Casual Chic with Asia Rae

Lately Asia Rae surprises us with more and more amazing new releases.

Today I would like to drag the spotlight on the “Roxane Dress”. A simple, but amazing detailed textured, short dress.

Dresses like the “Roxane Dress” are a very important asset in a wardrobe in my view, as it gives the possibility to use them for so many different looks. You can drag it from a simple casual, over an exciting casual chic up to a wonderful seductive elegant look.

It only depends on the accessories, how you wanna make this awesome chameleon look like 😉

Today, I wanted to go for some casual chic, with a light touch of elegance. The idea came, when Alexavion, a very dear friend, that I know for years, dragged me to the St. Pete City sim to shoot the pics for the Womanstuff hunt gifts lookbook pictures. I never saw this amazing sim before. It was designed and built by Neva Crystall, the owner of Neva Estates. Her sims are one of the most amazing places to live and wander around. she puts so much love to the detail for her places… it is unbelievable awesome 🙂

For the shoes I chose something converse. Probably this style would have called for pumps or stilettos, at least some high heels, but that would not be me. As long as I have my little styling freedom, I always will put my personal twist on it, if not requested differently for a runway or print job for example.

I chose the “Montana Boots” from Wicca’s Wardrobe. They can be used for elegant and casual purposes, even for some fantasy or RP depending on the color you use 😉 I liked to wear them to the “Roxane Dress” as they as well have so many different style possibilities.

To accessorize the whole look, I chose a jewelry set from Meva. The “Spiral Spheres” in gold. The amazing necklace, together with the ring, made the perfect addition to combine the controversy of the dress and the boots. In my view, it is a strong and bold set, that shows character and combines the casual and the chic.

I wanted to have a huge hat, I really do like the big hats as they add a lot of chic and elegance to looks for me, sometimes even something mystical. With hats you usually run into trouble finding hair, where the hair is not poking through. so the easiest way is to find a hair that comes with a hair or was made for hat. I found my today’s hair at ICONIC. The “Boss” hair comes as hair with hat and a HUD to choose for several colors. If I remember correctly, I found it on one of the On9 rounds, but I am sure it should be available in the main store now.

In many of the fashion cities you can find people who mix and match lingerie with normal urban casual, to create this new and modern look.

It was quite fun to experiment with lingerie and make something that can bw worn on the street 😉

LOTD 02/02/2016 – Clubbing

A few days ago, I was fooling around with my inventory. I did not sort it for a longer time and was unpacking boxes and sorting in some stuff.

All of a sudden I came across the “Plume” jacket from E-Clipse. I got that at the last On9 event. I was looking at it and already got some very different ideas for it. But then I kept sorting stuff, tried different boxes back and forth and got distracted again from my original ideas.

One box  said “Bay High-Waist” pants from [R3]. Knowing R3volt, it must be super cool looking pants, even if I did not remember yet, what they looked like or when I got them*hides*

I unpacked the box and put them on and… bingo! They looked perfect and put a totally different look on the jacket than i was originally going for. But sometimes you just have to listen to your guts and I decided to go by them for today’s look.

The “Vertigo” boots from [sys] were the perfect addition to the look. The smart flat boots with the open laces totally caught the mood I was going for.  With a little bit of tweaking work, the shoes even did fit over the mesh pants what is really rare these days. As well from [sys], are the sunglasses is used for this post. The “Monaco” sunglasses come with a HUD to customize them to your needs and with the light retro feeling they rocked the look.

Last but not least, to get the real clubbing feeling I put on the “Miwa” headphones made my Wicca’s Wardrobe. The cool headphones with the skulls and spine bones are the perfect accessory for every clubbing night or even for DJs for their work 😉 With a huge HUD you can customize the colors in every single part.

After a busy and wonderful fashion weekend, today I would like to showcase one of my favourite designers in SL.

The amazing [sys] sisters again made a fashion statement with the absoulte fabulous “Sully” ensemble. The huge and wide overcoat in beige and the waist high and wide pants in grey, are available in a standart fitmesh size and as well for all the popular mesh bodies.

