For a Valentine Special 2012, monica Outlander, owner and designer of Miamai, made some of her actual creations in a wonderful red color. For today I would like to look at the “Demi” gown.
This stunning dress could be the right decision for your Valentine’s evening. The long dress falls awesome to the ground with its flexi skirt prims. The front has a deep neckline and just 2 small lines over the shoulders that hold the top in place. The backside definitely is an eye catcher. The super deep neckline shows a lot of skin and the jewelry that sits right on the bottom of the neckline holds a few very filigree feathers. The jewelry part is repeated in the front at the neckline bottom as well. The gown as well has a very elegant look with all the awesome textures, combined with the feathers and gems. So a perfect combination of sexy and elegant for a special day 🙂 “Demi” for me is one possibility for a perfect Valentine’s gown, what will be a great surprise for your partner for your Valentine’s date 🙂

Today I met Kyra Camel, owner and designer of Baboom. After a short time we discovered that we both are germans and we had to laugh about as the conversation started in english and it was to notice that none of us had english as her native language 🙂 We were talking a while and she gave me a few outfits to blog. I was amazed as she told me that she – like me – never learned Photoshop, she taught her all by herself what she needed. And I took a closer look at her textures and really was amazed. While I was trying her outfits and we were talking she suddenly dressed in a wonderful red gown telling me that this would be her group gift. I looked at her closer and asked her if she was kidding… but she said “No, the whole gown is my gift for all my group members”… and I immediately asked her for the gift to blog it. On November 4, 2008 Proposition 8 passed in California, amending the state Constitution to ban same-sex marriage. The defeat provoked a groundswell of initiative within the GLBT community.

The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska (http://www.bouska.net) and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by the prop8 and with the words “NOH8” painted on their cheeks in protest.

Nearly two years since its inception, the NOH8 Campaign has grown to over 5,500 faces and continues to grow at an exponential rate expanding its reach. A humble effort to strengthen the voices and fight for the rights of those who are victims of mere prejudice.
