Having a Break

LeLUTKA did it! They already have released 2 waves of their updated Evolution line heads. The new 3.1 version was released already for Lilly, Ryn, Fleur, Nuri, Lake, Nova and Erin – which I chose for today’s post. Before Avalon came out, Erin was my everyday favorite head and you can imagine how excited I was when I saw Erin got the update – I certainly had to try that one out first! I promise I will showcase them one after another step by step 😉

So what is new to the 3.1 updates… lemme quote LeLUTKA’s press release:

HUD:

– Evolution Classic heads have now been updated to 3.1.

– You can now find EVO and EVO X toggle buttons across all heads.

– Option to blend or mask lashes have now been updated.

– Save slots have been removed for Eye Socket, Lashes, HD Brows, HD Eyelids, and HD Lips as we now have a Style HUD.

– We now have a total of 18 eyes, an additional 6 have been added.

– We now have a total of 6 eyebrows, an additional 2 have been added.

– We now have a total of 8 eye shadows, an additional 2 have been added.

– Alpha Mode has been added to the lip area, when you use the Mask option, you will be able to manipulate how much of your lipstick with show.

– Layer Materials (None) HD Complex has been added under settings, includes HD Brows, 2 HD eye shadow layers, Lashes, Eye Sockets and HD lips

– Clicking these buttons will remove materials from matching layers, removing materials will eliminate Hair/Head alpha interaction (if hair has materials enabled), leaving your Head layers, alpha clipping free. This means the glossiness of any of these layers will be removed.

Scripts:

– Scripts have been polished to reduce lag and make the HUD and heads operate smoother and respond faster.

There will be updates for all the Evolution Line heads – female and male. They as well will release a new male EvoX head soon and all the male Evolution heads will get a pretty polished update then too 🙂

“Sometimes I’m feeling like an Alien…” true words, which apply to my SL as well as to my RL!

It is amazing how SL and RL can be different sometimes and so alike on the other hand. I always was more of an outsider, as I never was able to walk with the mainstream… not SL and nor RL either. I always had my own thoughts and they never fit into a “normal” frame of view it seems. I always avoided the “either black or white” decisions and tried to find my own way through many moments and situations.

Maybe it is the little rebel inside of me that always questions, if there is only black and white and why I would have to decide. What if the truth is somewhere between black and white… what about all those shades of gray – there are so many!

Plus I always had a problem with the phrase “it is, what it is” or “because we always did it like that” – I mean if I did it myself and then come to the conclusion it is – fine! But what, if I do it and come to a different opinion? I would have missed that if I just went with what I was told. There were situations, which were not nice and maybe I should have skipped them by just believing what I was told, but on the other hand I would have not experienced other wonderful things either. I have no clue if I make any sense but I do prefer to make my own experiences and go my own ways even of they might need more time or be a little more gravelly.

So much for that and now lets take a closer look on todays pictures. I visited the CyberPunk Fair from Flair for Events again and found some more neat goodies 😉

I am a cyberpunk addicted, that isn’t a secret anymore and so events like the CyberPunk Fair are like heaven for me. As you can see in the credits below, I picked up quite some new designs there like for example that wonderful mask made by PSYCHO:Byts. The mask comes with a HUD that holds amazing possibilities for the front textures a well as for many different color options – definitely a must have for me! The cool bodysuit as well you will find at the event, made by AURORA. You can change the lights and textures via a HUD too and so it will match to all kind of styles and colors. What caught my attention was the cool neck/head tattoo from Tristan Flinders, which comes with the option of materials as well.

Certainly I had to pair all the new goodies with some of my all time favorites like the cool body tattoo from Nefekalum Tattoos, which as well comes with amazing materials and in many different colors.

And in the end I fell totally in love with that little “Alien Monkey” from Black Cat Creations. You will find that on the CyberPunk Fair, but as well at the main store. This little, awesome pet comes in different colors (HUD), if you decide for the fatpack and has a wonderful pose for each of them including a mirrored version – so 5 poses plus their mirrors… 10 in total!

