Lazy afternoon at the Record Store

When I got the amazing record store from 22769, I immediately wanted to do a music listening inspired picture as I totally wanted to showcase this amazing set.

It is a gacha with 18 items including the rare. On top there was the special exclusive for the Epiphany, which is the actual record store building, which I did not use for this post as I always have trouble with lightnings in closed rooms :p (Not to mention, that I found out AFTER the pictures were done, that I can seperate the front and roof and just remove them for better light settings… DOH)

So I needed an outfit that was appropriate for a record store… something cool and urban probably would match the best.

The perfect base for that kind of look seemed the “Gymnastic Suit” from PurpleMoon. Again Poulet Koenkamp – designer of PurpleMoon – amazes me with her texturing. all those different patterns and fabrics on one outfit and the amazing cut outs paired with the upper body harness are simply stunning!

The cool jacket I found at Sabotage and since I anyways have a weakness for oversized clothing , I totally had to have it :p

Since I saw a lot of this new trend of pimping urban sporty wear in RL lately I added the “Nemesia” ankle boots from Glamistry. They added the elegant touch to the whole style that kinda pimped it the way I wanted it to 😉

When I was looking through my hair, it was kinda fate I guess, that I found the “Rhythm” hair from Doe. I know I got it from an event as I thought it would fit super cool to something I was planning on a while ago and certainly.. I forgot about it until today*giggles*

With the super cool earphones attached to it, it was the perfect hairstyle for my lazy record store day!

Today kinda was a challenge for me as I am not very familiar with the more sporty looking styles, but the more I tried stiff the more I really started to like it. So I probably will explore that kind of look more in the future 😉 Maybe some when I am allowed to play with the cool kids then*snickers*

The styling today I made with some goodies of the WCF 2017. The fair is now over but I am sure, you will find all the creations and designs in the mainstores of the designers 🙂

Sometimes you plan on blogging something and then all of a sudden you RL comes in between and disturbs that plans.

But I loved the look too much to just trash it and go on with all the new stuffs 😉

The outfit is a mix and match of several designers and as well of mesh designs and appliers.

The cool top, that mainly is made of chains with some cloth at the sides was made by [sys] as an exclusive for the WCF 2017. Since I wanted to cover up my private parts a little bit, I added the “Sexy Lingerie” from Cherie underneath the “Shane” top.

The hair as well was made as an exclusive to the WCF 2017 and it does  come from no.match. At the moment I have kinda a top 3 for hair designers and I could not say which one of those I love most , since they are all do different. No.match, EMO-tions and enVOGUE I use the most as I just simply love their ideas and textures the most. Certainly I have hair from all over as there are hairstyles I see and like instantly like DeLa, .shi or so many others but when I pull up my hair folder those 3 have the highest numbers for a reason 😉

For the WCF 2017, no.match made 2 different version with a hat. one as a braid and one – the one I am using today – with open hair. One has the cap set on forward and the other one has it 180 degrees turned like the cool kids usually have it :p

The cool gloves were made by Real Evil Industries and I really love the details as well as the huge HUD that does let you customize so many parts to match your outfit.

The tattoo certainly comes from White Widow. I just love Julie’s tattoos and I rarely find good ones which do not get blurry or are way to colored or just uploaded RL tattoos. I do love the creativity and as well the painting skills that Julie brings to her tattoos and I am totally amazed that this creativity seems to be never ending 😉

Seductive Chic in a Spring Mood

Spring is coming! – At least it looked like yesterday even if the wind was horrible again today :p

To my todays feeling the “Plaisir” dress from [sys] just was the right match. The short dress with the high open, loosely collar and the seductive open back… perfect for the first few warm sun moments.

The huge cutout in the back really makes the “Plaisir” dress mega special. Only the thick brown leather strap hold the whole dress in place 😉 And look how deep the cut out is… you really have to be careful with your moves… 😉

I chose to wear some leggings under the dress and I know I had blogged those already before, but I really do love them a lot. The “Hisa Leather Leggings” from lassitude & ennui. I was so amazed when I put them on the first time, that appliers can look so realistic and actually do look like a mesh item while they are appliers ‘only’. All those shadows and lights , the folds and wrinkles, they are so realistic I really had to cam close to see that they are really flat on the body… incredible!

The super chic glasses are made by Glamistry and just were the perfect accessory for the look to give it an even more chic look. The “PU2003” sunglasses have a cat-eye feeling to them as well as a soft vintage touch, this kind of shape is my personal fave anyways 😉 It does remind me of those 50s pin-up glasses a little bit.

I really enjoyed the sim a lot after I was doing my shoots. I never was at Anduril before, but I am sure I was not there the last time. they have so many different corners there and all are built with so much love to the detail, it was hard to choose one for the pictures already when I arrived there and looked around. Sometimes it is really worth it to jump through the search to find a new sim, or even look into the destination guide of SL, instead of just using the ones you already know very well. It can be time-consuming, but you can find some neat places out there.