To complete my urban look I added the “Pointed Booties” made by Garbaggio and the “Eyewear Fox No.2” from HAYSURIZA.

Again I have the pleasure to showcase one fo Asia Rae’s latest news. The “Nubuk Jumpsuit” is available in different colors and amazing piece for your everyday wardrobe. It is not too tight so it gives a comfortable feeling but as well it is not wide enough to look like a sack… so perfect in between. With the open front a the top it gets a loosely and smart look. The overall has rolled up arms and legs, so that you even can wear boots with it. Like the “Lucille” boots from Hoorenbeek.

For the scarf I took one of my long time favorites from  +grasp+. I wanted kinda a touch of a dock working person, even if in a not as dirty look*giggles*, maybe I just arrived and the pics were made before I started working 😉

The hair comes from Entwined and the wonderful tattoo certainly from White Widow.

It was a lot of fun to fool around at the docks and get some shots done 🙂

LOTD 09/26/2015 – Back in Black with Devilish Poses

Yes, I cannot deny it… I love black…

I was standing on my platform after finishing all my daily work and started to dig into my inventory to sort some stuff and trash some of the older things I never will wear again… like… hair from 2009 and shoes from 2011 with weird bare feet and funny toes*giggles*

Then you sometimes come across boxes… that you never opened, but certainly you had to buy them…

Now the fun starts. Unpacking and again making the inventory looking like a hot mess 😉

But the good thing is you usually find some hidden treasure you do not even remember, that you bought them.

So it was with the “Luminea” headpiece from Black Pearls. I got it at the Fantasy Collective a few month ago and totally forgot about it… like ever so often…

 The “Luminea” headpiece is one of those accessories that sneaked right into my heart. The amazing leather straps across the face the sweet chains that hold it together on the top and the huge fins that give the whole piece an abstract and fantasy touch.

Inspired by the headpiece I thought of a basic black look to let the headpiece stick out even more. I kept opening boxes and got one surprise after another…

That will be a few more posts in the future I guess *giggles*

The next part what fell in my hands was the “Biker Chest” from May’s Soul. I just used the collar part and skipped the shoulder pads for this post, that belong to the whole pack. With the long leather fringes it definitely made an interesting accessory.

Now the difficulties began… since I am not a friend of being naked without a reason for styling posts, I had to find pants and a top that fits under that great collar. Pants was realtivly easy as I love my leather leggings from Maitreya. For the shoes I decided to go with the “Bella Heels” from KC for the slink high mesh feet. The shoes come with a HUD, that lets you choose from different colors for the metals and the shoe.

Now I still needed a top or a jacket that does not interfere with the long fringes of the collar. I guess, I tried about 20 before I came across the “Leather Asymetrical Jacket” from ISON.

 It matched perfectly to the while look and added a slightly elegant touch to it 🙂

Last but not least I chose something for my hands to break the black. The “Ringblume” hand accessories from FORMANAILS.

Now before I am done for today, I would like to drag your focus on the poses I used today. The poses are all made of Linda Reddevil. She recently opened her store Devilish Poses and makes some amazing runway poses. They are somewhat special and a little bot more out of the box that usual. I like them very much as they totally go along with my feeling for modern and fresh posing 😉

After all the looks is kinda modern, elegant and dark abstract… exactly what I like 😉

I was allowed to walk along with the Scala Grad Students!

Last weekend I had the great pleasure to walk the Graduation Show of the last Scala Academy batch, side by side with the grad students! It was so much fun and I kinda missed my good old student days 😉

Since I got some of the students to know during the last batch of the academy, I did know I really have to watch my stylings, since we really had some very promising stylists! That does not mean I would not watch my stylings usually too but it is a very different feeling to walk along with the models that you taught about styling and other things before.

Plus, I know how obsessed Seashell is with poses and since we all had to be checked by her too… that was quite a challenge 😉

The sponsor for this graduation show was Shey. A wonderful brand with so many different styles. All of us got 3 outfits, which we had to style for the show.