I still have the feeling that wasn’t my last post for the CyberPunk Fair as I already spied “a few” more things that caught my attention *giggles*

I had a very rough few days, thinking about friendship and about the fact that you think you know people and then you get badly disappointed to find out… you were completely wrong by thinking you knew someone.

It is not the first time that I had to find out about the true colors of someone, who called me “friend” for a longer time. Every time when that happened, I told myself to not trust people anymore – especially not in a virtual environment, where it is even more easy to trick people about your identity and character.

For what ever reason, I go against my own guts again and again, when I meet new people. I always try to force myself to not trust them right away or maybe do not trust them at all even. But you know how that goes, if you are an emotional and true person, there will be a point after some time, where you feel something for someone and just can’t hold the protective wall, which you built around you, up any longer and again you fall for something you call friendship after a while. In good times, all will go fine and you think you got to know someone, even if he or she lives all across the world on the other half of the globe. And many times it really is like that, but you again and again will face the fact, that there is rotten tomatoes between all the good red ones. Usually they are well hidden and so it takes a while until they are seeing the sunlight. If they do it mostly hurts. In the past even more than today, as with getting older you experience that more often certainly, even if you never will get used to it.

If I think about closely, the situations where it turned out good, feel even stronger. I don’t want miss the friendship to a hand full of people I met in Second Life over the years – some of them I even call family by now and they most likely or better hopefully never would turn 180° on me. What if I would have gone with my “no trust” policy strictly? I never would have met those I truly care for and think about, even if I am not in Second Life. I would have missed those who I can trust and who trust me and all the wonderful times we shared together. So I guess I will be hurt again in the future, as I am not willing to give up on trusting people in general… I do not want to miss out on those, which possibly could become amazing wonderful friends over the time. Some probably would call me stupid for that, I would call it human I guess 😉

I do not know how that happened but when I was ready dressed, ,I instantly got a Clockwork Orange feeling. I do love that movie, but didn’t see it for along time. So when I sat down and started to post work those pictures I had to watch it again to get the right feeling for it *grins* That ideas obviously was the reason why I added the bloody bat to my look and put myself in that grunge backyard. I started with the super cool “Nova Overalls” outfit from AsteroidBox, when I realized that they as well do have new shoes that completely fit to that outfit. While I was playing with the huge HUD and all its possibilities (maaany different textures and as well you can hide the shirt!) I discovered the striped version and remembered, that I had gloves that had a stripe option as well from {PSYCHO:Byts}. Certainly I needed some finger bandages as well to get the cool side of the “droogies” look. While I was looking through my L’Emporio Folder for those finger bandages, I saw that they had so cool new releases as well and the hat totally fit into my look – the cool collar as well! If I had planned to mix and match so many of my favorite designers I never would have made it, but this time it fell into place so easily… I have no clue how that happened, but I love it!

As soon as I put on that mega amazing veil from Nefekalum Tattoos (yes – it really is a tattoo with materials!) I did know I have to find those sharp kinda trademark lashes, which Alex had on just one eye in the movie – I found that at Shiny Stuffs. sadly I could not apply it just to one eye, like it originally was on the left eye only.

It didn’t happen for a long time that the imagination for a picture or story came so fast to my mind, after putting on just the first 2 or 3 items and I really enjoyed my journey in the past with that movie again. I have to say it again seemed very up-to-date to our times at the moment if you get the essence of that movie – that felt kinda scary, but I do believe in the human race to not make the future as dark again as it was in the past!

Finally Friday – Hooray!

Today I would love to show you some of the mega, amazing designs released at Mainframe and Midnight Order!

Lets start with Mainframe, a cyberpunk, sci-fi orientated event, which had it’s debut last year already. With it’s great success it opened its doors again now in January!