I hope you could feel some of my spring feelings for that post 😉

Fame with Roses & Chains

I have no clue how I came on the idea for this pictures… but it was fun :p

I know I saw that roses at Skye’s place when we did a shooting and remembered I got those too. When I saw them again, I so wanted to do something with them and when I unpacked a few boxes I found the perfect dress and all of a sudden everything fell together 😉

But lets start from the beginning…

This time it was not an outfit that started the whole idea, it really was a set I was playing around with. I started with the “DYSTOPIA Chained Roses” from E.V.E Studio. I found so many parts in the folders… different roses with chains, standalone petals and as well several colors… I decided to go with the bronze ones as I loved the red touch paired with either a golden or a black chain. While I was playing around with arranging the roses I came across the “Splashing Droplets” in gold, which just matched the “Chained Roses” perfectly.

 When I unpacked the “FAME” dress from [sys]which you can find at the actual round of The Liaison Collaborative and saw the chains at the high cut on the left side… I did know that was the right dress for that picture 😉

The dress is a very simple one BUT with great asymmetric details. The left arm is covered by a long sleeve while the right arm is totally bare. The left side has a high slit which is decorated with many rows of chains.

Another great detail I would love to focus as well. The amazing rings and hand bands from Formanails. Formanails does the most incredible hand jewelry and nails I ever saw. Most of the designs are made for either Maitreya or Slink Casual or Slink Formal hands.

Overall the whole scenery with the looks and the set looked weird and cool the same time to me so I just had fun to take some pics and see what comes out 😉 It was a new feeling to me, to style according to a set instead of the other way round *giggles*. It was a great experience and as well some kind of a new challenge for me, maybe I should do that more often 😉

Enoying my first few days of my Vacation with [sys] ;)

Finally my summer holidays are here – YEAH! Yes, teachers desire vacation as much as students *grins*

6 weeks of mot getting up to early and living my true nature as a night owl again :p

It really does feel nice, if you actually can spend time and just roam around instead of just having 2 to 3 hours to create and work in SecondLife. First I started to unpack a lot of boxes, which came too short over the past few weeks because of the final exams at school and all the events that come for the end of year of school.  My first box already had something very cool in it… the new “Ride” outfit from [sys]. The whole outfit contains a bra, shirt, shorts and a wrapped shirt around your waist. There are different color combinations available but each one comes with a HUD to customize it a little more. You get 2 options per HUD for each part.

While I was opening all those boxes that got to me over the last couple of weeks I found one goodie after another, what means, there will be a lot of posts over the next few days o guess ;). Another amazing item, which perfectly matched the “Ride” outfit from [sys.], was the “Equals” tattoo from White Widow. That awesome art piece covers the arms all the way down with flowers in wonderful shadings. Now certainly I needed some cool glasses, which I found at Haysuriza – A place I really love to go if I need some cool, more urban casual looking glasses ;).

The totally awesome hair I am using, certainly comes from one of my favourite hair designers in SL… EMO-tions 😉 The “Bernadette” hair does have the perfect touch of smart, urban and casual as well as a lightly rebel look, that I love so much for my more private and urban looking looks 🙂 And now for the jewelry… I know Pris will kill me again – like she always does if I am wearing something “old” that might be not any longer available – but old does not automatically mean bad in my opinion. Sometimes, designs, creations or items do never get old. The look and the skills used to handcrafted them can make them long time goodies. Certainly sometimes weird moving flexies from 2008 might appear old but as well if you take a look at the nowadays designers who use flexible prims again to mix them with new mesh creations… they change in their look and as well improved in their movements. Sometimes it has even a huge plus and adds some kind of uniqueness if you use some of your long time favorites, as they just might add the little extra on your look. Don’t get me wrong I am not saying keep all your old items… but sometimes a few are worth it 😉

Saying that, my jewelry for today comes from YS&YS and has quite some years on it’s back in my inventory 😉 The “NEW Silver” set with a part flexible earing and the wonderful necklace just made the perfect addition for the look.

In the end I really do believe in a good mixture of new and older items to finalize a look. sometimes those old items even bring back some great memories to a show yu walked, a shooting you had or even from who you got them. With all our run on new releases, do not forget about some things, that might appear old on the first view.. on a second view they can quiet be nice *winks*

LOTD 07/29/2016 – Lazy Afternoon

Today I have again a post that fell together just by trying things 😉

Sometimes that is the best way to create looks – unplanned looks I just love it :p

First I put on the “Sensa Tank Dress” and immediately fell in love with those huge buckle in the back and the amazing counter parts at the front. Usually this is meant to be a dress but I could not resist to play with it to see what I can come up with :p

After I tried various pants, shorts and skirts, I got stuck on the “Hunter Pants” from Pixicat. With the laced sides and the great sand color, they looked perfect to the “Sensa Tank Dress”. With the pants and the top the whole look took a more heavy casual look and so I added one of my favourite shoes to the outfit – the “Triumph Boots” from [GOS].

 The cool arm straps are part of the “In Flames” outfit from Asteria. With the huge buckles they matches so nice to the top with the buckle in the back 😉

Since I am really a short hair cut lover I could not pass the “No.Meaning” hairstyle of the actual round of On9 (July.. today is the last day you can find it there I guess) made by no.match.

Now I needed a location to shoot. With this look I felt, that a inworld location would look better than an editorial shot in my studio. My first way lead me to one of the amazing Neva sims. I am sure you all know about those as they are the most awesome sims for photo shoots 😉 If not you really should make your way to one of them. This time it was the Neva River Village. A wonderful sim with a lot of water, bridges and paths and a wonderful urban but modern and trendy look. I love the colors and tones and how everything works together so well for all of the Neva sims anyways what theme they have.