Mine was all very different and so I tried to do justice to each of them 🙂

 My first assigned run was the “Aukje” outfit. The outfit comes as a complete outfit including top, skirt, belt and pants. When I put it on it immediately screamed “rock!” to me. The short skirt with that open vest seriously needs to be styled urban and kick ass for me 😉 So I wanted to have a cool necklace but nothing elegant and sophisticated, more something loose and cool looking. I decided to go with the “Legendary” necklace from Mandala. The huge necklace made me kinda skip on the earrings but I did not wanna go with bare ears either. Solution: The special mesh ears from Mandala with the piercings and tunnels on it!

I am addicted to tattoos and I know many do not really like them on the runway. I had requested permission to do so for that very particular style since it kinda screamed for a tattoo 😉

The tattoo is from my favourite tattoo maker, Julie Hastings, owner and designer of [White~Widow]. The super cool makeup is a combination of Nuuna’s And Zibska, that I added over each other.

It still looked as if it would miss something and I started to experiment with my hair. I tried a lot of different hair and none would satisfy me for the look as I came across the idea of a hat. The extravagant “Dali” hat from [sys]. The hat has an open back, which allows you to have hair that goes a little higher that usually for hats.

My second outfit was more classy chic and when I tried it the first time, I did know I had to put my personal twist on it 😉

The “Mira” outfit comes with a blouse and skirt. The top is a kinda overlapping style and with its asymmetric shape and the high open front it has a definitely sexy touch.

The skirt with its asymmetric shape and the amazing ornamented belt gave room for a little bit of crazy ness and I decided to try the “Gorgo Metal Helm” That looked so weird that it already was kinda cool again :p So I decided to keep it. Since I have so much going on, on my head, I have to keep the jewelry to a minimum for my personal taste. So I just added the “Sinra” Earrings from Mandala and the “Axiom” bracelet made by [sys].

My 3rd and last outfit looked to me very elegant when I tried it on the first time.

The “Sonia Prestige Gown” as well is an asymmetric gown. The left leg is long down to the ground while the right one ends short under the hips at the right upper leg. The top only is held by a filigree chain round the neck.

I wanted to keep that elegant touch and though about something what could work as well as accessory and for jewelry since the little chain round the neck does not let any room for a necklace. All of  a sudden the “Butterfly Neobaroque” head-piece from Swallow came to my mind. For the shoulders I chose a mixture off 2 different Finesmith sets, or better parts of them 😉

For the earrings I just put some little and simple pearl earrings as I wanted to wear the “Celeste” face chain to complement the chain around my neck.

The show was a blast and I was very happy to be allowed to walk with our grads. Great looks, a great set and a cool bunch of amazing, skilled and upcoming stylists and models 🙂 Thank you Scala, thank you Seashell and Kryptonia!

LOTD 08/24/2015 – Yesterday @ GizzA

After having my romantic moments… I am now back to something more urban now 😉

My today’s look was the one, I put together yesterday for my GizzA workshift. Lately Giz released so many amazing cool designs and one of them were the “Holly Leggings”. The leggings are available in many different patterns and colors, but for yesterday’s shift I decided to go with the ‘Cotton Leather Black’ version. The reason why I chose them, was the way how the fabric and style go together. The leggings are made in a very dark grey, nearly black, just light enough, so tha the dark leather straps give an amazing accent on them.

The cool jacket as well comes from GizzA. The “Petra Jacket” is one of those jackets, that you put on and never wanna take it off*giggles*.

The extraordinary design, has an open front and what makes it even more special, the whole arms are slit. For me, a total tatoo lover, that is the most genius thing to show off my favourite tattoos, even with a long-sleeved jacket!

The leggings and jacket already made such a cool , rocking look, I kinda had t force it more towards with all my accessories, shoes and hair.

Gizza Bad Ass 2

The kick ass awesome necklace I am wearing was made by Mandala and lately I really like to wear it a lot for different styles as it is so versatile with the huge HUD that allows you to customize for colors and metals.

I was looking for a place to snap my pictures that goes with my todays look. And after some sim hopping I found this cool and urban realistic looking place called “Virtual Decay“, which has many dark corners for amazing pics 😉