What caught my eyes immediately, was one of the amazing release from Lanevo. This huge pack piece called “Maneater Machine” is just perfect for any cyborg, sci-fi or future orientated look, which steps away from basic human looks only. You can imagine an alien having technical tentacles, or a cyborg with super cool, multiple arms added on its back – it definitely does set a statement!

The “Cyber Pulse” gloves from L’Emporio&PL could even hold the control panel for that cool back piece at the lower arm where you can see all those cables and technical parts. The gloves are super detailed and certainly they are bento enabled. If you style for a sci-fi look you cannot miss Graves. Jackie is one of the best leather and latex designers I know and with her fantastic ideas and skills she brings us only the best for years now. The bodysuit is BoM and with that the perfect base for any cyber look! Another incredible store is Butanik83. I discovered them last year on the first Mainframe events and since then I always have an eye on their releases. Their designs are incredibly detailed and textured – very realistic!

What I will use for one of my next posts a well, as the pictures today do not really give a good showcase for it is the kick ass waist part – a metal spine replacement part, with a rough and basic look to it gives an amazing vibe for any android, gynoid or cyber avatar.

The boots with the awesome spikes at the front come from {PSYCHO:Byts} and were released at the Midnight Order event. With the cool spikes at the front and the tight straps at the thigh, they make a perfect addition to any kind of cool and smart looks.

Hide from the World Outside…

I see the chaos that’s calling me
So the wind blows wherever it will go

Lockdown, lockdown light, back to normal, all open , all closed… This pandemic really becomes a huge mess as no one dares to make decisions anymore. I am not one of those denying that the pandemic exists, I am not one of those who tries to cheat and avoid masks and I see the danger of that virus very clear – I lost people to damn Covid already. What makes me crazy is the way how our government handles certain things. Why conferences, which debate about school rules and changes, have to be on a Sunday (and being alive already on Monday – the next day), when parents need to be informed and need plans to take care of their children on Monday? Why kids may play soccer on the school yard but in the afternoon the clubs for free time activities (as well soccer) are closed? Why kids must sit shoulder on shoulder in school with a mask, while they are not allowed to play with more than one certain friend in the afternoons? More and more doctors speak up saying that it is the kids that transport the virus without having any symptoms and our minister of education still preaches “Kindergartens and schools have to stay open!” I can see that there is a need of having a place where kids can go, if their parents have systemically important jobs or if the only have one parent that takes care of them – but why keeping schools open like mad while it is more and more clear that a huge part of the spreading happens through the classes where 26 and more people share one room the whole morning from 8am to 2 pm? This lockdown “light” crap destroys more than it helps as the number still go up and more and more small stores, theaters, cinemas, bands, musicians and bars/restaurants cannot even plan when it will have an end. A harsh 3 or 4 weeks lockdown might have been better and we know since September (school started over here by then) that we are running into that problem, because number started to go up when school started after summer and autumn came… it just starts feeling idiotic and despotic at the moment. It only feels like reaction to whats happening, but not anymore like intelligent action.

I as well could vomit when I see people going out on the streets wearing no masks and denying the pandemic would exist… did we not have enough death, not enough suffering and loosing people we loved? They claim they go out on the street for their rights – what about the right of  those who want to be protected, those who wear masks and follow given rules to get this pandemic stemmed? While they shout on the streets, people who care and try to protect themselves as much as they can, are forced to pass that crowd of people without masks. Recently they even started to use kids for their idiotic speeches making them say they would feel like Sophie Scholl or Anne Frank – I was so shocked when I heard that and my first thought was, what people would think who had to go through the cruel time of that times… for me an inexcusable affront to all those people!

All of that went trhough my mind when I was setting up the “Neclected Bedroom” from DRD. The idea of a messy bedroom, which you can hide from the world and read some books that even help with that – dive in a fantasy world and just forget all that madness out there and if you are lucky you have a little company from your kitty or the pet you chose for your life 😉 The kick ass cool boots I recently found at L’Emporio and could not pass them without getting my pair :p .
