below innocently sleeps, unaware of her visit.

At first her laughter is soft and melodic. As her form shifts and distorts, so does her voice. A deep rumble emerges with malevolence as the creature morphs back into his true form, the leather vest straining against his muscular chest.

Loki crouches down on the outcropping of rocks and awaits the havoc that will come with the dawn. His lips curl with evil glee as his eyes glow red with anticipation .

The latest style-blending fashion by Wicca’s Originals is the Lena Top. Drawing inspiration from renaissance blouses and corsets, the Lena Top puts a modern spin on it by trimming the traditional cut down to a crop top. The two-part top incorporates a flattering, low, horizontal cut short sleeved blouse with a short, under-bust corset to lift the bust and create a tantalizing shelf of feminine flesh. The cleavage is teased with the inclusion of a mini-harness, which binds a choker vertically to a strap worn around the waist, hinting at one’s darker desires for power play. The Ranger Boots are the practical option for if you’re going to be working around twisted metal or broken glass, or maybe just don’t want to get bitten by snakes.
